The Container Store app consistently crashes my iPhone Pro 11, running iOS 15.5 (the latest, as of this date), within hours of installation. Not just TheContainerStore crashes, but the entire phone. I could barely get a text out to friends and family, saying that my phone wasn’t working, before the phone froze for 2 minutes, then had the white-on-black Apple logo screen for another 2 minutes. A friend asked whether I had recently installed any new apps, and I remembered installing this one the previous night. I deleted it, and the problem went away. After both Apple and Container Store both released updates, I decided to try again. Same issue. Here’s hoping the third time’s a charm. Otherwise, this Container Store app is getting permanently deleted.

I was hoping TheContainerStore would be more user friendly than the mobile site, but I find it jut as frustrating. The layout for item information is not intuitive, adding items to the cart is tricky, and I find I have to start my search over every time I go back from and individual item’s page. I also get logged out every time I click out of TheContainerStore , which I find unnecessary; every time I want to check a note or photo on my phone, need to respond to a message, etc., I need to log back in, even if it was only a 10 second diversion. Overall, TheContainerStore is rather difficult, glitchy, and a disappointment so far.

I use TheContainerStore to keep a shopping list active as the website is not mobile friendly. However, app not much better. Super slow to load pages and run search function, when toggling back from an item page to your search results will often freeze and just reset to home page forcing you to start search over. Shopping cart doesn’t consolidate items - if I add one and then go back later and add a second cart doesn’t show the item with “2” as the quantity, it lists the item twice.

I am sooooo excited about TheContainerStore! I was starting to get suspicious about why the container store didn’t have an app yet… there’s an app for everything right..? officially now there is! You can organize all of your project lists and track which tier you’re on and how close you are to the next tier and unlocking more benefits!

Been waiting on an app for a long time. They have already fixed some of the original bugs. However iPad app need work. It is not designed for an iPad fully yet. The screen does not fill and the graphics are fuzzy and hard to read. iPhone app is great but wish I could use it on my iPad as easily.

Shopping on TheContainerStore is very difficult because of the quantity/add to cart function. Every time you add to cart, it does not reset the quantity. So if I decide instead of 6 bins I want 7, I get 13 bins. Plus, when I go to my shopping cart, it loses my place of where I was shopping and the quantities I wanted. You cannot toggle between cart and shopping without it losing all your previous work.

I’ve been waiting for an app for the Container Store forever! This has a great feature where you can scan a price in the store when there isn’t a price listed. You can also place orders right from TheContainerStore and check the status of an order. So fantastic!

Love that you can scan products in-store with the scanner and see where your order is in the process of being prepared.

I have been a container store enthusiast for over 10 years and was always disappointed they didn’t not have an iPhone app. And now they do! I’m so excited!! This is amazing!’

My favorite store… love being able to price check in stores. And new loyalty program seems super cool as well.

I’ve been wanting TheContainerStore forever!

Been waiting for TheContainerStore forever and it’s great! However TheContainerStore constantly signs you you (no option to stay signed in) and it’s super annoying.

As an employee and customer I’m so thrilled we now have an app!

I just downloaded this to use and while looking at the my account features, it keeps logging me out for inactivity, while I’m using TheContainerStore .

So glad the container store has an app now and it’s great!

I’m an artist, and shopping for my storage needs can often get really time-consuming. The Container Store app thankfully has everything I need to make stacking my shelves painless AND pretty! I love that I can load TheContainerStore quickly, type in a search for whatever I need, and it brings up awesome solutions. I specifically need to break up storage on my bookshelves into smaller compartments, bins, and boxes. The Container Store has it all! I found all my sticker and craft storage needs here. Wheeee! Can’t lay out a closet or even shop for items I know I want. It keeps bouncing me back to ‘sign up for a consultation’.

TheContainerStore keeps crashing and signing me out while using TheContainerStore .

Excited for TheContainerStore , especially when shopping in store!

It still needs to work out a few things.
When looking at my orders, it may be better to see what was purchased in-store and separate online purchases. It’s difficult to differentiate what was ordered in store vs. what what purchased online.
A breakdown of exactly what was returned, quantity, amount and what bank card it was returned to?
Tracking an order. I should be able to see the status by clicking it, not typing the number, zip code, and see what is available for pickup and what may be missing from the order. Either maybe give option to cancel the item or wait for the next available pickup day?
Having to used Face ID to load TheContainerStore . I feel like it may best to use that if you’re only trying to purchase something?
A drop down menu instead of clicking too far ahead?
Having a “<—“ (back button) so we don’t loose progress of what we are searching through the web?
Maybe for it to kind of reflect what you see on the web onto TheContainerStore ?

Just a few suggestions now that we have had it for a while!

I have had Elfa products for 40+ years, and have moved most of them as much as 4 times. I’ve been happy with store service, installation,support, contactless pickup, ship to home. What has annoyed me is online shopping - not the concept, the mechanics. It is not intuitive to find what I’m looking for, even if I’m only searching Elfa. With TheContainerStore there seems to be endless scrolling, the setup is for the phone, not the tablet, and I can’t seem to avoid refining the search at least twice. Then I get to checkout, and suddenly there are items unavailable that I must discontinue. I have to search them out (not simple), figure out if ANY are available if I ordered a multiple, then decide if I want the rest of my order. Why can’t I find this out when I first select the item? And why can’t I get info as to when the item will be restocked without launching a separate inquiry? This might be possible with the website on the PC, but not in my Elfa closet on the tablet. Wishlist it is, I suppose.

The frequencies of sign out is beyond obnoxious, even with Face ID enabled. You’re not a financial institution! Sign outs also result in a loss what I was browsing. Also when I add something to my cart the pop-up screen is too big and it’s hard/slow to respond to my desire to continue shopping. Have left TheContainerStore several times out of sheer frustration of wanting browse and BUY efficiently. Based on personal experience, I suspect the annoyances of TheContainerStore is probably hurting sales more than helping. Fixing the sign out frequency should be a small lift engineering-wise that will dramatically improve the CX/UX. For reference, I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max.

For the second time this year, I have placed an order using TheContainerStore that I have used for the past 7 years successfully only to have the transaction process on TCS credit card (Synchrony Bank) and TCS have no record of the transaction. It is my birthday month and a 25% off sale is happening, but I won’t be getting jack because Synchrony refuses to remove the transaction so I can do something as an alternative and Container Store doesn’t think I ordered anything at all! I have found many similar products at other stores and will probably not be willing to give Container Store my money if their app is not improved. To say the least…super sucky.

I have learned my lesson and will NEVER use TheContainerStore in front of a client to show them products. I will always use the website over TheContainerStore every time. The pop up ‘Oops something went wrong on our end’ shows up every time I use it. I have deleted and reinstalled TheContainerStore numerous times, but it has NEVER functioned properly throughout a normal product browsing session. I downloaded it shortly after it was launched and it has been a disappointment from the beginning and has never functioned properly. The insider dashboard is always down. It’s almost as if they used a high school kid to develop TheContainerStore. It’s embarrassing and frustrating!!

Downloaded TheContainerStore because the performance of their website is so terrible for me on mobile that I hoped it would be better. It isn’t, scrolling stalls every time a new line of items is about to appear, buttons react seconds after you tap them. It’s very obviously something in the react vein, website wrapped in some wrapper. My one star isn’t necessarily pointed solely at TheContainerStore because they obviously have engineering issues on web as well, but I don’t get why this can be so bad in 2022. Not like there aren’t tons of other stores running stores of their inventory size that crumple under the constrained resources on mobile. 😕

TheContainerStore really is broken. This is the first time I write a review for any app because I am truly frustrated with all the glitches. I created my account, got an email saying to click on the link to verify my email, it proceeded to take me into an endless loop of prompting me to sign in, getting the email, clicking on the link and back again. Then when I went on TheContainerStore itself (instead of clicking on the link that only created more emails asking for the same exact thing each time), it wouldn’t even allow me to log in.

As bad as their mobile website is, TheContainerStore is considerably worse. It loads 3-4x slower and responds 10x slower. To go back one screen you have to press the arrow on top left. On so many apps you can swipe right on the left margin and go back one screen. But not on this pathetic app. Navigation is painful and often breaks and bails to the main screen.

It's a shame that a store that positions itself with trendy, time-saving, friendly and easy-to-use products has a clunker of a website and a dinosaur of an app. Wonder what Marie Kondo thinks of that?

You will not see the full info until you place order. Your pre-tax is on one page, your total two clicks away after the payment is executed. Therefore, using United Mileage Plus App is complicated if you want to earn extra miles on purchase, because you’re forced to guess what amount to put on the gift card not to have small change left over or to be having to enter a credit card to cover the difference. Search for product is also not well optimized. Overall - hate using TheContainerStore.

The most annoying thing is that it constantly logs you out, so if you're in the middle of doing or looking at something and want to come back to it, you better make it quick because once it logs you out it forgets everything and you have to start all over again. So ANNOYING. With that in mind, you honestly might as well just use the browser, at least it'll keep the same page open when you need to do something else (like take a measurement).

I really do enjoy the Container Store’s App! It’s easy to search for products and save my shopping history. However, you can’t share products from TheContainerStore . As a Professional Organizer, I like to show my clients the products before I order them. Taking screen shots just isn’t my favorite. So, Container Store, a share feature would make this 5⭐️!

I am thrilled that The Container Store finally has an app. It makes it easier to keep tracking of wish lists, shopping lists, etc. on-the-go.

I don’t like that it appears to sign me out due to an “expired session.” I would expect that of a banking product, but not an app for a retail store. Thankfully I have Face recognition to quickly access, but that step is a small annoyance.

I have had issues multiple times while attempting to use TheContainerStore for purchases designated for curbside pick up. I should be able to designate a day for pickup instead of being forced into accepting the day the items are available. Also app would not save my default payment method.

Esmeralda & Tracy at the Oxnard CA location are AWESOME! Thank you for your excellent customer service!! There were lots of customers in the store on Memorial Day. Although there were only 2 of them managing the store, they did so with grace and calm. Esmeralda answered all the questions I had to my great satisfaction. 👍🏼👍🏼

I went into the Oxnard Location and was introduced to Melissa who does the space planning. She was so well informed and helped me make choices that’s will work for my storage place. I will use her for closets and built ins after construction.

I have been using especially the hangers for at least 20 years and they have followed me around the country. I have used plenty of other products, I bought my son his first desk at the age of 10 and he is now 39 years old.

I forgot my password and had to reset it. Since then, TheContainerStore won’t open. It opens to the Container Store icon, then just sits… and sits… and sits. I’d contact support, but when I click the icon, it tries to open TheContainerStore -which doesn’t actually open.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, but as soon as I log in, I get the Container Store icon page and nothing more.
I’m going to uninstall and unsubscribe to the newsletters in hopes I forget the Container Store exists. I’m sure I will -eventually.

I am new to TheContainerStore . I’ve always shopped from the PC. I’m trying to drop organizers into a large kitchen drawer. 1- I can’t select the pieces I want to put in the drawer because they’re not available with Projects. and what is available, it’s bigger than the pieces I want to use. 2- there needs to be a way to set the drawer dimensions so that you cannot edit them by touching the screen. It’s very hard to move pieces around inside a drawer when the 3-D view keeps shifting. therefore, for me at this moment, projects is irrelevant and useless. Y’all need to fix that.

Big fan and loyal customer of Container Store but trying to buy anything via TheContainerStore or browser lately has become too frustrating to bother with. I have items in my cart and can only get it to load 10% of the time if I try different browsers multiple times. I’ve logged out and back in again. I’ve cleared my cookies and cache. I’ve deleted and reinstalled TheContainerStore . All multiple times. Nothing works. Will take my money elsewhere.

TheContainerStore should go back to the items you'd just searched for, or were just looking at after you go look in your cart. It's so annoying to look in the cart to remind yourself what you've got in it, and then click shop and it brings you all the way back to the main screen and you have to start over with your search. Also, it doesn't always recall your last searched items
