Improvement needed

Was able to place an order on Feb-15 for delivery. Estimated pickup time was 45-55 minutes. Two hours later my order is still in prep. Called the store, looped on hold for 30 minutes and then I close and re-open MarcosPizza (which I had done many times before - still in prep) and now a banner appears saying they’re not taking any more orders for the day. So now not only am I without food, they also used my loyalty coupon and charged my card. Because the stores been closed for a few days now - can’t get ahold of anyone. SUGGESTION 1: allow customers to cancel their own orders when they’ve been in prep for over 2 hours. Tried to leave feedback about this thru MarcosPizza - it asks for a survey number on a receipt - SUGGESTION 2: put survey codes on app receipts. You’re showing up to a very competitive race pretty late and with the worst app by far, respectfully. SUGGESTION 3: have a mandatory Zoom meeting in how to change your phone and app settings in the event of unexpected shutdowns. It’s bad enough to be without power and water but when you have restaurants showing they’re open and taking orders online when they’re not that’s precious time and unnecessary risk commuting in dangerous conditions.

App is always broken

This is the most frustrating app. Their mobile website already has so many problems so I tried MarcosPizza and wow. Every time I try to order it lets me go through the headache of picking out my order with all the errors and freezing and then. THEN. It always tells me there is an error and order can’t be processed. If you order any type of special deal, it gives all the options and won’t tell you that you can’t select any and pay extra or anything. No, it waits until the very end and then just has a pop up with the deal you selected and makes you read between the lines and go back through and not select anything extra. But doesn’t matter anyway because it will go through 0% of the time. With updated app and everything. The only way to order with Marco’s is to call but they don’t accept online deals via phone or use a desktop. But by that point you will be so sick to your stomach and exhausted you might as well make a salad.

It’s true this app is garbage

I read all the bad reviews about it not recognizing your address as being able to deliver even though you’ve ordered from there before, and there’s two stores within 5 miles of you. Loving punishment I tested all the negative issues people had with MarcosPizza . Within a few minutes I threw my phone at the wall. Signed up no problem. It recognized my closest store(2.4) miles away and another(4.7). Great I gotta be close enough for one of them right? Well no it said carry out only. Showed me pictures of food to order but clicking on them did nothing. No deals pass from the pull down menu bar. Glitchy AF. Lesson learned for me. Fire up the old windows vista laptop and order from site it would be quicker and less of a headache. I could use my phone, but navigating back and forth and entering odd codes for discount can get a bit frustrating too. An app should be easy to use, helpful, and quick. This offers nothing!

Update killed “place order” function

The latest update 1.2.74 killed the “place order” button. Tried to two very recent iPhones running 13.5.1. Get all the way to the final place order button after selecting the credit card and the button just sits there. Doesn’t blink to show it was pressed and it doesn’t progress to give order number and track your order function. Tried deleting and reloading app. Tried updating iOS to 13.6, but nothing. Called local Marco’s and asked for a app support number and they were clueless. Kept saying “no one else reported it”. Guess not. If they were as frustrated as I was they would have ordered from someone else! Was a very loyal Marco’s customer as the food is fantastic but MarcosPizza and the lack of app support cannot be good for business!

Issues placing order

I just tried to order a pizza three times for delivery but each time, when I entered the payment info and all, it would just continue to load and not go to a confirmation screen. The "I am not a robot." button would also time out while I waited for it to load or do something. I force closed to MarcosPizza as well and that didn't help.
It's strange because I've ordered before just fine with MarcosPizza , delivery and curbside. The pizza and store staff are all great here but MarcosPizza just needs major improvement. It can be difficult to call in for various reasons and an app saves a ton of trouble in lots of ways. I hope there's a genuine update soon that allows MarcosPizza to run smoother and not sway potential consumers.

Horrible app

I love Marcos, the food is great, but MarcosPizza is absolutely terrible. It is not user friendly or intuitive at all, it is extremely glitchy and difficult to navigate. It is almost impossible to even log in because of this, MarcosPizza keeps sending you to the same page again and again, and also does not tell you until after you complete your order if you are close enough for delivery or not. There is no clear navigation in MarcosPizza , and the check out process is also very glitchy. And the pop up ads for extra items are very annoying. PLEASE work on MarcosPizza , this is disgraceful

Who are the specials for??

MarcosPizza advertises specials, but you can’t actually get them. You have to find the email they sent you (if you haven’t deleted it) and go to the page from there to get the deal. After trying several times to click on the icon that pops up in MarcosPizza to get the deal. I finally went to my email and searched for the advertised deal. Unfortunately, at this point, I was on a mission and apparently didn’t hit delivery. So now, I have to pack all my kids in the car to drive up to the location to carryout my pizza, instead of getting the “easy” delivery I was hoping for. The so-called points aren’t worth the hassle. I’ll stick to Domino’s. Marco’s pizza is delicious, but I’m not sure it’s worth it.

Excellent app

Was hesitant to try MarcosPizza based on the number of poor reviews. Decided to try it anyway. Signed up; my regular store showed up at the top of the list of stores. Process was quick and smooth. Ordered a build your own pizza, which went very smoothly. Decided to add a salad before checking out, and again very easy. Added a credit card at checkout with no issues. After checkout, got a text that my CC had been charged, and confirmation email with order details and delivery time estimate. Actual delivery time was 20 minutes early. Entire experience was excellent.

Limited delivery area

Marcos makes good pizza. However, if you don’t live right next to the store, they don’t want to deliver to you.

Unfortunately, MarcosPizza doesn’t bother to tell you until you’ve gone through the process of assembling your order and starting to checkout. I find this odd since MarcosPizza asks for permission to check your location when you first open it. Why not just state up front that the user isn’t in the delivery area and give the user the option to continue as a carry out order or to close MarcosPizza and pick a pizza joint the has a realistic idea of what a delivery area should be?

If you are fortunate to live next to a Marcos Pizza, MarcosPizza will work well for you. If you don’t, save the space on your phone for more pictures of your cat.

The worst app I’ve ever used.

This is literally the worst app I’ve ever used. If you’ve ordered using MarcosPizza before, it does not ask you to select a store before you begin selecting items. You simply select delivery, carry out, or curbside. Then, when you get all the way to the point of checking out, you find out that your address is not in their delivery area. All of your order information is lost when you change to the store that can deliver to you. Except, it isn’t- the items are still in your cart, but you have to delete them or the same thing will happen again. The controls are wonky. Everything seems to take an incredibly long time. Check out the Domino’s app guys. It’s 1000 times better experience.

Crazy bad app

I hate how people come on here and review the pizza. This isn’t a pizza review site you idiots. This is an APP review section.

Anyway. MarcosPizza is not great. My address is not new. The house was built 3 years ago and still to this day you cannot type in our address and it work. Why require exact addresses at all? If you can’t find the address you should allow the user to submit the order anyway.

YOU ARE DIRECTLY LOSING BUSINESS BECAUSE OF MarcosPizza. I am proof of that. I eat a papa John’s strictly because you guys are on a high school level of professionalism and cannot allow users to free form type an address. It has to meet some address already preregistrated in your system. The software engineers care more about getting your address in the right format than allowing orders from people with a legitiment address. For one moment just think about how insane that is.

I will never order Marcos because you don’t take your customers seriously and you allow for your developers to build terrible apps like this with no quality assurance testing.

Good luck. Hope you go out of business.

Sadly not as good as their awesome pizzas!

Love Marcos food- our new favorite of the typical chain places. But MarcosPizza makes me crazy every time I use it. To the point where I prefer to just call my local shop and grab it myself. Maybe that’s what they want lol. For one thing, it NEVER works when trying to reorder. First, why does it try to find a local store- instead of assuming I want to reorder from where I ordered from EVERYTIME!! And once I pick a store I just get the white bar with a spinning wheel. Anyways, please fix it :)

Great pizza, HORRIBLE app—ZERO stars

Marco’s makes great pizza, but don’t waste your time downloading MarcosPizza. It’s beyond buggy, either not allowing you to log on, crashing frequently or locking up at various stages (especially when you’re trying to pay).

There can be no excuse for an app in this day and age to behave like this (on a recent iPhone with latest update, but MarcosPizza has been just as useless since I downloaded it months ago). I’ve kept hoping for an update that would fix it, but that hope has been in vain.

I just deleted MarcosPizza , and when I want Marco’s pizza I have to do it the old-fashioned way—with a phone call. It’s a pity, and the franchise owners are taking the hit for what is almost certainly a corporate screw-up.

Good Food, Horrible Ordering Platforms

Much like their website, MarcosPizza is completely unusable. I find that some items I've had before are not on the menu, and once I try to follow through the Checkout process, pressing continue does absolutely nothing.

It would also be fantastic to have items in Cart saved until purchase/removal across platforms (ie. Mobile app, mobile website, desktop website), since I have to add everything to the Cart again whenever I (for some reason) attempt to give the mobile app/site another chance and it fails like always. This feature just seems to make sense considering user accounts are a thing.

Awful website and app

Whoever is making MarcosPizza and website please bother to pass this through QA. I just spent 20 minutes trying to order something but MarcosPizza randomly doesn’t take passwords (which are saved so I’m not typing them, and work because I had use it to log in to MarcosPizza a few minutes before it asked me to log in again), also who had the genius idea to ask for addresses and then log in? It doesn’t make sense, let me log in first that way I don’t have to type my address every single time I want to order something. It feels like there’s no thought on how MarcosPizza and website should work, hire a UX designer and QA team because as they are neither should be live for users.

Delicious food

Ordered my first pizza from Marco’s last night. A family member was picking their pizza up and I asked if it’s good pizza? I was told it’s the best around! We called our order in and the team member was very friendly and courteous. Pizza was ready in 13 minutes. I’ll have to say, that ride home was difficult with those pizza’s smelling so good. Got home and couldn’t serve it up fast enough. It was perfect! We will definitely be eating it again!

Great App, No Issues

I’m not sure if maybe they’ve updated MarcosPizza a lot since the past year but I had no issues with MarcosPizza , or delivery time. I’ve ordered from Marcos on a couple different occasions and each time was quick and efficient.

I will say that I much prefer MarcosPizza than online, because sometimes it is hard to get logged in properly - must be some kind of glitch.

Issue placing orders

I have used MarcosPizza many times to place order but there are some new bugs. I attempted to place order it returned card was invalid. I retried 3 times even backing out and going through checkout again. same error. could not place order but there are 2 duplicate transactions pending on my credit card app. I called the store to see if order went through. they confirmed it didn’t show up. I called credit card company to let them know the transactions are not going through to store. They suggested to allow a few days to see if they post or clear out. Please fix the bugs!!

Darn App

Ok, we LOVE LOVE Marcos Pizza. At our location the staff is always friendly and my order is always correct. I do not choose delivery, only pick up. MarcosPizza needs a serious update to fix the bugs. Here lately I can’t ever get it to work. Using MarcosPizza is a big deal to me because life gets crazy so it’s easy to pull up “recently ordered” and pay and then pick up later instead of trying to find a quiet room to be able to call and order it. Please please fix MarcosPizza! I go to the orders section and it’s nothing but a white screen.

Can’t change to BBQ base in app or on website

There is no way to select bbq base when ordering on MarcosPizza or on the website. When you choose sauce/cheese, the only options are to remove the sauce altogether or have double sauce, have light cheese, or have white sauce. It’s annoying having to call every time because of this - it is typically loud in the store and I often have to repeat my order several times to correct the employee because they cannot hear me.

By

Almost as good as the website

I was happy to see a Marcos app once again and immediately downloaded and opened it. I was able to log in to my account and see my previous orders and everything as expected. I added my usual pizzas to a new order without issue. Unfortunately, unlike on my Mac, where I can use credit cards I’ve previously put into my Apple Wallet, such integration doesn’t seem to be available yet in MarcosPizza . Since I didn’t have my wallet within reach, I went back to the website on my laptop (since the website’s checkout functions never worked on my phone in the past). Unfortunately, the pizzas in my cart weren’t there when I logged in, which was disappointing since I’d expect them still to be there since it’s the same account being used on two different devices. I’m hopeful that improvements will be made because sometimes, I’m just too lazy to go get my laptop, and calling the store to put in an order means the possibility to get my order wrong—not to mention giving my credit card out over the phone.

Used to be my favorite

I never write reviews but hoping this will help facilitate a change. I loved MarcosPizza right up until my address fell off the delivery list. Now I’m sitting here with a ton of rewards points and coupons I can’t even use. Funny thing is, if I call the place they are like “of course we deliver to you, not sure why MarcosPizza says that”. Well it has said that now for months now and Marco’s has lost hundreds of dollars in my pizza orders just because MarcosPizza is hell bent on saying my address is outside the delivery zone. I would love to see an update with an accurate map and algorithm.

Needs work

Tried using last night and was completely frustrated. There seems to be no way to delete a mistake made when ordering, unless it’s hidden in checkout which I didn’t want to do as I wasn’t sure when my card would be charged.

Also, it gets confusing when ordering a specialty pizza, but with modifications. The way app is laid out it appears one must select “add to my order” after each choice (type, crust, toppings, etc); however, doing so adds another entire pizza to your order. Ended up ordering the old fashion way, by phone.

By

Works but UI not great

MarcosPizza works but is not very well designed for an app. It’s pretty clear to me that this is just their website ordering system wrapped in an app. It doesn’t function like an app and doesn’t take advantage of app functionality.

Credit card payment is the worst part. You enter your credit card information in their third party’s payment processing form which is very old and not optimized for a phone/app. I’d love to see Apple Pay integration. It’s an iOS app where payment is a critical part; should have Apple Pay.

By

Worked Great for Me!

Downloaded MarcosPizza thinking it was going to be horrible but it wasn’t. I was able to log into my existing account with no problem. Placed an order with no trouble and it also recognized the coupon. I didn’t try the delivery option. (It’s rare when we have it delivered) If we do use it and it gives me a hassle I’ll update my review. & there was no lag btw.

App locks up when ordering

I recreated a app lock up and crash by selecting two pizzas first and then trying to order a salad. The salad selection never really loads it just hangs MarcosPizza . When I changed the order to select the salad first, then the two pizzas it worked fine. Frustrated with the time to do the order 3 times. I called the store involved after the second crash and they never picked up the call. Then had no choice but to try the final sequence that worked. Poor testing.

By

Have never been able to place an order

I love Marcos pizza but MarcosPizza has never worked. I delete and re-download every once in a while to see if I can get a working version with a new update and it has never happened. I can pick all my food no problem and when I get to the screen to out in my phone number and select caryout and push the yellow button at the bottom of the screen to proceed to put in payment info it freezes....forever. Or is grayed out and won’t let me press at all. So frustrating!! It shouldn’t be this hard to order pizza with an app!! Fix it Marcos!!

Invalid email address??

I tried signing up through MarcosPizza . Simply refused to accept my email address as valid. I’ve had it for 20 years. My guess is they used the gmail email rules around no special characters other than periods so it simply refused to acknowledge that the dash in my email address could possibly be legitimate. Finally used my gmail address and it went through, but this is the first time something has ever refused my preferred email address as valid. Needs work...

App works great

Reading the reviews, it is like the general population is getting so stupid they can’t even use an app anymore. MarcosPizza works fine. If I had to give it a knock, it would be that it has no Apple Pay integration. The added plus is that the pizza is better than any other chain pizza place in my area....so much better that it’s not even close.

By

Worthless

MarcosPizza has all of the same performance issues that their website has. It is actually faster to call the store than to order on the website or through MarcosPizza. Marcos should be ashamed of themselves for having such a terrible application infrastructure. I am sure their franchises are losing out big time since people like me actually stop their order from frustration and place an order with a competitor whose app works correctly. Maybe I am just cranky because I am starving, but that is the niche pizza shops is supposed to fill. Quick and easy when you are starving. Boo!

By

Frustrating

MarcosPizza is just as good as the Marcos website.....terrible. 35 min to order a pizza. Could find what I wanted and tried to start over. Ended up with 2 pizzas in my cart. No wat to delete an item. Start over again, now 3 pizzas in my cart. Not sure how I finally got back to one pizza, but it took 35 min to order a pizza. Great pizza, fast delivery, but not worth the hassle. Was hoping MarcosPizza was better than the website. The website asks you to log in, then makes you type in your full address, before it logs you in. If I could just log in, it already has my address.

By

Trash

App claims that my address “was not found on our map” even though we are definitely within their delivery zone and they have people out here on my street holding up banners to advertise their store all the time. Complete waste of advertising money considering no one on this street can use their app to order. 🤦‍♀️ the new website is the same and does not recognize my address. The only option is to call in the order - lol no thanks, I will just place an order with the other pizza chain near to us that actually has a functioning app. 🤷‍♀️

I used a coupon for a large two topping pizza and added 3 sauces and cheese bread. I got NONE of my sauces and only one topping. Not only that but when my boyfriend tried to reset his password it wouldn't let him but said his login was incorrect.

Has Marco’s Pizza noticed a severe drop in sales since launching the new App/website ?? The new App/website is poorly functional, completely user unfriendly. From an engineering standpoint... Very poor programming 1. App on a computer, does not close by normal "Close"or "X" button; requires extra input from the user to "Leave the Page" -This is the first indicator the App is not ready for all OS / platforms. 2. Upon opening the new App, NO saved login is available, an extreme irritant, requiring the user to re-enter the information every time. 3. Many other errors are in the App. Lockups, jump displays, incorrect information and updates, no event memory, no Member memory, no preferences memory, to list just a few of the App errors. 4. Marco’s Pizza has no online or phone support for technical issues. I am a member, had been for years. The new App does not show my Rewards or any Offers. I lost all my points. - Before the new App, after every purchase, received a survey request and was rewarded with free cheesy bread. With the new App, no survey, no reward. All "Offers" received at my email address (for being a member) DO NOT work on the App. The codes do nothing in the new App. Therefore, no discounts, no BOGO, no specials or any other offers. ...THEREFORE, no incentive(s) to bring me back to Marco’s Pizza

I am a Marcos customer and I usually pick up my pizza from the Clyde Ohio store. I regularly receive email offers from Marcos, which we often take advantage of. Recently though we have been unable to redeem the coupons that Marcos inform us of. Last week we received an email offering 25% off using coupon code LP3F. I tried a number of times, both entering and copy & pasting the code, but each time it said "Invalid Coupon Code". My wife tried and got the same result so we gave up and ordered from somewhere else. Yesterday (Oct 16) I apparently got the same email again with the same LP3F code. I was busy yesterday and only read it this morning. I thought that I would try again. I signed into my account at the Clyde Ohio store and tried to order it again for pick up at 7.05 pm tonight. Same result, invalid code. I went onto a different computer, as the one I was on defaults to the Clyde store, and tried to order the same pizza at the Fremont Ohio store (which is also close by) and ordering as a guest. Same result, invalid code. Today I received an email offering a large pepperoni magnifico for $9.99 with the code PEPMAG, I tried and you guessed it "Invalid Coupon Code". I sent Marcos an email (no response yet) and I'm writing this in the hope that someone from Marcos reads it because they are about to loose a regular customer. Without a coupon they are over-priced compared to local pizza stores.

The app used to be ok. At lest it didn't have the pervasive issues that the current one does. Just logging in is a challenge. Like you have to sign up for the local store and then login. Even then, it doesn't remember you. The website is just as bad. So much so that I've uninstalled the app and stopped ordering from them. The silver lining, my waistline thanks the IT people that made it too cumbersome to order.

App and website suck. I get emails advertising a special on an Ultimate Magnifico. It can not be offered from either web or app. Also my rewards disappeared with the new app.
