MSC for Me Reviews

MSC gets a three star because it’s better than speaking with the American customer service and less frustrating than the American this app website. It provides just enough basic information without the long hold time and you can screenshot the information. Read the FAQ! It may not make you happy but it will ease the pain and frustration.

Pros: Quickly see your itinerary. Easy web check-in. F.A.Q. is very useful. The photos look amazing!

Cons: MSC works well but serves almost no other purpose other than web checkin. You can’t order anything through MSC . I only found prices for the excursions, not the drink packages, restaurant options, or anything else. It’s just as bad as the customer service and website you just don’t have to listen to someone make you feel like an idiot because this app can’t keep their story straight with their offers or make refuse to be clear...transparent.

Overall, we’ve invested to much time and money so we’re hoping for the best once we’re on board.

Chat with other members doesn’t work well. QR codes won’t scan.

I could not check-in, I could not scan my passport, I could not book any packages, I could not book any excursions, I could not register my card, I could not upload my picture. So? What is the darn point of creating MSC? At the moment it is a limited showcase of things I can do in my upcoming cruise WITHOUT the ability to achieve anything meaningful. I just hope our upcoming experience with the cruise is not like MSC (or customer service!)

At least every time I opened MSC to check my balance, or look at the menu in one of the restaurants, it crashed, and I would have to open it again. The info in MSC was useful, but it was hard to find things. Randomly the menu for one night would be blank, and so on. Not a very user friendly interface.

Can communicate with family elsewhere on ship and be apprised of upcoming show and other opportunities.
Gave 4 stars only because there are times when it seens I’m disconnected - but this is rare!

Chat works and it's good but it doesn't send push notifications which is a huge issue and it should be implemented because i have difficulty communicating with my family.

Very limited functionality, can only show data, doesn’t allow any updates. Slow performance with bugs that usually say “Error occurs”. Compromised security - one should only enter the booking number and first/last passenger name, no additional validation, nothing. As result anyone knows your name can see all personal information that this app collects.

Compared to other cruise lines, MSC serves no purpose. There’s no deck plans and it’s hard to figure out. The chat function did not work on my cruise.

Everyone has a hard time finding areas on this ship and there is only deck plans available at the elevator.

Everything I’d want and expect on my iPad and wife’s iPhone. But I have iOS 13 and it crashes every single time I open it. Customer support acknowledges that it is not currently compatible with iOS 13. It’s been out for 4 weeks folks. Let’s solve that.

Just got off the Seaside and couldn’t use MSC the whole time. Does not work with the New iOS 13 update. Went to Guest Services and they claimed it must be my phone because no one else had reported issues. Now seeing these reviews many people are having the same issue. If they don’t update MSC be ready not to use it with your iPhone!l

Onboard now. Went to guest services and were told no one had reported any issues. Yet reading reviews that anyone that upgraded to iOS 13 is experiencing the same issues as myself. Constant crashing. Unable to view anything. Have to rely on doing things through in room tv and going to guest services for anything else.

Frustrating app. Probably the worst. I have an IPHONE XR and have had to delete MSC no less than 5 times and it keeps giving me Login System Failure. Sometimes it works (maybe 1x out of 10) but most of the time it doesn't work. Not expecting it to work on board either. 😢

MSC keeps crashing. I have deleted it and reinstalled twice. I open it and it immediately crashes before even opening. Sooo frustrating and annoying that this app is so inefficient with their app and customer service, in general.

this app is a very classy cruise line.

Second cruise with this app and both times I have to regularly delete and download MSC! It gets stuck often! App works decently once onboard. MSC is limited and a PAIN compared to other cruise lines’ apps!

I like it bc I can chat with my friends that r on the cruise with me even if I don't have wifi I was scared I would get lost

About to go on a cruise and MSC continuously gives me errors (even after deleting MSC and reinstalling it) plus the itinerary screen never appears - it just continually spins 👎
Note: I am on iOS 13.1.1 and it looks like MSC is currently incompatible with iOS 13.

I updated my app I leave in 3 days and I was glad to see the update say I can register my debit/credit card in app before hand but when I updated MSC I don’t see any change in MSC and am not seeing the new options as stated above that are supposed to be present. Please help

It’s good but it keeps crashing, so I have download and reinstall multiple times to have a working app.

Doesn’t provide access to family calls or any other medium of communication except Facebook

MSC was fantastic on the Seaside. We booked our shows and was able to see daily activities as well as use map of the ship. It’s a must once you board!

I don’t know what’s wrong with MSC this week but I’m not able to check in and I’m not able to order stuff like spa or drink packages. I’m able to see the itinerary

This is now the second time in 3 weeks that MSC stopped working for an entire week! Can’t see my count down or itinerary. I board in a week. I would like it to work. They need to fix this!

It asks for a booking number to log in. I type in my booking number. It says sorry this is for provided list of ships only. The ship we are on is on that list.
