Wow… I see now why RaceTrac gets such lousy reviews. I’m unable to sign in, despite repeated tries, deleting and reinstalling tge app, reaching out to support who informed me that THEY couldn’t do anything from their end (REALLY?!?) so they were going to delete the original account and I could start over. Ummm… nope. (Insert sarcastic laugh)

I tried and used my other email so I could sign in using Apple. No go. It took the info and just scrolled on and then quit, leaving me at the same screen to hit the “apply” button or whatever to have it do the same thing over and over again… just like before. NOTHING WORKS, including support. I get useless emails, which I might as well send to spam. I still have a Sheetz card from when I lived in Pittsburgh, and my app will still work as will my more than 11 year old card. I have no problem with Speedway, their app or card. I don’t have a this app card, and I sure as heck can’t use RaceTrac … and apparently the “guest” support people can’t either. It’s a real shame negative stars can’t be given.

***Update*** I took a chance and deleted app and reinstalled.....works great again. Changed from 1 Star to 4 star review. Still best app as far as gas stations go. /////. I am writing this review as a request for the developer to respond to the known issue of RaceTrac not working. It’s been this way for at least a week, I believe since latest update. I have noticed numerous responses to reviews by developer and wonder why there is not information for us to expect RaceTrac to be fixed. As a valued consumer who has had RaceTrac since it was created I have seen issues but they were fixed fairly quickly but this one is crazy. My app opens and just spins as if loading for ever. Never fully loads. Making it useless. Please fix or respond. If not my 1 star rating will stay and u will loose a faithful customer.

First off, the amount you save on gas by buying the VIP is just about nothing unless you ONLY go to this app. Or fill up a lot. Then you might save a few cents or a dollar. But really? Is a dollar even worth it?
The reason I say that is because in my case this app is always out of my way, but thought I'd try it and see what I can save. I'd need to buy 25 gallons at least to make even for the membership cost. And I only fill up around 10 gallons per week. The thought of driving out of my way to save maybe $1.50 or so over a month if I only go to this app is a waste of my time.

Now onto RaceTrac . It's always logging me out saying some sort of error and kinda makes me feel RaceTrac is pointless and thrown together in a few minutes.
Navigation is quite... odd. I'm no stranger to various different user interfaces but this one is horrible to navigate. Couldn't find the cancel option for my VIP membership which is like they don't want you to cancel.

That's not to say RaceTrac doesn't have a few good features, but the problems I encountered overshadowed those nice features.

It's an app from a gas company that should have bigger pockets to get a decent working app.

I thought it would be such a great convenience to upload my gift cards into RaceTrac on my phone. I was wrong. There are a few issues. I am not able to view the balance of my gift card on RaceTrac (which I used to be able to do before I did the update), I am not able to delete a gift card once the balance is zero, and the PIN number for the gift card isn’t located anywhere on RaceTrac , so I can’t even log into the website to find the balance. I have to call and speak to an employee. Lots of trouble to go through just to know my gift card balance. Please fix these issues so we can enjoy the gift card feature a little more.

I opened your email to update My app tried to do it. Went to Apple Store clicked on open and got no coupon for hot dog and drink. So what was I supposed to do? I don't know how else to respond and react to your email. I find it irritating when I get an offer and it does not happen.i don't know where the problem is but it was involved with your app.
I do like RaceTrac and you have been generous with your Wintastic promotion.
I am confused with the free coffee. I don't get it at the same time each day and have lost some I expected to use. I suggest they last to and renew each day at midnight .
We will all know the rules and it will end the irritation of not getting what has been promised.
If you have a better idea I am good with that too.

I have an iPhone 11 and for the most part, it works fine. The only major issue I have is that RaceTrac logs me out quick. It only keeps me logged in for about three days. Then after that I go to check out and putt up RaceTrac and I get the notification that I was logged out. There is no need for that. Or at least make to where I can choose to keep me logged in. I’ve missed a few points here and there because I didn’t have RaceTrac ready to scan because it logged me out. And with the face masks, it’s more than just using Face ID to get logged in. So good app. Just I want to stay logged in while using Face ID is difficult.

They have really improved RaceTrac from where it started. The rewards are well worth the trouble in my opinion. We spend a lot at this app so we hit the top rewards tier and I get my free coffee every day. The coupons and points purchases are good too.

Not 5 stars because sometimes my coupons or rewards don’t come off.

Also please have a way to hide cigarette coupons. They make it hard to see all the offers I actually will use. I know that you probably get good kickbacks from those but 75 cents off three packs of cigarettes isn’t enough to really motivate anyone to pick up the habit.

The best part about this app is indeed the coffee. However- RaceTrac is surprisingly clunky and not user friendly. I used to be able to stay signed in- but not any longer. I have attempted to sign in for the last two days to check my rewards balance- but all I get is the spinning cogwheel. I even uninstalled and reinstalled hoping that would work - but I still have the same issue.

Additionally- I signed up for the additional rewards program with the enticement of 10 cents off per gallon of gas. I guess I missed the fine print that you only get the 10 cents off per gallon- one time per month.

UPDATE: Don’t call your rewards “DAILY” if you’re unaware how we, as a society, demarcate “days.” I used RaceTrac on Thursday, it’s Friday, it’s been Friday for almost nine hours, why can’t I use it?

After 2 years I achieved the Sultan level and I’m supposed to get a free cup of coffee everyday. Well, apparently there’s a 24hr countdown before I can use it again. So if I get coffee at 8 am Monday, I have to wait until 8 am Tuesday to use it again. Well, life isn’t like that. Sometimes I have to be at work at 9, sometimes I have to be there at 7. So those are the days I don’t get to use RaceTrac , and even though I have “daily” rewards, I can’t use them daily.
If RaceTrac would update at a specific time, the problem would be solved. But I have zero expectation that they will do anything.

I spent a few years to become a sultan of soda, which means I am suppose to get 1 free soda coupon per day. The delivery of the coupon is inconsistent and I never know when I will get it. I haven’t used RaceTrac since Friday, which means I should have a coupon to use, right? Nope. It currently shows I do not have any coupons. I regularly send emails for help to get RaceTrac to work properly. The responses I have received in the past are: coupons will be mailed to me (I’m still waiting), and to uninstall and then reinstall RaceTrac . Really??? If it wasn’t for my sultan of soda status, I would have stopped shopping at race trac a long time ago. Please, please, please improve RaceTrac and make it better.

Yes. I have logged in and out. I do that often. Most of the time it does not work.

I love RaceTrac since I can also have a gift card on their with money so that all I have to do is have the cashier scan two barcodes. One for the points and the other for the gift card. However since the last update to RaceTrac the gift card balance does not show up at all. I have even uninstalled RaceTrac and reinstalled it and for one split second I saw where the gift card balance should be put it disappears. Please fix that small bug in RaceTrac . Other than that it’s a well built app for what it is intended to be used for.

Just a suggestion since this has happened more than once. Try testing the upgrade before doing it, it’s called “Beta testing” it’s a great idea, usually you’ll find your bugs before your client gets frustrated by your app not working. Also, consider doing upgrades at times that will least affect your customers and when your staff is ready to respond, in other words, not during the holidays when your customers are filling up, buying stuff for the road and expecting to use your app and your staff is off and can’t respond to the ongoing and repeated failures to your app upgrades. Since you’ve already experienced this before.

Whatever programmer/corporation last touched it needs to stop. I hadn’t pumped with this app in a couple of weeks recently went back with the whole gas situation and have to say not delighted. RaceTrac said I had to make a new password so I did but now. I log in but nothing loads I can’t see anything. Then I log out and it takes a couple of hours to even log back in if even possible. Literally everything was working pretty decent and now everything has gone out the door. Terrible performance and app. If this depicts anything is that the company as a whole is going in a downhill will not be going back to another location for a while might just stick to Chevron and QT now.

I get annoyed by the half dozen placeholders under the coupon section. We don’t need a whole bunch of little red advertisements telling us more coupons or coming. PS they rarely ever do and they usually aren’t all that great. Seriously I don’t need all the little red placeholders all saying the exact same thing. One would be enough if you must put them there (you shouldn’t)
I’m also not sure why there has been one coupon there for days that isn’t even valid in my state! If it’s only valid in Texas in Florida why is it showing up for me? That doesn’t seem very nice that I’m not even allowed to redeem it.
App needs polishing.

I see a lot of reviews about the Sultan of Soda tier. You don’t need the coupon, just scan your barcode and you’re good to go. Word to the wise though, it’s on a 24 hour basis. If you scan at 4:59am today, you can’t scan until 5am tomorrow for your “free fountain drink”.
I hope that helps, there’s a lot of low ratings because people don’t understand that part. And to good measure, it’s not blatantly obvious. I learned about it from the stores I go to. The managers helped me with the info.

I also see complaints about it not working inside the store when you try to add coupons / claim points. There is an easy work around for that.. just save your claims before you go inside.

Recently, I’ve had issues with RaceTrac . I deleted it, and reinstalled it, and it’s working better than ever.

Good app. Could be better. But I’m thankful.

I have more than 4000 points..I went into station to get my AM Coffee and when I opened it up RaceTrac signed me out and when I tried to sign back in it would not allow me too so I thought I put in wrong password. so i hit forgot password and it said I need to put in my email address so I did that so when I did that it said I did not have a valid email address( but it was ) so I tried to sign up to see what happened I put my email addresses in and it said this email was already in the(Paraphrasing) system. So it has been 4 days and I cannot still sign in.

You will just download RaceTrac and spend three years buying gas from this company, earning points and rewards only for them to tell you you can’t have them when you get them. They can never access the rewards you have earned at the register, making them all worthless. They then want you to pay for stuff that should be free, and tell you to contact customer service because there is nothing they can do. When you do contact them, they give you fixes that don’t fix anything. Save your time and you money and go to QT where they know how to treat their customers.

I like RaceTrac, except I don’t know my coupons I get. I have 2 days to go before it expires. How do I know a head of time what will it be. Last year, I could see the coupons for what they are, so I can be prepared which one I can redeem. On the new version of your app, it says I have to go to the store and have it scan to tell me what it is. (What is this, Secret Santa?). I will have to wait in line, every time I want to see my coupons? This is ridiculous!
Please fix this secret, and make it so everyone will see what they have for coupons, thank you.

I LOVE this app and RaceTrac has been helpful. However the updates have taken away some important features. You can’t delete coupons so if there’s ones you aren’t interested in they clog up your coupon tab. Also there’s no way to see which coupons you’ve purchased with points. Previously there was a tab so you could redeem points for coupons but you didn’t have to use them immediately. Very bad design. Please bring these features back!

When I first got RaceTrac was full of coupons, 2-for-1 offers and levels to aspire to. For MONTHS now the coupon bank is completely empty, never updated. And the higher point levels are all blank and locked...probably because the rewards have been removed and the best you can hope for is a hot dog or a cookie (!!!). Seems to have been abandoned by this app. I continue to earn points, but there’s nothing to spend them on.

Another annoying quirk — RaceTrac does not detect when you are at a this app location and instead insists that the closest this app is several miles from where you actually are. Ya’ll wrong for this!
