Well, I used to love working with SVB, now they’ve complicated 2-factor authentication by REQUIRING biometric ID on the phone, which I think is unreliable and I don’t use. There is no work-around. Am looking into other options as we’re just starting up a NewCo and if we’re going g to change banks, now is the time. This is really disappointing as so much about SVB is better than other banking options.
Why does the website look like it was made in the 90’s? Why is SVBGo so bad? Freezes like crazy, can’t automatically take a photo of the check against a black background, can’t read the amount, says image quality is low when it is not, can’t deposit check. How is the bank for Silicon Valley have the worst tech I’ve ever seen in banking?
Technology is garbage. Everything they do with go is broken. Computer site now will not allow you to save login data and requests you use mobile go app which I just downloaded only it doesn’t work stating that need to upgrade on when I went back to load there is no way to upgrade.
Without biometrics enabled, you can’t use SVBGo. And as of recently, without using SVBGo , you can’t do basic admin actions on the website. For a company that doesn’t even offer non-SMS 2FA, this is a terribly misguided stance to take. No other legitimate bank forces you to use facial recognition.
The mobile app does not remember Face ID selection or password. It makes you reenter your ultra complex un-rememberable password every time. There is no better way to frustrate your clients.
Terrible app, can’t perform a simple transaction on mobile device or browser app.
For about a week the login doesn’t work, with no errors or notices.

They know it’s bad and they don’t care, I’m not sure what’s happened over at SVB but this has become unacceptable. Unable to deposit standard check types, for example Government checks, poor.
There used to be a way form the login page to scan authentication code. This has not been working for a while.
Way easier and intuitive than the prior banking platform
Amazing app, very easy to navigate and find things around. Performance is great as well on top of security. Definitely highly recommended!
