Story Painting - Coloring Book Reviews

This is by far my favorite of the plethora of coloring apps i’ve tried!! However, there seems to a bug where several of the coloring pages will not load. No matter how many times I try to close and reopen the coloring page or StoryPainting itself, the problem will not relapse. I even attempted to shut down and restart my phone. I’ve seen some other reviews about this issue recently, but I want to stress the importance of the glitch for me as several really amazing pictures I would love to color are the ones that will not load. I pay for the VIP membership in order to have full access to all the pictures, and due to this specific bug, I feel like my money is being wasting as I do NOT have access so many of the pictures I am paying weekly for. I really do enjoy the user friendly format, and wide variety of coloring options available on StoryPainting. As I stated, this is my favorite coloring app (hence why I’ve decided to actually pay for it) but the glitch is making me reconsider my membership as i’m getting through many of the pictures I want to color and am not able to color the others i’ve been excited about. I’m sure you have been working on this issue, but I thought input from an appreciative and loyal user would be valuable!!

I only had to give StoryPainting of four stars because well it’s awesome and everything but there’s too many ads like every time you finish piece of artwork you have to watch an ad but other than that I recommend this game because it has all sorts of different categories different things you can look for almost color by number things I’ve used aren’t any good this one is so good and it has different levels but it’s like you pick whatever you want and there’s like from one of my favorite movies suicide squad and birds of prey I has Harley Quinn stuff which I’ve never found before it has girl that has romance it has holidays it has it has everything you want and need and the coloring in the artwork it’s just Beautiful and it’s perfect except for all of the ads so if they could get that change that be awesome and then StoryPainting would be perfect

Okay, so I downloaded StoryPainting. I will give you some constructive feedback and I’d love for you to fix these issues with your app.

First off, you really must make the canvas size bigger. If there is a colour in the corner, there’s absolutely no way of reaching it.

Second, I’ll describe what this feels like to paint in your app. Microsoft Paint. It feels like trying to take an image and open it in Paint and trying to use the paint bucket tool to fill in. StoryPainting doesn’t give solid reach to the lines, leaving pixels uncoloured and unattractive, but also making it so you have to try to paint over it again.

The images are good. Some I haven’t seen in other colouring apps. You don’t really need to have a preview of what they’re going to look like after painting. Kind of spoils the fun.

Another technical problem I find is when you move the canvas, it literally slides so far over. It’s like sliding a piece of ice on a tile floor. I try to stop moving the canvas but it has a mind of its own. Another thing is that the colour palette doesn’t need to be so big. Why are the colours at the bottom so large? Uses valuable canvas space.

I’m uninstalling for now. I’ll check back in a few months to see if you’ve improved StoryPainting . For now I give it 2 stars for the picture selection.

Hey people! I’m pretty sure a lot of the art they used for this is stolen. I can’t pinpoint who the artists are but a lot of it looks familiar to me. I’m not sure 100%, but be weary. Especially since I saw art from the artist Ikimaru( I think that’s how you spell it, they’re popular on insta and post a lot of voltron art.) on the ad that recommended this. Although I couldn’t find it. And the way the lineart is done makes it really look like it was just traced over. I doubt they got the permission to do so either. If they did, they should at least give credit.
Like I said, not 1000% sure, don’t wanna ruin this apps reputation if I’m wrong, but be weary and if you see something familiar that you like, reverse image search it, find the artist, and support them^^

ok so i downloaded this bc every other color by number game i got was a scam and for all the good pictures you had to pay for premium. But with this one, yes it still does have a premium option but there’s tons of cool free paintings, AND so many free ways to earn diamonds which unlock the premium pics for free anyway. I’m literally addicted to this game i love it so much, please don’t change it. if anything, add more ways to earn diamonds but i think it’s rlly good right now so thank you

Love StoryPainting really great pictures to color, but I do have to say watching ads before and after you do a picture does get annoying after awhile, and I know that if you sub they are removed, but what I don’t get is why there is not a just remove the ads button, ppl can still sub to you all to get the vip stuff, but for us ppl not made of money or can’t afford the subscription it still would be nice to be able to pay a one time fee to remove all those ads, this is the only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 . Really do hope that you would add the option that I mentioned.

I’m stepping on your neck until you delete StoryPainting since you think it’s cute to steal from artists and not pay them to do original work for you.😍💅🏽 I see your lessons still not being learned. When that one artist called you out to take down their art, that doesn’t mean only take down their art and keep making money off artists whose art you still didn’t get permission to use for your app. I see one of them in particular whose art was actually used by another coloring app who actually respects artists by PAYING FOR HER WORK and using it WITH HER PERMISSION. So, y’all still have art that you didn’t pay for and didn’t ask for permission to use. To anyone who sees this, if you respect artists at all, install the Tap Color app.

First of all I love how you got you get diamonds or gems or whatever they’re called ICOM diamonds and then you can pay the diamond for whatever you want to color if it’s like a premium one you don’t actually have to go buy premium one thing I would like to ask/request maybe some more LGBT themes is that you do include them know no other color by number app I’ve done actually includes LGBT

The game is okay with good color transitions and shows the finished picture beforehand. I just have a few things I would like to add. First, i would like it if when I finish one color number, it would go on to the next instead of always going back to a previous unfinished one. Second, I would like less ads. I understand the reason for them, but having them constantly before and after a picture is way too much. Lastly, I would like a way to get more hints for free. Thank you for reading this review.

Overall an OK game, there’s a few problems tho.

-Bugs/glitches-
A lot of bugs and glitches that need to
be fixed, not all the time but sometimes. Like how when the screen will go all black on their app after a ad and when a picture won’t load. Basic bugs that could be fixed.

-Stolen art..-
Most of their art is original as far as I know…but
sometimes I will see art that’s not theirs or stolen ideas from other apps. Which I find unprofessional and unoriginal.

-Daily pics-
Last but not least, the daily pics. Which are “supposedly” new but aren’t. Most of the pictures are ones I’ve already colored..

I just wanted to let you and others know problems that you might have. But if you don’t get annoyed by things like that easily this is a ok app and recommended!

Honestly in my opinion StoryPainting isn’t even good it’s not awesome great or amazing it’s magical it’s just perfect (◠‿◠) if y’all don’t like this but don’t think it’s bad or horrible y’all still crazy (•~•) I honestly love it it makes so much since and it’s easy and you can’t legit make a masterpiece out of simply using number to feel in the thing in the picture anyways thanks for reading my review and remember beauty is on the inside~♡

Great game but you guys need to take out an update sometimes the pictures doesn’t load when you want to color it or when you get done with the picture it doesn’t load it stays loading so you have to restart StoryPainting like constantly please fixed cause I can’t get pass painting like four or 5 picture cause I have to keep restarting StoryPainting

StoryPainting makes everything look so real can’t stop playing this so much fun and there is so much to color they have so many options to choose from and different categories you will love StoryPainting trust me you will never want to stop playing!! Hope you love StoryPainting like me!! Just a little warning there is a lot of adds.

There’s way too many ads in this game & the length is also annoying… it would be better without the stupid ads plus a lot of games have problems due to because of ads

The only thing I would change is maybe making it so you can turn off being able to see the finished picture before you start coloring. I think it really ruins the experience. Maybe you could also possibly add some more fantasy creatures like mermaids and centaurs and fairies and stuff. I would love that. But other than that StoryPainting is great. Really easy to navigate and the pictures are fantastic!! Keep up the good work!

One of the few best coloring apps I’ve seen, BUT, the little box in the bottom right corner of the paintings is a spoiler. It’s not fun coloring a painting when the little boxes give away what its going to look like especially when you haven’t colored it yet. Hope that makes sense but, the small boxes SHOULD be removed especially if you want people to keep using StoryPainting or just enjoy StoryPainting more in general. Please remove them they spoil the fun!!

This game is awesome it really is but recently certain paintings won't load so I closed StoryPainting and opened it back up and they still wouldn't work I thought maybe it's because I favorited them so I scrolled to find the painting and tapped there and it still didn't work I'm not sure what the problem is because I have great internet I hope it gets fixed I don't want to have to delete StoryPainting

This is a really fun app. It helps me release some stress from my day and there’s soo many pictures to choose from. One of the best painting app to use. The only problem I’ve had is that not all the pictures load. I saw the Soldier Skeleton under the “OTHER” tab that looked cool but I waited 2 hours and it never loaded. It might just be me but other then that, it’s a great app. Definitely recommend it.

I have 9 color apps and this is one of my favorites. The special effects in the special pictures are amazing! But I do have one complaint. SO many of the pictures are of people. Why would I want to color pictures of people I don’t know? What am I supposed to do with them? Mandalas, dreamcatchers, even flowers are good for using as wallpaper or even printing. But random people, I’m just not interested in doing those.

Now I know some people might need help but I can count all the way to 100. I definitely know what comes after 1 or 2, like I said. All the way to 100. It’s like getting a jigsaw puzzle and when you pick up a piece, the area is highlighted. I think they want to see how fast they can get you to complete the picture so they can get another ad in.
There are a couple that let you turn the hints off. I love them. Hopefully they will add that here.

For so reason, it won’t let me save the pictures I colored. And every time I finish a picture, StoryPainting it’s self crashes. I’ve tried downloading StoryPainting over and over and it’s still doing the same thing. Then I thought maybe it was because of my storage. So I deleted all my pictures and different apps to make more room. Still won’t work. Then I tried turning my phone off and on. Still won’t work.

There are way too many VIP images with only a few free ones. Pricing for your app is too high for people on very limited incomes. Guess this is a app I am going to delete. I like the style of images but if you can’t color them without paying a arm an leg for StoryPainting , it is useless!!!!! Sorry you have to be so greedy in your charges and can’t be more generous with the number of free images you give people to color.

First off I’d like to say Thank you for responding to me. My internet is super fast but those few images still won’t load🤷🏻‍♀️also, why did you have to go and make things VIP and such? Now some of the best pictures cost money. I can’t afford to spend money on games. Sadly may have to unsubscribe

I would have given you 5 stars if there were more pictures of African American people I’m African American it’s so hard to find pretty pictures of us to color you have some but not that many that’s the only thing I would change

I tried StoryPainting and all the eyes, hair, ears, etc. were coming out weird looking!

The lines are way off basis on the pictures! On one page I colored, which was two friends making the “heart” symbols, the eyes made them both look like demons!!!

It is my opinion that these pages are copied and then traced over...badly! This is just my opinion but, what else could account for such shoddy pages?

Wish you didn’t have so many dark pictures especially where I see what looks like satanic pentagrams..I personally find the disturbing and not relaxing at all. I don’t enjoy coloring them. Please try to do more nature animal etc picture... thank you!

It has good drawings but now I can’t color my favorites for free like I used to (the vips), so I’m disappointed in this coloring by number and I don’t recommend it to anyone who isn’t going to pay for stupid art since it’s just ridiculous to do so just so they can have money, and it’s not even their art so I won’t pay and I hate StoryPainting.

I LOVE the diversity of StoryPainting. Love it! But I do think the colors could be better. Also it’s hard to reach the color in the corners on occasion. But this is definitely my go to app to relax when having a stressful day.

After my monthly subscription purchase was complete, StoryPainting closed and would not reopen. I deleted it, downloaded it again, restored my purchase, colored a couple pictures then... Wouldn't open AGAIN! Contacted creator (couldn't find an actual support contact) I have not heard one peep back from them and now I hate their guts

Absolutely love this! Would definitely subscribe if there was a monthly or yearly option. Weekly is just too much.

I am subscribed but STILL have have banner ads at the bottom AND I’m forced to watch an ad to open any picture to color!!

I finally wised up and unsubscribed !! Why pay and still have ?!ads What a rip-off!!
