Constantly transferred

I have tried this service a few times now. One time it took me 5 hours to speak to someone. I get assigned to a doctor and wait in line until I’m the next patient to be seen (mind you many times throughout the waiting process it appears they add people in front of me because it will get longer multiple times throughout the wait) and then I’ll get a notification that says the doctor is reviewing my file and then I’ll immediately get another notification that I’m being transferred to another doctor where I have to wait in line again. I’m currently waiting for the third doctor tonight and it’s been over 4 hours. Ridiculous. Originally the wait had 3 people ahead of me and as of right now there are 5. This currently is a difficult time because we are all advised to not leave the house if we can avoid it. I felt relief when I found out about this service but I can’t express how frustrating it really is. AscensionOnlineCare also does not have any clear way to contact customer service. after looking around I finally found a phone number. However as I mentioned I’ve been waiting over 4 hours to speak with a doctor and don’t even want to think about how long it would take to reach someone in customer service.

Line was too long

Just after COVID-19 lockdown on a Friday, March 13th I returned from traveling via airline. Eleven days later I started to run a low grade fever with coughing and decided it was bronchitis again. Called Urgent care on Friday, March 27th who told me not to come in and was referred to Ascension so I downloaded this online service to get antibiotics for chronic bronchitis. There was 28 ahead of me and I got dumped with message “Physician not available” then logged back on and 41 ahead of me. Tried again on Saturday and could never get a physician as the lines were too long. I understand there were probably not enough available because of COVID-19 and lines were too long as a result. I could not get my primary doctor either. Many emergency rooms were locked down too so I tried to treat myself but without antibiotics I would not be successful. On Sunday after low pulse oxygen, my wife called an ambulance. At the hospital they begin antibiotic treatment as I now had pneumonia but was isolated with COVID-19 precautions until I tested negative. I spent 5 days in the hospital. If only I could have talked to a doctor and gotten oral antibiotics. So I feel that the fact I could never connect with an online physician did not serve me well.

Great Idea/ Garbage App

I made an appointment, had to fill out intake info only for the appointment to be cancelled at the time it was scheduled for. If you’re going to offer a service like this your app better be top notch. I could have taken my daughter to an actual urgent care and been back home. You need to find a way to hold doctors accountable to the appointment they accept. I then signed in to wait for the next available doctor for urgent care. It started at 11 patients before us, dropped to 10, then went back to 11. What?? We waited an hour and a half and still weren’t seen. I cancelled that appointment and signed back in for the next available doctor and my daughter was finally seen. This was way more of a headache and waste of time than actually going in and waiting. If we weren’t practicing social distancing I wouldn’t have wasted my time or money. We don’t even have an option to give our intake info from the very beginning or to even save it! I had to fill in the info each time we tried a new doctor. Apps are supposed to make everything easier and more convenient. This one does the exact opposite.

Great idea, poor execution

I hate to leave bad reviews, but my experience with AscensionOnlineCare warrants it. Everything every bad review mentions happened to me, and honestly I didn't think it would. Shame on me for being naive

Set up is very easy and simple, you can even upload pictures. I picked a doctor whose speciality was in line with my problem, but that's where the fun stops. I got to the first doctor and it never connected claiming technical issues on my end. I have great WiFi and mic/camera permissions were already allowed. After spinning for 10 minutes I disconnected. Thought it was a glitch and tried again. I was anywhere between 8 and 12th in line with a different doctor (didn't make sense how I kept getting pushed back), waited over three hours and never saw anyone. Considering it was after 2 AM I made an appointment next day.

I got every confirmation you can think of, checked in and was good to go. As the pre-appointment video was playing I plugged in my headphones and AscensionOnlineCare froze. I closed it and when reopening my appointment was gone. I clicked the text link - broken. I clicked the email link - opened my appointment in app and had the appointment but I couldn't start it. Tried again and then got the "your appointment has been completed thanks" prompt. No idea what happened or why.

I was excited about this simply because I'm uninsured, but I cannot in good faith recommend it. Hopefully this saves someone else these hardships.

Skeptical at First, But I loved this!!!

I threw my back out again... I know I need steroids to help recover and was hoping to gut it out over the weekend to see my doctor. Then we spent all night with my 6 month old. Lifting and rocking. I’m in pain and want to get medicine quick, but I also have two kids under 3 and I had no idea how I’d take them with me to a doctor. I tried the online app. Baby on my lap. Talked “face to face” with a doctor. It was very casual but quick and straight to the point. He understood my issue and got me the right prescription.

I downloaded an app, created an account, and finished with a prescription being sent to my local CVS - all in less than 15 minutes!

Wow

It was 1:30 am and I could not take being sick any longer. I also refused to go to an ER and all the urgent care facilities were closed. I had a sinus infection, ear ache, fever, and overall miserable. I signed up and was talking with a Dr. Seitz within 5 minutes and finished within 15 minutes. Prescriptions were at the pharmacy and ready by the end of the call. He was thorough, polite, friendly, and able to provide effective care without me having to drive to an urgent care or ER. Highly recommended and perfect way to take care of my problem.

Dr. Barclay and Micah

Today’s virtual visit with Dr. Barclay was spectacular. His office did a wonderful job setting up and preparing us with the downloading and signup of the Ascension app. Calling us to make sure we were in the waiting room prior to the actual appointment time and bringing us into room so to speak with Dr. Barclay.

Our visit with Dr. Barclay was fantastic with the assessment of our son’s increased dosage of his medication, assessed and resolved.

The only difficulty was that the device we were using for the appointment was not connected to WiFi.

AscensionOnlineCare didn’t ask that this transpire before the appointment and hence it wasn’t quite as seamless as it should have been. If it would have worked marvelously if that was clarified prior to the appointment.

Poison ivy didn’t cost us a $150 visit!

My son’s poison ivy rash was getting out of control, and we are out of town for a baseball tournament. This was what I tried instead of just going to a random urgent care. It was an easy, saved us time and saved us money. Win-win-win.
The doctor was professional, quick, and very helpful. It did take close to 35 min in the “waiting room”, but considering how much money and time we saved I am thrilled with this experience.

Dr hooks

Dr Hooks is so knowledgable and friendly! Makes his patients feel completely at ease and helps us understand what is going on and specifically showed me my tests and explained it in ways i could understand. He was even running a few minutes late from a procedure and he made sure i was notified of this so that i wouldnt be concerned. Then he took as much time as needed with me ! Highly recommend him and his practice

Fantastic experience!!

I was a little concerned that my UTI symptoms would warrant a urine sample and wouldn’t be able to be treated via online services. Since my symptoms were fairly straight forward and my medical history didn’t give the online physician reason to think otherwise, the phone call took 3-4 minutes and a prescription was called in! WOW!! Super simple to register and the entire process was fantastic. I’m VERY impressed! 2 thumbs way up!

Allison stallbohm I’ve been seeing for a very long time now sheNot judge mental very understanding listens to all your concerns and takes her time during all your appointments !! I would have all my family see her if I could ! I was very nervous to switch from another doctor to her but I’m very pleased. People are going to die because they can’t get seem

Got to the section where you select the “next available medical professional. I waited in queue to see a doctor for over two hours. 10 patients ahead of you. 9. Then 12? Then finally 1 ahead of you. THEN it says Dr _____ is “no longer available” and INSTEAD of doing anything logical like putting me in a new line, it kicks me out of line and asks me to start over.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The doctor took a break after two hours of seeing people so now I have to start again? How does that make sense? People are relying on this tool to get tested for COVID-19 and this is terrible.

Visit online with Dr Snell

When I initially called into the office Alenna was very helpful getting me set up for online visit. Appointment online started a little late but once online with Dr Snell everything went fine. She is our Dr for many years and being able to talk to her about my issue was a Godsend. She is very dedicated and special to our whole family. Super convenient, greatly enjoyed the non interruption of the day! Especially when trying to self isolate!! Since already established with my physician, it would seem easier on his day, as well! The future of medical care for the annoying stuff

I’m a business man and had a big meeting when strep hit me and it was too late to go to an urgent care. I will never worry about urgent care hours again thanks to Ascension and Dr Davis. Wish I would of found this sooner. This isn’t for broken arms and serious sickness. This is THE WAY to go for all things flu-like and annoying aches and pains and congestion. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

Thanksgiving Nightmare

My daughterWoke up with a fever and extreme nasal pressure. Her doctors office wouldn’t be open until Monday, so I would of been forced to go to the ER or urgent care. AscensionOnlineCare was easy, the doctor was there quickly to help. The whole call took like ten minutes and they sent some antibiotics over right away! Today I am thankful for AscensionOnlineCare! Wonderful Experience!

I have never done this before and was a bit apprehensive but Dr. Smith was absolutely awesome! She answered all my questions and was very mindful of my concerns and prescribed a medication for me. It would not have been good for me to use my regular DR due to having some serious health issues and the Coronavirus. This was most helpful. Thank you for offering this service.

Amazing!

This service was very easy to use and took less than 10 minutes from the comfort of my own home. Getting sick over the holidays is never fun however with the ability to FaceTime a provider it was far less painful and expensive than it would have been otherwise. Mary was thorough and got straight to the point.

Unable to message my own doctor.

AscensionOnlineCare is awful to use. The conference failed as soon as the doctor tried to connect. The doctor ended up calling me back.
Once the appointment was over I couldn’t even message my doctor with additional questions. AscensionOnlineCare says that you can only message doctors you’ve seen. But instead it just constantly says no contacts. So now I’ll have to call and find out how to get the prescriptions the doctor prescribes.
Not a good app. Use something else.

Super helpful and efficient late at night

Having a severe panic attack and was able to download AscensionOnlineCare and talk to a physician in less than 10 minutes. It was instant relief to know I could talk to someone in the middle of the night!

Upper respiratory infection

Wow, so much easier. As a widower and father of three, This was much easier than taking time from work and sitting in an office, paying $130 to fill out some paperwork before I even get started. Now I will drive about 2 miles from my home get my prescription and follow through with the doctors instructions. Thank you Ascension!

Never will use again!

I thought I would give this service a try. The Dr. I “saw” was not the nicest to start with, then prescribed not 1 but 2 antibiotics that my pharmacy didn’t have! The 2nd antibiotic would cost me $115 & I would have to travel across town to pick it up. I spent over 5 hours on the phone & got nothing out of the experience. I ended up seeing my regular dr anyways!!

Can’t even sign up - EPIC FAIL

Our doctor is AMG, I tried to use AscensionOnlineCare , but the sign up process is impossible to complete. To sign up it is required to enter your state, but you cannot; it presents as a spin wheel, but there are no values, you cannot type in the space, and I even tried pasting, but that doesn’t work either. EPIC FAIL!

Was prescribed (by two different doctors on two visits) medication that was dangerous to use with medications I listed in the pre interview form. I had a bad reaction to the interaction of meds and passed out. Do not trust these doctors. They obviously cant make it in the real world of physicians so they are doing this program where they are unaccountable.

Doctor was ready to get off the phone after MAYBE two minutes. I don’t like writing bad Reviews, I’m just so disappointed. I don’t want anyone to waste their money like I did. I’m sick and to be treated like that was absolutely horrible. I asked multiple questions, and for a note and with all that it lasted 5 minutes. I was super rushed. One on my main concerns was my fever of 104, one part it says that. Then it says I had no fever. Everything was wrong, it was written on the summary that I said I didn’t have symptoms I did. I also wasn’t asked because he was just trying to get off the phone as quickly as possible. I was just so rushed and constantly interrupted. I’ve had another appointment in the past and he was wonderful. A complete waste of $60. I will not use this ever again. This was absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had and I’m a nursing student. People go into health care to help others. I felt like I was just a bother to him. He just wanted to get off the phone as quick as possible. He tried to say bye to me literally after two minutes, cut me off when I was Describing my symptoms. Do NOT set an appointment with Mohammed imran. If you see Charles sineri available, he was wonderful. That was the only reason I decided to use this again, but after that. I will no longer be using this.

This set up sucks. 3rd rate doctors at best. After 4 hours I finally was able to speak to a lady masquerading as a doctor. She gave me a generic "its a covid side effect" and prescribed over the counter medicine. All I needed was an antibiotic, as I told her. Now I coughing up blood because she did not care to do anything but collect $60. Her demeanor should have tipped me off immediately but I was desperate for help and stuck it out. These doctors are probably online doctors for a reason and should be avoided.
