Template Planner for Instagram Reviews

I’ve been using A Color Story exclusively for photo editing for a long while and I’ve been so excited for the Template App to come out to have the complete package for IG creation. Just like ACS - the Template App is incredibly easy and intuitive to use and has so many options for customizing to your style. Great work ladies! Love it!

It’s great for a brand new app but I’d suggest a few other edits like being able to change te order of your stories rather than having to delete if you want to put something in a different spot. I’d also love to see their other apps connected - like after I edit a photo or photos in ACS, I’d love to have the option to save and open in template automatically, that way I’m working with a smaller set of photos and don’t have to scroll back through all my photos to find what I want. I’m sure these things are in the pipeline though! Can’t wait to see how these apps evolve!

For its purpose, making layouts, is really good! But not everything is explained to you right away. There is no “help” or “tutorial” and if there was or is, I cannot find it. To get to different menus you have to single or double click it, it’s trial and error, however this might prompt something completely different then what you wanted. Changing the text font and color can be some what confusing. Like I swear there was a way to put a highlight behind the text but I might be dreaming. Layout categories are somewhat hard to understand and navigate. I wish there was a way to chose layouts based on how many photos you chose, like if you choose 4 photos, it will only show you layouts that can support 4 photos.

I’m super excited about TemplatePlanner! As a heavy IG user, Template app makes it very easy for me to create beautiful stories and feed posts on the go, with the ability to easily customize them to fit my aesthetic. TemplatePlanner is super great for creatives and/or beginners who are looking to up-level their IG and design game. There’s TONS of cool templates to choose from! And unlike other similar apps I've experienced, the templates are thoughtfully-designed, non-clunky and perfect for the modern day user!

I’ve only been using TemplatePlanner for maybe ten minutes but it seems to be full of diverse designs and fairly intuitive user experience! I love that it has IGS, grid, and slider design options. I am always making social media content for brands and having all of those options in one place is incredible!
I also like that they have a yearly and monthly subscription. I hate paying monthly for apps so having a yearly option is great. They also seem to give you a bit more bang for your buck than the other apps I’ve been using. Only time will tell, but at first glance, TemplatePlanner seems like a winner.

I have been using TemplatePlanner for a long time, and I love love it. After the last update where they added animation, I can’t open TemplatePlanner without whatever music I’m listening to turning off and it just makes me so sad. I’ll be vibing looking at pictures and bam, music off. I am still giving 5 stars cause I love it and everyone should download it, but please fix this in the next update!

I didn’t even flinch before getting the yearly subscription because I know I’ll have no regrets in being able to create beautiful content. I’m not an influencer or a business owner or anyone with a “need” for this besides to share my obsession with my pup. You’ll love TemplatePlanner, along with the others: A Color Story, A Design Kit & Filmm. I’m a huge fan and loved them since back when A Beautiful Mess was TemplatePlanner :) thanks for another, home run!

It’s great because it’s not Canva and it’s made by the creative forces behind Filmm and a Color Story but...you can’t bring in your branded colors to most of the features which makes me cry because I love TemplatePlanner so much. And when you are able to use your brand colors it’s not a great user experience. Def worth the buy if you’re not using for your brand, but think twice if it’s for your business. If this isn’t a deal breaker for you then you’re aces!

I really hope the developer makes an update to allow for hex codes and branding elements.

I have fallen in love with every app Elsie and Emma have launched and Template app is no different! There are so many beautiful options to creatively customize my photos. I am most excited for the gallery option and being able to post multiple photos on my feed and to have that nice transition from one photo to the next is great! It’s an easy to use app and very straightforward. 5 millions stars! 🥰

I’m sending this review because I am being scammed. TemplatePlanner is amazing but I have been paying for the plus for over a year now. It seems like it decides to let me use all the features that plus comes with whenever it feel like it. Sometimes when I go to use a premium feature it blocks me and ask me to upgrade to something I’m already subscribed to. This is very frustrating because pay for TemplatePlanner to streamline some of my graphic design work. If someone could reach out to me to resolve this I would really appreciate it. Other than that TemplatePlanner is great just buggy

I work so hard and have so much content saved in my gallery. If it’s more than a couple pages even sometimes just for a couple too I go to view or try to save it to my device and it just closes TemplatePlanner entirely so I can’t do anything with the content I spent time creating. Beautiful templates but needs to be improved as it is hit or miss I’ve had to redownload TemplatePlanner several times but then I loose work. My phone storage is not the issue either.

I’ve been using TemplatePlanner on the free version, but finally had to upgrade to basically use any of the not so boring templates. Now I can’t seem to get anything to work right. Especially the animated styles. App keeps acting so weird & locking up, lags when I try adding a pic. Also, not enough instructions (which these apps really shouldn’t need instructions by this point… pretty self explanatory.. EXCEPT when you have an app such as this one that doesn’t want to function the way it really SHOULD!) Huge disappointment.

Hello all, I decided to try the 3 days free, and forgot to cancel it before it charged me for a year’s worth, which is on me, but then I immediately cancelled my subscription so I never forget about it again. But even so, this means that the $30 I paid should allow me to access the templates until 2023, but every time I go on TemplatePlanner and click on a template, it tells me to sign up again. Shouldn’t I receive access for a year since I paid? Even if I cancelled my subscription? Pretty annoying, complete waste of money.

If you want cool ways to promote your work on Instagram, this is definitely TemplatePlanner for you! It makes everything on my feed 10x better when I deck out my story with amazing templates they have! I highly recommend, even if it’s just the basic templates they have.

I use TemplatePlanner almost every day, and it’s supposed to remember past templates so they can be re-used. For $5 bucks a month, I would expect TemplatePlanner not to freeze, I feel like I have to start all over again all the time. I’m about to cancel the pro version of this and delete it all together for constantly crashing and not having more options to play around with the actual templates. I can’t believe they charge for this.

TemplatePlanner has replaced two apps I was using. I love editing my pictures in color story and then dropping them into template. I do wish there were a few more free options or a way to do the + options across all the available apps. I wish there was also an option to adjust the size of the frame. I don’t like that the place holders are in a different language. Otherwise, a good app for its purpose.

I’ve been a huge fan of the other apps this team has put out and I am so impressed with template! I NEVER opt for subscription apps, but the value of this one was so worth it to me. I can’t believe how many options there are and how easy they are to edit and make your own. I will be using this daily for my personal and photography Instagram!

It’s amazing how easy it is! The vision is amazing and unique! I can’t wait to buy some of the sets they have. Really really happy this exist. Can’t wait to see how my Instagram turns out ! Such a game changer!!! Thank you everyone who worked on this. You can tell there is real thought to it.🥰🥰🥰

but actually - there’s a template for ANY style. classic, modern, romantic, simple, artsy. I love them all. my only problem is that the ‘grid’ template doesn’t actually fit the dimensions of the grid photos. it still crops part of the photo. i’m sure it will get fixed in an update, but for now i’m still having to make it fit into the square manually!!

Just downloaded it and made my first post using the gallery templates and it was so easy to use and really intuitively designed. There is a free pack to start out with that is beautiful and with each purchase you get so much more than with the competing apps for the same price. Really amazing. 10/10 🤩

Okay.
So I love the options within TemplatePlanner . The templates are great and it’s easy enough to use.
But when I’m putting together a larger project TemplatePlanner just crashes without saving ANYTHING causing me to start over completely. This is the 4th time today I’ve had it crash and honestly I’m so irritated I don’t want to continue.
Please fix this bug. It really affects the functionality of TemplatePlanner.
