So bad

I was excited about the possibilities. But it just won’t work. Drops calls, doesn’t ring, if it rings- it’s so short you’ll miss it, and then it starts ringing at all hours to re-register. Now, it won’t even login. Junk.

I’ve had MiCollab stop working and lock up the called deskset. It completely seized the line and would not release the call (even though it still wouldn’t pass any audio). Both the cell phone and deskset had to be rebooted to restore functionality.

Don’t expect it to work. It’s just here so the salesman can say they have an app to try to compete with other vendors. They clearly don’t care about making a useable product.

Switching between devices is a pain. Soft phone is terrible for answering calls as it kicks caller to VM rather than ringing.
Handoff is sketchy from 5330 IP phone to soft phone.
So better than nothing, but not great.

Re-register problems

While MiCollab is nice for having your work phone connected to your cell, I get about six calls a day telling me to “re-register”. These calls come at all hours including the middle of the night. I have to have my ringer on. So I’m considering deleting it because of the excessive calls. And it HAS been re-registered. I’ve deleted and reinstalled MiCollab several times.

Very glitchy

It’s hard to believe an app as glitchy as this exists in the 21st century. 90% of the time, I see a message pop up in notifications only for the message to not show up in chat in MiCollab . There were countless instances in which I had to ask people to resend their message via email / call because their messages on this app are never seen on MiCollab .

App not working

MiCollab was working ok for me besides the little tricks I needed to learn it order for it to work but ever since I did this new update 3 days ago MiCollab is not working at all. I am full remote at home and have not been able to receive or dial out calls. It says there is a network issue. Someone please update MiCollab again!

When will you fix it?

All the issues that others complained are real. When do the developer wants to fix them!! Doesn’t stay open on the background, doesn’t dial from soft phone, bad connection at all times, it rings sometimes when it wants to, and many more!!

Useless - Don’t Install

I tried setting MiCollab up for my office phone number. Setup was easy but when I tested MiCollab, it doesn’t display any notification when the phone number is receiving a call. I only get a notification after I missed the call. What use is this?!?!?

Cannot figure out how to completely uninstall

Even after deleting app from all my devices and rebooting it still keeps ringing from work. Please advise. I have looked at every setting on every device and it keeps ringing. MiCollab is not too good either.

Terrible

The mute button freezes. So when I’m on a call and on mute I can’t get off mute without quitting MiCollab (leaving the call) and restarting MiCollab .

Has cost me minutes and time on some really important calls.

How does a button jam on an app? Terrible design.

Ehhhhh

Using MiCollab is easy and effective, but inconsistent when getting a calls. Sometimes it will ring. Sometimes it will not.
MiCollab use to call from the application, and showing the company number. Now, it ONLY uses the cell phone and the number associated. This is the biggest problem I have with it. Due to that not working anymore, customers often get my cell phone instead of the company number.

I can’t express this enough, anything Mitel or Micolab is garbage. Stay AWAY!

If you don’t answer before the second ring...

So, make sure you answer before the second ring, otherwise the call is gone; that is, if it rings at all. So many calls do not even ring. So, I spend most of the times calling back.

Another bug is that it goes off line, and calls go directly into voice mail. Now, when this happens, you cannot even call back. MiCollab just gives you an error message asking you to report the error via MiCollab . Then you have to call your IT department, and they ask you to reset to defaults, and send you another registration call, but still does not work. It is at this point when they report the call to the Top Gun guru center, because the problem is not MiCollab itself, but the whole MiTelLab system. So, I’m down during COVID-19 lockdown waiting for the gurus to unlock my phone, because this errors happen rarely, so I’ve learned.

So, the whole platform is not up to speed, like Zoom, which always works. Maybe they must reconsider using SS7 and becoming strictly IP phones, without using the cell network. I know one day they will get their act together, thus far the infrastructure needs a major overhaul revisiting their foundations. Perhaps I’m wrong, and it’s just MiCollab , and not MiCallab itself.

Felling frustrated and praying.

Chat feature is worthless

I had the old version of MiCollab before this new one came out, and while this version visually looks better, the chat feature is garbage. I used to receive notification when a new chat message came in, but the new app doesn’t alert you when a chat message is received nor does it receive chat messages unless you send a message out via MiCollab . If I’m away from my desk, it would be nice to know if a chat message comes in.

I contacted this app to see if they had a fix for the chat issue, and they weren’t helpful at all. I was told that they couldn’t discuss anything with me because I wasn’t the contact on my company’s account.

Mitel should republish the old version

It difficult to overstate how bad this new version is. I used the older version all the time and it worked well. This version has many glitches, it is far less user friendly, and even simple things, such as the dial pad function function poorly. It seems inexplicable because the prior version had no such deficiencies.

Mitel has been impossible to work with. This is clearly not a priority for them. Anyone that values softphone functionality should avoid buying from Mitel until they fix this.

Connecting MiCollab to my office phone has completely disabled my office phone. Clients cannot leave a voicemail for unknown reasons and when they can, it doesn't ever go to my voicemail box and I never get it. About 70% of the time it directs calls to me but when I answer, the call is always dropped. If I decline the call, its dropped for the client and they can’t leave a voicemail. I turn off MiCollab and it rings randomly in the middle of the night. DO NOT USE MiCollab AT ALL COSTS.

May work for a few but not for most

Several of my employees had this working at one time, however between upgrades it now works for none. Spent multiple visits and extended periods of time with Mitel support, totally wasted time. They finally admitted that only a few people could actually get MiCollab to work. This is one of the features that swayed my decision making in purchasing the Mitel system, totally worthless - certainly not getting my moneys worth.

Wow....this is truly horrible

If it was possible to give this less than a single star I would. Both this application and the desktop application create so much headache that I actually had to buy $100 headphones to work around the application (long story). Bottom line, you’ll have MiCollab because of your work and I’m so, so sorry.

Mostly works

MiCollab does what it is supposed to do pretty well. You can answer your desk phone on your mobile. My main problem is that the calls can be very choppy sometimes. If the call quality was more stable then it would be 5 stars.

Great app and love new look!

This version finally corrects some issues I’ve had in the past and my chats are synchronized across all devices! Love the refreshed new look!

Some bugs but step in the right direction

Mitel is finally going in the right direction. An app that matches the desktop version is awesome.

Honestly took a little to get used to, but it grows on you.

This is a really great app. Calls work well as well as chat. The menus being hidden on the side is a little strange but it is functional.

Mitel is a pain

Just like all things Mitel, MiCollab is a pain to use and support. I have come to despise Mitel as an enterprise phone system and would never use them anywhere again. They try to keep support so limited to protect their market share that they are going to push themselves into obsolescence. It’s a business model from a bygone era. Good riddance to it.

Do you even QA your product?

Every “fix” for one item breaks something else. I now get push notifications for calls but unless MiCollab is running and I miss a call, I won’t get a notification for it.

WiFi Markers

I miss the WiFi markers like the previous version had. Location services chew my battery. Please bring back the WiFi markers.

New version crashes instantly

This is completely unusable as it crashes immediately. The previous version worked fine. Please fix this ASAP.

Failure to connect to server

This last update jack everything up, I can’t log in it say retry again and when I wait a little longer it says can’t connect to server in like really.... smh

No notifications..

MiCollab is useless, it doesn’t give notifications when someone is calling. What’s the point, I’m always missing my calls.

Awful!

Worst product EVER. No clue how they stay in business. Anyways I’m sure they will be out of business soon. Don’t download this or use MiCollab it doesn’t work and is probably Russian spyware.

Bad update

Newest update broke MiCollab . Cannot connect to our Mitel system anymore. Self-deployment fails when it had previously been working.

The non-profit agency I work for chose MiCollab to connect our office phones with our mobile phones. Granted this has been my first experience using a virtual to office phone app. Use of the app has been since approximately 2018. As of today this app remains unreliable as well as constantly problematic. I would not recommend this app to any agency or individual practice.
