Very functional but missing batch download. Request not showing the window after every download to tip especially after I have already tipped. When downloading multiple songs, this additional dialog box is a pain.

The music studders and lags too often. It worked great before. Also, can you bring back Repeat one song over and over function and also next track/previous track function? Would also like to have thumbnails shown while a song is played in CarPlay.

Title, I guess! I would love a shuffle feature. I’ve been falling asleep to podcast and kinda wish I could get a random selection!

Tubecasts solves my problem perfectly. However, It sometimes seems to choke on large files. It has difficulty picking up where you left off, if listening to a several hours long video. If you can iron out this bug, I’ll be grateful, and I’ll up my review to 5*

Didn’t believe it works till I tried it myself! Honestly thought YT would stop any other apps that would attempt to offer this feature since they only give it for their premium users. The user interface of Tubecasts can be improved a bit but I don’t really mind it much since I won’t be spending much time in Tubecasts itself. Thank you Mr/Ms Developer!

Fantastic app for listening to YT videos from my phone without having to keep my phone unlocked. I greatly appreciate the timer feature so I can conserve battery if I listen before bed. The copy+paste method of adding videos is perfect because I can use the Apple universal keyboard to add a video I’ve come across on my laptop. Definitely recommend.

Cool app but some missing features:
- Change speed to 1.5x or 2x
- In app download and save for listening later
- Sleep time

I had been looking for something like that for a while. It does exactly what it promises. super recommend 👍🏽

Tubecasts is so easy to use. I love the fact that I can place my favorite playlists and albums I listen to in one handy place.

I love audiobooks, and I couldn’t afford audible every month, I love Tubecasts sooo muchh, keeps up with the great work, developers :3

I absolutely love Tubecasts. I can have my own personal playlist without spending gobs of time trying to download all of my favorites.

Can there be an option to increase volume please? Possibly download as well, but boost is more important.

Love Tubecasts the only problem I have is now I download all these things and can’t put them in order. Or have sub folders to put the stuff I want to hear the most.

Thank you for offering this for free for the limited time frame. I would not know how handy Tubecasts would have been had I not tried it myself.

It’s extremely convenient and just what I had been looking for. Maybe the UI could be improved a bit though, but that doesn’t necessarily bother me.

This is an extremely useful app and I can’t express how much I love it. Thank you to the developer(s)! I tried updating Tubecasts today and got a message that it was removed. That’s unfortunate because Tubecasts has very good potential.

Wonderful simple app.
I do wish they’re was an option to set that when a track is done playing the next one won’t start automatically. It would be a nice option.

It’s good idea. However, it does not work! I downloaded it today. I tried to imported some music from YouTube. It kept saying “(0) internal error, please try later”. It came same error message when I tried to play its own playlists.

Fair advertisements, great features. Buggy, but still works. Best for very long videos?

I enjoy Tubecasts .

First let me stress: this is a great idea. I have used a different background player Youtube app for music (Musi) for a long time. Not playing the video itself is a brilliant idea, since why bother to buffer the video when you’re using it for audio? I like to conserve my battery, so this is great.

But here’s my problem: I don’t like how it’s missing the option to loop a song. When I listen to music, I’ll sometimes listen to the same song on loop. It should have the option to loop or repeat a song. If it had that, this would be perfect.

Also this is a more minor complaint, it only recognizes mobile youtube links. As in for Tubecasts to recognize a link, it must be m.youtube. I find that a little weird.

...Thanks for promptly explaining, 1. How to delete an entry from Tubecasts . That works for me. However, importantly, number 2, How to delete the actual files from my device — well, that’s still a problem. Apple’s native “Files” app does *not* display the audio song file I downloaded in spite of the fact that the file is still on my device (as evidenced by being able to play the tune in airplane mode (wifi only off - no cellular). Hence it is clogging my iPad storage and the only way I know how to remove it is by deleting Tubecasts itself — not an acceptable solution for me. Also, the Apple native “photos” app did not hold the audio import that I wanted to remove either.

Otherwise, I like Tubecasts but I must decline to change the rating until and unless my concerns as stated in my original review below are fully addressed.

"Thanks for your comment. 1. If you want to delete the entry in Tubecasts , please try to swipe left over the entry. This gesture will remove the entry, but won't delete the imported file. 2. If you want to delete the imported file, please use native "Photos" or "Files" App to do it. In the future version, I will consider how to improve UI to make deleting easy to do."

Greetings Developer, Tubecasts does what is says it does but I cannot give it four or even five stars until I know how to use it, especially, how to * delete * the files that I have imported from youtube — so, what am I missing here and where is the help option??
Thanks in advance for your response which will help me to better use your app and may help others who read this to do the same. By the way, I did visit your website for help but there was no content that applied to my issues.

The only feature request I would make is that Tubecasts persists where it left off. Sometimes it loses place and it can be cumbersome retracing your progress.

Also you might want to consider replacing the skip episode buttons on the lock screen with skip backward/forward 15 seconds like Spotify does for podcasts. Anecdotally, I use that far more often than skip functionality.

My playlist plays full , great

Tubecast has been a dream come true for me! As an android fan, I had access to this type of unlimited access and ability with playlist and downloads, but when I switched to Apple I felt like it was a downgrade... It felt like Apple was BIG BROTHER, and I couldn’t listen or save songs like I had in the past. I really wanted to switch back to Android ...

I’m so glad that I found Tubecasts, now I can download music STRAIGHT from YouTube without HIDDEN FEES or IAP ...AMAZING little app...a must have for any music or movie lover!

I was skeptical that it would work with YouTube API but right out of the box I was able to play the audio from a channel I frequent without YouTube open. Would be great if the FF Rewind were customizable. I initially didn’t think they were working at all. Only 15 seconds either way. Not very efficient.

Really like Tubecasts. Works like charm.

iOS system dark mode is not as good as player dark mode so please add dark mode to Tubecasts

Very useful app for playing YouTube videos in the background like a podcast. I use it daily. A few bugs here and there, sometimes the video selected won’t switch to a new video you select, but the developers seem to be working on updates regularly. Thank you!
