Etihad Airways Reviews

I rarely give feedback on app, and almost never negative, however Etihad has made me make an exception. This is by far one of the worse airline apps I’ve used (I’ve been Gold with multiple airlines so might know a thunk or two about flying). Unfortunately I fly with Etihad all the time and need to use it. Some of the issues are as follows :

1. Several times my trips don’t appear, or appear late
2. My passport details need to be entered nearly every flight, profile doesn’t save
3. I sometimes have entries for flights which have been cancelled or changed (still shows me the fight for the cancelled booking, for weeks)
4. Doesn’t update a lot of the times
5. Nobody seems to actually care what the customer goes through - as I’ve mentioned this in feedback and no response

These are just a FEW of the issues on EtihadAirways , in addition to the terrible online issues (points being claimed thrice for one flight etc), and one flight not even appearing which would have gotten me to Platinum. Anyways, this might seem futile as well, at least honest feedback.

Your app is. Not intuitive. If I am traveling why do I need to keep putting in my booking id. It keeps taking me to o line site to upload documents and makes me enter the id over and over again. Why do I need EtihadAirways if that is the case.

Customer phone service hard to get. Due to sudden ill health I needed wheelchair and could not get your cs on the phone. Your ground staff in New Delhi was not very helpful. This has been the worst exp I have had in flying. Food was great most of the host staff was good. Btw a lot of popes make a mistake when selecting meals due to insufficient desc. I am a Hindu and expected a Hindu meal to be vegetarian. To my surprise.

The Etihad website is the worse when it comes to booking via online. Every time I am processing an online booking there is an issue with website.
I call the hotline for support and they acknowledge the problem and asking me to wait for a while before the system is back.
I am always forced to change my plans because the waiting time frame end up being 24 hrs. Keep in my mind I try this booking via using my miles. Unfortunately it is always a bad experience. I am hoping that something would be done towards your Etihad guest online booking.

App lacks many features and the GUI is poor. For an iPhone app this is really a poor performance. Also, while you operate globally why is chat support only available during Dubai time? This is highly inconvenient to passengers needing urgent assistance but are in different time zone. Your phone support is almost negligible and when connected after missing the flight , the person in the other end knows very little to help! I never had such experience in using Emirates airways app or accessing their customer services chat or phone. I hope you understand these aspects and are able improvise. Thanks.

EtihadAirways kept sending me the the wrong address for the coach from Dubai Abu Dhabi, where they have moved 3 years ago. I finally found the right place which is 7 miles away from the wrong one, and the bus station has no sign anywhere on the site, and only a bus parking on a dark parking lot. What dramatic was the bus driver couldn’t find the right rout, kept detouring on the freeway for 3 hours, the usual time was only 70 minutes from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. Almost missed our flight, boarded on the last minute and the airline staff didn’t know the bus delay and kept threatening us to leave us if we couldn’t finish paperwork on time. Very dis functional.

This is a great App and easy to use. Casablanca destination cannot be chosen as a start city so you need to check that. Also, it would be nice if you can add the feature of booking flights using miles, and also upgrading your flight.

Everything about EtihadAirways is great from the UI, checking the miles and adding your booked trip to Apple wallet. But I'm still missing the ability to book a ticket using my miles and I can't access my account and check or update my information. I think the developer should consider these requests

Wow. Shocked. EtihadAirways is appalling.

I just spent 20plus minutes trying to do basic things and it crashes or refuses to accept data.

Really frustrating intro to Etihad.

1. App crashed trying to join. I ended up going to EtihadAirways to login having been through 3 layers of security and email validation just to get a website crash message

2. Couldn’t change my seats. EtihadAirways locked me into a loop asking for excess baggage that I couldn’t exit without losing my seat change

3. App demanded my home address and address while staying in The US. They are the same thing as I live in the US! it would not accept any entry in the visiting address and my flight is from the IS so why even ask me?

So now I can’t even check in... I gave up using EtihadAirways and hope my Etihad experience is not like EtihadAirways - frustrating and time wasting.

I selected my seats yesterday and then pressed the done button on the top left, which means that I am done with the checking. I didn’t realized EtihadAirways has one more done button at the bottom which I could see a day after realizing that app didn’t picked up my checking on pressing top left done button. Today I have flight and I didn’t see the seat I selected a day before. Didn’t understand the utility of having done button two times. Need to be developed more rationally.

EtihadAirways is terrible and not user friendly at all, it never shows individual dates selection when you select round trip, rather it shows some preselected outbound and return date options in a grid view. User won’t be able to choose any particular date to see the options available. Travel agency websites are fare better than etihad app/website. Their customer care is terrible, need to wait hours even in emergency cases.

I am surprised that Etihad has still not fully integrated the member account with booking tickets. In spite of using EtihadAirways when I am logged in, there is no option where I can select my name to fill in all the required fields. Also on selection of seats, the booking system does not recognize that I am a good member and wants to charge me for the seat.

If you ever want an airline that really accommodates to your changes and has great customer service , I would really recommend Etihad. Honestly one of the best customer service I’ve ever had 👍🏻👍🏻

Love EtihadAirways but its needs good quality check. I tried Multi city and you can never select the search flight button. U cannot scroll down the page to click. Cant even further to see if everything else works

I like EtihadAirways . It is getting easier and more friendly to use. One thing to note is seat selection which gets clumsy sometimes if flights are full.

Love the sleek look of EtihadAirways and adore the in-person service, but EtihadAirways leaves a lot to be desired.
Flight searches are time consuming and require a lot of manual manipulation - and you can’t search easily via partner airlines to fly Etihad where possible and partners otherwise.
Boarding passes are somehow hard to access and don’t list boarding times.
Finally - the functionality clearly exists to input a partner airline frequent flyer number but EtihadAirways won’t accept mine.
For such a high-end and otherwise impressive carrier, the tech norms found on other carriers is severely lacking.
*Moreover, this may never be published because over 10 random nicknames I just tried were all ‘taken’ ... which I’d say is incredibly unlikely.

I have a account with you guys and i fly couple of time with you then now time to reedem my points my account on review for couple month and after that its lock then i call customer service center many time finnaly they told me you have to mail us and we get back to u
So i mail them three times not evan single response from them. So finally i want to delete this apps and i swear i m not gonna suggest anyone or not gonna travel

I was in Thailand with my wife on vacation, I arrived the airport 4 hours before the flight and because they are very slow processing the bags I finished the stamp and before the flight 20 min and I arrived the gate 10 minute before gate closed and the not allowed me to get on the airplane and after a long discussion the force me to pay more 700$ to get in the next flight after 12 hr wait in the airport

There should be an option to manage the flight from EtihadAirways

It’s best airline & comfortable flights , crew is professional and so much courteous. Best app for booking. Planes are new & seats are so much comfy. Love to travel with Etihad . Prices are always economical, and so much affordable. Thanks Etihad .

Domestic Staff is very unfriendly and compare to Emirates staff very arrogant and rude . Specially with the old people who have a language problem. Etihad should offer a public complain and appreciation book , they will see the result of the full of complaint .

EtihadAirways has been developed quite significantly.

I would really appreciate it if adding the membership to apple wallet is added. It will make it very easy to check the miles accumulation.

UAE option is there but can not process through EtihadAirways , it keep getting crash.

Your mobile app is excellent: user friendly & fast response time, however your online website is very disappointing, slow & unresponsive. Thank you

EtihadAirways is so lagging when compared to other mobile app! Etihad, what tool so long to have a comprehensive mobile apps like other major airlines! When it come to loyalty program; it’s useless! You can’t book using miles! Also, it’s not possible to book with partners thru apps! We still need to call the worst call center ever! The apps needs lots of enhancements and development
