First, the instructions (in bebirdEarCareSpecialist or in the hard copy that comes with the device) clearly were not edited correctly, so some things make no sense. Next, be sure to use bebirdEarCareSpecialist, not the “Bebird Pro” app which has much better reviews, but won’t work (not sure how that happens). When your device keeps dropping the wifi, turn off Bluetooth like many people recommends. It works great if you follow the instructions in the reviews.

As far as the “fit & finish” of the device, it is very well done. The pen feels sturdy and the charging holder that opens to yield tips inside is a great idea. I would give the device 5 stars but it seems like the company cheeped out on bebirdEarCareSpecialist as it is more of a beta version vs production. That being said, the device is worth getting and I hope enough people complaining about bebirdEarCareSpecialist will push the company to add some updates soon to fix stability and bugs.

While my device charged, I read some reviews and got scared and wondered if I shouldn’t waste my time and just return the device. I was able to get it to work in less than 3 mins. After switching your wifi to the bebird, you have to hit the button on the the device for it to turn on/off. I’m sure this is why so many people are having issues with connecting the device to their phone correctly.
It took less than an hour to charge and it says in bebirdEarCareSpecialist how long you can use it before needing another charge (75mins) so charging it overnight like some people had issues of it not working properly.
If I can suggest, use the black accessory after becoming accustomed to the device. I scratched my inner ear thinking I needed that to “grab” the goo.

Quick tip: turn your Bluetooth off, as it appears to interfere with your pick connection

I followed the instructions, got all the way to the point where I connected to my Wi-Fi, went back into bebirdEarCareSpecialist , hit start, it never found the camera and after about 10 seconds would flip back to the “Connect to Wi-Fi” screen in bebirdEarCareSpecialist . Since people were saying Bluetooth had issues, I turned my Bluetooth off. Tried again and it worked like a charm. So if you were having the same issues where it keeps flipping your back to the Wi-Fi connection instructions, try turning off your Bluetooth and repeat the connection to Wi-Fi step.

I have the M9 pro... here’s what I did to make it work.

First, the device charges on a computer... but it can’t be plugged in when you use it. So step one is... unplug!

Second, it won’t connect unless you take the cap off the “pen”/ stylus/“ear looker”.... can be in or out of base. Step two: uncap.

Third: For iPhone: go to settings/WiFi/networks other. The phone may take a minute or two to “discover” other networks. You will now see bebird... select it! Watch for the check mark saying you are connected.

Fourth, go to bebirdEarCareSpecialist on your phone. Hit the three lines at the top left: choose your device (hint: it’s on the back of the box it came in).

Last: hit start. Yes, there is a block saying connect to WiFi... it’s just to tell you to do step 3. It’s a direction for you... not an actual connection. Hitting the picture of the house “start” button will allow you to start “bebirding”!

The short version: unplug/uncap/connect/start

Easily connected my iPhone 11 Pro to bebird WiFi on first try and was able to use scope and app within minutes. Video is clear. App is simple and straightforward. No complaints.

I see some reviewers could not connect probe to phone. I am wondering if they are trying to connect as if it were a Bluetooth device, which this is not, instead of joining the bebird WiFi network that appears after bebird probe is powered on??

Also if battery is low probe will connect to phone momentarily but will shutoff which will terminate the WiFi connection. All you have to do is charge the probe or use while it is plugged in.

This is an extremely well made, high quality tool, especially for the price. It’s not only superb for finding and painlessly removing ear wax from yourself and your children, but it gives a clear view of the eardrum to assess whether a child has a middle ear infection. No school nurse should be without this.

In addition, it gives a high magnification view of any surface it’s held close to. In particular, it’s brilliant for examining teeth. It reveals cracks and tiny cavities even your dentist will miss.

I ordered the A2 model out of curiosity. I was shocked at the quality and utility of what I received.

Yes, it’s made in China. Yes, you have to puzzle over the instructions. No, a product of this quality and sophistication could not be manufactured in this country, and if it were, it would cost at least 100 times as much. I know this for a fact. I own a medical instrument company.

Order it and figure it out. It’s not beyond the wit of man, and it is well worth the trouble.

Charged the device out of the box overnight. Next day I unplugged the base but did not use the device. 2nd day decided to download bebirdEarCareSpecialist and begin use of the device. Device turned on for about 2 minutes and needed to recharge, never even got a chance to use it. I’m really not sure what the standby time is but def didn’t expect the battery to be dead within the first 24 hours with 0 usage. There are toothbrushes that are as smaller, do more, and have a better battery life. Was looking forward to using the device since it seemed like a novel idea, but will be returning after such a poor out the box experience. Hopefully bebird can take the time and money to either get a better battery or at least some quality control on their devices.

When it says connect to your wifi it means go to your setting and go like if you’re going to connect to your home wifi it should be there named bird something
I’m enjoying this soooo much and I can testify that when people say that cleaning your ears with q-tips is bad I never believed them but today just changed my mind and proved my wrong on that. I found this on tiktok and tried it and loved it I highly highly recommend it. Not sure if it helps my case but I’m a very picky person so take that how ever you want.

App installed and worked like a breeze. Great real-time images that guide you where to go - however, as the image seems mirrored, it’s counter intuitive to adjust the directions… I am sure if I invest a lot of time to train myself how to react in the opposite direction as I see, I can finally master the skill of ear wax removal. But wouldn’t it better if the developer can modify the image display so that you can operate in the same direction as you would see with your eyes?

Opened the box and placed the device to charge as asked. Once done, started to set up on the iOS phone and running into the same issue as others with WiFi set up. Do not get a WiFi listings to choose other than beebird-xxxx. The other item of concern comes as I unplugged from the USB port and the whole casing came off. Really wanted to use the product. Maybe this is how the Chinese are protesting Trump. Sending Americans garbage.

Got the C3 bebird to clean my ear. bebirdEarCareSpecialist can use some better english. But let me tell you, I can't be more thankful. The quality is good enough to see what you are doing, you're not making a hollywood film here lets be honest. Anyways, I always had to go to the doctor to clean my ear out and spend some buck to get it done. Well no more. Thank you for making this!

Works great. It very clear. The tool takes a little time getting used to since you’re looking at a picture and trying to move your hand in a different way. But bebirdEarCareSpecialist worked great. Love the part that you can record it and look at it again later. Or you can take pictures as you’re digging in your ear

First, it worked perfectly first time. Here are the steps I took after installing bebirdEarCareSpecialist.
1). Charge the otoscope. Takes an hour
2). Turn on the device. (Press end button. Blue light turns on)
3). Go to settings - WiFi and choose the beXXX network.
4). Start up bebirdEarCareSpecialist . If you start bebirdEarCareSpecialist before step 3, it tells you to first connect (Step 3)
5) tap the Start button and you will see the round camera image.
6). Tap the screen to see menu choices. Note that you can switch between left and right ear.

There are a few more bells n whistles. Just play with it.

Apparently you can’t have two WiFi networks active at the same time.

I have been able to successfully use bebirdEarCareSpecialist exactly one time! After that, all I get is black screens and disconnections. It will connect to my wi-fi, then nothing works, and then it disconnects itself 😡😡 I will be returning the product back to Touch of Modern, such a waste of money. Touch of Modern normally doesn’t sell crap, but they laid a goose egg on this product. I don’t know how many times I’ve deleted bebirdEarCareSpecialist and then re-installed it, as suggested to do. It still doesn’t work! Just going to delete it for good! Don’t waste your time even downloading this garbage!!

I was worried about setting this up from the other reviews. But I must have lucked out, mine connects through wifi just fine. Had to be sure to keep the connection and not use cellular data, since the phone says it won’t connect to the internet.
Very happy with the purchase

It worked great the first 2 days I had it. Was able to connect to the device’s wi-fi and video was smooth.

Since then I haven’t been able to get a good connection. It regularly doesn’t connect, or connects for 10 seconds or so at a time before bouncing me back out to the main screen. When it IS connected it stutters and freezes till you get about 1 frame per second which makes it impossible to use. I’ve tried everything.

Don’t waste your time or money with this one.

I found bebirdEarCareSpecialist worked very well, connecting to a new R1 Ear scope.

NOTE: 1) Turn on the Scope, 2) start the Apple Settings App, then click WiFi. Select the WiFi that is broadcast by the Scope: bebird-R1-x.
3) start the BeBird App.

bebirdEarCareSpecialist is not allowed to change your WiFi settings. bebirdEarCareSpecialist is not clear in trying to explain that.

The scope itself is difficult to navigate. It takes a bit of practice to figure out how to get the image you desire, because it is mirrored. But everything worked.

After turning off the Scope, your device automatically goes back to the default WiFi.

I was trying forever to connect through Bluetooth. I was supposed to connect through WiFi. Hahahaha I felt silly for getting so upset. But WiFi quickly connected and I dove into to the dark mysterious tunnels of my ears and scraped out the golden ear wax. Pretty fun experience!

App is odd in that it doesn’t clearly identify product choices during setup, but you can easily change later under menu options. I also thot this was Bluetooth but found I had to choose it as a WiFi connection separate from home WiFi. The wand and app work fine once started tho and display on iPad is great.

I’ve had this for over a year now. Decided to use it tonight. I accidentally put the tip on wrong so it was loose and the tip got lodged in my eardrum. It hurt sooooo bad trying to pry it out with tweezers. I described it as an UNBEARABLE sharp shooting pain all up in my eardrum. It’s been a little over an hour since removal but now the inside of my ear just feels bruised to death. What an UNSAFE product if improper placement occurs.

I used to love this when I first got it, but now I never wanna touch it again. No longer recommend this.

If I would have known the video quality was so poor I would have went with a different otoscope brand! Please fix the video quality!! I paid a lot for my bebird otoscope for the video quality to be so poor?

The camera signal disconnects on the video if Bluetooth is on. Turn off Bluetooth and connect to the device on WiFi and it works perfectly. Amazing little piece of technology. The whole family now has clean ears!

Well like the other reviews that I’m seeing I can’t get this thing to even come up on my Wi-Fi. Deleted and re-downloaded five times with absolutely no change or results. How horrible to send a product out that doesn’t properly work and you have all of these negative reviews about Wi-Fi. Now I’ll have to go through the incredible ordeal of trying to return this thing or get my money back.

Like the previous reviewer said - turn off Bluetooth first. Then connect via wi-fi. If you turn it off it between cleaning ears, you may have to reconnect to Wi-Fi again. Love this!

Idk what the complaints are about? Connected through wifi and I had no problems... it took longer to review than to connect and use.

I follow the instructions to connect- get it connected through wireless but in bebirdEarCareSpecialist nothing happens- it just tells me to connect to the wireless via settings on my phone. No ability in bebirdEarCareSpecialist to ask questions, only to scroll through previously asked and answered questions which don’t help in this case.

I had a complete earwax blockage and bebirdEarCareSpecialist and then bebird C3 pick helped me clear a passage through the wax and I could hear clearly again! Highly recommended!

Can’t stay connect to WiFi to even see the camera.
Same issues as so many other users.
Fix this!! Device is going to be returned.

I have connected my phone to countless devices but with bebirdEarCareSpecialist this was seamless. Amazing product and app
