Odeko - Order Local Coffee Reviews

I used cloosive for months before they merged with this app. My experience with cloosive was always awesome and easy to use. When the merger happened I tried to get on Odeko for this app and was locked out because of their new policies about logging in with social media. I’ve tried again and again to log into my account but there seems to be no password recovery process on their app or on their website that I’ve found thus far. Moreover, I had several rewards for continued use that I am now locked out of. Overall, this wild goose chase is just not worth it and is a real shame because I want to support my local coffee shops easily.

We’re not fans of the new update. Can you allow us to make a personal profile of preferences? Like my preferred coffee shop, payment method, etc? It defaults to west coast, and I’m east coast. I don’t want to turn on location services because it’s no one’s business and it eats my battery. But even when I do, it selects the closest ones, and they’re not my preferred shop. I have to search for my shop every time. Additionally, I don’t want the default flavors of caramel and coconut milk, and I don’t want the this app wallet, I want my Apple Pay, but I have to search and select for every single personalized preference every single time.

I wanted to love Odeko. The concept is so compelling. The idea of placing an order while walking my dog and then swinging by to pick it up a little later. But in reality Odeko fails frequently and without warning. Sometimes it gets stuck loading at the get go, sometimes it freezes after submitting an order leaving your order status in question. Sometimes it won’t let me sign in, other times it says my payment form is invalid (even though nothing has changed) and then accepts it later.

Most recently I actually received a message saying “something went wrong. Your order might have gone through. Check your receipts.” 🤔 Went to the coffeeshop I had attempted to order from and they hadn’t received it (they also expressed disappointment in Odeko ).

In summary, when it works, it’s wonderfully convenient. But when it fails, which is often, it’s a waste of time.

Overall, this is a handy app for ordering ahead at participating shops. However, it does glitch frequently. Sometimes it will close out when I add something to the cart, or my earned rewards will disappear, especially if they are running their own promotion for the day. The most recent glitch is that my local shop opened up another day during the week and changed that on Odeko . It shows as they are open on my end and their end, yet every time I try to order ahead on that particular day, it tells me they are closed. Odeko has been updated on both our ends, and neither one of us knows why it’s doing that. So overall, it’s a decent app, but it could use some improvements.

Allows me to skip the line at my local coffee shop, no contact pay, both are really nice. I have run into Odeko crashing some and quite a few times my order has just not come through to the coffee shop. It always wants to charge my card even if I have a balance on Odeko that is enough to pay. The wallet always tries to charge my Apple Pay even after I select the card I have loaded in Odeko . Local coffee shops are listed alphabetically, so it doesn’t matter that I favorited the one in my neighborhood. It would be nice if the favorites rose to the top or something. I will keep using it because the concept is fantastic and I am hoping that with time it will become a really great app.

I love supporting our local coffee shop and being able to order ahead. Odeko is straightforward and easy to use, in general. There are two things that need to be improved.

The first is when you place the order and hit “done”, it disappears! It makes you wonder if the coffee shop got your order at all. I was able to find the order in the order history, and check in when I arrived. However...

The coffee shop did not get alerted about my order until I “checked in” upon arrival. So I still had to wait for them to make my food, which pretty much defeats the purpose of ordering ahead on Odeko .

Please fix these bugs and it will be a great app!

Update: the developer responded and said an update is coming out this week to address these issues.

I love the ease of use of Odeko. I order a coffee from my local shop nearly every day. The only change I’d recommend is being able to see the comments on my “favorites” orders. I usually indicate if I want sugar, decaf, etc, using the comments section. And I can’t see this on past orders, making it difficult to make them as “favorites” for ease of reordering.

Overall Odeko is pretty good. It was a little glitchy at first. The screen would go black sometimes, but I have not had an issue in a while. The map is convenient for finding participating shops, and the order and payment system are fine. I have only experienced 1-2 order issues, and I use Odeko on most weekdays. Odeko holds your order history as expected, which is helpful for quick reordering.

Update: Been using for a while now and so far so good.

Odeko is phenomenal for getting great deals on local coffee around town. There are constantly opportunities for rewards and discounts that go a long way to saving your wallet over time.

It can be a little convoluted to use (rewards, for example, can only be accessed after you’ve all but rung up the order), so it is a little annoying to use at times. But the money saved is worth it. Just remember to look at the barista and not at your phone while you order ;)

I love Odeko. I am always running tight on time and waiting in line at my local coffee shop doesn’t always fit in my schedule. Using Odeko I am able to place my order and run by and pick it up quick! I wish a few other local shops would use Odeko. With this app it makes it even easier to support small businesses! 💙💛

I was hesitant at first when our local coffee shop started using Odeko for order-ahead during the pandemic as I’d never heard of it before. Months (years?) later and now I’m not sure what we’d do without it. Simple to use, stable, and I love that you can easily re-order your frequent orders.

We are definitely coffee snobs, and Brugh is the only coffee shop in town that meets our high expectations! We love that Luke roasts his blends in-house and that they make many (maybe all?) of their own syrups in-house, as well. We buy all of our coffee beans from Brugh for our own use at home - there’s no better cup of coffee to start your morning with! And we love that they have made ordering ahead (and curbside pickup) so quick and easy since the pandemic hit. We LOVE this local business and we recommend them to friends & family whenever we get an opportunity!

This is currently the only way to get coffee from my favorite shop, and it’s wonderful! I get to dither and ponder from the comfort of home (without holding up half the neighborhood). Then I can walk down and pick it up on a lazy day, or stop curbside on my way to work. I may use it even after they open up inside! After all, it’s impolite to hold up the line.

I love that my local coffee shop switched to Odeko, it’s easy, has low fees and always has great deals and coupons/promos you can apply. I wish it had a way of advertising the open hours though! Love that I can still support local businesses while staying socially distant through using Odeko.

I love that I can order my favorite coffee and pick it up on my way to work or when I’m hanging out with friends around town. For a person like me who is always pressed for time, not having to wait in line saves me so much time and allows me to spend it doing things I care about. The convenience can’t be beat. But perhaps my favorite aspect of Cloosiv is supporting local and small businesses. I can’t wait for Cloosiv to add more local coffee shops to their list.

Everyone that works at Tidal Ground is simply amazing, always incredibly pleasant, ready to greet you with a smile and start your day off in a positive way! The coffee is top notch, I enjoy the lattes the most, and I like telling them to pick a flavor and surprise me; I have never been disappointed. You have to try a slice of quiche or the bagel bomb! Delicious!! Janelle sets the tone with her positive energy and places this coffee shop above all others!

This is a good, functional app that does what it is supposed to and is really easy to use without any nonsense. One shortcoming is customizable coffee add-ins, like selecting the number of extra espresso shots. I like two added shots but Odeko does not allow it. My workaround is to order the coffee and also order a double espresso and dump it in, but that wastes a paper cup. Odeko add-in would be more environmentally friendly.

I love love love that I can preorder coffee and choose whether I want it picked up curbside, or if I just want to go in and grab it. this app makes for super easy cardless transactions. My only suggestion would be to make the tip option much more visible! Sometimes when I see others order on their phones, I notice they don’t always see the tip option and then don’t tip because of it. Tipping is very important to me, so I’d love to see that more prevalent :-)

I live in a small town and frequent the coffee shop often. Odeko is great because I easily get access to the full menu. I love how fast and thorough it is. You can get discount specials and you do not have to re-enter information to get purchase “rewards credit.” Odeko is fast and efficient— unlike online learning!You can also search for other food or coffee venues around your area and place orders in advance! Make sure you keep your app version updated.

Odeko is by far the most intuitive, delightful and useful I have experienced. Easy ordering, choices, and expectations are clear.

Also, you don’t have to feel guilty about the rewards because they don’t come out of your favorite shops pockets’ - another reason this company is set apart from the rest. It’s not taking advantage of shops in need with 30% charges like the main food and beverage competitors.

Use Odeko - enjoy your cup. Coffee is community and Odeko was created with that same paradigm.

Cloosiv has So much potential! My only problem, and it is a big problem, is the system claimed I had used a reward when I had not. My response to the problem was that they showed I had used it. It’s only three dollars but it’s the principle with me! Other than that I would’ve given it a five star review

Currently downloading an update so maybe it will fix the frustrating navigation which doesn’t work right off the bat, or save your order if you navigate away before paying.
Totally appreciate the rewards, and not having to be late for work bc it takes so long to get my order. It’s very convenient. Great app.

It’s nice to get the discounts, the people who work there are really friendly and it’s convenient to be able to run in and get my order. However, there are also bugs (there were a ton in the beginning). My order can take a few minutes to get received by the shop, for example. But again, overall it’s been a positive experience.

I love that Cloosiv is being discovered in my area! It’s making grabbing a coffee on the way to work just that much easier. The reason for the 4 stars is the system has been buggy lately and a few of my rewards have both either not shown up or disappeared.

Odeko is great! The coffee shop I frequent gets busy with long lines. It’s so quick and easy to order ahead and have my drink waiting for me when I arrive. I appreciate the constant improvements and updates Odeko has made also, making it easier to use. I keep coming back for the promo codes and rewards.

I really enjoy Odeko and how it adds convenience in supporting my local coffee shop. Often if I was on the go and in a rush before I got Cloosiv, I’d stop at a chain coffee shop for the order ahead convenience. Now I can do the same for my favorite local joint! The interface has improved greatly with the recent update. The rewards are also 👌. I’m a huge fan.

Cloosiv has been amazing during the Covid epidemic. They were kind and professional, and more importantly, they quickly showed their true colors as a company wanting to help small businesses during this time. Yes, Cloosiv has a business interest in helping other businesses. And this is what makes them great.

I love using Odeko at my local coffee shop. I find it makes ordering coffee and beating the lines super easy. I like the new update that makes tracking my rewards even easier. Apple Pay makes it really convenient to just pay and grab my coffee and go. I would recommend Odeko to anyone!

I love Cloosiv — it’s a perfect way to support your local coffee shops while still maintaining the convenience factor of ordering ahead. I work uptown so it’s nice to be able to order my drink and have it ready by the time I walk in the shop. I love the rewards features as well, and tend to now only going to local coffee shops that work with Odeko. I wish all local coffee shops in my area worked with Cloosiv!

Love Cloosiv for this easy to use app! Especially love the reorder. I can quickly tap into my history, reorder, pay & pick up my order via drive thru. I also love the search feature to find a new shop near by when traveling. I trust that the locations using Cloosiv will meet my expectations. Awesome app!

I would never of gone to my local coffee house for lunch because of the crowds and the time spent waiting to order and waiting to get my food. With Cloosiv, I order at my desk and it’s ready or almost ready when I get there. Now I actually have time to eat it during my lunch hour.

I love Odeko.... I can order ahead on my way to work and run in and grab my coffee with no hassle whatsoever. And for added bonus they give out random discounts that I would not have gotten if I just went in the coffee shop and ordered. Odeko has my my life so convenient!

Love the Cloosiv app! It makes my local lunch spot (The Axis) as convenient as any drive thru, but with much better food! My order is always ready and waiting for a super quick pick up or is ready for me to to simply sit down and eat on arrival! So, so easy and convenient! Great app for busy people!

Love the ease and efficiency of Odeko. Get in car, place order at my local coffee shop, pay and pick up all in 5 min. Having Odeko makes it so easy. In addition, I appreciate the rewards program they offer, it’s a very nice benefit/touch!
