this app is crashing often. It has already crashed twice or thrice and I’ve only been using it for 3 minutes. Last year it didn’t crash this much. I hope the developers identify the bugs.

I experienced the crashes while switching between apps while updating my child’s classroom and while generally using Konstella (and switching back from other apps). So it may be a cache issue.

My children went to different schools in the same school district . Unfortunately it was impossible to have both on Konstella . It went even worse when they changed their schools . It’s still stuck at the first choice .

This is the worst app I have ever used. It was bad when I started using it 3 years ago when my son started preK and it has steadily gotten worse and worse.
It is slow, it is clunky, it is confusing, and the search function, argument the most important part of the communications app, basically useless. You cannot search chats, cannot scroll up through chats without jumping back-and-forth in the timeline, skipping weeks of communication.
Suppose of my updates every three weeks, but I have never seen any improvements and the fact that they had to be completed in 2016. Makes me believe the company is actually defunct.

I experience issues with this application used by my son’s school for communication. At least 50% messages don’t come on time. They appear days/ weeks(!) later. I missed a lot of valuable information pertaining to my son’s education. Some messages have no body, only title and acknowledge button. Extremely frustrating!

I think it is so hard to tell!! It should be like Facebook kind a format instead of list style. And it will be nice like your one kids chat room and grade page that it shows on top of main page! Like click to your kids room!! Class dojo does way better!! It is so much clear what is going on at school and news of principal comments on Konstella than this! We are getting all kind info from email and Konstella and each grade has on site! It is so frustrating to gather all the informations! It should be all in one place!!

Downloaded because I kept getting emails about random parents chatting. Don’t care. What do I find? No setting not to be immediately notified on my phone for a chat message. How many chat apps do I have to have? I’m either chatting on Konstella or not. Konstella forces chat notifications so either I get spammed or turn off all notifications. Don’t force notification. One star.

I love the potential of Konstella but I think we aren’t using it because it’s so buggy. It just needs a better development team working on it who can just make it function better.

This could be a great communication platform, but falls a mile short from being usable. Scrolling issues, can’t select and copy text, can’t bookmark or set aside important messages, can’t open links from messages, impossible to organize messages and events

Our school has used this for one full year and starting a second. Compared to the computer version, the functionality is very limited and not real time. Neither the website or app are intuitive. I constantly need to help people navigate the sections to find information. Exchanging messages with people is unreliable. I may get a message alert but when I try to go to the conversation the most recent exchange doesn’t appear for minutes to hours. It’s a great idea in principal but not very user friendly and lacks good online help and tutorials.

I’ve been using Konstella for 4 years. I keep trying to delete messages and groups I should no longer be in, and I don’t care to see, but they all keep getting reloaded. Developers, pls fix.

Konstella has a problem uploading images. It won’t appear most of the time until you kill Konstella and restart it. Also would be great if we can get dark mode on this to be easier on the eyes.

If you see a blank screen with numbers of parents be sure to click the top right icon to get to the actual list of parents.

I like the current features very much and would like to see more incorporated to quickly identify a contact’s status and their availability, from within the left hand margin:
1. A section to add frequent contacts.
2. An indicator to show when they are actively using Konstella (or request privacy mode), away, in a meeting, commuting, sick or vacationing, etc.
3. A numerical indicator next to the contacts listed in private messages section that indicates how many people are on the thread.

Overall I like Konstella but I'd like to see if this app can program in a "Mute" button so one can selectively mute members so their post won't appear in your feed. If this function gets implemented, then you can simply mute all parents except the teacher/room parent, etc. It would be super helpful in straining out the unnecessary notifications.

Messages need Like, Love, Support, Sad buttons to show acknowledgement to messages without needing to be verbal.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this app. It has completely changed, for the better, the way our elementary school communicates with each other. We are all more well informed, know each other better, more involved, and everything in between.

To note, this app on desktop has way more functionality than Konstella . Use your computer for creating things and use Konstella for viewing things, and then you’ll be happy.

The customer service is amazing. They always respond within 1 day and have implemented many of my enhancement requests. We are in our 3rd year!

I really love Konstella as a way for our class to stay connected and info share, especially when remote schooling!

This is my grandson’s second year at Stonebridge and I really appreciate all of the information. It really facilitates communication regarding school events, sign ups and general information. Thank you for making this resource available and for all of the hard work that goes into maintaining it.

Highly recommend Konstella! I use with two different schools and it has been a huge support for families and leadership! Communication is easy and consistent. Builds relationships faster and well between parents as well as between leaders teachers and parents! Calendar is very useful including the ability to sync to different calendar programs. Carries over from year to year. Program and app Support is fantastic and responsive. Something to be aware of is try to use the full internet version once to get used to it then Konstella is easier to understand.

Our public elementary school (550 students) has used a multitude of channels for communications and it’s very confusing to know where to find the info if it’s not cross-posted. And it changes every year depending on the PTA members.

This simplifies EVERYTHING so parents get all communications in one place— even if they don’t sign up (all parent emails are private and you’ll receive info regardless if you get Konstella or not—so it’s fully inclusive!)

No need anymore to search through Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Room Rep emails, Principal newsletters, etc. It seamlessly saves updates and offers parents to connect to other parents (again, without them seeing ANY contact information). Privacy is paramount and you can chat with classes/committees/direct messages, see events, get more involved, or just see who is point person to volunteer for any school opptys.

Amazing features like setting up sign-up sheets, fundraising, PTA memberships, selling school merchandise, and more.

Our school is SO excited to have a very simple solution to finally reach all parents to create a more inclusive community that are now more easily informed and involved!
