Super easy and convenient way to pay rent!

Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, this app makes it easier to pay rent and it’s very convenient. Plus their customer service people are top-notch and very helpful!

Have to admit I thought this would be a bad app at first but it totally saved me and makes perfect sense! All my other bills are at the first part of the month so having the convenience of splitting your rent payment over the month is crucial to my financial survival.

I had probably one of the greatest customer service experiences ever. These stand out to me because they’re so few and far between. They reply in a timely manner, they resolve your issue, and they explain whatever you happen to ask. Nothing against anyone else in customer service but Delaney solved my issues ASAP and I hope y’all give her a raise, bonus, time off, or a promotion! Great customer service is the name of the game with any product and she was the epitome of what people expect.

Great Concept, But Needs Improvement

Before I start complaining I want to say that, this app did pay my half of the rent in full on the 1st of the month, which was good. However, it takes them way too long to process your payment and take the money out of your bank account(It’s been processing for 2 days now). I was worried that my account would overdraft, as I have other bills being withdrawn from my account, so I had to reschedule those payments(inconvenience). The “customer service” team has no idea what they’re talking about half the time and send generic answers that you could have pulled up on the website. Customer service does nothing but cause more confusion. I’m actually going to deactivate my account after my 2nd payment is withdrawn because it’s a little bit stressful.

Suggestion: We shouldn’t have to submit a request just to make our second payment EARLY. That makes no sense. Like Klarna/Afterpay/QuadPay, there should be an option to payoff your balance by simply inputting your card or bank account information. If Flex is supposedly supposed to make things “flexible” why do you guys make it so hard to make an early payment or reschedule? We should be able to go to Flex and do both without having to contact your terrible customer service team.

This would be the perfect app if those options became available to users. It would also be better if you guys had a better customer service team.

They don’t like when you don’t need them

I used it for a month and between them saying they don’t charge late fees but you should make sure you have the money in your account if you don’t otherwise they spam your account with the charge until the money is in your account they will charge your account about 6 times everyday until the money is in your account they make it seem like there here to help but there not because doing that racks up overdraft fees on your account based on your bank of course they also charge you 20 dollars for the service that also makes no sense because if your in the business of helping why charge $20 and for the people who need this type of help $20 is a lot im saying this coming from a place of needing help at first then my situation changing and me not needing this at all because breaking up your rent payments into 2 payments then having car notes light bill phone bill car insurance and a gas bill this makes no sense just pay the rent all at once but also when you cancel this if you don’t pay it in the same month you canceled it way you get paid 2 days later but it’s the 1st of another month but you canceled it they charge the same $20 dollars like you used it for the whole month that they didn’t even pay the rent for I wouldn’t recommend this it’s just a long term problem for a short term fix and I know it sounds good because of the holidays coming up but this is not it happy holidays

Pros and cons

I have used Flex once and this month has been a complete failure. They give you a 5 day grace period for the first payments but don’t inform you that you need to have the funds in by 1pm. Mind you I looked online at there website and figure out the last day to have the funds in and all it says is by the 5th with no time frame given for that day to have the funds on the account. I have emailed them and they sent me a screenshot of all the transactions made on the 5th and the last transaction was made at 6:40pm which is very weird and confusing because they have told me to have the funds in by 1pm, so I don’t understand how they were still trying to get the funds out of my account after 1pm if that’s the deadline. They really need to put a self payment option on Flex so that way we don’t have to worry about this type of issues and we can just do it ourselves making it faster and convenient. I am just really upset because now I have a 3 day notice because you Flex not being fully informative about the first payment. If your giving us till the 5th why wouldn’t it be until 12am on the 6th would be the deadline. I’m really disappointed because Flex really helps me manage my money and be able to pay my rent without a hassle. I hope you guys make some changes real soon about this

terrible customer service

I was a this app user since September of 2020 and absolutely loved it. Rent was coming out on time and the correct amount (I split rent with a roommate who doesn’t use this app). Since December, things with rent have been odd since they have calculated rent way too high and I had to continue to email them to change it, and rent was paid at the last minute. In January, they paid my entire rent, roommates included, and I emailed them and told them it was incorrect. They only charged me for my rent and not my roommates. I emailed saying this was wrong and no response. Then, at the end of the month, they charged us the money we owed because of a system error and all of the money came out that week, and they then asked me to pay on the 1st of the month still even though rent was just taken out a week before. I figured I’d be able to handle it, because I normally pay relatively decent payments through this app. My February rent would not show up, and I emailed multiple people, with no response or “it will be fixed.” It was never fixed, leaving me with either paying my rent in full or getting hit with $160 late fees. Taylor from this app told me multiple times it would be fixed, but when 10pm came around on the last day, it still hadn’t been, and I had to pay all of my rent in full this month, leaving me with basically no paycheck for two weeks. Customer service will ghost you and leave you stranded. I do not recommend.

Not sure where they're buying reviews from...

I have used this app for 3 months, only 1 of them willingly. The first month they didn't withdraw the right amount to pay for my rent, because there was a credit on the account from when I paid my move-in fees. Ok cool, I'll just cancel it. I opened a case the day before to cancel my payment (no, you can't just press a button. You have to start a case with their garbage customer service team) but it turns out it takes them 2-3 days to respond to your case. Ok, cool so I can't cancel it. Just wait one more second though, it gets better. They didn't show the payment scheduled, so I thought they actually were able to cancel the payment, instead they just withdrew the money both times that month without notifying me in advance. I get paid on Friday, and they withdrew mid-week unexpectedly, which over drafted my account. Fast forward, I decide I'll give this app a chance again but I know now that there's a deadline for when to submit changes. So I submit for reactivation with 3 days before the date of payment, 2 more days than required! And still, they don't get back to me on time. There's no way to contact them by phone, and I'm 90% sure my case was auto-closed because I'm only receiving automated replies from them now. Without a doubt, this has been in my top 5 worst customer service experiences, and I work in customer service.

Works for me.....so far, so good.

Flex has been a game changer for me. I live in California, land of super expensive housing costs. So being able to split rent into two even payments ( I get paid biweekly ) has helped me a lot. I could try to do this on my own, but the fact is that is very difficult to get ahead enough on one salary to do this. I have read many of the poor reviews, and I could see where Flex wouldn’t work for some people. Luckily for me, my rent portal was easily accepted and my checking account info transferred across smoothly. Plus, I meet the criteria for income/ direct deposit requirements every month, ( my salary & hours worked always stay pretty much the same) so I haven’t had any issues yet. I have used Flex to pay rent for about 5 months now. I was very nervous about trying it since, hey, it is rent and it’s very serious if you have any issues with payment. The times I had a question, email response has been great, usually the same day. So I’ve had a great experience. If that changes, I’ll update this review accordingly. So, I guess I’m just lucky that Flex works for me. Just wanted to give a positive review now that I’ve used it several months without a hitch. Sorry that it doesn’t seem to work for everyone, though.

Hidden Information

So, when I first joined this app I was under the assumption that it would draft the amount of the price for each BI-weekly payment. Upon 2 days to paying the rent it notifies us that there must be a balance of so much before they can’t pull the amount out which completely blindsided me. If your going to offers a service it’s important to go ahead a lay out ALL OF THE DETAILS! This is really frustrating to find out information on such a short notice. Also a hard credit pull after the first month has been paid but I honestly don’t know if I will stay that long. It takes FOREVER for the payment to process from the account and due to the fact that you must have a balance of so much before they pull the amount out causes more financial burden due to having to cover other things and ensuring you have over the amount to make sure they will still pull the this app payment out. I think this is a great idea but there is much more that needs to be addressed. If your offering financial liberation by allowing multiple payments then you have to understand what a inconvenience it is to have to hold money to make sure it goes through meanwhile other things are piling up waiting for this app to deliver. I’ve only used this one month and I don’t think I’ll be going back.

Terrible.

This company is a fraud and joke! Will leave you on edge until they disconnect you on the day they’re supposed to take money from your account.

I am updating. Right before everyone received their stimulus I was contacted by this company about the horrible service. We were approved for March, but wouldn’t you know? The day before we get paid they unlink the account because we were negative at the time (even though our paycheck was going to cover everything and still leave us with money!). When we signed up and were approved there was never any mention of having to have over the amount they would pull in your account at all times.. even though the money they pull is set to be drafted on YOUR payday! That’s deceptive. Tell the people signing up and apartment complexes the reality of your system you’re offering! People live paycheck to paycheck who typically use these services. How do you expect that there won’t be times where a persons bank account is withdrawn? They’re still going to be paid on payday folks. So you can always withdrawal your half of payments each paycheck. this app is not only lacking transparency, there customer service is rude. Please avoid this service. If it wasn’t for the stimulus we would’ve been insanely screwed in April due to this app!

Good Concept, Needs to Expand More

Good concept, but very bad at communication. I had signed up and was approved and was ready to go for the 1st of next month. Everything was great. Then LITERALLY ONE DAY BEFORE THE NEXT MONTH, they email me saying my property management doesn’t support this app???? Why didn’t you tell me this before?? Why even approve me and have a chat with me and go through all this just to tell me I’m not supported on the very day before rent is due. Such an inconvenience! Thank God I worked a lot of overtime this last two weeks and hopefully I don’t miss this rent. I don’t really understand why my property management is not compatible anyway? I have RentCafe and I logged on and link everything correctly. Why do you have to have support with my actual property management? Can’t they just pay it and be that simple? There’s millions and millions of property managements out there, it’s unrealistic to support every single one out there. Just being linked up to RentCafe or whatever app we use should be enough. I’ll be looking for a similar app to this now. All in all, great concept, but such an inconvenience. Flex isn’t really big yet so if someone could make a competitor and execute their mistakes, you’ll have my money and many of other people’s money.

Customer service is a JOKE! The app is TRASH!

The customer service is only through email and they just regurgitate the FAQs at you constantly without actually trying to help your specific situation. They think we must not know how to read. If I am contacting customer service it’s 9/10 my last resort. They try to push all the issues on your property manager to get you to go away. Pathetic. I signed up a month ago and Flex said everything was working. It has shown the same message this entire month. The first came and said this app is in progress and will notify of me of issues. It never paid my rent, never charged me a dime, and never notified me of an issue. I had to contact them. They said there was no balance on my account yet I can see the bill plain as day. They tell me to update my property through Flex as if THE FAQs didn’t already say that. I did that several times before contacting customer service and have to wait for a reply. It is now the 3rd of the month and if my rent is not paid today I will be charged hella late fees. They said if it doesn’t process by 3pm email again. So y’all can ignore it until tomorrow and say oops? So stressful and bogus. I will just continue to pay my rent myself. Sounded too good to be true and IT IS!

No customer service number

I gave it 3 stars because I was happy to find a app that can help me pay my rent but when I knew I couldn’t pay my first payment in December. Because my finance have reduced 1,700 a month to $600. Covid has really had affected my life financially. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to afford my rent at my apartment. So I emailed this app to not pay my rent because they don’t have a customer service number. It took them awhile to respond . I moved out of my apartment and this app still paid my rent after I emailed them not to. Now they keep asking for their money when I knew I couldn’t afford to pay them. That is why I emailed them not to pay my rent. So now all they keep on doing is try to pull money from my bank account which I do not have. I was emailed by customer service agent that they get to many emails at the the first of the month that they can’t reply fast enough to all of them. I will say this again if they had a customer service number then I wouldn’t of wrote a 3 star review. I would of been writing a 5 star review. I hope in the near future they will get a customer service then things would be different

Frustrating customer service

I’ve been using Flex for almost a year and had no issues with it until this month. For some reason it did not pay my rent because according to them my bank account’s balance was low, which wasn’t true, and from there it just created a series of problems and frustration. My rent was late and not only I had to pay it all at once but I was also charged a $150 late fee. When I tried reaching out to them they never responded and when they finally did and I was able to let them know about my issue they took forever to reply. According to them they were going to refund me the $150 late fee that I was charged because of them but still there hasn’t been any follow up to this. I also learned from my management office that a lot of people have been having the same issues with this app and to me this is pretty sad because I thought they were better than this. Please do yourself a favor and try to avoid Flex if you can. Their costumer service it pretty much nonexistent and if you have an issue it would probably never be resolved. Very disappointing indeed. Would consider giving it another try only if they decide to hire a more competent costumer service team.

Flex is absolutely wonderful!

this app is absolutely wonderful! this app is there for you, if you need your rent paid. But, only have the means to pay half on the 1st - 5th. And, the rest on a specific day, during that same month. If, you don’t need them for the next month’s rent, all you have to do is reach out to them, and they will make a note on your account, until you’re ready to use them, again. Whenever you’re ready to use them again, all you have to do is reach out to them and they’re on top-of-it! They are ALWAYS prompt with their responses & professional! this app have helped me plenty of times. I’m so glad someone told me about them! If you’re ever in a bind-or-not and just want the security of your rent being paid on time and having 1/2 of your rent taken out of your account with-in the month; definitely sign up with this app. You really won’t be disappointed! I never do reviews! So, I must really mean what I’m saying. They’re awesome!

This app is terrible

I signed up using my cash app card and I was a bit paranoid because Flex is Very limited and not user friendly so it’s hard to know if it’s set up properly. When the time came to pay rent Flex didn’t process the payment on the due date which was the 2nd. So I paid my rent manually and cancelled the this app. Later that week I got a notification saying this app is trying to charge me for rent!!! So not only do they take forever to pay your rent they take forever to cancel they actually try to charge you regardless. Luckily I used my cash app card or it would have overdrafted me. I don’t think my account was cancelled until 2 weeks after I put the request in via email which is the only way possible and in between time I would get notifications saying this app is trying to charge me almost daily.
Months later I tried opening Flex out of curiosity and now I can’t even open the application on my phone. It just stuck loading despite deleting and redownloading. Imagined I still needed Flex I would be totally screwed. I’m very tech savvy too it’s not the phone it’s the terrible development of Flex and customer service system. STAY AWAY

Thank God For This Company.

I usually don’t leave reviews but this company I will definitely leave one. I am a single mom with one income. I am alway nervous and worried on how I am going to pay my bills because I never have enough. I saw an ad on instagram and figure it would hurt to try. I signed up and in a matter of hours someone added my apartment complex to the portal. I had a small issue login into the portal, but I sent an email and support fixed the issue. I was very skeptical at first but when I tell you prayer works it really does. I received an email saying my rent was paid, when I checked my rent portal it really was PAID! Thank you to this company I can avoid late fees and try to get back on schedule. I recommend this company to anyone. If you don’t receive an email right away be patient remember there are so many others in the same or similar situation. Thank you again this app pay. ❤️

Awful

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. My fiancé and I have hardly anything good to say about this app. There’s no customer service number to call when you have issues and now we understand why. Because they have so many problems and incompetent “agents” they may not be able to handle it. Every month we always have to contact them to change our dates for rent payments. Every month they say the issue is “fixed”. I don’t know if they don’t understand what fixed really means but the same issue continues month after month after month. Also due to their issues and not changing our payments dates on time it causes them to charge us MULTIPLE TIMES causing our account to be over drafted every month. The only good thing they have going is they pay rent so you don’t have to fork over the large sum at one time. Besides that it’s just awful all around. 0/10 would NOT recommend.

Now just ONE MONTH after writing this due to the trash system they used they didn’t pay our rent for the month and now we have late fees with our complex :)
Literally the worst “service” I’ve ever used. This company is an absolute joke 😂

DO NOT USE THIS APP

They paid my rent for this first month but Flex and accessibility/functionality are absolutely terrible. The only information I got was when I signed up, no further info after that point. No email stating they would make the payment. No confirmation of making the payment. No receipt! They charged me a fee and it doesn’t t add up to what was stated in the agreement, or from what I remember in the agreement since I don’t have a copy of that. Flex is a complete waste and so is the website. Customer service is terrible! This is people’s money we should at least be able to talk with someone if we have questions, but they hardly even have a way to communicate at all. I have no idea if I can cancel my membership or what next month will look like for my rent, all I know is that they plan on taking my money at some point. I don’t even have a payment schedule which is absolutely ridiculous! Despite the fact that they did pay my rent, I’m really disgusted in this company/app as a whole. I want to cancel my membership because of all the unknowns but I don’t even know how I would begin to do so! DO NOT USE Flex/SERVICE

By

Possibly false advertisement but Do like the service

I signed up about 3 months ago since it’s available through my apartment complex. It states (and why I signed up in the first place) it will help your credit to show the payments and help get approved for a home loan in the future which I have yet to see this app reporting to ANY of the credit report agencies. I have been trying to get a home and improve my credit so I am actively involved with credit monitoring and assistance and this app has not reported anything to any of the 3. So if that’s why you would also sign up-BEWARE.

But, With all that said I am still leaving a 3 star review because it does help tremendously with my finances and do like that. I pay $20 a month for Flexs’ services but it’s nice that I pay half on the 1st, (this app pays the full amount) and the other half in 2 weeks which by then I have been paid again Vs paying the full amount on the first. So that’s really a great feature. This isn’t something you sign up for if you can’t afford your rent.

Charges a membership fee

I was setting this up because I thought it was cool
Idea to be able to split up my rent payment but after I hit “confirm schedule” i see at the bottom that I’ll be charged $19 membership fee... why? But then also at the bottom of that I see this message “this app never charges late fees, interest, or other fees of any kind.” Ok then.

Another thing I don’t like is after you’ve signed up and this app pays your rent for the first time you’ll get a a hard inquiry on your credit report. I’m trying to stay away from doing anything else that would get me another inquiry ok my report. I currently have two that about to fall off In the new few months and really don’t want another one right now. “After this app has covered your rent for the first time, there is a one-time hard inquiry” It Dosent say this on Flex just like how theirs no mention of the membership fee until after you’ve already put in your information. I feel like the same information on the website needs to be on Flex that way people don’t have to be summarized until they’ve already set up their information with Flex

They Saved My Life

Alright ya’ll this company is legit and the real deal. They just saved my life and I’m still in shock in excitement with how much this changes the game. Okay first of all their only customer service is by email. No phone number. Which is kinda difficult but in reality, it would be impossible trying to handle the amount of calls that would come through with issues. Sometimes things take time. Response time isn’t the fastest But JENNY went well out of her way to make sure I was squared away. I ran into a few different issues with getting my bank account balance to update, but Jenny assured me she would get it taken care of by today. On her word everything was fixed and rent was paid ON TIME!!! I just...at a time when we are getting strangled with the cost of living always going up and wages not keeping up, this is a godsend of a service for those of us that constantly struggle. Thank you Jenny and thank you this app. I can’t thank you enough. Current balance = $0 !!

Thankful for this BLESSING!

Originally, I wanted to leave a negative comment because my apartment complex/portal wasn’t even on Flex . I contacted their support team along the way and they handled my EVERY need. (They only communicated through email, so be patient.) I made small mistakes when signing up and they fixed them within 24 hours. I was able to download Flex and within a 6-7 day interaction between support my rent was paid. I was able to schedule the payback according to my financial needs. Although this is a newer company I hope that it reaches more individuals in need. I am a teacher and I only get paid once a month. This is a heaven sent application that allows you to pay your rent your way. I will be using Flex moving forward and I’m hoping that it will be available for mortgages when I get my home in the next few years.

This app doesn’t do what it says

Soo I signed up for Flex a few weeks before November 1. I meet the requirements so I wasn’t really too worried about them not being able to help me.. days before the 1st I sent them numerous emails telling them that my rent HAS to be paid on the first or I get late fees. No one ever emailed back besides a blank message in reply to one of my messages. On the first, my rent was not covered. I emailed again asking would it be covered and this time I got a reply saying that yes it would. Literally minutes before midnight I check and my rent still wasn’t paid so I just paid it myself and changed my bank info and told them to cancel the account which was cancelled the next morning. I definitely would not rely on Flex unless you get a grace period to pay your rent cause so far this hasn’t been dependable. I thought it would be a cool service to help save money but I’d be doing what Im doing anyways which is putting half my rent to the side every pay so I don’t think this is worth it.

Make sure you have extra money

This is a great program when it works. However, the lack of communication puts people in terrible positions to have to come up with a lump sum for rent and late fees when they leave you hanging. I got an email the end of November saying my bank account was no longer linked (although I could see my balance, which suggests it was). I began emailing them to let them know the account was relinked and to verify if December rent would still be paid. I received no response until December 5th saying the account was not linked please relink the account. I relinked yet again and have been emailing them since with no response. I don’t get paid until the 13th and $240 in late fees has already been added to my already $1600 December rent. I will now have you use my entire check plus borrow money to try and make rent for the month. So much for food and Christmas for my kids. Thanks this app for nothing

HEAVEN SENT

I heard about this app from my neighbor who also used it and spoke highly of it so I began using it in the last couple of months and it has been phenomenal. I have a hard time staying organized and bill payments in general do easily confuse me but the customer service at this team was incredibly helpful. I have sent and asked dozens of what I think are probably very dumb questions and been assisted by Jenny most of the time. Jenny is mega efficient, quick and very patient with my crazy self. She does her job perfectly and always puts me at ease and I trust her to take care of my rent and I’ve never had an issue!!! Thanks, this app! Thanks Jenny! God bless!!!

By

Great

Thank h for helping me with November and I can’t wait to continue to use it .. it has helped me a lot I just wish we would know if for sure it will be paid the next month

Update this is my second month and this one seems to take forever. My last payment to them still says processing and won’t pay the rent until it’s settled and then said after the 5th they dot. Pay rent well tomorrow is the 5th and nothing yet and I got an email from my rent portal saying it was paid I’m so lost and no one can help me with this all they say Is they will cover December but my last payment needs to clear first and it did already

Literally “Avoid Late Rent Fees” LIFESAVER!!!

If you need this kind of service it is 1,000,000% worth it. I get paid bi weekly and 50% of the times it’s a real struggle to pay rent on the 1st. Last year I paid my rent late twice and it costs me $200 each time!! (That’s more money than 3 years of using Flex) And I paid the rent less than 5 days late but landlords LOVE making money off of the lower class so because we struggle they want to turn a profit. Thank you SO MUCH to this app for putting an end to that. I literally have 0 stress about paying my rent now. I’ve never written an app review before but I truly have gratitude for how Flex has helped me.

By

Very stressful

I would recommend to always have one month rent at least saved in your bank account to use this service. They aren’t flexible with their payments, and you always have to have the first payment in the first or the month. Even if they just took out the last month payment within that pay period. And their support is god awful and gives you wrong information. For instance, I was originally told I have until the 9th to get the rent money in our account but they back tracked and said it was the 5th.

Also, they do not pay the rent if for any reason it’s less than normal. Which unfortunately meant for me my savings I planned on using was used to pay rent one month.

By

Not dependable AT ALL!

I joined this app back in October of 2019, and I’ve had to pay late fees for two out of the four months that I’ve been a member due to issues and slow communication with this app Support.

After having to take out a loan at the last minute to cover rent and late fees for December 2019, Jenny from the support team told me that I was set up and ready to go for January 2020 rent. Today is now January 3rd (my rent due date), and Flex says I’m not set up for this app, so my rent won’t be paid. I’ve contacted support with no response, so now I’m stuck trying to scrape together over $1300 + $150 in late fees, because I was under the impression that the service I signed up for why dependable. I never got late fees before, and know I have had to pay two, which is having a negative impact on my rental history. DO NOT DEPEND ON Flex! HAVE A BACK UP PLAN!

Saved my life

I was in between jobs and needed to find a way to budget my bills and spending money. Rent was coming up on the 1st and I was getting nervous to spend all that money at once. Thank god my friend told me about this app! I signed up on the 31st and this app paid my rent the very next day. Just like that! I was able to come up with my rent in smaller amounts throughout the month and didn’t have to pay the $250 late fee to my landlord. Thankfully, I now have a gig, but I will continue to be using this app so that making my rent on the 1st is never something I’ll have to worry about again.

Hard to trust an app with paying my rent that seems glitchy

Every time I try to set up an account Flex freezes on the resident portal login screen. Every Single Time! I love the concept of Flex and would’ve loved to have signed up but I can’t get past the same screen so I guess I’ll never know. With a glitch in the system like this it gives me reservations about using it to pay my rent. I could be mistaken but I don’t think they even have a customer service number. So much for avoiding late rent fees. I’ll try again in a month or so hopefully the kinks will be worked out by then.

Very Convenient for those on a budget

I stumbled upon this app when I experienced a gap in pay whereas I would’ve been short with paying rent. I was easily approved and I will always be grateful for this app covering my rent. I would’ve given 5 stars however the repayment process takes days to deduct from my account and there is no option for instant payment. I know they are working to add more features. Also there is no referral bonus/incentives or tracking. I have referred numerous people and have to do a follow up with them to see if they’re were able to utilize Flex or not.

Great idea and awesome service!

I first heard about this app from an IG ad and it seemed to good to be true. I signed up at the first of the month and had my rent paid immediately. I get paid twice per month and had issues with aligning my this app payments with my paycheck schedule. After submitting my request and issues, I immediately received a call from customer support and they were more than accommodating in getting me squared away with a payment schedule that worked best for me. I highly recommend Flex for everyone!

I have been trying to reach you for 3 days now about why you are not able to pull the money from my card. You stated you will contact me with in 24 hours. IM TIRED OIF YOUR SHIT AND WANT SOMEONE TO FUCKING CALL ME BECAUSE YOU CANT FUCKING EMAIL ME. 3 days all you said is there is insufficient funds..... there is more then enough money an the card to make the payment, so whats your problem. 469 836-6846 if you dont call me before the 5th you will be paying my late fees for my rent.

Lisa Davis   1 year ago

I explained to them via email ( because they have no customer service phone number) that I am only paid on Fridays and any other day would be bad for me. They emailed me back saying that was fine just change the dates on the schedule which I attempted to do days before the due date but was not able to because it was still showing the previous month. They caused me an nsf fee 2 months in a row. And now they won't cancel after my many requests so I am going to chase bank and file a dispute and a block against them so that there won't be anymore interactions with these no phone number having crazy people.

Their concept is great, but their business model really stinks. Flex has no way to contact them except for an email address; their advertising is a lie, and they don't send out the rent money in a timely matter. Flex's message on December1st was that they sent out my rent money, but I got charged a $65.00 late fee for the month of December. My landlord needs to receive the rent money by the third of the month. I also get charged a $73.84 late fee onto the month of November bill which means that I changed the late fee for the month of October. Since Flex responsibility is to pay the rent on time Flex owes me the late fee.

Flex sucks they have terrible customer service and communication skills there is no phone number so you can’t speak with anyone directly they are not willing to work with people at all they stop your service without notifying them i have been left in a hard spot more than once due to their lack of service would not recommend using them

I have had no problems with flex the past year until this month, Well they paid my rent in full, no problem, I get the receipt emailed to me from my apartment complex, no problem. So I don’t think to check the app at all because I haven’t had to, the 3rd comes. 2 days after rent is paid. Well I look at the app, the app is saying there is a service issue and I need use the self pay before they can take my first half of money….but I’ve already had it paid automatically so I can’t use self pay if there’s nothing to pay. And I’ve sent about 3-4 emails since the 3rd. So flex is taking 6days now to take my money from my bank account and I’m most likely not going to have it if it goes another day, I have other bills pulling out. Customer service was not this bad that long ago, but now it’s ridiculous. And I don’t know the penalty if I don’t pay this first payment after they’ve paid my rent.

WORST COMPANY EVER. They have my rent money and are not paying my complex the rent. So now Im racking up late fees and guess what???? THERES NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM OTHER THAN AN EMAIL THEY NEVER RESPOND TO???? WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F? I dont want to get evicted. These people are messing with peoples lives and homes. They should be SHUT TF DOWN

I started using flex in May of 2022, rent payments went fine, in June I did not get paid until June 10th, which is apparently past the time frame that flex allows for the first payment to be deducted from your account. I was not aware of this. So they did not pay my June rent, and then they temporarily closed my account telling me that I could request for them to reactivate my account account which I attempted to do for the month of July, which they denied stating that it was because a change in my credit score or some other bull crap excuse but that I can request for them to reactivate my account in 60 days. So I just recently requested to reactivate my account and then denied me again stating that the reason why this time is because in the past they were unable to pay my rent due to not having the funds in my account in the past. Well duh, so why in the hell did they tell me to request to reactivate my account in 60 days? Talk about a complete waste of time and talk about putting me in a terrible financial crunch! Customer service is non existent and I don't know if a real person is even sending the emails? This company is absolute garbage and puts renters in a terrible position with no warning to them that could end in them being homeless because of the crap this company does. DO NOT USE FLEX!

Please cancel me and Don't take any money out of my account Thank you. The reviews are to bad and scary for me.

Gregory Baker   1 year ago

Convenient and easy until you are ready to move out. Very difficult to deactivate and zero access to contacting anyone from Flex. Worst experience, stay away! They took out additional $1200 and said to contact property manager, property manager said Flex is 3rd party, nothing they can do.

Jamonda M   1 year ago

The customer service is a joke. They really need to have it to where you can call. It’s really ridiculous. They told me to contact them at 6pm via email if my rent hasn’t been paid on the 5th. I did that and they never responded and they close at 7pm! This would’ve been my first month using them and so far bad impression. I probably wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. There’s too many issues and no way to resolve them except email which they claim to be the fastest way to reach them and get a response, but that is false. They don’t respond in a timely manner when there’s an issue.

Worked for 4 months, then they randomly cancelled our account and won’t contact us. Extremely disappointed in the lack of action and professionalism with this “service”.

Meagan McVay   1 year ago

So I think flex is a great idea. But it’s been executed poorly. This is my first month using it, and my first payment was taken out of my account. However my renters portal does not show it anywhere that my rent has been paid. And there was no receipt emailed to me, and no where in the Flex app does it show where they received my payment. There seem to be a lot of glitches.

I want to sign up for the service I live at Forty200 and they no longer use Resman we use Active Building for online payment. How do I proceed.

China Al-amin   1 year ago

This service is TRASH: They don’t have a phone number that gets you to anyone so all communication is via email (they don't respond fast). They drafted the funds from my account but did not pay the rent on time so I had a late fee of over $200. They paid that with the rent but charged me the late fee. This was absolutely their fault but did not take responsibility, just continued to blame it on me. This could have been resolved with a two minute phone call but they are too lazy to pick up a phone and handle a problem. Trash!!! Do not use this service!

Thanks for ask but no thank you I don't want to activate the account my rent is late, I have fees and just for what for nothing this is a company that I can't trust cause my money was in the account you guys put the money on hold since the 1st of the month on the 4 of January the money still on hold rent not paid and I have now a late fees and rent not paid I tried to communicate with someone no one care you know what trash of service this is my kids roof and no I do not need you guys since your service is not reliable

This app sucks. I just got a notice saying I’m late on my rent and basically the prop manager said they can’t get the money because their portal doesn’t work with Flex’s so now Im looking at the money because im waiting to start on short term disability and have no income and I can’t reach anyone. I will never use this app again.

Kimberly Shropshire   2 years ago

This is my first time trying Flex and they have already deducted my first payment on 9/30 BUT have not paid my rent, which is due by tomorrow 10/3 or I will be charged late fees. I have emailed customer service several times and have not gotten a response back yet. I’m really feeling as if I’ve been scammed at this point.

Flex is horrible. Customer service is slow to respond, no live person and has screwed up my rent 2 months in a row. I do not recommend this company at all. Find another one.

I’m going to be making a Fraud/Scam page for social media. I have a huge following. I am the one who will stop them. Everything eventually comes to an end. And their firm is up. I spoke to my bank. And to make a long story short, If you have given these ppl your personal information, Even if you block them from taking money, They can use another name:company and take money from your account. If they have 500 people signing up for flex, And steal just 1 dollar out of each account every each week., That’s 12,000,000 a year. Or even 1 dollar from each account monthly. 99% of people won’t miss a dollar from his/her account. And I’m just using 500 ppl for an example, Uou can rest assured they have scammed at least 5000 people. Now do the math. I’m very bright. I understand Scam. You will need to close your ENTIRE account

Andrea   2 years ago

This business is a FRAUD. It is a Scam. The money they asked to be in my account (half of my rent) is there and has been there since the 31st) They keep texting me saying “Flex will pay your rent when you have the funds to cover your first months rent of xyz. I don’t know who these people are that left good reviews. Maybe they’re own associates. Flex is getting your personal information bank account number, and credit card numbers with no intentions of paying your rent. (My rent is late because of them. Now I have a 100 dollar fee) The reason they want your personal information, is to steal money from you at a later time, and We can imagine what else they can do with your info. “Sell it”. I’m about to report them yo BBB and also share this on social media’s. People need to be aware of this. A very dangerous thing giving your banking information out in the first place. 😧

I signed up for this app on September 1, 2021 and canceled on the same date. I paid my rent in full directly to my property company September 1, 2021. FLEX still deducted funds from my account on September 2, 2021 after I had already canceled. They cannot be reached by telephone, only email. The refuse to cancel the payment and return my funds. I have contacted my bank and will be disputing all current and future charges. DO NOT USE THIS APP the customer service is awful and inconvenient.

They stole my money...Warning, scam alert....... They paid for my July rent fine, but when August came, They paid for it but my Apartment complex rejected it, and charged my bank account 392.00 i tried to contact them on the 1st to see what was going on, on the 5th, no replies to my email... I had to borrow some money from my parents to pay August rent + late fees, Now Im in the hole for 392.00 they charged me and I have another charge coming on the 16th for another 392.00 + 19.99 membership fee...... I emailed them to cancel my account before the 2nd charge hit on the 16th, 5 days later still no reply..... I doubt i will see that 392.00 back...... Please stay away!

Don't bother. They've denied me service twice now. And absolutely refuse to tell me why. Inquiries are met with non-answers and statements that they have sent an "adverse action letter" which I never received. When I "circle back after 60 days" to try again, it won't even let me reapply. Horrible business practices and no customer service whatsoever.

My rent is usually paid on the first not this Month I keep getting the run around that rent payments are processing until the 5th today is the 4th and nothing

Natalie Gough   2 years ago

All replies from customer service were auto generated, I never actually talked to a person which explains why my questions were never answered and my issue was never resolved. I ended up canceling my account and the next day I was still receiving text messages saying my bank couldn’t link even after my account was cancelled. It’s all very annoying and not worth the effort seeing as once your bank links it will continuously unlink making you worried and nervous your rent won’t get paid on time. Save yourself the time and stress and just pay your rent yourself or have a conversation with your landlord cause this app is definitely no help

I’ve been using flex for a while, an usually everything is great, up until a weekend, or a day you need to talk to an agent immediately. They have no phone number, an apparently they don’t respond to msgs over the weekend. I contacted them numerous times, before the 24 limit to extend my 2nd rent. Not only did on one contact me u til monday, but it was to late to stop the payment. Going thru the pandimic things are hard, an any extra funds we can get we definitely take. I asked for flex to extend my payment until pay day, due to having overwhelming about of bills to pay, an my stimulus check was all set to cove r them. It only did they charge me once, an I got a fee for low funds, but they did it 3days later again an wiped out half the money I needed to cover my household. This left a bad taste in my mouth, ans im suffering to cover the bills this week. I think you all should get a customer service number so ppl who give you their bank information can contact you. I plan on ending my membership soon as I get on my feet. I’m being charge $20 a month extra for them to completely ignore my request which was damaging to my overhead.

This is a HORRIBLE company that overcharges a "service fee" for nothing, because there is no customer support. I have tried to get them to resolve an issue for weeks, with NO REPLY, but they're quick to charge me a service fee. I recommend to all of you with issues to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Go to any review site you can find and let the world know what an incompetent and lazy business this really is. Greed is an ugly thing.

Keenan Johnson   3 years ago

CapitalOne does not work with Plaid OR Flex due to 2 factor authentication. Neither will BMO Harris. Banks that do not work with Plaid should be taken off the list. It's extremely misleading and there should be a list of banks that may have issues. Instead I was told it may not work with the app and to 'just go get another bank'. Not so easy. Zero stars.

This app was fine in the beginning of the pandemic. But their communication is terrible. If they can’t or don’t pay your rent they don’t tell you anything and your left in the dark as to what’s going on. You can send numerous emails and never get a response. Until you’re already in the hole

Lindsey Lindsey   3 years ago

Not only is the app a joke...has anyone with a complaint EVER even heard from anyone in customer service?? In a hurry to make money off people in need and forgot to hire and train a responsible staff first??

Teresa Lindsey   3 years ago

The app will process my application for days and never come to a decision. Support is non existent and absolutely laughable. Hire and train your staff properly or get off the market

I signed up with high hopes and relief. Their customer survive did not get back to me for over a week when my rent was due. They had some “system updates” which they should have told their customers. Overall would never ever rely on this company. So disappointed.

Destiny Street   3 years ago

I am very frustrated with this company. The first couple of months it worked great but after being told that my December rent would be covered, I came home to an email and a phone call saying my rent had not been paid and that I would owe a late fee of $125 if it was not paid by 11:59 pm that night. I reached out to flex as soon as I received that email and got no response at all after sending 3 or more support messages. I waited until 11:20 pm to see if flex would come through thinking maybe it was just a delay, but still nothing. So I had to round up $1355 to pay my rent so I wouldn’t be late on rent or charged a late fee. Now I’m going to be behind on my other bills that I had planned for this pay period thanks to flex. I don’t understand why I was told that morning that my rent would be covered just for it not to be and for no one to respond. I sent a message this morning explaining that I had not heard back from anyone still. I got a rely with the exact same message as I did the morning before, “that my rent was queued to be covered and it should be taken care of in the next couple of hours” . My response was that they are late because my rent it due on the 3rd not the 4th and that I had to take care of it myself. I need someone to contact me ASAP about that.

Aishat Muibi   3 years ago

flex reached out to me saying my ACH and check option was disabled, so I reached out to flex to let them know they can go ahead and try again. My rent is still not paid and this is already the 3rd.
