So Close to Being Great!

I love “pod” quite a bit. It’s simplicity, ease of use and intelligent design makes Calendar quite nice. It is really visually intuitive and appealing.
However- there are glitches. The “keep in touch with the people you meet” part of Calendar doesn’t work. You can link contacts and add participants but you cannot do what the preview slide suggests. Pressing on a linked or added contact does nothing.
I also don’t understand why there are two this app symbols in agenda view. One is top right the other is bottom left. They both take you to “Today”.
Finally, it would be nice if we were able to link not just contacts with email addresses but those with phone numbers to events. And, in the contacts section it would make sense if we were able to access all contact information. Also- linking event address/location search to our contact list would be a great addition as well.

My favorite app! Never too busy to remember anything

I’m a realtor, I have 2 kids, I’m super busy but with Calendar I get reminded about things I would never remember! The generic Apple this app sadly deletes information and notes about what you did in the past but this this app I can go back to last year and see what I had scheduled for that day. It allows you to add alerts 10 min before 30 min an hour or even a day or 2 before so I get remainder numerous times the sooner I get to an important day or time or appointment. I love Calendar it’s really a life saver. Anytime someone tells me to call them in a month or 2 about possibly selling their house the first thing I do is I add it on here. And something I would’ve never remembered I was able to do so thankful for Calendar!!!! 10 stars if it was available.

Seems good

Seems like a good this app app, I’m mostly looking for a way to copy specific events to specific days of the week over a period of time. Like my class schedule doesn’t change for months but I don’t want to type it in over and over, same thing with my work schedule. Having that feature would be convenient because even though it doesn’t change it helps to visualize what I have going on when I have to schedule in other things. If I’m missing the way to do that my bad.

Good app overall, this was my only hang up.

Edit: Didn’t even think about using the repeat event every week option, oops! Thank you for the response, this will be my dedicated this app now. A suggestion: let us set a specific date to repeat the event up until a certain date i.e. make it end the last day of classes.

Pretty enjoyable

I replaced my iPhone’s default this app with this one. I really do like it. I wish there were more color themes cause I love using a this app and would like to be able to customize it more, but my biggest complaint is that there’s not an option to gray out past dates/fade past events. It makes my this app look hectic through the whole month. If past dates could show differently, that would be excellent.
One other thing I wish is that I could see 1 month at a time instead of seeing dates from former and future months. At a glance, looking at the this app, it’s hard for me to immediately settle on the current date since everything is just right there in your face. These are little things though, as far as functionality goes, it’s just what I need.

A Wish upon a star

I am so in love with Calendar, in fact it’s the best over known. Very organized, colorful, the only problem I’m having is the location. I’ve been waiting for an update...but hopefully soon! I don’t want to get rid of Calendar I’ve had it for over 4 years! But for some reason , it seems to has been hiding from me for about 2 1/2 years. Maybe , there isn’t going to be an update and I need to lol into a new app. I’ve been waiting to put my wedding day on my this app too...I’ll give some more time and see if he comes forward or not. I love u to the moon and back! I’m not perfect but neither are u. I’ve been waiting to start this thing you called life, bc I’m so ready to be ur wife! I’m sorry for pain I’ve caused.

Love it!

This is my favorite this app app (it’s better than apple’s)!! It’s so great because right when you open Calendar , it shows you the week, and not the month (I think it’s overwhelming to look at the whole month, and everything you have to do). Also, you see the events of the day without having to click on the day icon first. And, it shows you have much time you have between events, and how long the events last. You can hook up the events to contacts and to locations. Also, it sends you a notification 10 minutes before the event to remind you about it. You can also program it to have a notification of the date on the corner of Calendar icon on the home screen of your phone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars

Pod does what it says

I have tried better than 15 various this app/agenda apps over the years. What I’ve found each time is that I prefer the easy integration of a single app that does agenda/contacts/tasks. That said, I recently retired and question whether I still need so many functions in an agenda app.

I love Pod’s appearance. It “pops” for me especially in the black mode. I could make this my one and only daily agenda app If:

1) it had a running continuous Agenda with no end, so I could scroll through any number of days hunting for events (since there are no icons, which I also miss). Fanatics Informant 5 does this very well

2) if the Agenda and Contacts were integrated, including in search results. Ex: search for John Doe and all references to him show from the Agenda and Contacts

Task integration wouldn’t be necessary for my part. I have a habit of simply calendaring my tasks using a special color for all of them.

Pod is a beautiful app and I’m confident changes will happen. Since I know nothing about app coding I have no concept of how hard my suggestions would be to implement or even if anyone else would want them.

Thanks for your hard work bringing Pod to life!

Love this Calendar!

Been using Calendar’s interface for my this app and I haven’t gone back to the original this app that comes from Apple for over almost two years now. Such a clean look & such a great way to organize. If it had the changing dates on Calendar face like how Apple’s does, I wouldn’t even have the Apple’s this app on my phone! Thank you MyCalendar for doing what you do! ( You guys are already so far above your competition, in my opinion, that no one can touch you guys. What would enhance things even more so would to have the ability to turn your phone sideways to look at that same Monthly view you already have available!! 😍. Again, Thank you for all you do!!)

Best Calendar by Far

Original review - Outdated: See update below

This is by far my favorite this app app. The interface is amazing! I love how you can view the this app up top and the day selected show right below. And it has DARK MODE!!! And did I mention full features with NO ads and NO in app purchases? I wouldn’t mind paying for Calendar or donating to support the developers though. Love Calendar ; keep up the good work!

Edit:
After updates it is just as bad as all the other apps. Now there is a white ad banner in dark mode that really takes away from the visual appeal. I would pay a one time fee to remove ads or buy Calendar , but you have to buy a subscription! This is a nice simple this app app and is not an ongoing “service” that should require a subscription. It has become a money grab.

Edit:
I am giving Calendar 5 stars again because the white ad banner disappeared in dark mode. All ads seemed to have stopped appearing. It looks like I have been given the pro features promised for original users, but it doesn’t say I have pro; I don’t know what that’s about, but everything works great. Anyways, fantastic app!

Most comfortable calendar

I was very uncomfortable with the this app app the ios provides. It didn't seem intuitive or helpful for me. I tried out several this app apps and this was the best by far and suited my everyday needs (which are very basic). The feature that was most important to me was the tags/calendars and the colors showing up on the monthly this app view. I've been using it for almost 7 months now and so far don't see any hint of a reason to find another app. It links up with my Mac, so all dates inputted here show up there, too. Also, discovered that the clock changes to time zone and 24/12 hour clock per settings on your phone.

Thank you for a brilliant calendar!!!

I've checked out a TON of calendars for grad school, because I'm finally admitting to myself that I need to use one. Pod IS THE ONE! It works with siri, it shows my events and to-dos on one screen, I love how colorful I can make my days and months, the today widget makes it quick to use, as does the natural language input, AND it's completely accessible with VoiceOver!!! Thank you so much, developers!
If I could make one suggestion, it would be the ability to link to-dos to events. For example, adding topics to my study time, or questions I want to ask during class, or groceries while I'm shopping. The reminders work just fine, although they do make things a bit cluttered.
Keep up the amazing work!

My calendar

I just love Calendar! It sends me notifications based on my settings, and for the day each morning. It links with the factory installed this app where I would enter my appts, so there’s no need for double entering, and no need to check this app daily to keep track of commitments. It will remind you, according to what you set in this app, a day or two before the appt you made for six months in the future.
If you’re a busy mom, kids in varied activities, you absolutely need Calendar! If, like me, you just need to remember where you agreed, or need, to be on a given day, you need Calendar too!
I rarely rate apps, but this one has been so helpful to me, I must say; thanks Apple!

Better views, more intuitive but not without quirks

So far I like this this app better than what came with my iPhone. The different views are more intuitive. I’m a huge color coder and I’m still having issues color coding my this app entries how I want to. I think it’s just a matter of not knowing how. Which now that I mention it, I don’t see a Help category in the menus. Also, it would be an improvement if you could change your this app view from daily to weekly to monthly all from the main screen rather than having to click on the main menu to select. I’m all about reducing my number of “clicks”. I do appreciate the option to change my background color to a medium or dark rather than just the light background only. Much easier on my eyes.

Simple and very affective

I love Calendar as it ties this app and tasks/todo lists into one. Things I would like to see more of more utility and ease of use:
When the identifying sending an email to recipients of this event, our task allows it to be scheduled when it should be sent; while making the event, you do not want to send the email at that time.
Please, please get rid of the most horrible nonintuitive method of putting and date or time into an event or task designed by Apple’s Dev group!
“The Hamster Wheel Dial”! This is the worst way of entering time or dates. Apple is removing this format slowly from many of its native Apps.
On this app allow the ability to see the week number of the year. Give the 2-3 ways of allowing to identify the actual starting of the first week of the year.
When the task or event is done, allow it to stay present but instead of just a checkmark in the finished box, show a line crossing out all the typing text of that task or event. It better shows the completion of that item yet allows you to know it was done.
That’s all for now I am sure to show other items to champion this wonderful app!

Not so good as I though it would be.

I was so close to keep Calendar, everything is good except I can't tell which this app is which since they are showing the same colors I got 4 only one is showing yellow when the rest is showing red, these are clearly color coded in the default app, and I know I can choose other colors in the options but I already custom my colors. This should have never been a problem and since I only got 3 days to try I will not know if you guys fix this or no lt. I was really looking forward for this to work out but my the time and if I do get a reply it will be too late. Guys with ios 14 you got to up your game as more and more apps are giving better custom options. For this price there are cheaper options that does more.

My favorite task and calendar so far

I’ve tried so many free and paid ones. I like how easy it is to use, the month view and how it actually syncs with iPhone this app and reminders.

I do need a home screen widget and to be able to add a reminder without an alert time not show up at midnight. I would prefer it at the top of the screen with the all day events. It would be nice if I could add reminders to be stored in an inbox for when there isn’t a due date for it yet. Right now I have to use the iPhone reminder app to keep those lists and tasks, otherwise it shows up in today, and I’m trying to stick with only a few tasks per day. I end up feeling the need to complete it that day.

Thank you for this really simple to use and clean looking this app and task app!!

The frustrating thing is that when I check off a completed task, it doesn’t do a checkmark. I keep pressing the box and then end up with the task completed 5 times. The other thing with repeated tasks, when I click on that task, it shows as “never” repeat. Some of my tasks don’t show up in the search window.

Lifesaver

I know finding a good this app app doesn’t seem that difficult, but I had so much trouble until I found this one. It is a lifesaver; I couldn’t function at work without it. It features a simple, intuitive interface that many other apps lack. I like that you can easily pull the screen down to view the full months’ events, and it also shows how busy your day is in a quick bar visual. My only request is that I would like to be able to make specific events custom colors, so I can identify special things more easily. The color coding by this app really helps my work life balance as well!

Almost fantastic

I really dig Calendar — even though I almost never invite contacts to events (one of Calendar ’s main features), the interface is super intuitive and makes me like it more than other third-party apps and the stock iOS app.

However, there are a couple features the stock app does well that this one could benefit from:

- Remembered events: If I start typing the name of an event I’ve had in my this app before, it should offer to fill in the details (event name, time/duration, location, this app) automatically. This is hugely helpful — entering the same data time and time again gets tiresome.

- “Time to leave” alert: The current alerts (all amounts of minutes before the event start) are minimally useful to me, as most of my events require traveling. Having Calendar check traffic and let me know when I should hit the road (and maybe being able to click through to a preferred navigation app?) would rock.

I’m so close to using this as my main this app app — I think it deserves to be that. It’s a smart, clean, well-made app, and a few feature additions like these should give it a place on my home screen.

Close to perfect

My favorite this app app by far! I love that event information shows up in month view and that it integrates with my iOS reminders. The swipe interface is intuitive and easy. It's easier to navigate than either Apple's this app app or Google this app. There are two things I would like to see in Calendar, though. I would love to be able to change the font size in the month view so I can fit more events into the view. This is my top request. Besides this, I think a week view when the phone is in landscape mode like in iOS or Google this app would be helpful, although Calendar is just fine without it.

THANK YOU you for being the best calendar app out there. I

THANK YOU you for being the best this app app out there. I loved the sunrise app before finding you guys. But they had their sunset.

Then for about a year I was stuck trying to find something that works. I tried many and all were fails!

With Pod I like that I can sync to multiple calendars. In addition, I can set multiple reminders (some apps make this feature an upgrade). Because I have ADHD, I need about 20 reminders for each appointment.

As a digital marketer, copywriter, and business coach, I make my living based on sales calls with potential clients, live streaming, podcast interviews, summit interviews, and webinars.

Without reminders I lose out on crucial business and career opportunities because of my monkey mind.

Being able to use natural language to enter in appointments is such a time saver.

The only thing I struggle with is time zones. I'm based in South African and my clients are anywhere but here in SA. But this isn't a deal breaker. Overall, Calendar is boss!

Thanks for a quality app.

Now my primary mobile calendar

Our office runs on Oulook scheduling and calendars. The Pod app not only seamlessly incorporates events from Outlook, including notes and contact data for meeting participants, but also Pod lets you easily view past and upcoming related events on a single screen. Pod also provides a direct link to further information associated with each participant, including (when available) location and title, with a direct link to LinkedIn profile information. This works even for people who are not in your Contacts list.
Pod has replace the Outlook app as my primary means of mobile this app management.

Deleting events??

Complaint: there seems to be an issue with events that have already passed. Calendar deletes previous events after a month or even a week. Even when I try to add it back, it gets deleted immediately. Is this an issue with everyone, or just my phone? I’d like to see when certain events were in case I need to reference them in the future. I’m also worried that it might delete future events without me noticing.

Praise: other than that, Calendar is visually wonderful and a fantastic upgrade from Apple’s disastrous excuse of a scheduling app. It feels very organized and clean, and I can easily create/delete events. Highly recommend.

A+ Replaced my i-phone calendar

Hate the i phone this app! Just used a hand (paper) this app before Calendar. You can see what’s on the days for the month and dont need to click each day to see whats there. Easy to use and after a day of use i had my year set for kids schedule- school/ holidays, work etc. plus i can delete us holidays that don’t apply to me where they are always there on the i-this app. Can’t say enough about how much i like Calendar. So glad they made it and i’m back to keeping everything on my phone again instead of a hand this app. Thank you!
