If it isn’t broken leave it alone

Have been on app for about two years. Never really had a problem and it covered all the information I needed to know. Tried to get on it recently. First they didn’t even have my user name. After repeated attempts, I called and they sent me a password to enter. I used my password and they didn’t even reject it as a duplicate. Today I tried again, then called and was told to go to App Store for an update. Well here I am and have no idea what I am doing and have no access to my account. Totally frustrated with no answers in sight

Bring back the old MSK app

MSKMyChart is no where near as organized and clear as the original myMSK app. It’s clunky, presents information poorly (too much noise, not enough organization) and makes it extremely difficult to contact service providers by phone or message. There are a million irrelevant and unnecessary pop ups that come to the main screen and all info is cluttered on the first page. I know this is to help with sharing of information but the original app was infinitely better.

Our mobile app is currently unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later.

We’ve been struggling to use MSKMyChart (which only worked half the time back when it was working at all) throughout treatment.

The on-site staff seems to know it’s hopelessly unreliable and suggest just using the website - but being unable to quickly communicate with doctors or check appointments due to the poor quality level of MSKMyChart and it’s services is more than just disappointing.

We gave up trying to reach technical support to find out why none of our devices could successfully login, they all get the same error - perhaps leaving a review might stir them to finally address the issue:

Our mobile app is currently unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later.
RELOAD

Please call your MSK doctor's office if you need to speak with someone right away. You can still join a telemedicine appointment. Please click the link we sent you by email or text message 2 hours before your appointment.

Big Thumbs Down to New MSK App

This new APP is awful, missing key functions, is cheesy looking & the screen is too busy to easily navigate. The prior APP was user friendly & classy looking. For example, when you get blood work done, there are big bold letters saying “abnormal” which can unnecessarily frighten cancer patients, & those results might actually be stable for some. Also the response time from my doctor’s office is wayyy off compared to the prior APP (days instead of hours). The new app doesn’t let you reschedule an appointment, only cancel one. The experience at a world class cancer center now feels like an understaffed roadside urgent care facility. This has been extremely disappointing. Big thumbs down.

A giant step backwards that endangers patients

Not sure where to begin as there’s so much wrong. MSKMyChart arbitrary removed my medication history. No indication on the mobile app that my entire medical history moved elsewhere and is not available on mobile app only on the laptop. To send a critical message to my medical team now takes six clicks whereas before it only took two. The hierarchy of information is inverse to what the majority of patients want and, more importantly, need. The development team is more interested in posting a disclaimer on EVERY message so that it absolves them of any legal responsibility rather than getting to your medical information. At least it has little drawings!

Ain’t broken don’t fix it

I have almost never had difficulty with the previous patient portal. I do not know why MSK decided to change to My Chart. Since the changeover I have not been pleased with the patient portal as I find it difficult to use and missing information previously provided. The link to payment does not work. Also in the previous portal it was easy to see which doctor ordered tests or lab work. Now it is impossible to see so that if I need to make a change I don’t know which doctor to contact. I do not like this new system and wish this had never been changed.

Another App That Continues to Get Worse

Each iteration of MSKMyChart continues to get worse and worse. The GUI used to be a lot clearer. The last upgrade just adds an extra step to see information. I am not the only one. I have shown screen shots of various versions of MSKMyChart to other programmers and the response is the same. Looks like the changes are made to justify someone’s paycheck. Other patients have also commented how bad it is.

Go back to the simple layout. Lose the excess graphics. We just need information.

Login system broken for 6 months since 3.0 update

Ever since the 3.0 update MSKMyChart has been bugged on both iPhone and iPad. Sadly there seems to be no tech support that can help resolve the issue or any way to contact developers. No response to reviews that mention the problem either.

No amount of deleting/re-installing MSKMyChart , power cycling the device, or clearing caches help. It is just an infinite loop of an error message as soon as you open MSKMyChart with a reload button that does nothing. You don’t even get a chance to login.

MSK MyChart

It’s horrible!!! While trying to send a message to my new Pain Management doctor (Dr. Rakesh), his name was not listed nor is there a search function to lookup a doctor’s name.
On the refill function, the only pharmacy listed are MSK’s Main Campus and other MSK facilities. My local pharmacy is not listed.
It lists refill information under the visits section (?).
While reading a message and trying to respond, the system locked me out to complete my response and stopped me from sending it. Then the said incoming message disappeared!
BRING BACK THE OLD PORTAL.

Bugs/constant login problems

When it works, MSKMyChart is pretty good. But my wife and I are constantly having to re-enter credentials that had been saved, or even worse with login problems. This morning, for instance, we are successfully logging in, only to be told after we are in that our “session has timed out” and being forced to start over. This is with the same credentials that worked just fine last night.

Also, MSK’s support phone line for MSKMyChart is bankers hours- no chance of speaking with a real person or even leaving a message with a problem on a weekend. Seeing as how she has an appointment question about an appointment that may or
May not be scheduled early Monday morning, that’s a real problem.

Login is tedious

FaceTime or a passcode should be deployed. It feels like I’m logging into an antiquated website and not an app. I don’t want to have to plug in that info every single time.

If you have to leave MSKMyChart for one second to check a date or reference other info, it logs you out. I understand about privacy but allowing a few minutes or letting the patient select a timeframe as do other apps regarding privacy and noting the sensitive info disclaimers as other health apps do would be preferred.

Joe Catalano

I used to get my appointments for lab and transfusion two weeks prior to the appointment date. My doctor ordered a lab work and transfusion on Monday for the following week. I hadn’t heard about my new appointment today so I found my doctor’s office and the office manager said yes I see the order was put in, but the appointment was never made. finally I was squeezed in only the appointment was made for the Koch center not Commack. I phoned finally the appointment was switched to Commack for transfusion after being set up for the transfusion. It was learned that my blood was not scheduled to be moved to Commack and I had to come back. The next day is not only inconvenient and I’m nervous but dangerous. Once again, I’m told that my appointment won’t be made until closer till the needed date and I’m very afraid the same thing is going to happen. this is not a problem with my doctor or his office. It is a problem with MyChart

Good Step, Needs Work

Having patient information at hand in an app is a great move. MSKMyChart itself could be better and comes with a handful of bugs and annoyances. For example, login credentials get “unstored” regularly, a COVID 19 message pops up EVERY SINGLE TIME you open MSKMyChart , stuff like that.

It’s not like you have any options, so download it and enjoy as best you can :) devs, hope you can make it a little better.

Navigation Suggestions

I’m relatively new to the MyMSK app.
Having access to my information, lab results and appointments is useful but the actual ease of navigation is mediocre. Type size options directly in MSKMyChart . would be helpful. We are deluged with info about COVID everywhere, less is more. Trying to change personal basic information could be simpler.

New system need improvements

Historical medical information, doctors notes, lab results etc. have not transferred. Lab result trends are not available in the phone app. Several unnecessary steps are added for multiple appointments in the same day and location.

Graphics and fonts for information displayed are not as easy and clean as was in the previous system.

New MSK MyChart

New site is very easy to view the various sections. However, when sending a message, it is very difficult to view the message as you are typing and the letter are covered by some of the information. You should try to simplify the ability to write messages.

Refill medication

The old my chart was much easier to use. I can’t get access to the medication that I need to refill. In order to refill medication that’s not on the list of medication’s in my chart. I am instructed to call the Care team. In the past, this was a simple as sending a text message and receiving a reply within 24 hours.

App working again

Update on October 10th - an app update has fixed the login problems - everything is working well again. Thank you!!!

After a year of working well MSKMyChart is suddenly broken. When launched all I get is "Our mobile app is currently unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later." Have deleted and reinstalled several times with the same result. Please fix this!!!!

Touch ID missing?

This is a great app, but Apple iOS Touch ID Login is missing from this update. It is very annoying to have to keep typing in my email and password every time it automatically logs me out. It makes no sense that this was removed. I hope this function returns on another update.

As crucial to my recovery as anything

Amazing app. Provides exactly what I need. I see that you have already fixed the Tehe-health media error message.
May I ask one small favor...
Can I receive notifications upon new messages to my inbox. Currently I only “know” via email unless I open MSKMyChart itself. I believe it holds true with most outside of appointment reminders.
More options to my Lock Screen or notifications bar would be amazing. I would love to know when my blood work results are in, an MRI or surgery report that has been posted in real time.
MSKMyChart gets “pushed” at 7:04ish am and that when the system sends out emails and such letting me know the results that really came in sometime “yesterday” are available now. Can it be done in real time please.
Telehealth visits provide a contact number
Telephone calls don’t upon opening your appointment when you are contacting the doctor.
Not all employees are listed. Not on “you” but again real time updating via Sloan itself.

May I have a way to send you this via MSKMyChart or an email address. I use MSKMyChart extensively. 2 years, 150 appointments later. It’s almost perfect. Few user end visual changes and it’ll be good.
