- Nasty bug surfaced which deletes all of your accounts stored in the authenticator
- Sometimes, even with cloud backup enabled, can't restore from that backup
- LP engineers are unable to restore the data if your data is deleted from the cloud
- Settings button disappeared from the app
- Endless loop of needing to reconnect LastPass to Authenticator
- No access to financial accounts that require Authenticator for five days while a manual identity verification takes place
Authenticator tries to send SMS code: “wheel” turns, but no message. Apple iPhone.
I have had LastPass for years. I have it on my laptop and my cell phone. On my phone, on the rare occasion that I have been asked to authenticate my LastPass app on my iPhone, I have always used "Alternative Multifactor Verification." This sends an SMS code to my cell phone. For whatever reason, it is not sending an SMS code as a text message to my iPhone. Can you please help me fix this? Thanks, Chris Patterson
lastPass Authenticator message ,"error please restart the app" how does one restart the app?
The iOS LastPass Authenticator app immediate fails on startup, every time, with the message, "Error - Please restart the app." However, restarting the app only re-plays the error message. I am tempted to uninstall and reinstall the LPAuth app, but I have a lot of TFAs in there that I need to not lose. QUESTION: If I reinstall LPAuth, will it forget all my TFAs? Or are they preserved across a re-install? Hope you can help. This is a *fundamental failure* of your tech, and it's very, very disconcerting. Info: iPhone13 Pro, iOS 15.6.1
Every time I open or re-open the autheticator, a black "smoke glass" appears and closes after 1 second. Rebooting the iPhone is no solution. This problem seems to have started after the update of ios to 15.6.1 . Are there more users with these problems?
Upon launching or re-launching the app, I get the error message, "ERROR Please restart the app." Force quit and re-launching the app does not help, nor does restarting the phone. This has only happened since iOS 15.6, but I'm not sure it happened every time since 15.6.
I have the authenticator app on iphone. It never works (authentication failed - i think - is the error message so i always have to use the text message alternative.)
When I try to login to the Lastpass Authenticator app, it asks me to login to my Last Pass Account. I do that and then there is no instruction as to what to do next. Please help.
When the last pass authenticator screen on comes up on my firefox browser I can put the code in but when I press the button nothing happens. I have to relogin with the master password and then put in the authenticator code for it to work.
To make this work each time, I must click 'Having Trouble?' button then 'Send SMS text'. I did not have to do this on my old phone. When I try to login to the Lastpass Authenticator app, it asks me to login to my Last Pass Account. I do that and then there is no instruction as to what to do next. Also, Lastpass Authenticator is not an option in the Multifactor Option list. Please help.
Authenticating with the app has literally never worked. It says “authentication failed,” and you can’t even get to the alternate option of a code without force quitting the app!
I open LastPass, put in password, window opens for code and sends message to phone. My phone message reads, 'Error, Authentication Error.'
Clicking accept on the Lastpass authenticator app does nothing (iPhone XS/iOS 15.5). Have to resort to using SMS code to be able to log in.
Clicking accept on the Lastpass authenticator app does nothing (iPhone 13 Pro Max/iOS 15.5). Have to resort to using SMS code to be able to log in.
on the app I press authenticate. It comes back with a message that say error. I then have to go to my laptop and initiate a code being sent per SMS. Completely annoying and useless. Especially considering I am paying for this service.
My iPhone application just crashes on every launch with the message - "Please restart the app". Restarting doesn't solve the problem!
Authenticator app says I'm in but then last pass does not open.
Still not working! This is really poor for a paid service!!!! Unacceptable
iphone 12 pro max IOS 15.5 App just crashes on launch, message: ERROR Please restrart the app Continually happens
Crashes after IOS 15.5 update.
New iPhone, LastPass Authenticator says "Error - Please restart the app". Tried reinstalling it, but still the same error message. Still works on my old phone.
I lost my phone and restored from backup. Now the LP Authenticator will not open, says “Error - Please restart the app”. I can’t get into ANYTHING I set up for 2FA using this app.
No longer responding to touch id on appli iPhone. Tried to reload app and deleted the accounts using 2 factor. No way to restore because it was too big a pain in the ass to use 2 factor to sign in on my laptop every damn time I wanted to access my passwords. Oh well. Will find another, better authenticator to rely on.
