No Apple Health integration, won’t stay logged in for long

I was excited UH a was getting with the program with a more modern health app but this version of MyChart leaves a lot to be desired. Disappointed there’s no way to export your results into Apple’s health app, there’s a trove of information I’d love to be able to share with my other apps. Other health systems have their MyChart apps able to do that, UH has it disabled. UHMyChart is also very quick to sign me out - I have to re-authenticate and sign back in every 5 minutes; frustrating when you’re in the middle of writing a message to your provider.

My chart

It is a hard to understand how to move around to get the right info and get back to the right place to put it. But it is a little easier to understand after having to go back and forth several times to get it right.

By

My Chart Review

My Chart is a significant improvement over follow my health. Using my Chart you can view you’re test results as soon as the next day, complete with the interpretation. You can text your doctor and carry on a text discussion. These elements are not available inFollow my health.

A Great Improvement

UHMyChart is much easier to get into and works much better than anything UH has tried before. I like the simple and easy to read graphics an d find that the new trends feature and graphs are particularly helpful.

By

User friendly

None of my previous information from my other uh app came over. Also way to many reminders to read new information and it’s already been read by me. I never liked epic I stopped using my other medical records from when I lived in other states because epic is a pain for nurses and even more problems for patients. You should have kept the other one

By

5 star rating

MyChart has really assisted me in keeping track with up to date information regarding my health. Incredibly easy to use and user friendly!! I utilize MyChart all the time to communicate with my provider. Very happy. Indeed!

By

Hard to navigate

UHMyChart has lots of bugs - for example, in this review I’m writing, I can’t see the text. Also, the navigation is terrible compared to MyChart. It’s very unclear where to locate my vitals, results or doctors notes.

By

Would be good if…

UH doctors actually used the platform. They’re split between that and FollowMyHealth. I see a lot of specialists, and no one uses this. I was initially excited that UH had finally grown their app big boy pants and got MyChart like the Cleveland Clinic, but I was wrong. Have all UH doctors/departments use this, then I’ll change my review to 5 stars. This stuff is why UH gets looked down on by potential patients, aka their paying customers.

By

Last App was better

Switching to UHMyChart has been sad. I can’t communicate with my doctors until after I have a visit with them. Only some of them appear on my schedule. Some of my docs I only see once a year but can’t ask them anything in the meantime.

By

Refills

In the follow my chart app I was able to request a refill on a prescription and with the UH MyChart app I don’t see where that can be done. It was very useful to request a refill when needed. Very disappointing

By

Appointments and link d accounts

My future appointments are NOT showing up and there are no instructions on how to link accounts for my family members. There was no number to call for help that I could find and I wanted to get this set up ASAP

By

Notifications

I get messages to log in and can find nothing new when I get there.

By

Appointment

I tried to make the appointment with podiatrist, scheduled it for a virtual date in June.
I was told an email was sent to my email address. About the appointment but I never received the email now I cannot find any record of the appointment made on my chart app.

By

Slow and intermittent

I have been having a problem with UHMyChart since the start. I try to send my doctor a message and UHMyChart just stalls. I have to hit the “back” button 2-3 times before it brings up the proper messaging page.

By

Not user friendly

It is confusing and never up to date with all of your appointments
Also it does not have the gps option to the doctors office like the follow my health app did
They took something good and made it worse

By

Poor service

I have children that I’ve ask to have their information connected to my account. It has never happened nor was there any type of response to the request.

By

Things to address. I’m not receiving the Dr’s recap. My prescriptions aren’t listed.

iOS

By

It needs fingerprint entry

All the modern apps have you open with fingerprint and this doesn’t have it.

By

Cumbersome and confusing.

Cumbersome to navigate in UHMyChart. I can’t find my heart Dr. In UHMyChart and have to use a second app just to keep his appointments and information. Not really all that great!

By

Receiving messages

I have received a message to review my after visit information today, I hadn’t seen my dr or called his office, another time I received a message from an office I’ve never been to, I’m very concerned about my medical information being compromised, is this system even secure?

By

Lab work

I think it would be helpful to be able to print out the lab orders
all at once instead of individually.
It gets a bit confusing trying to do it individually, losing track of did i print that order or miss it.

By

Messaging Provider Availability

On this new app there is no way to directly send a message to your provider that I have been able to locate on the menu.
I like the option of "OPT OUT" of text messages for those who don't
have a cell phone.

By

Doctors comments after visit - Test results - office visits

Can always check when my next appointment 🤗

It is so nice to be able to see the difference between blood tests

To be able to see the comment from the doctor after visit.

Know new system was a frustrating at first all the doctors and office staff but it is so much better for the patients too. Hope it is better for the medical team as well 🤗

By

so confused

I get these alerts on my email to tell me I have an update in my chart. It links me to some my chart link that I cannot access. Then I go into my other my chart and find that there’s really nothing there for me to look at. it never shows my upcoming appointments. Sometimes I can see the results of tests so that is helpful. Otherwise I find UHMyChart. Very useless.

By

Brian Young

Big improvement, especially the results information.

By

So much trouble using this site

Have been going to my ob/gyn doctor for years
Just opened this UH app wanted to send note to my ob/gyn doctor. Said I have NO doctors listed so can’t send note. Called your hotline they too could not figure out why. Told me to call her office direct, than why have this site

By

Missing visits

Missing visit to Urgent Care from last month, missing upcoming visit later this month.

By

2 years of results lost

I had an appointment with my doctor today and my last 2 years of appointments and results were lost on the transition to this new platform. It also suggested I was a new patient when in fact I wasn’t.

By

Scheduling appts

I found it difficult to schedule follow up appts after seeing a specialist… I could pull up the visit but there was no option to schedule an appt… after searching on epic and not even finding my doctors name I ended up having to call directly to make the appt

By

Linking to another provider

I would like this to link to Western Reserve Hospital. My orthopedic doctor (Dr Jackson) and it would make it nice to have all my information in one place. Otherwise, I’m impressed with this My Chart.

By

My Chart

I love using My Chart and being able to see what all the findings my doctors have written.
Being able to see test results are so important.

By

Not functional

One of the providers on my care team is not listed. There is no way for me to add that provider, nor is there a way for me to contact tech-support. Since my provider requests that we communicate through your app, there is no way to contact him when I have an urgent need. your system does not work.

By

Mostly wonderful

It would be helpful if UHMyChart could give some indicators as to where new information is to be found; perhaps hilighting or a message in the message center as to where new information has been posted. Sometimes I feel like I’m searching the entire app when I get a text saying there is new information for me.

By

Messaging glitch

I have one doctor and can’t message him due to an IT glitch. I reported it.

I have an immediate post visit question and could have been resolved this way. I tried to call the office and received the runaround; go back to messaging. So, I have to call again and insist on speaking to someone again.

By

My Chart

I used the MyChart app. this past week for the first time to keep me informed of my ER visit as well as my stay in the hospital. Was very helpful with updates on tests, medication and other medical information. Very helpful.

Too many splash screens & slow/incomplete loading

I’m thrilled that UH finally moved to Epic. However there are several annoyances in the UH flavor of MyChart.

First, please do away with the -3- splash screens at *each* opening: first, to allow location (which is already saved by default in iOS/iPadOS settings; next, the need to click “login” to get to another page; and third, the need to click “login” for the final time to actually process the password or Face ID request to get into the chart.

UHMyChart is slow to load in general and often fails to load, particularly at one key point: upon opening the message center, there is a several second to almost full minute period during which nothing appears. Sometimes, it times it entirely fails and then reverts itself to the main page.

Further, there’s a glitch tied to the message center: it is not possible to compose a (new) message until all of the existing messages (inbox) load. Thus, users must wait—and if the inbox fails to load (as above), then it’s impossible to compose any kind of new message.

Please deploy a/more CDNs, get rid of the 3 splash screens, and fix the message center problem. There’s potential here!

Easy to communicate non emergency questions

I really like how I can ask a question and see the answer in writing, eliminating the possibility that I misheard. I also like that I don’t have to tie up the office personnel with questions that don't need immediate answers. Scheduling non urgent appointments is easy too.

By

Easy to use

I was able to easily schedule, fill out appointment paperwork, check in, and add my insurance information to make the process quick and simple to check in for my appointments.

By

I love this app!

UHMyChart is so convenient and precise. I found out some things concerning my health that I wasn’t told by the nurse or doctor. I can schedule appointments through UHMyChart, change my pharmacy and much much more!

I love UHMyChart!

By

Not great

I was in the hospital over the weekend and sent my doctor a message with questions about follow up and symptoms. I sent the message on Sinday and it is now Wednesday and have heard nothing… crickets. I left Cleveland clinic because I had heard good things about UH but now I am wondering if I made a mistake in doing so. My doctor at CCF always messaged me the same day and even CALLED me when I had a question. You’d think that if someone puts chest pain and atrial fibrillation on a message that the doctor or SOMEONE would contact them on a reasonable amount of time. Five days is u acceptable… and still NO ANSWER.

By

My Chart

I enjoy having my health data at a close range to me! I can keep up with all of my appointments and see all of my results and even take health education classes here! Very nice!

By

Great Website

I absolutely love your website. Whenever I want to see a doctor, schedule an appointment, pay a bill. It’s very easy to do with your website…!!
👍😊💙

Terrible app

UHMyChart is terrible. It sends me notices to make appointments for services and providers that I already made or have already gone to. Some of the messages disappear after reading them and you can’t go back to review them. If they are there somewhere, UHMyChart is too difficult to navigate to find them. My wife was sent a notice to get a liver bile duct biopsy. She was having breast cancer surgery and she had to argue with the doctors office that she didn’t need it. The doctor said “ you don’t need that”. Then why is it in my chart? It is the worst app. The only thing worse is that UH is cashless. During breast surgery my wife got prescription pain pills and we were required to pay for them by credit card at the time of surgery. It was 42 cents! 42 cents on my credit card! I had 42 cents in cash but they would not take it. So stupid. Whoever is making these app and payment decisions doesn’t actually use them or they would use some common sense when implementing.
Now UHMyChart wants me to put in a nickname and anything I put in is already taken no matter what ridiculous word I put in! Screw this!

By

Lots of glitches

It would be great if the links the hospital sends me for my my charts would actually open and not error out everytime. When I click them to open my charts from the email they send me it errors out so I have to hunt down what I guess they may be sending me. Also it’s weird that I can not reply to my doctors when they send me an email. South west general you could communicate through email very easily and UHMyChart does not allow responding . There a lot of issues that you would think in 2024 they would have fixed and it seems very old school to me when advanced technology is avail. I would also love it if all the bills were in one place and I could just simply pay them all at once if need be but I have to click back and x out and restart so many things just to find a bill to pay

By

Confusing!!!!

Generally I like the new UH My Chart, however, what I find confusing is that I receive information on the old platform AND new one. Some billing statements are on the old one and some on the new one.

I do not like having to monitor two platforms because something will get missed (by me). I feel the old platform needs to be disabled or at least send instructions as to what the purpose is for having both.

Love MYCHART

The new MYCHART is very easy to use and offers a lot of information.

Recently I was in Parma Hospital and MYCHART offered real time info on the doctors and nurses that were on call at that time, a timeline showing when my next tests would be and test results available hours, and in sometimes minutes, after the test was taken.

Surgery

I love the kindness and constant care and communication the entire staff provides. I’ve had three surgeries, hip (Dr. Tisdel), shoulder (Dr. Calcei) and just recently (Dr. Patel) knee) and the experience was phenomenal. I won’t consider going anywhere else but University Hospital / Medical Center. All three surgery’s were top notch A-1
Thank You doctors, nurses and staff!

Theoretically good

When it works, UHMyChart is great. I love being able to pay through UHMyChart , see all the notes and after visit summaries, and use all the features of MyChart. It’s extra helpful when you want to check something right before an appointment or at the pharmacy.

However, lately, anything I click on opens on an “internal server error,” which is a bit frustrating. Will update my star rating when this issue resolves.

Scheduling Issues

I have been trying to schedule an appointment for two days now. I received an error message to call technical support. I call tech support and they did not know what the system looks like (his words). He then suggested that I call my physician to schedule. I tried to use UHMyChart for convenience, if I have to call and leave a message to schedule this is being counterproductive.

By

I hate MyChart.

Why does it have to be so difficult to get in touch with a physician or even receive a call back?
Why must test results be entered in your chart but NO ONE has the courtesy to call you to discuss?? I have been waiting over a month for a call. I am not a physician. I need someone to call me to discuss.
I am sure there are many people like me who would love to go back to discussing your health with a physician.
University Hospitals needs to improve their quality of care.

It’s a breeze!

I recently started using the UH app, and I must say, it's been a game-changer for me. The interface is incredibly user-friendly, making navigation a breeze. One feature that stands out is the real-time patient information, which keeps me updated and informed about my health status promptly.

What truly impressed me is how easily accessible my entire medical history is within UHMyChart . Everything I need is just a tap away. Whether it's past appointments, test results, or medication details, it's all there, organized and readily available.

Overall, the UH app has simplified my healthcare experience and put me in control of my health like never before. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for convenience, efficiency, and peace of mind in managing their medical information.

Message Center

I think this part of My Chart needs revised. The Message Center will not let you leave a message to your provider or office unless they have sent you a message. The window opportunity closes within a certain time frame.
I think we as Patients or Care Givers should be able to send care questions to our providers. This would free up a lot of phone calls flooding the offices and allow patients to review messages at anytime during their work or busy days.
Please Consider this Option.
