Trying to use ETA App to apply Visa for subclass 601 on iPhone14/Oppo/Huawei. It won't scan passport (gets stuck in green scanning mode, despite no glare on passport) and will not read passport with NFC functionality. Completely stuck. Have tried over 20 times with no success.
We are Canadian seniors going on a Holland America Cruise to New Zealand and Australia and on to Vancouver B.C. We are at this time stuck on step 5 of the Australian ETA . What do we do now? We will be on this journey in a few short weeks!!!

My husband and I are going to Australia on Jan. 8. I got my visa quickly. My husband filled in the data and all was accepted. Then when it gets to last page a note comes up “location error. Unable to get the current location. Please retry.” How do I prove we are in US? Checked my settings and you have permission to access my phone. Please advise.
The Australian ETA App is unable to get my location. Keep getting "Location Error" at stage 6 of 6. Necessary location permission is enabled for this app on my Android phone. Cannot proceed to payment!
On android was able to get to the last step of the application to determine my location but the app is completely unable to do so. Other apps can find my exact location and the AustralianETA app has permission.

Not scanning my passport, tried different locations at home for 30 mins.
I can't seem to capture an image of my face (using my iPhone) that the Australian ETA App will accept. I keep getting an error message: "Face Image Quality Failed"
I have completed all 6 steps but when I confirm on step 6 I get a "Location Error". I have tried everything to get the app to be able to locate me. Other apps have no problem confirming my location either "approximate" or "precise". I don't know what to do. My android phone clearly show that the Australian ETA app has location permissions.
I'm trying to use the ETA app. I've gotten through the picture and the passport scan. But when I get to the email verification, I put in the email address (same one here) and wait and never get a confirmation code. Help. I leave for Australia next week. Best, Gregory R. Covert
I tried 20 times in 20 different areas of my house to take my photo and it still won’t accept it. I watched the video and followed the instructions exactly. My photo met all the criteria. Why is it not working? I do not want to pay $190 and spend time applying for the other tourist visa.

The app will not accept the scanned passport. I have tried over 20 times and also deleting the app and reloaded it. I am traveling October and need to compete this process. When scanning the passport, the box turns green, but does not snap the photo and will not continue to the next step.

I am able to get into the app. I have an iphone 12 max pro. Never have trouble scanning. The app just does not connect once I am scanning my passport. Please help I travel to Australia on Sept. 27, 2023 Lillian H Nicolette

Horrible app. Won't take a face photo that it accepts despite almost 100 tries in all types of bright lighting with plain background, etc. Ridiculous. No way around this.
I've tried from two angles, first my Android, then my PC. On the Android, I'd get almost all the way through and then be asked to enter an ID number that would be sent to my e-mail address. When I changed screens on the Android to find my e-mail box for the ID number, I couldn't get back to the application I'd just left. It was as if the app backed me out when I changed screens. Later, trying again, I couldn't get the scan of my passport to work, though I do have NFC and had managed the scan the first time around. This later time, I must have pushed my phone back and forth on the passport for 10 minutes, with no scan success. From my PC, I got all the way to the credit card payment, entered my card number and got Please Wait, for 30 minutes, TWICE. This is ridiculous.
The camera part of the app does not work
Hi there. I am planning to apply for a visitor visa to Australia and tried downloading the AustralianETA app via Play Store in my Huawei handphone. However I received a message stating 'This app won't work for your device'. Kindly advise what options I have to download this app. Thank you.
