Just switched to a new iPhone XS Plus 3 weeks ago, and ported all my apps over. When it comes to “credit scores” this is my 4th preferred app that I use. (There are 3 better, more accurate ones available). That said, I noticed 4 “notifications” on WalletHub today and tried to login with Apples Eye... Show more Scan thingy (which has always worked) but got a notice from WalletHub saying “please standby why we update your software”. Took about a minute and asked me to log back in with either the optical scan or my 4 digit pin. When I used the eye scan it just hangs there. NOTHING!!! So then hit “logout” and tried my 4 digit pin to login that way. It says my PIN number is incorrect?!? BS!!! So I don’t know how you stop it from “auto updating” but if you do you’ll probably get locked out now (OCT 3, 2018) No idea what to do - but not gonna sweat it for as already said it’s my least used credit scoring app. I may try to delete and reinstall later but will watch here and see if the developer offers any solutions. Good luck. You’ll need it.

I feel what this app does is provide a real world interpretation of what is happening with my credit. Unfortunately, their assessments are limited by what the three main bureaus provide. Those scores are not necessarily up to date. And because of that, what you see is not an absolute representatio... Show more n of where you actually are. In other words, it’s a glorified guess! Armed with that understanding, I believe this app considers that and give a score that best represents where you are. When I learned that the three bureaus are actually owned by the companies that grant you credit... What’s wrong with that picture? It allows them to charge interest rates that are governed by your credit score, by the very bureaus they own. I don’t know who owns this app, but hats off to them. I appreciate what they do! I love how they show me how I compare with others in my age and income groups. That alone helps you to appreciate that whatever steps you are taking to improve your credit, gives you a sense of where you are. I only wish they would grab another bureau or two to add to those score comparisons. Otherwise, bravo!
I gave them 4 stars because their scoring is tied to forces beyond their ability to control. Once they become a principal bureau, and control their ability to score based upon their ideology...I will give them 5 stars!!!

EDIT: it looks like you CAN paste in the fields. The *double-tap* to paste or bring up the context menu does not work, but *tap and hold* does. So partially user error! Not sure why you can’t double-tap like you can in other iOS text fields though.

Show more assword is 32 randomly-generated characters that I don’t have memorized. this app intermittently logs me out, and I know this is gonna sound lazy, but I reaaaaaally don’t want to switch back and forth between LastPass and this app 15 times trying to keep my place in the typing of a password that can’t even be pronounced. I’ve literally stopped using this product because I have a plethora of financial and credit management apps and this is the only one that I currently have to spend a minute and a half logging in to.

If you could enable copy and pasting into the password field, that would be awesome and bring WalletHub back up to 5 stars for me. If you wanted to go above and beyond and bake support for password managers right into WalletHub , I’d be ecstatic.

Great app otherwise, this is just super annoying.

I discovered WalletHub some time last year I believe, perhaps the year before. I like WalletHub because it updates changes that are reported daily instead of weekly. It helps me to be more proactive about my credit habits. While using WalletHub and the credit simulator, I’ve been able to grow my... Show more score from low 600s to a couple points away from 800 in less than 2 years.

The accuracy is amazing. I use the simulator several times throughout the month before making any decision regarding my credit. So far so good. I’ve never been more confident in my decisions regarding finances. It’s absolutely wonderful.

****Suggestion for the developers: I didn’t realize there was a limit on how many times you could use the simulator per month until today. This is for security reasons. And I understand that. But I’d like to be able to use it an unlimited amount of times even if it means I have to pay for that ability.

Additionally if you could make it so I could use the simulator to see how multiple changes simultaneously to multiple accounts would affect my score, I’d appreciate that as well. Would also be willing to pay for this feature if necessary.

Great free ap! You can actually use this to help keep track of your score it also helps to understand what credit cards , loans etc that can help improve your score ! It also helps you to know when your credit card usage is too high or when something that doesn't belong to you appears or an inquiry... During this last few years I have been struggling to keep up. I raised a child myself. I’m in a cheap apartment , I watch my spending. I take care of bills first . On Disability I just can’t meet my expenditures .
I worked hard my whole life and ended up disabled at 54. My employers kept me ... Show more at $12-13 per hour but I enjoyed my work so I didn’t leave it. I have never been able to keep ahead of my credit. Been close a few times to getting above the home owner line. Never gotten there.
Im not getting help from family. Friends have helped They can’t anymore. Though I am still below the line. this app has been helping me to raise my score. They have my back and give me tools and info to contain bad issues and they and have FREE ACCESS to basic service. I really appreciate WalletHub.

I understand that this “flaw” may be intentional to get us to use WalletHub consistently, but I’m a planner & I’d like to see the whole thing laid out in front of me!

I am a subscriber to every single credit reporting agency. Have been for years. I’m a stickler about my excellent credit and like to stay on top of it. I have NEVER had a late payment. So....one day I get a notification from Wallet Hub. It says it notices I have a credit card that is missing a mont... Show more hly payment. I was like hmmmm...I don’t think so, but I clicked the provided link and it told me exactly which credit card. Upon my investigation I did in fact forget to make my payment. I immediately called my credit card company and told them I guess doe to the hectic holidays I just overlooked it. They reversed the late fee and said they understood and the important thing is that it was only a day or two late. Important!: did any of the other credit reporting apps bring this to my attention? NO! Which in all honesty is something I didn’t expect. This situation could have turned out a lot worse if it was not for Wallet Hub swiftly bringing this oversight to my attention. I’ve been using this credit app for a few years now and it has been a GAME CHANGER! These small monthly payments help build your credit quickly and efficiently. It also allows you to rename each debt account which is super helpful so that way you can identify them faster. I will never use any other credit app because this one truly has EVERYTHING!

I'm surprised this has remained a free app. If you need help with raising your credit score this is great, I was surprised how much they do for FREE.

And if you want to buy a car a house or a horse, it will show you what the payment will do to your score. And much more.
And of course you can see your credit score anytime. Oh, they will also alert you when there is a better rate credit card, your chances of being approved and how it will effect your score if you apply.

I’m not the most vigilant when it comes to finances. If I’m honest, I’m outright irresponsible when it comes to money. I rarely check my bank account (as it’s generally just a diary of poor decisions and food) so you can only imagine how much attention I give to my credit.

But thank God for this app sending me a notification this morning about a suspicious inquiry on my report, literally within minutes of it being filed.
I was able to be proactive and remedy what ended up being fraudulent activity before it could spiral out of control.
I’ve never felt like such an adult 🤗Responsibility isn’t as bad when it’s automated.

However, with the help of this app, I’ve been able to raise my score well over 50 points, pay off my personal loan, settle 2 of my cell phone providers that used to be in collections.
