I love “pod” quite a bit. It’s simplicity, ease of use and intelligent design makes this app quite nice. It is really visually intuitive and appealing. However- there are glitches. The “keep in touch with the people you meet” part of the app doesn’t work. You can link contacts and add participants but you cannot do what the preview slide suggests. Pressing on a linked or added contact does nothing. I also don’t understand why there are two calendar symbols in agenda view. One is top right the other is bottom left. They both take you to “Today”. Finally, it would be nice if we were able to link not just contacts with email addresses but those with phone numbers to events. And, in the contacts section it would make sense if we were able to access all contact information. Also- linking event address/location search to our contact list would be a great addition as well.
Seems like a good calendar app, I’m mostly looking for a way to copy specific events to specific days of the week over a period of time. Like my class schedule doesn’t change for months but I don’t want to type it in over and over, same thing with my work schedule. Having that feature would be convenient because even though it doesn’t change it helps to visualize what I have going on when I have to schedule in other things. If I’m missing the way to do that my bad. Good app overall, this was my only hang up. Edit: Didn’t even think about using the repeat event every week option, oops! Thank you for the response, this will be my dedicated calendar now. A suggestion: let us set a specific date to repeat the event up until a certain date i.e. make it end the last day of classes.
I replaced my iPhone’s default calendar with this one. I really do like it. I wish there were more color themes cause I love using a calendar and would like to be able to customize it more, but my biggest complaint is that there’s not an option to gray out past dates/fade past events. It makes my calendar look hectic through the whole month. If past dates could show differently, that would be excellent. One other thing I wish is that I could see 1 month at a time instead of seeing dates from former and future months. At a glance, looking at the calendar, it’s hard for me to immediately settle on the current date since everything is just right there in your face. These are little things though, as far as functionality goes, it’s just what I need.
This is my favorite calendar app (it’s better than apple’s)!! It’s so great because right when you open the app, it shows you the week, and not the month (I think it’s overwhelming to look at the whole month, and everything you have to do). Also, you see the events of the day without having to click on the day icon first. And, it shows you have much time you have between events, and how long the events last. You can hook up the events to contacts and to locations. Also, it sends you a notification 10 minutes before the event to remind you about it. You can also program it to have a notification of the date on the corner of the app icon on the home screen of your phone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars
I have tried better than 15 various calendar/agenda apps over the years. What I’ve found each time is that I prefer the easy integration of a single app that does agenda/contacts/tasks. That said, I recently retired and question whether I still need so many functions in an agenda app. I love Pod’s appearance. It “pops” for me especially in the black mode. I could make this my one and only daily agenda app If: 1) it had a running continuous Agenda with no end, so I could scroll through any number of days hunting for events (since there are no icons, which I also miss). Fanatics Informant 5 does this very well 2) if the Agenda and Contacts were integrated, including in search results. Ex: search for John Doe and all references to him show from the Agenda and Contacts Task integration wouldn’t be necessary for my part. I have a habit of simply calendaring my tasks using a special color for all of them. Pod is a beautiful app and I’m confident changes will happen. Since I know nothing about app coding I have no concept of how hard my suggestions would be to implement or even if anyone else would want them. Thanks for your hard work bringing Pod to life!
