DONT USE!! Read! NO BOOST NO ZELLE!

I have had AXOS for almost two years. In the beginning AXOS seemed fine. Recently every time I try to log in I get the message “server error” and my balance says 0. Which is very wrong. When I would call for help I would get a customer service agent within a few minutes who I could understand clearly and vice versa now the language barriers are ridiculous I don’t know where they have out sourced their CS to but it’s really horrific. They charged back 3 legitimate transfers I made and over-drafted my account. ( one of them was a refund check I deposited from another BANK a check written by a bank to me they did not honor ( they did at first then pulled the money) after they put in my account they pulled the money out 3 days later) I am having to back-peddle and put money in the account I am closing again. The reason I am closing is that they don’t work with EXPERIAN BOOST! None of the bills I have been paying for 2 years for my phone, gas, water, energy, etc are able to help my credit AT ALL!! I am so mad. I opened a new bank account an month ago with a legitimate bank that EXPERIAN recognizes and I am already boosting my credit with the bureaus. Be careful with the fintech banks they are not really banks!!! Also NO ZELLE! Which was a problem for rent payments I had to go through Venmo which took 10 days to move every month. BEWARE!!!!

I Miss Wisebanyan

I signed up for Wisebanyan a long time ago and I loved the simplicity of AxosAllInOne , the goal based portfolios, and ease of applying different investment strategies. The new app is a cluge, adding and editing portfolios seems to barely work if at all, there’s a new management fee, and now instead of the sleek simple look my eyes are accosted by what appears to be a big banking app with ugly ads. Wisebanyan made investing simple and fun, using AxosAllInOne is like taking 5 steps backward to e-trade of the early 2000s.

It just never worked well after Axos took over, it implied all the cool roboinvesting tools like formulas I had used in Wisebanyan were still available to me in the new app, but all the buttons would do is take me to the old Wisebanyan website and throw an error. After trying to live with it for a year or so I finally rolled over my accounts to Betterment to get the kind of service I loved in the first place. However, even that process was clunky and I had to constantly reach out to support to get my money out of my accounts, usually weeks after I made the request thru AxosAllInOne I would reach out and someone would get back to me “apologizing for the inconvenience” and then doing what AxosAllInOne should have done automatically.

In summary, Robomanaged investment accounts thru AxosAllInOne are completely broken, look elsewhere!

Infuriating

AxosAllInOne is astonishingly awful. I wonder if the developers have ever actually used it. First off, it is brutally slow and unresponsive. Second, the check deposit function flat out doesn't work. Go ahead, try it. I'll wait. I gave up after about 20 attempts with every variation of perfect studio lighting, contrasting backgrounds and orientation of the check. It never recognized the check and kept giving errors. Third, trying to activate a debit card was an exercise in frustration. I kept getting an unhelpful, generic failure error and eventually had to contact customer service to have my card activated. Fourth, why oh why does AxosAllInOne keep interrupting you in the middle of check uploading to remind you to upload your signature document? Each time it interrupts the deposit workflow, you have to start all over again. This is a laughable disgrace of an app in 2022. Go look at the BoA app as an example of how to do it right.

Interest rates are great. But app and deposits are not

Are you all ever going to shorten the time a check mobile deposit takes to clear? As an FYI. Although we have enjoyed your interest rates. We are currently looking for other banking solutions. Simple check deposits should not take 5+ business days. I use 3 other banks for businesses, personal accounts, and 2 credit unions. And all of them accept thousands of dollars in mobile deposits a day. They take…on average about 24 hours to fully deposit and be available for withdrawal. Your process on the other hand takes a LONG time for such a simple function. It took one day just to get the mobile deposit approved to be deposited then another 5 day wait?! When I was new it was 7 days! For an internet bank?! That’s insane! Anyway, just wanted to leave that feedback so that you knew why I was leaving and maybe it might make a difference to some executive somewhere that might change the policy. Thank you.

So bad lately. Honestly just avoid.

AxosAllInOne is so god awful lately.

Recently have been looking for a different brokerage/ robo advisor to switch to.

I could not find my account number anywhere on AxosAllInOne since it kept bouncing me back to the previous version “managed portfolios” so decided to check tax documents assuming my account number would be on there.

The documents are unavailable even from previous years.

The chat bot Evo is completely useless.

Recently, my deposits have not been going through even though they were going through just fine previously for years.

There was a deposit that had shown up on my bank statement through Chase but did not show up as a deposit under transactions on my end. I called Axos customer service to ask about it. The person on the phone was very nice and ensured me it had gone through, no complaints about him. The funds were withdrawn from my chase account on July 20th and it seems like I have a trade for the same amount about 20 days later.

My most recent deposit did not go through and I doubt the next one will either.

Honestly considering liquidating and moving the money rather than transferring the assets just to avoid the headache and get out faster.

This was really good when it was wisebanyan. Hardly anything changed about the interface when it was “managed portfolios,” but now with this Axos redesign/migration, everything is terrible.

Yikes

So where do we start?

I opened these accounts to replace the majority of my credit union when I moved this August.

After the application the Instant Account Verification for funding the account never finished the confirmation. I then downloaded AxosAllInOne and had no accounts listed with constant errors. Multiple at once.

It was late so I let it go and decided to check back tomorrow, that was yesterday, I logged into the website and found my accounts! I was exited, especially due to the online aspect with the pandemic going on. Unfortunately that would not last long, I soon found out that the website runs incredibly slow (I proved it was the website by opening both my bank accounts and credit accounts- also by checking back today) once again I could not link accounts and found out the loan ad tiles are there to stay. The concept is nice but the execution is bad.

The point was made, this wasn’t the bank for me - however I felt off about closing it - so I let it sit, which leads us to today. I definitely wasted my time giving this bank so many tries, I just can’t get anything to work or load fast which is necessary because it’s only online. I even tried again today to no avail.

Ultimately I think I’m going to sit this one out and let it close out automatically in the 58 days that remain to fund the accounts and I’ll be unfortunately going in branch tomorrow to a local (statewide) bank.

I tried, I really did.
If you stay, good luck - you’ll need it!

Incredibly slow

I liked the idea of an online bank and tried Axos for the interest checking. However, AxosAllInOne is sooooooo slow and glitchy. Plus the heart stop moment every single time you open it where all your accounts say $0 until it finishes loading. Or, as is often the case, it doesn’t load at all because “servers are down”. I’ll be switching banks just given AxosAllInOne experience.

An update- now that I have had to use the support center I would NEVER have signed up with this bank. They use a third party called Evo for support. Took me numerous calls to verify a transfer I initiated. The call center drops your call frequently. It definitely was not my phone because I could hear all the telecommunications folks in the background also yelling “hello? Hello?” Into the phone. The mobile messaging doesn’t give you any assistance so there is no way to get help without going through the call center.

There is NO REASON to use AxosAllInOne. Go somewhere else. I’m just worried if I’ll even be able to close this account given how terrible the customer service is.

Simple Bankers don’t use Axos

I used to bank with Simple and since they are transitioning May 8 to BBVA I searched for a new bank more like Simple. I thought Axos was going to be it. Nope. Nothing like Simple. I’m trying to move my money to my new bank and my money is being held hostage. I have $11k in savings and daily allowance to move money is $5k and monthly allowance to move money is $7500. Annoying AF. So I set up one transaction today, 3/29 for $5k leave $6k behind. Then went to set the rest to transfer on 4/1 & 4/2 and it’s already denying me saying I met the monthly limit which isn’t even possible. I’m hoping come 4/1 it doesn’t give me that error. But worst mistake transferring to this bank. Oh! My paycheck took almost 2 weeks to clear. It was literally TWO days before my next pay check hit when my check cleared. I had to charge groceries on credit cards and was late on payments due to this. Customer service wasn’t exactly kind either when I inquired about my paycheck clearing.

Missing key features

My mortgage payment has to be rescheduled every year because the escrow amount increases due to property tax increases and/or insurance going up. AxosAllInOne should automatically do this and notify me my next payment will be going up by $X. The feedback form in AxosAllInOne is limited to 220 characters and is difficult to read once you’ve typed more than 150 character due to the keyboard being in the way. Simple fixes would make this a great app. JP Morgans app is vastly superior. Not sure how AxosAllInOne has such good reviews. It’s also inexcusable that Eno can’t transfer me in app to a real representative. The inability to get real customer support via AxosAllInOne is definitely a poor design. Eno as a whole is more or less useless as well. The past due notifications also do not work right. They fire on the 1st of the month, but if that day is a weekend or holiday the payment won’t come out until the next business day, thus I’m notified I’m past due on something erroneously. There should be an option to notify me on the first business day after the payment due date to resolve this issue.

Just avoid this bank

AxosAllInOne is trash to load. Once loaded, it’s ok but needs serious help. The managed portfolio (MP) account is garbage - your money goes into a black hole, the statements you get for the account is useless to know your investments, and if the market values go low your balance goes below zero since the deposits aren’t tracked when the money is invested. Closing the MP account is useless as they won’t tell you you have to get the account to $0 in order to close it. Secure messages are ignored and/or closed without being addressed. The mortgage department is immature in dealing with mortgages outside of their HQ state, they will low ball closing cost estimates to get the business then update the real estimates closer to closing in an attempt to make you feel like you have no choice but to stay with them for a mortgage. The goal post for the juicy interest rates keeps moving. Your debit card will get locked out for fraud risk at the worst time possible, for daring to venture outside of your typical circle retailers and vendors. Just overall garbage. If the BBB reviews are any measure, this review will be met with platitudes, maybe vengeance, rather than solutions. Just put your money back into your external account and cut ties now.

It’s bad

Axos sent me a bad debit card twice, with an incorrect name. After the first time, I expected maybe they’d have some urgency since it was their mistake, but no. So I talked to a support rep who guaranteed me the third card would be overnighted. Only to get a follow up message via AxosAllInOne that it will be another 7-10 business days. So we’re talking a good 6 weeks now without access to my money. With that message, I replied that I was told it would be overnighted. When I got the very same automated message back about it taking 7-10 days, I responded with “I will be taking my banking and investment business elsewhere” because of this experience. They then decided, without ANY approval, that they would close my account, despite that I never actually requested to close my account. The lack of awareness coupled with the lack of any type of QA screams a top-down issue. The wrong people are in charge. The wrong processes are DEFINITELY in place and Axos has no regards for their customers. I have direct deposits and numerous bills linked to an account that they just decide to close without and authorization.

I could go on about AxosAllInOne issues too, but I’ll leave it with the actual banking and service experience.

The app just isn’t functional, can’t access money

For many of us, our path to Axos Bank started at an investment app called WiseBanyan, which eventually became Axos Invest, with a more recent forced integration with Axos Bank. The initial change made everything a bit worse, but the recent transition took us from a totally serviceable app and website to one that both lacks core services that made investment with them worthwhile AND just isn’t functional on a basic level. Lots of crashes, lots of the website/app simply doesn’t work, it’s a nightmare.

What’s really frustrating, though, is that there clearly hasn’t been any effort in customer service. I sent a support request asking about some of the functionality on the site along with the status of a transfer I’d submitted over a week prior that hadn’t gone through, and on top of all the functionality I asked about being unavailable, my transfer had been canceled without any notification. I followed up the next day asking why my transfer had been canceled and if my new request could be expedited in any way. No response. I followed up 4 days later. Still no response. If I can’t easily access my money and can’t get any response about why I can’t easily access my money, why in the world would I stick with this bank?

PLEASE READ***

Please pick or choose any other bank out there besides this one. This bank has been nothing but stressful for me ever since they bought out the BOFI bank. *They made a change that they feel buying lottery tickets is considered gambling and they wont allow you to buy any kind if lottery tickets.. by the way… they did this overnight and told no1 about the change. You find our by buying your weekly tickets at the store to be told your card is declined! *Not one English speaking representative in any department, trying to understand their answers to your questions is almost impossible! *They changed the 3-day-hold on deposited checks to a 5-day-hold and when u call them and say, its been 5 days, where’s my money?? They say they have up to 7-days to hold it. *Here’s the fun kicker with that one! Think they have a secret department that decides when to release your deposited checks into your account because, ive seen my work check sit for 7 days before being released and then a few days later, I’ll deposit a smaller checks that will get cleared within 24hrs!!!! This bank is soooooo dreadful deal with. Save yourself the hassle and either leave this bank or signup with someone else! Like Chime or Capitol one 360 ( P.S. this bank does not pay you 2 days early like most banks out there )

Not so great for check deposits

I really liked the ease of setup and AxosAllInOne itself. My biggest issue was the wait times for mobile check deposits. The company i work for still uses paper checks and not direct deposits. (We are a small family owned business). The first time i did a mobile deposit my money was not available for 7 days. I figured this was because it was a new account and after the first verified deposit it would get better. Well on the second it was another seven days and then on the third it was 8. I cant wait over a week each time i get paid to have my funds available. 7-8 days is just crazy.

I opened an account with another bank and did my first mobile deposit yesterday. Within a few hours i had $500 available and this morning the rest was ready to go.

Its a shame as i really wanted to stick with Axos, but i cant be waiting over a week every two weeks for my funds to become available. If you don’t need to do mobile deposits, im sure this would work out great.

You won’t be able to pull your money out

I have used AxosAllInOne and saved for a few years and recently accumulated enough money and wanted to pull out. This was the first time I tried to pull large sums out of my accounts and could not believe how long this process takes. They advertise it takes 7-10 business days. Well I’m going on 8 weeks. And after calling and calling and receiving excuses like all the withdrawals were canceled in our system for some reason, Or we have to reinstate the transfer because it should have moved to your account, I decided to close my accounts. It has now been an additional two weeks and still have not had the funds transferred to my account. I also recommend getting email proof which is what I did for my last closure request and had Kam send me email (not that it helped) Don’t believe me, I encourage you to try and take out a large sum from any account or milestone. You won’t get your money. I will continue to update on this matter.

I have switched to M1 finance and so far so good with even more growth of my investment.

For an established online bank, you’d think they’d have a better app.

Just created a new checking account as my current bank, Simple, is unfortunately closing down due to a merger. Axos has some of the best interest rates and is an established online bank, but AxosAllInOne and websites are trash. After being unable to add external accounts to AxosAllInOne (app force closes or freezes when I try), I tried to do this via their website and I had issues there as well. I should have seen the red flags when I was having such major issues opening an account to begin with because their online site was littered with bugs and a less than optimal UX. It took me two hours to just open an account, switching back and forth from their mobile site to their desktop site and back again since many of their verification steps would randomly glitch out or the “NEXT” buttons would become inactive. I’m going to give this one more try, but if I keep running into issues left and right, I’m just going to close the account and look elsewhere.

Worst App Ever

This is a joke of an app. First, it looks and feels like a school project. Every screen takes 5-10 seconds to render. You link external accounts and they do not show up anywhere despite successful completion of the flow! You set up FaceID and it just randomly stops working. You remove an external account and it still shows up on some screens but not all! You try to submit a bill and get “oops! Our servers are not responding”. I have been desperately trying to move my money out to my other account so I can dump this thing for good. Cleverly, they limit the only transfer mode that works to $5k, so I have to wait a whole month before I can free myself from this disastrous experience. Also, good luck getting help or getting to talk to a person. You get a chat bot that is as dumb and as frustrating as one can be. Stay away if you want to save time. I would not trust this bank with my money!

Looking for a bank that can show accurate records

The most recent update of AxosAllInOne caused the oldest dates to be listed first in the transaction section, so you have to scroll through 200+ posted transactions to be able to see the most recent and pending transactions. It’s an annoying little nuance.

A much bigger nuance is they list deposits as posted 5-7 days before money is actually available, so the daily balance is not correct. I was going crazy with reviewing and re-reviewing the transactions on my account while trying to figure out why I was short on funds AFTER my deposit showed as posted. I couldn’t figure it out, then about a week later, the deposit became available and the daily balance suddenly was finally correct. AxosAllInOne caused me a week of unnecessary anxiety that could have easily been avoided if the deposit simply shown as pending until it was fully available.

App needs improvement

I LOVE Axos as a bank, but AxosAllInOne really needs some work. My main complaint is the page where we can freeze and unfreeze the debit card. I’ve had my card information stolen in the past with other banks, so this is a major feature for me. When I’m not actively using my card, it’s important to me I be able to shut the card off. Because I do this so frequently, I need AxosAllInOne to be trustworthy when it comes to this, and it isn’t. For a long time, I could unfreeze and freeze it through AxosAllInOne , but it was extremely slow. I’m talking around 3 minutes of the page loading, every single time, for me to click the switch to turn the card on or off, and then another few minutes for it to update to locked or unlocked. Now I can’t do it at all. It tells me it’s loading for a few minutes, then AxosAllInOne freezes entirely and shuts down. I now have to log into my account on my browser to use this feature. I’m thankful it works so easily and quickly through the website, but for someone like me that is constantly turning my card on and off, it kind of renders AxosAllInOne useless.

Needs work

Recently I joined Axos after Simple Bank switched to BBVA. I love the service Axos provides and their customer service. AxosAllInOne on the other hand…. Needs help on my device. AxosAllInOne will log me out for inactivity and that causes AxosAllInOne to act weird when I log back in, I need to force close AxosAllInOne (swipe up) everytime I’m done with it. AxosAllInOne is also pretty slow on my device which is weird. I have notifications turned on but I rarely receive any notifications from AxosAllInOne , I do get the email notification for any transaction or change though. Deposits or charges to the account take more than a few minutes to pop up in AxosAllInOne (even though the changes in the account have posted) which can be annoying sometimes.

It would be nice if you were able to get a widget that showed an updated balance on your accounts that way you can get a quick glance and not have to log in and deal with crashes and glitches.
