Video Alarm - Morning Routine Reviews

I downloaded VideoAlarm a while ago and what happened was I set the alarm added the little music video for the alarm and I just turn my phone off then it doesn’t wake me up I tried again leaving my phone on it worked fine but my phone died I would love it if I could turn my phone off so it doesn’t die and the alarm doesn’t wake me up still I would 95.9 recommend

I really do like VideoAlarm because I can play songs to wake me up, but I personally don’t like that VideoAlarm constantly crashes and glitches, making my phone overheat. I also think that they should allow users of VideoAlarm to be able to have the alarm set while also being able to do other things that aren’t in VideoAlarm . I suggest that they should try emulating the alarm on iPhones because we can set the alarm and won’t have to airy about it not turning on because we are doing something else. Overall it’s pretty good, but it can always be improved upon. Also I think that VideoAlarm should just be for waking up, but for any sort of alarms, like going to bed or as a personalized alarm of some sort. Plus they should add a stopwatch and timer for VideoAlarm too!! If you cannot read this, it’s because my phone just glitched from VideoAlarm and I’m typing but none of the letters are showing up, so sorry about that.

VideoAlarm worked perfectly the first night, but recently it has been closing itself. I’m seeing a lot of similar reviews. DO NOT RELY ON THIS TO WAKE YOU UP. The past few nights, I will set the alarm, plug my phone in, turn off Low Power Mode, turn on Do Not Disturb (I thought maybe notifications was interfering), make sure that Auto Lock is off, and leave my phone face down. I woke up on my own and realized it was an hour and a half after my expected alarm. Went to check my phone and VideoAlarm was not even open and my alarm that I had set was no longer there. ‘Tis a shame. This has happened the past few nights I’ve tried it. Seriously, do not rely on this to wake up, I missed a very important event for putting my faith in VideoAlarm’s ability to function and deliver what it promises.

I don’t know if I’m using VideoAlarm wrong but I wanted to wake up at 6 am to the song “what did I miss” from Hamilton. To make the alarm go off it needs to be plugged in and face down, which I feel is a bit much considering I don’t have an outlet in my room. I did as it said and even slept in the living room so I would have an outlet, but it never went off. I am not a heavy sleeper and wake to the smallest sounds so I know I didn’t sleep through it. I NEEDED to wake up at 6 am all week because I am in a play and in 4 days we were going to have opening night. Every day that week we were going to have an early morning rehearsal. Opening night is around the corner and if I can’t fix this tonight I’m getting a different app. Please tell me how to fix this.

I hardly ever write reviews but I really wanted to for this one! I’m a heavy sleeper and definitely not a morning person. However, I could become one considering I love waking up to some of my favorite songs bc then I start singing along. Some of the other alarm clock apps would wake me up but I’d hit snooze and go back to sleep. This one is different I actually wake up by walking around listening to the entire song. Perfect for anyone who is a heavy sleeper or not a morning/night person (depending on which shift you work)!!

Used VideoAlarm for almost 365 nights since about August 2020 and the thing works great as it says it is supposed to.
Critically, the new update seems to cancel the alarm upon receiving any sort of notification from anything else and either the backup alarm, which is the generic iPhone alarm, or no alarm at all and kicks you out of VideoAlarm . I’ve had this happen every night over the past two weeks since the update arrived, never had this happen in the last 20 months I’ve used this.
Until this is fixed, VideoAlarm does not work unless you turn off all notifications (sounds,banners, etc) for every other app you have.

VideoAlarm is amazing. It does all that it's mentioned and supposed to do. The only thing I'm liking about it is it turns your volume all the way up. I nearly had a heart attack this morning because of it. Please make it so it doesn't turn your volume all the way up and you can actually control the volume. I would love it so much more

I hit start alarm the day before and go to other apps and it hasn’t worked. The alarm doesn’t show up in the history that it went off and the instructions on how it is supposed to work aren’t clear. I paid to remove ads and it seems like for nothing. Are you supposed to set it and leave the phone alone? Most alarms work in the background but this isn’t doing anything.

VideoAlarm is amazing, annoyed at the facts I had to buy songs on iTunes to wake up to, but VideoAlarm came in clutch! The only downside is that you have to keep the phone on VideoAlarm while sleeping, and you cannot delete music alarms you already created. Also VideoAlarm is very simple and there is nothing fancy about it with themes and customizations. Non the less it does it’s job.

I performed way better than I expected it to and it is strait forward. however this is just a suggestion but I would definitely like the option to move around the saved alarms. It may exist but I don’t know how to. also if there is anyone who is trying it out I would recommend VideoAlarm but watch out for the ads

I really like VideoAlarm conceptually. I feel like more controls would be nice, and what would be exceptional is if it could integrate a ‘rising’ alarm where it slowly fades into the audio over X amount of minutes.

More importantly, the adds are basically cancer. Is there a way to pay a flat fee to get rid of the adds?

I was expecting this to have a lot of problems but it worked perfect! So much better to wake up to music I can chose from and not have to pay for. The ad after you stop the alarm can get a bit annoying but other than that it’s great!

I really enjoy putting a bunch of personalized songs on my phone to wake up to. I wake up to animal crossing at 7am, clock town 1st day, or just some relaxing tracks I found. It’s sufficiently loud, and it works well. Just make sure to leave it plugged in because it takes up a lot of the phone’s battery.

this is what I’ve been looking for since all of the alarms on my iPhone were the equivalent of holding a gun to your eardrum and pulling the trigger. They were too loud but they were also pretty basic and plain so this was exactly what i was looking for. Thank you for creating such an amazing app and keep up the awesome work!!!

VideoAlarm is great. Any song you want but the one downside is you have to keep VideoAlarm open. Isn’t it possible to have a notification make the alarm sound so you can close your phone?

I really loved VideoAlarm for a few weeks waking up to my favorite song but after a while the alarm stopped going off I wondered why and tested it out and it worked for a one minute alarm but I noticed my phone would turn off and the alarm wouldn’t sound Ben though I did everything like I did before plugged it in and everything but nothing. I don’t know if this is a bug or I’m doing something wrong but please fix it I hate being awoken to a beep.

I’ve been using VideoAlarm for a week now and it’s been awesome! It’s extremely easy to use and doesn’t have flaws like other music alarm apps have. Such as low volume or the alarm not going off at all. Waking up to music using VideoAlarm has helped me get out of bed frequently.

If you want your battery health to be 10% lower in a year then use VideoAlarm. Having your phone plugged in and on all night every night is going to make your phones battery life lower at its max capacity, this means your 100% charge is only going to be worth 95% or whatever your phone tells you in setting your battery health is. This will effect the numbers down the line, if your phone will die much faster the lower your battery health is!

Alarms are the most important thing whether it be for work or for school or whatever. You have to have alarms. It was working great and then it just stopped. Two days the alarm just didn’t go off. I did everything I was supposed to do. Phone on. Volume all the way up. Alarm on. Made sure volume was up in alarm settings. Just doesn’t go off. So I’ve missed school twice because of this stupid app. Do not recommend at all. It just doesn’t work.

I’m editing my original review because the developer was very helpful with an issue I occurred and thanks to the developer, the issue is resolved. Very helpful and VideoAlarm is pretty good and works well. I enjoy waking up to calm videos and VideoAlarm helps me do that. Thank you!

Can't save a library video alarm, so every time I have to re upload it to VideoAlarm in order to set up that same alarm. Wish I could just save it and toggle it on and off from VideoAlarm itself. Would gladly pay for that. Otherwise, everything else works.

I usually don't write reviews, but VideoAlarm is so good!!! I use it twice a day (once in the morning and once after my nap) and it has worked like a charm! Good app
