I feel what this app does is provide a real world interpretation of what is happening with my credit. Unfortunately, their assessments are limited by what the three main bureaus provide. Those scores are not necessarily up to date. And because of that, what you see is not an absolute representation of where you actually are. In other words, it’s a glorified guess! Armed with that understanding, I believe this app considers that and give a score that best represents where you are. When I learned that the three bureaus are actually owned by the companies that grant you credit... What’s wrong with that picture? It allows them to charge interest rates that are governed by your credit score, by the very bureaus they own. I don’t know who owns this app, but hats off to them. I appreciate what they do! I love how they show me how I compare with others in my age and income groups. That alone helps you to appreciate that whatever steps you are taking to improve your credit, gives you a sense of where you are. I only wish they would grab another bureau or two to add to those score comparisons. Otherwise, bravo!
I gave them 4 stars because their scoring is tied to forces beyond their ability to control. Once they become a principal bureau, and control their ability to score based upon their ideology...I will give them 5 stars!!!

I am a subscriber to every single credit reporting agency. Have been for years. I’m a stickler about my excellent credit and like to stay on top of it. I have NEVER had a late payment. So....one day I get a notification from Wallet Hub. It says it notices I have a credit card that is missing a monthly payment. I was like hmmmm...I don’t think so, but I clicked the provided link and it told me exactly which credit card. Upon my investigation I did in fact forget to make my payment. I immediately called my credit card company and told them I guess doe to the hectic holidays I just overlooked it. They reversed the late fee and said they understood and the important thing is that it was only a day or two late. Important!: did any of the other credit reporting apps bring this to my attention? NO! Which in all honesty is something I didn’t expect. This situation could have turned out a lot worse if it was not for Wallet Hub swiftly bringing this oversight to my attention. Talk about an amazing feature???!!!! Love it!!!! Thanks guys for making Wallet Hub the absolute best at monitoring credit!!!!! 😃🙌🏻👍🏻

Now that I’m older and times are changing I started to think about my credit. I mean before I just paid for everything with cash. If I couldn’t afford it with cash then I didn’t need it or I would save up. Now you can’t get anywhere or anything without good credit. So instead of paying someone to help me fix my credit I downloaded WalletHub and I promise if you just do what WalletHub asks of you, you will fix your credit. Example, someone had activated a credit card in my name years ago and all I had to do was push a button and a couple weeks later it was removed from my records. How awesome! Now I’m proud of my credit score I’ll let you in on a little secret, WalletHub is a little addicting. Once you pass one step your ready to take Next step and then the next. Download WalletHub it will change your life. We all deserve a little help and a better life and this is all the help you’ll need.

I discovered WalletHub some time last year I believe, perhaps the year before. I like WalletHub because it updates changes that are reported daily instead of weekly. It helps me to be more proactive about my credit habits. While using WalletHub and the credit simulator, I’ve been able to grow my score from low 600s to a couple points away from 800 in less than 2 years.

The accuracy is amazing. I use the simulator several times throughout the month before making any decision regarding my credit. So far so good. I’ve never been more confident in my decisions regarding finances. It’s absolutely wonderful.

****Suggestion for the developers: I didn’t realize there was a limit on how many times you could use the simulator per month until today. This is for security reasons. And I understand that. But I’d like to be able to use it an unlimited amount of times even if it means I have to pay for that ability.

Additionally if you could make it so I could use the simulator to see how multiple changes simultaneously to multiple accounts would affect my score, I’d appreciate that as well. Would also be willing to pay for this feature if necessary.

During this last few years I have been struggling to keep up. I raised a child myself. I’m in a cheap apartment , I watch my spending. I take care of bills first . On Disability I just can’t meet my expenditures .
I worked hard my whole life and ended up disabled at 54. My employers kept me at $12-13 per hour but I enjoyed my work so I didn’t leave it. I have never been able to keep ahead of my credit. Been close a few times to getting above the home owner line. Never gotten there.
Im not getting help from family. Friends have helped They can’t anymore. Though I am still below the line. this app has been helping me to raise my score. They have my back and give me tools and info to contain bad issues and they and have FREE ACCESS to basic service. I really appreciate WalletHub.

I’ve been using this app for a few years and if you need a free app that will keep you on track of your budget and credit WalletHub is worth trying out. I’ve found it extremely helpful to keep me honest and accountable when it come to budgeting! It’s great for those of us who have no clue where to get started on improving our financial health! Check out the knowledge base between WalletHub and a few others I took my credit from laughable to excellent in 7moths! Honestly if take the time to make a plan and have the discipline to stick to it there’s no way you can fail!! It may seem impossible until you start seeing the results!!! Start small every small win will add up to a huge win! It may sound corny buts it’s completely changed my life i such a short time!! It’s free so honestly you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!!!

Absolutely the best App for credit monitoring and it is absolutely free and they have never asked me to pay or subscribe to anything! And because of the credit score simulator and daily score updates I have been able to monitor what affects an action has on my credit report from getting a credit card or loan to paying off certain types of debt and have been able to raise my credit score from 612 to 730 in about 9 months. I have credit sesame and credit karma and Wallet Hub is always the first to alert me when there is a change and always has my latest score update before the other 2 without all the nagging ads be relentless emails wanting me to subscribe or start a checking account! Not to mention credit karma is always pushing the worst possible companies!

This is one of the best, free, credit reporting apps that provides you with many ways to improve your credit and also provides both concise and informative in-depth ways to improve all credit situations. The creator of WalletHub provides consumers all the information free of charge. This shows that they aren’t out for the money; they are showing they actually care about people and their financial well-being. That’s what humanity is all about and should always be. The daily updated credit score is more than what any other credit reporting app has done for consumers. A BIG thank you is not enough to show my gratitude towards this company. I do believe there should be an option for a donation if people want to show their support towards WalletHub if they are able to. I know I would.

When a bad situation 2 years ago resulted in my bank closing my accounts and my near perfect credit score plummeted, I decided to give one of these free credit apps a try. I chose this app because of its reviews and I’m extremely pleased with that decision. The initial registration info I needed to provide was very basic and noninvasive, and as a young 20s individual who had just taken loans out for school it has been such a resource for me. The layout of WalletHub is simple and clean, and overall it really helped me see all of my debts wholly and gave me a better picture of my finances. I love the fact that I get my credit score updated monthly and the tools they offer for discovering new card options that apply to my situation. 5/5 stars - thank you guys for helping me rebuild my credit with less stress!

Just switched to a new iPhone XS Plus 3 weeks ago, and ported all my apps over. When it comes to “credit scores” this is my 4th preferred app that I use. (There are 3 better, more accurate ones available). That said, I noticed 4 “notifications” on WalletHub today and tried to login with Apples EyeScan thingy (which has always worked) but got a notice from WalletHub saying “please standby why we update your software”. Took about a minute and asked me to log back in with either the optical scan or my 4 digit pin. When I used the eye scan it just hangs there. NOTHING!!! So then hit “logout” and tried my 4 digit pin to login that way. It says my PIN number is incorrect?!? BS!!! So I don’t know how you stop it from “auto updating” but if you do you’ll probably get locked out now (OCT 3, 2018) No idea what to do - but not gonna sweat it for as already said it’s my least used credit scoring app. I may try to delete and reinstall later but will watch here and see if the developer offers any solutions. Good luck. You’ll need it.

I’ve been using this app for a while now and one thing I do like about it is that you get a email when negative information has been removed from your credit lol. Very detailed app. You can see pretty much anything you need to on it from what’s on your credit, their contact information, what your credit score would do if you paid it or disputed it. You can apply for certain credit cards that you’re more likely to get approved for so it can help your credit. Plus a lot more. Also, it doesn’t hurt your credit or go against your credit when you check it through WalletHub! I definitely recommend this app. I’ve recommended it to quite a few ppl and they’ve enjoyed it as well. :) thanks this app.

With the help of this app, I was able to improve my credit. Then, an unforeseen life event caused me to make some very poor decisions and I wound up with a repossession, 3 cell phone companies, a credit card, and then slapped with fraudulent check charges that ended up on my credit report. Did some time over that too. Don’t play with checks kids! I’ve been outta county for 6 months, still payin restitution, court costs, and public defender fees... However, with the help of this app, I’ve been able to raise my score well over 50 points, pay off my personal loan, settle 2 of my cell phone providers that used to be in collections. Thanks to this app, I was able to walk into Wells Fargo and open a real bank account and put the prepaid account to rest once and for all!

I have used WalletHub for over a year. It is an excellent tool I use to monitor my credit and keep track of anomalies that would alert me to fraudulent activity. WalletHub also serves as a reminder to be mindful of my credit score and debt to income ratios. I also read the advice sections for tips on improving my score and keeping track of my budgeting issues. Finally, WalletHub is terrific for making me aware of credit cards that may offer better rates and customer deals. I teach fraud prevention to senior citizens, and I highly recommend WalletHub to them during my classes. I highly recommend WalletHub to friends, family, and coworkers who are seeking for apps to assist them with all of the things I mentioned above.

Great free ap! You can actually use this to help keep track of your score it also helps to understand what credit cards , loans etc that can help improve your score ! It also helps you to know when your credit card usage is too high or when something that doesn't belong to you appears or an inquiry on your credit is done - you know within seconds it happened !
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ! Helps you HELP YOURSELF !!! Easy simple way to improve credit worthiness , this makes you informed , the Ap breaks everything down a easy simple way, love that it simplifies everything , from credit cards to loans, balances and best of all it gives you ways to improve your score and that improves your life !!!

I'm surprised this has remained a free app. If you need help with raising your credit score this is great, I was surprised how much they do for FREE.
The recommendations on what to do to start improving your score.
Most people have no idea where to start, so they do nothing. This will put your credit score, things your doing wrong, and even lets you know when your getting close to a due payment! And if you want to buy a car a house or a horse, it will show you what the payment will do to your score. And much more.
And of course you can see your credit score anytime. Oh, they will also alert you when there is a better rate credit card, your chances of being approved and how it will effect your score if you apply.
Can't say enough.

I’ve been using this credit app for a few years now and it has been a GAME CHANGER! I had horrible credit, my score was barely at 460 and this app helped me raise it to 597 and counting just 2 years later! I was also able to get my very first credit card from Capital One! 😍 There’s so much education in WalletHub that teaches you how to negotiate with debt collectors to find a monthly payment option that works best with your budget! These small monthly payments help build your credit quickly and efficiently. It also allows you to rename each debt account which is super helpful so that way you can identify them faster. I will never use any other credit app because this one truly has EVERYTHING!

this app does all the things! Updated balances on debts, details reports on credit history, regularly updated credit score and breakdown of what’s impacted my credit/where I can make some changes. I started working to fix my credit two years ago and with the this app app allowing me to see and access all of the important things on my report, I hit that goal much faster than I expected. I also appreciate that’s it’s not glitchy!! If you’re looking to fix your credit, view report and score - WalletHub is gold. There will be all types of ads for more credit but, that’s the price of accessing a FREE app. Rant over.

EDIT: it looks like you CAN paste in the fields. The *double-tap* to paste or bring up the context menu does not work, but *tap and hold* does. So partially user error! Not sure why you can’t double-tap like you can in other iOS text fields though.

I use a password manager, so my this app password is 32 randomly-generated characters that I don’t have memorized. this app intermittently logs me out, and I know this is gonna sound lazy, but I reaaaaaally don’t want to switch back and forth between LastPass and this app 15 times trying to keep my place in the typing of a password that can’t even be pronounced. I’ve literally stopped using this product because I have a plethora of financial and credit management apps and this is the only one that I currently have to spend a minute and a half logging in to.

If you could enable copy and pasting into the password field, that would be awesome and bring WalletHub back up to 5 stars for me. If you wanted to go above and beyond and bake support for password managers right into WalletHub , I’d be ecstatic.

Great app otherwise, this is just super annoying.

I’ve just started to use this app & I’m impressed. I started paying down my debt using a version of the snowball method & I’m already making progress. Due to advice from this app, I’m thinking of revising my payoff plan.
One suggestion for developers: please make the suggested debt payoff plans available to export to spreadsheets or available for copy & paste so we can map out our progress and plan for the future! I understand that this “flaw” may be intentional to get us to use WalletHub consistently, but I’m a planner & I’d like to see the whole thing laid out in front of me!
WalletHub is great & it’s already my new favorite credit monitoring service.

I’m not the most vigilant when it comes to finances. If I’m honest, I’m outright irresponsible when it comes to money. I rarely check my bank account (as it’s generally just a diary of poor decisions and food) so you can only imagine how much attention I give to my credit.
It’s shameful really.
But thank God for this app sending me a notification this morning about a suspicious inquiry on my report, literally within minutes of it being filed.
I was able to be proactive and remedy what ended up being fraudulent activity before it could spiral out of control.
I’ve never felt like such an adult 🤗Responsibility isn’t as bad when it’s automated.
