I tried to use this app for my guinea pig who has an eye injury because I’m on vacation in Morocco and can’t take him myself. My neighbor is pet sitting for me and can’t drive him to the vet. A friend recommended this app to me so I could talk to a vet online while abroad. My friend is Canadian and I’m American. this app is supposed to work for the US, Canada, and the UK. I tried to use the website but was unable to get past the part that said “what are your concerns” it didn’t let me select anything or progress any further. I tried downloading Vetster to see if it would work better. Everything looked ok until I had to enter my location in. I put in my address and tried to select my region. The only options it had were England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales with no way to change it to the US. I’m just very frustrated that this app is available to Americans, yet it only showed the UK with no way to change it. Now I have to buy a Moroccan SIM card and hope that my neighbor can take my guinea pig to the vet.

Useless no vets can get my dog a prescription?
Why would I want to pay money to talk with somebody that can’t help?
This service is only useful if you can get a prescription for your pet. You can find plenty of information online for free.
My dog has poison ivy. I’ve tried plenty of non prescription treatments from bathing, to witch hazel, benedryl, calamine.
I need a prescription for prednisone to make her comfortable and there’s like 5 vets willing to charge a minimum of $65 but nobody can write prescriptions? U S E L E S S

Total rip off. The Dr’s can legally write prescriptions but do not have the proper licensing for a pharmacy to fill anything. This has been a complete nightmare. The biggest waste of my time and money. Dr Lum and a CSR from the platform had both acknowledged they are well aware of the issues of getting prescriptions filled. The customer service rep for this app specifically acknowledged “pharmacies may have specific policies regarding telehealth prescriptions” I have screenshots from Dr Lum stating he can legally write prescriptions but he also does not have a DEA so he is aware the majority of pharmacies will not work with him, he also has a reputation a multiple pharmacists in the area for being extremely rude and difficult to work with. COMPLETE SCAM!!

I connected to the next available Dr and was told they could not do any RX because the State of Texas does not allow it. The doctor gave me a choice of getting some tips and advice about the problem my dog was having or cancel. I asked if I cancel will I get my money back and he said Yes. So I decided to get my money back instead of paying for a conversation. The vet thought he disconnected the call but he didn’t and he yelled the F word and then called me a Stupid Bi+[#. So yeah will never use Vetster or the voucher they issued because of the vet the approved to put on her has a big potty mouth and must needed that 85 dollars pretty bad to be so angry.

I spoke with Dr. Ortiz for two minutes so he could tell me to give my cat Benadryl while he was at a sports bar with his friends. He didn’t even bother hanging up the call before continuing his conversation with his friends. I paid $60 for 2 minutes to talk to somebody who was late to our appointment and who was questionably drunk. He wouldn’t show his face, I talked to a portrait of a football playe, nor did he look at my cat at all. I didn’t feel comfortable to expand on my cats symptoms because he was in a public place and even though I was in a panic about my animal, I felt myself rushing out of the conversation.

I was not happy to be paying for a Dr. who was on a train during my appointment. He said early in the call he sometimes gets spotty internet but he would go mute for 30 seconds at a time. It didn’t help that he was wearing a mask so I couldn’t tell if he was answering me or not since audio hardly worked. When his phone moved was when I saw he was on a train so I asked him about it and he confirmed it saying he was visiting some friends. Now it’s almost 4 days later and I’m still waiting for this app to verify to Chewey the 2 prescriptions for my cat but there seems to be no customer service number I can call and speak to someone. I live alone and I don’t drive but this app is not working out either. I wish Chewey vets could prescribe meds since their customer service is excellent

We have a very sick puppy. It’s late on a Saturday night and the closest vet is a couple hours away because we are traveling in an RV.
I thought this would be a good alternative. I waited on the call for 45 minutes, appt at 11:00pm and the Dr. never got online. They had no problem taking my $120 right away though.
The next morning I get a text that the Dr. was unable to join. You couldn’t do that when he knew he couldn’t join. Very unprofessional.

Don’t be suckered into paying for this service WITHOUT checking state Regulations and state laws regarding vets and doctors prescribing from online virtual visits. it’s also smart to check if there’s any veterinarian in your area that could do more than just look at your dog on camera and not prescribe anything.
There was a handful of doctors in the State Of Alaska, and the ones that were on were not allowed to prescribe.
What is gonna do all they can do is look at me and talk to me on video?
It makes no sense. We should get refunds and situations like this or they should require us to answer a question if we are going to require prescriptions or not if not, it should implicitly tell us the laws for our state regarding prescribing. This was like the third app that I dealt with with this problem.

The vet we saw was amazing and very helpful, sent our script for us to pay right away. I payed for his medication on July 14th the same day he was seen, and it said it would be delivered on the 18th or 19th even though I payed for overnight shipping. Well the 19th came and gone and still no medication. There is still not any tracking information available. Customer service said oh it will be to you by the end of the day on July 21st. Still never came. Now I’ve had to seek help from another vet with another pharmacy service to get my dog the medication he needed. I payed over $100 between shipping and the medication for the meds never to be delivered. Vetster must be some kind of scam on the pharmacy side of things. Would NOT recommend using Vetster for your pets.

My husband and I are traveling out of town for the summer- being away from our home vet we made and appointment with this app. Our pup was having discharge from his eye and it appeared reddened. When we saw the option for telehealth for pets we thought, “perfect!”. However to our dismay, what we thought would end in a simple antibiotic ointment for his eye, actually was just an appointment for advice. The vets on Vetster cannot write prescriptions, so we are out $80 for what we already knew. The vet was very friendly, but this service seems like a scam.

The doctor never showed and after 15 minutes, this app customer service suggested they refund my prepaid visit - they did not provide another vet which they should have if they’re going to stand behind their service. I lost critical hours waiting for the appointment to no avail. I wasn’t able to leave this review on the vet’s profile - so her reviews skew more positive than she deserves.

Essentially useless in my area (Florida). Vetster lists tons of doctors but all say “cannot prescribe medication.” There is a menu for filters but you can’t filter based on ability to prescribe or any other characteristics about the vet except availability making this filter essentially useless since I already selected availability before getting to the screen with a list of vets. Super disappointed. I should be told out right vets in my area can’t write prescriptions instead of being sucked into Vetster scrolling endlessly just to find out no one can do this in my area.

I joined in order to have easier access to oral flea meds. I need them for at least three months until any infestation in my house has timed out and I can stop the extra protection. That’s my plan but how can I do it? Or get all of the veterinary and nobody is doing prescriptions. I think what I’m doing is smart by not overdoing any medication and the situation temporary. I need help with that regular veterinary is not easily available in my remote area of Hawaii.I’m not finding the help I need here. Someone will answer?

First vet I booked never showed up to the visit. Customer service linked me with another vet however I still had to wait another 45 minutes. I had suspicion that my cat had fleas and the vet agreed. She said she would offer a prescription when done. After the visit she sent me a message to just get over the counter treatment without a prescription ( I could’ve done that myself without the whole vet visit). I messaged back asking about prescription flea medication and never got a response. Overall not a great experience for a simple problem

I had an amazing consult with the vet but ehen my dog needed an rx that’s where it really upset me. He needed an antibiotic for a skin infection, and of course she couldn’t call it in to a local pharmacy. I had to get it shipped through Vetster . Well the fastest is 2 days and it costs $15 to ship! On top of the rx price! I mean, its an antibiotic, I wanted to start it that night! I chose the $5 shipping which says 2-4 day figuring it would arrive closer to 2 but the shipping estimate says 4 days. I’m so upset with myself but luckily his medicated shampoo is working and his skin looks better. I am NOT happy about this and I feel duped 🤬

I really like this app and I’ve had really good appointments with all the veterinarians. My issue with the program is that this app allows the veterinarians to cancel scheduled appointments at the last minute. I’ve experiences this at least four times where I have made the appointment, and scheduled my day around the appointment, only to have the vet cancel on a whim. You receive a message to reschedule and of course at this point there’s nothing available in the same timeslot. It’s very disrespectful, frustrating and it shouldn’t be allowed. this app should do a better job of managing this with their registered veterinarians and should ding them when this happens and should drop any vet who does this habitually. Another issue is that if you haven’t had an appointment with the vet that dumped your appointment at the last minute you you can’t rate them. So a lot of these vets that have dropped appointments with their clients have five star ratings. That doesn’t seem right either.

This is a great idea however when you go to pick up your prescription you learn that human pharmacies have a hard time filling a small dog prescription. If this app partnered with Walgreens/CVS/Costco to stock pills for dogs this would be an amazing app. My dog showed alarming signs of a urinary infection late at night and I was super relieved to use this app until her antibiotic prescription was an expensive $70 liquid suspension I had to give her 3 times a day for 14 days. They had no antibiotic pill small enough for a 30 lb dog. Pretty miserable for her to get liquid meds 3x/day for 14 days.

It was a struggle to communicate with the vet. I’m on great internet and can zoom fine but the vet couldn’t hear me well and he app was freezing. Like I couldn’t click on the chat to screenshot what she recommended. I tried many times to upload a photo. Only once could I get it to go through. And only spoke to her for about 5 min because we couldn’t communicate. Luckily this wasn’t a major issue but it seems like it would be really difficult to diagnose much more.

It was weird. I ran a speed test and my upload and download are high. So I’m not sure what the problem was

I received a lot of good advice from the vet I was matched with. However, she was unable to prescribe any medications, which the site led me to believe she would be able to do.

It is hard to get a vet appointment in my area, which is the reason I used this service.

So I want to say I had a great experience with Vetster . Vet was awesome. Answered all my questions very empathetic and in my state was able to perscribe medicine. However, one thing developers need to look into. I was invited to join the call 10 minutes before the appointment so I did. At that moment it started counting down my time. The vet arrived on time but because Vetster asked me to join 10 minutes earlier it spent those 10 minutes of my 40 minute call before the scheduled time and the vet arrived. Vetster should not start counting down your minutes just because you accepted the alert to join the appointment early.

Although this is strictly done by computer, I have found Dr. Flanagan to be the most compassionate knowledgeable and genuine veterinarian I’ve met in my life. My dogs are very important to me, and he cares for them as if he was caring for his own which makes all the difference in the world. He’s very knowledgeable and explains all treatment options highlighting all the pros and cons. I have used this app on numerous occasions and have decided to add all of my dogs and I will only seek hands-on veterinary assistance as directed by Dr. Flanagan or any other this app Doctor. I want to thank Vester for all the help that they have provided for me over the last several months. Unfortunately, I lost three of my girls. Two of them to cancer and one just a old age. A special thank you to Dr. Flanagan.

The service is excellent, especially if you get the this app unlimited subscription, as it may be cheaper than picking a vet individually. Our vet was really nice and thorough, and you get their clinic notes right after, and access to messaging with the vet for a few days after. Prescriptions can be sent to a mail order pharmacy. Compared to our in person clinic exam fees, we paid about half. Adding in the medication, we paid about the same as an in person clinic fee alone. I will note that though the site says vets are 24/7, this is only theoretical- you might not have any vets actually with availability anytime. (I was able to get a same day night appointment no problem though). Vetster seems to function well.

So this morning,Saturday I noticed my sweet cat had a runny eye. I cleaned it and saw that it was swollen so I knew I needed to get it checked out. I looked up my emergency vet to get there number and saw Vetster for this app. Game changer! No wait, no stressed out cat driving to the vet and such a great price. Plus my vet called her meds into CVS so I was able to get her on the eye drops really quick! Thanks Dr Sanchez !

We had an emergency situation with our 8 year old golden retriever and an appt was easy to make, and nearly immediate! The exam was very thorough and detailed. The vet was able to call in medications to our pharmacy and even took the time to verify the store had what we needed for his wounds. Very happy we found this option as we weren’t able to get our pup into his vet that day!

I had a great experience for my first time. My 10yo husky had done something to his eye and had seemed to have developed an infection. For a reasonable price and really quick turnaround I was able to have him looked at and a prescription sent to my local CVS for pickup the weekend of new years where most things had closed early. Will definitely turn to Vetster in the future and recommend.

Dr. Banks was wonderful. She explained everything to me. She had me turn the camera so that she could look at Gordon every area that he was having problems with she explained the prescriptions that he was going to be put on and why he needed to be put on them and how they were gonna help him and even recommended doing allergy test so that we can get down to exactly everything that he’s allergic to and maybe change his food or whatever it is that we have to do.

As a dog owner of 2 dogs, emergency vet visits are not my favorite thing to do. But this app makes it so easy & hassle free & the network of doctors makes choosing the right one so simple! I’ve used them twice & decided to stick with them vs a traditional vet as my furbabies very rarely ever get sick (thank goodness!). Vetster is easy to use & the prices are unmatched. Please don’t ever change!

This is the absolute best thing to happen to pet care since the beginning of time. It is near impossible to get your pet into a clinic here where i live. I hate to see my dog struggle with illnesses and they make you wait up to 6 months to be seen. this app is a total game changer. I wish they had this for people too…… Thanks to Dr. Robert Macarthur is amazing. Helped my dog immediately via video and walked me through the examination that he needed to do. Called in the prescriptions and everything. ALL THIS WITHOUT paying a fortune to wait 6 weeks to get my poor dog seen by a local vet. This service I recommend to EVERYONE! Also, the price can not be beat.

Needed antibiotics in a pinch after our cat was bitten by another cat. All vets in our area were not accepting new patients and we tried this app knowing the problem, hoping they could assist with the medication. Got medication the same day and our kitty is feeling much better! Easy to use app, the doc that helped us was very kind and knowledgeable.

If there were more stars to give I would choose them! Our vet was punctual, professional and personable. She was able to diagnose our sweet lab’s issue and prescribe medication. The pharmacy needed more information when I arrived just before closing and the customer service team sprang into action just in time. It could not have gone better! A perfect 10 all around for us.

My this app appointment with Dr. Won Kim was wonderful. He really listened and agreed with what my dog handler had said and what I had subsequently read. All agreed with what the symptoms were indicating. Both my dog handler and my reading, said to go to my vet immediately if certain more severe symptoms should develop and what to watch out for. It was such a relief to have these things confirmed during our this app appointment. While it’s wonderful to have such a knowledgable friend and to know what sites online are reliable, there is nothing like having a real DVM’s opinion. I would not hesitate to use this resource again!

They were prompt to let me know the vet couldn't write me a prescription. Quickly was able to cancel the appointment and refunded immediately.

We setup an appointment through this app and were contacted shortly after to let us know the vet we scheduled was unavailable. this app refunded our vet fee and set us up with another vet free of charge for the inconvenience. We really appreciate it!

Dr Sancak was very helpful with understanding my concerns over my senior cat developing a rather recent set of worrisome issues. I was happy getting her knowledge and advice while I have to wait longer than I want to have my cat scheduled for a proper in person appointment.

By far the best vet visit without leaving my home. The doctor was able to diagnose my cat’s sinus infection and ear infection …..and Antibiotics being sent overnight to my home. All local vets didn’t have any appointments available for the next several weeks.

Downloaded Vetster and the process was seamless. I was able to book an appointment same day. The vet (Dr. Babaev) was informative, patient and kind. Prescibed meds for my pup that will hopefully resolve the issue. I would most definitely use this service again.

Our dog became ill out of town and she was helpful with right diagnosis and meds and what to watch for-kept up after appointment messaging to help and showed concern and wanted to know follow up after able to see local vet. Can’t thank her enough. The this app app was easy. Thanks.

This was the best experience! It was on time, quick and easy. After trying to have my dog seen for a urinary tract infection with her regular vet and we were told no appointment was available for a month. We decided to give this app a try. We had an appointment within 2 hours and there was no waiting! Prescription will arrive tomorrow!

I was very pleasantly surprised by just how much I liked Vetster. Our new rescue caught a case of kennel cough, and none of the ER vets were able to see him. He was clearly in need of some meds and very uncomfortable. The service I received was affordable, prompt, and personable. I would highly recommend Vetster to any pet owner comfortable using video chat services.

My dog is a tad difficult with strangers and other animals so it is nearly impossible to get her to the vet. I stumbled upon this virtual vet service and it was exactly what I was looking for! The Vet I spoke with was kind, knowledgeable, and was able to prescribe meds for my pup. The meds started working within the first day! I’ll definitely be using this service for future vet visits for my dog.

My local vet is booked for 2 months my Rottweiler has a UTI and an ear infection I did not want to pay for an emergency visit at a emergency vet clinic so I was told about this app and I am totally impressed! For small issues that don’t require a in person visit this is the way to go! Also did U know that Walmart Carries meds for animals I didn’t know that! My meds were called in to my local Walmart this was awesome THANK YOU this app

Vetster is wonderful! We rescued a kitten over Memorial weekend and no vet was open to treat him including emergency vets. We came home found Vetster and was seen that day with a prescription that we could have overnighted to us. It’s amazing. I will say that your countdown with the vet starts when YOU join not when your appointment starts. Appointments tend to start early so you may get a little less time with your vet but all in all it’s wonderful

So glad I found this app. My older dog hates going into any Vet office. He pulls hard on his leash and I was afraid he’d injure his leg leg after ACL surgery. For over a year we’ve had to pick him up and he’s 72 lbs of fighting Dalmatian. My daughter left to law school and I’m unable to pick him up alone. So when I saw this app online, I thought I would give it a try. Easy log in for appointments. My veterinarian at this app is Dr. Cruzen and he’s helped my dog’s senior days be the best possible. Dr. Cruzen prescribed the proper medications and he explained the benefits of each as well as potential side effects. My dog’s anxiety has decreased and any discomfort from his stenosis of the spine is under control. In fact, I don’t think it hurts, he just walks crookedly. Medications can be sent to your home or pharmacy. If you have a question or concern, you can reach out to a vet tech immediately. I cannot believe how well this app is run and how helpful everyone has been. They have a strong team of professionals. Another thing, my dog does not like anyone taking his temperature or being put on a large metal platform to be weighed. In -office veterinary visits are required to do these regardless of the reason for visit. My dog, Harvard, would become extremely anxious and fearful. I didn’t want to do this to him anymore. I highly recommend this app.
