I have been looking for an alarm that allows for variety and volume control and I thought I found it with bedralarmclockradio... BUT after two days of working just fine, it stopped, despite no changes to the settings. Instead it sends an alert ask if I forgot to enable the alarm then sits silently while I oversleep. Unfortunately it’s impossible to tell what “enable” means. The alarm is on and set to repeat daily, bedralarmclockradio is running, and all permissions are allowed on my phone. I turned off repeat and tested it again as a one-time alarm and when it went off it said it couldn’t load the station and was going to play the background song... BUT then the station started playing and when i went to turn it off or snooze it wouldn’t register my taps so i had to press pause on the main iphone sound screen and the alarm didn’t go off again after that. An alarm just really can’t be so unreliable, guys!

I’ve seen this type of review quite a number of times. bedralarmclockradio works well for about a week then ultimately became unreliable, never able to connect to play the radio and instead plays preset music. I have great wifi and zero connectivity issues to the internet so I’m unsure of why this cannot “connect”. If you have bedralarmclockradio definitely set a regular alarm as a backup because the preset music is sometimes too soft no matter how loud I set the volume. An app that has been around for several years and people continuously have the same problems means no one is really monitoring or updating bedralarmclockradio from a developer standpoint. Such a shame because I did enjoy bedralarmclockradio when it worked!

I have tried many different so called alarm clock apps, but so far, all had a requirement for bedralarmclockradio to be in the forefront. If I would set the alarm, and then do a final email check, or end up playing a game in a bout of insomnia, I would have to remember to put bedralarmclockradio back in the foreground before going back to sleep. Not with bedralarmclockradio. It is demonstrating that one can start playing a radio station from an app running in the background. Makes all the difference.

I cannot speak highly enough about bedralarmclockradio. I requested a station they didn’t have and within several hours, they already had it up! You can listen to radio from all over the world. The whole course of your day changes when you start it by listening to NPR news or music from around the world. Without a doubt bedralarmclockradio has enhanced my life.

I love all the features bedralarmclockradio offered but it doesn’t work. I’ve tried testing it and it works fine but every time I’ve set it to wake me up, it hasn’t worked. I’ll get the short burst from the backup alarm but if that was enough to wake me up, I wouldn’t have downloaded this.
I’m so disappointed because, if it worked, this would have been a lifesaver. I see this same issue in other reviews so why isn’t it addressed? The problem could be user error, of course, but there’s no information to help me correct that.

No other app works on iOS like this. Other apps have to be in the foreground and the iPad unlocked. Bedr Radio works in the background with the screen locked!

I have one request - please include my local NPR station, “KBSX / Boise State Public Radio 91.5” located in Boise, Idaho, United States.

I’ll be more than happy to modify my rating to 5 stars when my radio station is included. Heck, I’ll even buy the $1.99 version!

App is okay, radio works well but a few streams aren’t available/don’t stream. You also need to have bedralarmclockradio running at all times for the alarm to work. Meaning if u set the alarm sometime the day before, and then fully close bedralarmclockradio (instead of just minimizing), the alarm will be disabled and it will not ring the next morning.

Love bedralarmclockradio , works great for a bedside clock and waking up to my normal morning radio show..... but that damned white bar at the bottom of the screen is absolutely brutal. We’re adults, we know where to swipe our phones to wake them up.

Get rid of it!.... then would be a five star review, but I can’t take that light anymore!

Large selection of radio stations. I love the night clock feature where you can rotate the phone to landscape orientation and adjust the dim large numbers by a swipe.

I was looking for an alarm app that woke me up to the radio. When I got bedralarmclockradio it seemed great, except it doesn't connect with a lot of stations. Maybe it's just my phone, though all but one station didn't work. If you want to get this I recommend waiting till they update it so that you can get more stations.

I used to love this alarm clock app. But the most recent update started playing audio ads at my alarms' volume - which is pretty darn loud. There's also no way to stop the ads until they're done. I could press the home key to exit bedralarmclockradio but I still need to go in to turn on/off the alarm. I don't mind silent ads but loud ads = delete.

This is the best app for a clock ever! I can choose the radio station I want and I think that if you want to wake up to the radio this is bedralarmclockradio for you!!!!😊

I use this every time for school and it always gets me up since I can listen to music and not an annoying beeping noise every morning. 5out of 5 for me!!!!

I need to have bedralarmclockradio open in order for it to actually play the alarm which is fine, but suddenly it starts playing random music every time I open it. I need my sound on the hear the radio in the morning, but I can’t sleep to this repetitive obnoxious music. Please fix

Super great if you love waking up to the radio! (Who doesn’t?). Hella intuitive, can’t imagine not having it at this point. It’s honestly my favorite app on my phone.

I can’t tell you how many mornings it didn’t go off. I always needed a second alarm clock since I was over an hour late to work the first time I got it and it never went off. It says it has a “backup alarm”- interesting. Not sure where it was the 8 or so times it never went off this month. I’m switching to another app.

bedralarmclockradio works really well. But I would prefer a better layout. Something way simpler, with bigger text maybe.

Waking up to NPR is so much better than any other alarm. It actually wakes me up and I no longer hit snooze right away.

Idk what these low ratings are doing ...it works great. Could you add a feature? I would like to unsnooze the radio when it is snoozed. Thanks!
