Lift: Reels & Stories Maker Reviews

I paid for Lift but can’t access my plan. Lift continues to open asking me to sign up for a trial. The two times Lift prompted me for my password the loading icon started to spin but never quit. I have tried reloading, shutting off my iPad. My payment was accepted, I was charged for a full year, as requested, but now I can’t use Lift . I have contacted customer service. If I don’t hear back I’ll cancel through my credit card. Major pain, time waster so far. Fingers crossed. If this is fixed I’ll write another review.

I loved the 3D ads the developed Lift runs. I wanted to easily create IG Stories like theirs, as their app clearly suggests you can, so I subscribed.

I’m a busy person so the three-day trial went quickly. After spending a couple of hours digging through Lift ’s features, I couldn’t find anything that would remotely allow you to create graphics like the ones the developers use to promote their app.

I headed over to their IG account to see what their posts look like there. None of the posts there are like the ones in the ad. I thought I was looking at the wrong account. But I wasn’t.

I asked in one of their posts how to achieve the effects that they are advertising, and someone from the company gleefully replied that those are features that they are still testing! (I have the screenshots for anyone wants to see them.)

This is blatant false advertising. Apple should ban those ads until the feature ships or the ad clearly states that the features used to create the ad have not shipped.

Buyer beware. Unless you’re willing to invest in an ordinary graphics app until the developers ship the extraordinary features that they are advertising, do not buy Lift. I’d give it a 0 rating if I could.

Even once they do ship, I will not buy it. They’ve proven themselves unethical and unworthy of my business.

I love making my stories. But, could someone help me find out why it app stalls when I need to open it sometimes, like when I have important things to do? And why do I keep getting charged a weekly subscription cost to open Lift when I’m locked out? I need to know because I have a monthly subscription! I’m only using WiFi to do this, but does that need to make a difference?! Otherwise, fine, I’m enjoying myself when I’m working here.

I just created the videos I wanted after about 45min and after “exporting” the video is nowhere to be found. Additionally, I can’t get into my saved stories section at all. Lift closes whenever I select that option. I’ll try deleting and reloading since other reviews seem to feel that once you get past these glitches Lift can work really well.

It is a beautiful app but it’s missing some basic features like the center align horizontally and I’m assuming vertically. There is a weird glitch when I try and triple click to select all text in a text box, it acts like I am done editing text. When I try to move the curser within a text box, it closes out the edit as if I am done editing. Those are enough for me to not pay a weekly fee.

I love the idea of the animated graphics! I will be trying again once and if these options are fixed. 😉

Despite having a phone for most of my life this is my first time writing an App Store review, because this app is simply that great! I’ve only made a 3 days trial but I’ve already created loads of Instagram Stories! And it just took me seconds to figure out how to use every aspect of Lift from templates to color-pick and fonts. It’s simply a satisfying and I would recommend it to anyone!

Lift itself is a GREAT app and can definitely see myself using it all the time! But, the problem I have with Lift is that when I have created a story, and save it, I try to go back and re edit the same video with different text/image. After exporting that second one, some of the elements of that story are missing, so you have to the start the process all over instead of just being to quickly edit the previous story.

Yet another promising app missing too many features. No tutorial or walkthrough on how to use Lift . No undo button, no ability to remove overlays and things easily from templates. No ability to edit template items to change their size. Can only animate photos in one direction. Limits you to 5 photos even though there’s a reel and TikTok template.

I’m a graphic designer and if I can’t figure an app out in 5 minutes or less it’s useless to me and removed from my phone. Just learn After Effects.

This is a super nice app for all content creators and some people with small business. I use it to make ads and for promoting my shop. If you create your own content, then I recommend Lift. There are a lot of free features to get the job done, but there are even better features if you pay for the pro version.

I use Lift on a weekly basis to create amazing stories for my photography so they can be more engaging.
Also one of their newer features is the story reminder which is great because then I can ditch other apps and save some space on my phone.
Overall perfect app and highly recommend!

Love Lift! I wish it wasn’t so expensive though, in the end I don’t want to pay $4.99/week. I wish they gave you the option to do a cheaper yearly subscription or even better - a more expensive one-time purchase for lifetime. I’d be onboard for that!

Cliche time- I don’t typically leave reviews unless I REALLY hate or love something. Well, I love Lift. Super simple to use. Aesthetically easy on the eyes. The features and controls are fairly deep once you dig into them. The subscription is pricey but it’s worth it to me because how often I use Lift.

I truly enjoy designing and creating with Lift on the go and away from the studio. The designs are very versatile and allow for creativity to match the brand styling that you’re trying to achieve. I’m highly of impressed with how easy Lift is to use and the outcomes that you can produce.

They just added the ability to remove background from images and make content for other social platforms (not only Inst) which is super nice for making all the content in one app. ⭐️

This is one of my favorite apps, I love to write so this is really good.
It's great that u don't have to pay that much and can choose what template u want,
and it's also really good u can choose like all the little details most editing apps don't have🥳

Lift is great to create stories that include more than one photo for Instagram stories.
I also use it to make Before and Afters for small business use. Good variety of page styles, easy to customize, user friendly app

I use it for our small business stories & reels, even a few post. It’s quick & easy. Also, has all of the features I was looking for in an app. Highly recommend.

I would love to use this but not for $5/week with no option for monthly/6 month/1 year option/discount. There are just way too many other comparable options that are $40 a year. I can’t see how they justify that price plan when others are so much cheaper

I would spend hours removing background from images to take product photos. this app helps me use that time properly and even design some stories instantly. 🥳

It instantly makes all my content look so professional and I can make videos and posts very quickly. It’s perfect for someone who uses their phone for creating content!!

I like it, it's friendly overall and very useful, but a little too basic. It could improve, would be great to add more templates and stickers.

The first time I tried to do the first story, once I placed the images and videos in the boxes it showed me the preview as designed but when I exported it, it was showing the images completely off, smaller and to the sides. There is also no place to get help right away. Such as shame for an app that looks like has very great usability and design.

Every time I use Lift I can find new templates!!! I’m a content creator and Lift can save my time and money. Totally recommend

So far so good, It's very satisfying to use and fun to create. Simple to edit and save stories.

Finally all I need to create Instagram stories in one app. Music, filters, animation. Wow!!!!

I can’t upload anything to my social media platforms for my business. Your online email response team has not provided resolve and it’s been over a week now. Not worth the purchase

First day Into app and already glitchy, some modification parts won’t load properly.
