Yes great idea,! But not very reliable. Your never able to keep a connection with COMDEX . With other hearing aid companies make wireless hearing aids Widex better get on the ball with this app if this is going to be their go to technology. Updated: I have emailed the company several times about the poor quality of COMDEX. They are clueless. They instruct me to go to my audiologist and have the COM-DEX checked. They are unaware or just flat out ignoring the reviews. They left me with the impression they really don't care! Although a good idea, using COMDEX on a SmartPhone is useless. Basically, the is no "sliding scale" for the volume. It woulld be nice to know where your setting is relative to full scale.

Also, the function that allows the user to adjust the direction from which sound is emitting is useless. I can tell some slight difference, but nothing dramatically different.

Finally the SmartPhone app refers to Programs. There are none offered except the one above. You would think that at least the would included those or a demo of each one.

The COM-DEX app on my iPhone makes me want to learn how to program because I am certain I could do a better job. Why does it stream music and audio from podcasts but not from most of the apps that I tried so far? The user interface is amateurish and parts do not work. I am fairly certain that my audiologist is not going to be able to help and frankly, why should she? The product should just work. Companies like Apple, Samsung and Bose (to name just 3 out of hundreds) should be allowed to compete for customers without permission from the federal government and the crony capitalistic insurance companies. What a shame!

Have to reset/reinstall COMDEX multiple times a week. HA’s will work with the phone, but COMDEX doesn’t detect them. On that rare occasion that it does, I don’t know what has happened to enable it. I would use COMDEX to increase or decrease volume and check this app battery, but most of the time it’s not working. My V.A. audiologist doesn’t have any more luck with it than me. Thankfully, my HA,s are 6 years old and the Widex contract has expired, so they’re being replaced next month with a pair of Phonaks which use Bluetooth connect but don’t require any other device, so I’m going to stop complaining.

Bluetooth connection is unreliable. Cannot figure out how to improve. Also, at times there is an annoying beeping every 20 seconds that seems to happen when the Com-Dex device is connected to phone but not iPhone app. Something Widex cannot figure out. I'm glad I have the device but wish it was more reliable. I also Widex customer service was more educated on iPhone app and Bluetooth in general.

I love my device but it only picks up video on my phone for one second and then cuts out completely. It is only a small thing but being able to listen without being on speaker is the whole point. I got 3 years from my first one and bought it again but this worked fine for two years and then an update screwed it up. Same situation with new one so the bug is in the software. For this much money, I will be looking for other options next time.

The Bluetooth device I have always connects to my phone and works great with every app except this one. It consistently losses connection with my device and I have to open and close COMDEX to get it connected. This needs fixed because it's necessary for my work!

Product is so unreliable cannot even get it to connect with new iPad Pro 3rd generation.
Works sometimes on iPhone without the beeps. Paying so much for full tech hearing aids you’d think Bluetooth should not be so hard to program for.
Will think more than twice about buying Widex heating aids again even though this is my second pair. Others have the blue tooth technology working so much better.

Starts with instructions that are woefully deficient. After that a product that doesn't perform reliably at all. To the point of not opening up to perform at all. Not sure the dealer entirely understands it... the manufacturer really wasn't much better. Advice is to shop around! There have to be better products around that actually have a hope of working well.

I have COMDEX on my iPhone but I’d like to know why it disappeared off my iPad and will not reinstall on it? It’s got that little balloon that shows where it was there before my iPad needed restored but I tapped it a few times and it retreats back to the balloon. Please get this fixed.

Hard to connect, unreliable, as others have said. One particularly annoying feature is that it mutes some of my sounds so the when my COM-DEX is connected I don't hear the sound of an incoming text

COMDEX almost never works.
It constantly says to TAP to connect but will never connect. So I have no control over volume or direction.
Fortunately the COM-DEX will ignore or bypass COMDEX and allow me to stream or answer calls directly with my phone.
Skip COMDEX . Just use the COM-DEX

COMDEX is a bit buggy. apple has lots of updates on ios and it would appear to me, it would be good for the customer to make sure their expensive gear always works. this is not the case.

I’ve used COMDEX with the iPhone 6s+ and iPhone X with equal frustration. It won’t stay connected. I’ve been told I need to delete and re-pair the device, but I’m not going to do that every time I try to use it.
Don’t waste your money.

When I try to get App to see device I need to disconnect all blue tooth devices and power cycle phone. It’s just not worth the aggravation. I can understand having to this once. Not every time.

COMDEX was bad on iPhone 6+ and now on iPhone 7+ doesn't work at all. They need to get an app that works! Widex needs to move to a better system

First, it randomly chooses to connect. Unplugging and plugging back, sometimes works. Sometimes repeat multiple times without success. Even disconnect from Bluetooth, shut down COMDEX , and restart does not assure success. Also, when it does connect, the direction function randomly works!!! How does a company write and presumably validate a program that is so flawed?

Can't even recognize my device most times. Freezes phone. Not good.

This is a horrible app and anyone looking to buy hearing aids with Bluetooth capability should not buy Widex hearing aids. It will not connect. Ever.
