Folioscope: Animation Network Reviews

I'm extremely surprised and beyond thrilled that we finally have some new colors to use in this program. Thank you so very much. I'm very grateful and thankful for that update.

I do still wish, though, that there was a way to hide non-animated posts when viewing animations in the social part of Folioscope. It is massively frustrating to go through so many dumb non-animations, of children drawing stupid crap that's not animated at all. I asked for this option forever ago and still have not seen it implemented unfortunately.

So, I really hope that you'll consider either moving static drawings to another section of Folioscope or at the very least put some type of indicator on them letting us know that they aren't in fact animations at all please. Then I can skip clicking on them and wasting my time. Thanks if you will consider that option, thanks again for the new colors added in this update and God bless.

Folioscope is perfect for anyone with even a spark of creativity in their hearts, to open up and express themselves through animation! Folioscope has an extremely "easy-to-learn" and "easy-to-use" animation station. Not only can you animate directly in Folioscope , but Folioscope also doubles as its own social media platform! Filled with nice, creative, people, you can share your animations/drawings with the world! Folioscope offers hours of enjoyment, and has a fantastic community to go with it.

If you like art. This is Folioscope for you! Don't pass up on this wonderful application.

If you are a fan of the pixels look of flipnote studio on the dsi, you’ve come to the right place. Very simple, yet with enough skill and talent you can create extraordinary things. However, the program is not perfect. A big complaint is that there is no sound support :,(
It’s common for most free animation apps to not have sound support, but if you want people flocking to your app, you should at least have something like that. Another is the selection tool. It does its job, but I feel as if it should be like a lasso tool instead of the square. It’s a lot easier for being more precise with your selections. Other than that, I have no complaints bug-wise about Folioscope . Just add these two things and you’ve got me hooked!

Ok, I use Folioscope a lot and it’s super cool that you can post like sketches or Instagram. It’s really simple and easy to do. But there are some things that I would like you to add. First, MORE COLORS. I know that you can mix colors using dithering but why not just add a color wheel it’s so much easier. Second, different kinds of brushes. I know you can make the brush bigger but you could add like spray paint or something else and also add a blender. It’s like a brush but it doesn’t make a color just blends the two together. So overall it’s a pretty good app and really simple and cool (besides the two things I want u devs to add)

Folioscope is amazing. The tools are simple and there's not too much brushes, etc. The only problem? THE ADS. Now, I get it, your app is free so one of the only ways to make money off it is to put in ads. BUT THERE'S WAY TOO MANY. Go in your timeline? Ad. Start to make a new animation? Ad. Simply viewing someone's post results in a ad. I would've been fine with the ads, but there's too many and it's starting to get really annoying. The only way to remove them is to pay money, which I can't do. The amount of ads are unreasonable and it makes Folioscope extremely unenjoyable and a pain to get through. Other than that, it's a great app.

I remember 3 years ago I downloaded Folioscope but never really got to experiment with it at all because I thought it was just another drawing/animation app and nothing special. To my surprise, there is a whole community surrounding Folioscope . You can comment on other animations, summit your own animations so others can see, gain followers and follow people, and etc. Of course no app is perfect and there are many things that can be improved, but I’m talking about the amazing community on here. Different people, different styles, all gathered on one app. Folioscope is truly unique.

I like its simple and easy to work with but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have issues. First off it needs more colors. I feel that instead of adding a color weal you should just have the colors:
red,red-orange,orange,orange-yellow,yellow,yellow-green,green,green-blue,blue,blue-purple,purple,purple-red,pink/magenta,cyan,brown,black,grey,and black. I now it’s a lot but I just want more colors ;-;.

It could also use the ability to rotate the canvas as well as the ability to use pictures from the user’s photo library for the profile picture would just be icing on the cake

Okay this game is really good i mean good for an animating app but other than that let’s give you reasons why. Okay this game ain’t my favorite animating app. I have 2 more animating apps. Called FlipaClip and animation desk. Personly I think flipaclip and Folioscope are really good! I don’t really like the other one but it’s good too. Also Folioscope has tuns a good stuff like as many frames as you want! It doesn’t have as much colors and that. But it has a bucket that you may fill in stuff and let’s you watch an animation when you make it! You also have tuns of other stuff! Thanks for reading my opinion! I know the developers are probably not gonna see this little review, as it is just ONE review among hundreds more, but whatever.

So it turns out I’m pretty good at animating on this lovely app, but I’ve had one issue. When I try to post something to this app, it says that I need to confirm my email, even though I’ve already created an account, and I have re-sent my email multiple times. Is this a bug? Or does it just take a ridiculous amount of time for your email to be confirmed? Am I doing this right?

I love Folioscope, the only one that I could find was free! I would love more colors, though, red blue yellow pink purple black and gray are the simple colors- I want to like have millions of choices, then there's the pixels, when I zoom in it's ALL pixels- for me it's really annoying. I also want to have a opacity option, also a lasso, it is way easier . Brush options, yes brush options! Maybe a couple more layers to? That would brighten my day if all those were added 👁👅👁

So I basically made the max limit of accounts..and I logged out of all of them and now I can’t make a new one and I need to at least log out of one of them, but I can’t when I tried all of them I can’t log in and delete it and I’m not saying Folioscope isn’t bad like if you didn’t want to have an account and just make animations it’s overall good ( and question do you have to make your account so you can unlock other colors because if you didn’t have an account it wouldn’t be helpful )

Folioscope is amazing! I recommend this to everyone. I really enjoy that you can see different peoples work and get ideas. There is a couple things i wish were in this. I wish that you could turn the canvas. You can only zoom it in and out. The second thing is, I she a lot of people swearing and saying things mean. i think that there should be a bad words filter, so that you can say swear words and stuff mean. Over all Folioscope is AMAZING and i love it.

this app is a great animating software it just got its 5.0 update so there’s a lot of new stuff to use it’s also good for pixel things and it has a lot I pixel sizes to use it’s honestly a really great app I prefer it for Any age group animators there is a community and you can get followers and as many likes I can customize your own profile picture there are a variety of colors do you use for a lot of opportunities animations hope you like it!

I have to say, Folioscope is pretty good. I usually animate on flip-a-clip but wanted to explore my choices. Therefore leading me to this app! As a beginner animator, it’s helpful to keep things simple, and that’s exactly what this is app is.

The only thing I would complain about was the onion skin. Though this may be personal, they were a bit hard to adapt to because of the colors and how well they go together.

But other than that, it was a pleasant experience!

Folioscope so great and I recommend to anyone. I do wich there was a wider color palette, and things like airbrushed, or a smudge feature.
Folioscope is fully functional, and the only ads I get can be closed very quickly and there are few of them.
Also you should add a mini game! Like drawing the picture for other people to guess, and every five wins you get a new cartoon slot! Thanks so much for making this game, and please take some of my opinions seriously. ~ kanunanichan808

I love the painting and animation style of Folioscope , but could someone please add a thing to resize selections and a choose your own color palette in a futuristic update please. Otherwise Folioscope is simply fun although taking a bit to figure out. At least all my animated pictures are stored in one place though. Could someone please add a resizer and customizable color palette to Folioscope please. I feel like these would really complete it.

I like how is simple to animate, since ive been sticking with flipaclip for a while i decided to test out this app and I like it! I also like that fact theres a community within Folioscope to share to which is nice, 1 thing i would like them to add is where you can rotate the drawing canvas any way you want, because it helps me alot when drawing/animating.

Ok so I love this, I've had it before and I had an account on it, the thing is when I try to log in to my old account it says that the password or email Is invalid, and when I try to sign in using other gmail it says that the email already exist, I’m on a different device so I have a different gmail, and when I make a new account, i can’t find out how to confirm my email address, that’s my only problem qmq

There’s so much stuff to do like you can change different colors and make anything you want and make pretty cool animations and I can draw pictures that I Magine my brain I just love the game there’s so much stuff to do and I just like it a lot l can draw my favorite things Like penguins I love penguins I draw them there’s just so much that just makes me happy thank you whoever made this game

Great app, but it needs a few things. It'd be great if you could rotate objects while using the selection tool manually (like whatever angle you want. And something like that magnetic lasso tool in adobe photoshop would be useful as well. And as another reviewer said being able to import audio into the application would be really cool. Other than that, great app. A lot of fun to play around with.
