Shopping basket

I’ll be shopping and things get removed and I only see that when I go to my cart, it’s been removed because it now says out of stock. If it’s in in my cart, no other shopper should be able to buy it until I’ve decided to buy it or not. 2 items got removed yesterday from my card, both pants. Wasn’t happy about that. It takes hours to look online and to look at everything I want to look at takes more than a few minutes, what I put in my cart should of stayed there. Removing things from my cart you lost some sales from me.

There are other sites, that actually give you a count down if you don’t buy, you can lose your items… I don’t agree with those sites doing that. I don’t want to place separate orders and pay separate shipping every time. But at least they tell you what they are doing!

I do like your clothing so I will obviously be back, plus your wedding are great prices…. But still can’t give you 5 stars… Sorry!

Wedding Registry

We had the best experience with Anthropologie and the company as a whole with our wedding registry. In the beginning, we only added items via Anthropologie , but we later also took some time to visit a store to see some things in person and they synced seamlessly when scanned in store. You are able to see as gifts have been purchased (which was exciting for us as we cancelled our shower due to Covid, and the gifts were delivered to our parents house since we travel a lot).
We had one small issue with a gift not being received but was shown as purchased. I called Customer Service who helped us get the gift resent overnight. It was absolutely such amazing service.
We encourage everyone who is wedding planning (or just anyone who loves Anthro) to use Anthropologie ! It’s so easy and convenient, and the customer service at this company is a 10/10!

Shopping Basket

I am homebound after knee surgery - enjoyed shopping the extra 50% sale - so many items to choose from - scrolling for st least 30-40 minutes - has several items in my basket - went to check out and 2 of the items in my basket were now listed at out of stock- I’m not sure that’s how you want to operate from a customer service point of view - it’s as if I were shopping in a store and had things in a basket I was carrying around as I shopped - then another customer can reach into my basket and grab whatever she wants . I was not done shopping - then when I went to check out it I couldn’t not realizing that in order to complete the check out I had to remove the items that were now out of stock from my basket - that took me about 15 minutes to figure out as I kept hitting check out and then called customer service and was on hold for an additional 10 minutes or so. My bottom line if I’m shopping and have things in my basket they should stay in there as they were in stock when I added them to purchase- my daughter and I add repeat customers - she worked in the Atlanta Lennox Mall store her senior year of college . Anthropology is a 100% favorite from Women’s apparel to furniture!

Anthropology has always been one store that I can count on for it’s unique fashion forward concepts in all areas of this unique store including furniture, bedding, lighting, dinnerware, jewelry, and books too!
This store not only has stunning and impactful widows, this innate designer, Is drawn in for textures used to create unique and unusual effects. They use color to create impactful impressions on the customers.
If you are comfortable with safe preppie styles and typical Talbots looks(yawn) may I recommend staying in your Talbot’s world. No cookie cutter or safe style here!
Only one that appreciates eclectic, unique, with whimsical touches and imagination needs to take it all in! As a jewelry designer for many years I understand and appreciate the hard work Anthropology from the top to the very nice and hard working women and men that make their stores welcoming enough to return over and over again! You won’t find exceptional customer service anywhere else except Nordstrom’s.
Anthropology buyers you are also amazing me all the time! Each time I walk in in know to excpect the unexpected. Keep up your hard work and dedication as well as your well thought out skills that makes each store a wonderful and delightful experience. Anthropology is a retail winner! Disappointed

I am so frustrated with this web site. I have been trying to make my transaction for over an hour now. I finally was able to get it thru and I will probably cancel it considering the items that I really wanted were not available by the time I could put the payment thru. Every time you press checkout it takes you to your form of payment. By the time you get back to your cart one or more items are not available and you have to remove them. Well this causes you to have to go thru the process of payment again and you end up going in circles because every time you come back to submit something is no longer available. I was so excited to find items that were on sale that I really wanted. Now I am not excited at all. I had the same problem with Urban outfitters at the beginning of the week. I canceled the order.

Some Kinks

Anthropologie is great but there are a couple things the developers need to work on. Firstly, just because an item size is sold out online it should not mean you cant check your nearby store for the sold out size. Many times when an item is sold out in my size I wanted to check my nearby store using the location feature but Anthropologie does not allow you, but when calling the store I have found that the size is actually available. Secondly, if there is going to be a “Shop the Look” feature, then it should be available for ALL outfits and actually have the correct items of the look presented. It’s frustrating to see something the designers have put together and really like it, select the shop the look feature only to find the item either not there, or completely wrong. Again I think Anthropologie is great but I really think it can be optimized if you fix those two things.

Weekly win review from Maya Belback

The first time I set foot in the Anthropology store, I was on an all time high. I love the colors and styles that they offer. I have never been disappointed on any of the choices I have made. Anthropology is the first retail store I can trust ordering online. The clothes look exactly the same as they look online and their catalog. My only suggestion to the corporate office is that I would love to see more of the merchandise that they have online, offered in their stores. Living in a remote area, I am 2.5 hours from the nearest mall. Anthropology is always my first store to visit hoping to purchase what I see online, however I rarely see those items. Hopefully in the future, that will change. Thank You!

Filter should have store availability

It’s definitely a beautiful app like the store. The issue? Like other store apps you cannot filter the availability for nearby stores in your search at least not that I can tell. So you spend one disappointment after the other finding out “not available at (insert store) “ over and over again when searching making it a prolonged and frustrating shopping experience. Sure you can buy online but what’s the point in not having the technology there like other stores if you want to visit the store that day near by & don’t wish to wait for the item to be shipped to the store, etc. And for the past year I kept finding things I wanted to buy but they would have a much later “in stock date”, sometimes up to over a month later! Why even list it? The pros? This store is quite pricey so it’s nice they offer payment installments.

Saved for Later No Longer Works

Overall I like Anthropologie. I do agree with others that it would be best for sold out items to not appear in the search, and for product descriptions to include full dimension details. My primary issue, however, is that my Saved for Later tab no longer shows content. There is a product count on the tab but when I open that tab in my cart it indicates there is nothing to show. I know I have several, larger furniture items I’ve been mulling over for awhile but unfortunately don’t have the details to quickly search to find them again. This feature broke for me two or three updates again and I keep hoping each update will resolve it, but not so far. Aside from this, i have not other issues.

Love me some Anthropologie

this app has long been my “go to” on-line retail therapy! Their wide variety of clothing, from shoes and bags to sleep and lounge ware to coats, sweaters, dress clothes and every day attire along with home goods from kitchen to high end rugs and furniture just always peaks my interest. Sure there are times, something just doesn’t work out or doesn’t fit the description but this app consistently has customer service that helps correct any issues! When COVID hit and some merchants didn’t make it I was concerned “Anthro” might be one of the slain and am very thankful it still exists! If you don’t know of it, try it out and if you feel stung or disappointed somehow, give them another chance, it was a fluke!

Always great customer service

I have been shopping at this app for many years and have never been disappointed in the way I have been treated. I always feel special when talking to any representative, whether it's on the phone, while shopping in the store, or when trying on clothes in the dressing room. Always outstanding! The clothing is superior in quality and design to most, and shopping at Anthropology is a fun experience as all that you see there is aesthetically pleasing and the ambiance in the stores is created, I believe, to generate a lovely feeling of enjoying all the beautiful pieces and finding the perfect things that are fit just for your taste and style.

More user friendly?

I love Anthro. It’s been my favorite store for about 15 years. A few changes to Anthropologie and it would be lovely.
First, give the option to move multiple items from “saved for later” at the same time. If I want to add 10 items to my cart from my saved for later, or delete multiple items, I have to do them one at a time. Can there not be an option to select several together?
Second, when I am in my cart and click on on item, it takes me to that specific item. However, when I click the back arrow, it never takes me back to my cart. It takes me to whatever item I was looking at before. Can this be fixed?

Items poorly sorted not search friendly

Anthropologie is a standard shopping app with 2 big misses. 1) items aren’t sorted or tagged properly. Search under Plus for dresses you get some items. Search under Clothing/dresses/filter by size (select plus sizes) you get different dresses. It’s like items aren’t tagged or cross referenced properly. And 2) if you do a search, filter items, click on something and try to go back to that search after clicking on an item, you can’t. It’s super frustrating. Have to start again and re filter from the top.

Otherwise it’s lovely. Photography is always beautiful and love when reviewers are allowed to post photos.

Poor customer service

I’m writing this review for a $95 blouse that I never received. I bought a blouse but there would be delays in shipping because of the pandemic, so it was stated at time of purchase. Months go by and I haven’t given it a thought because I’m a patient person. Then I realized 6 months later I never received it. I called the online customer service and someone had to talk to their manager about giving me an exchange or a refund. After waiting another 2 weeks, they tell me there is nothing they can do because the purchase was so long ago. They had all the evidence to see that they never delivered my $95 blouse. They also could see that I was a regular customer. Basically they stole my money and the online manager was rude!
After, talking to a real store manager, she made things right and gave me a refund. I decided to come back to anthropology and do most of my shopping in the store.

Love Anthropology

My latest purchase from Anthropology are the Herringbone carpenter style pants. Light weight, not a tight fitting pant and are high waisted. So comfortable, I also bought them in a light rust color. Perfect for fall. A few months ago I bought high waisted bell bottom jeans with buttons on the bottom. Fabulous jeans and a great fit. I have to admit I’m 64 and I wear a size 10 but the clothes in Anthropology fit wonderfully and make me a little younger. The costumer service in the store is hard to find anywhere else. Who else puts your name on the dressing room door. Anthropology is a little pricey, but the unique clothing and the costumer service is beyond what you find in other clothing stores.

It’s the App

I can’t even remember the last time I reviewed an app. And in the case of Anthropologie, my two stars may boil down to my being a little tech-phobic/“maladroit.”
That having been said, if I tap once that I don’t want a password saved, I shouldn’t have to tap the same button forevermore every time I open Anthropologie . And then as I’m scrolling. I’ve never had this experience with any other app. I tried turning off push notifications to see if that would fix it. Nope.
Been keen on this app almost 20 years (since high school, when the nearest store was three and a half hours away). I know I’m not unique in that. But to have a store you’ve loved for so long come at you from that angle is . . . off-putting. Might be a naive or stupid complaint, but there it is.
Not sure I’ll keep Anthropologie . Would love if there were a fix for this.

Consistently High-Quality Selection

this app has consistently been my go-to store for inspiration and for treating myself to nice things, for over 10 years. Their packaging is immaculate and they ship fast. If full-price is out of reach for me (which is often, being in and out of school for the past few years!) there is always something in their sale section that is just as special. I love that they've expanded their wellness/self-care section, though they've always had this niche market on lock, long before the wellness trend appeared on social media. Great store! And I hope and expect it to stay that way for many years to come! Xo

Awful!

How do I share a category with my friend? I want her to see the entire collection of pillows. When I click on the link in Google it takes me straight to Anthropologie and I don’t want to be in Anthropologie on my phone.

Update: Someone, a developer perhaps, responded, but clearly didn’t read my suggestion. (1) I want to be able to share an item with a friend. (2) When I try to visit this app on my phone, it automatically takes me to Anthropologie . (3) There’s no obvious way to share a link from Anthropologie to share the item. (4) this app could research the benefits of allowing customers to share items from Anthropologie (other companies implemented this marketing strategy years ago) with friends and possibly see an increase in sales. (5) Not everyone has or wants access to the internet through a device separate from their phone.

Great but need more plus options!

Finally a company is making plus size clothes that aren’t all frumpy! I love everything I have gotten that I didn’t need to return. There has been a lot of exchanges, but it’s worth it. Keep it up this app! One thing that is why there isn’t 5 stars.. if you’re going to make an item available in plus size, please make it in all color or pattern options. It takes the fun out of it when you can’t pick the colors you wear bc it’s already picked for you. And sometimes I’d buy something in every color, but I can’t bc it isn’t offered. Not fair, give me more to spend my money on please. You guys are doing plus size right!

Cancelled Orders

I have been a loyal customer for at least 10years and really like shopping at Anthro. They have good quality items, great return policy, and the people that work at my local store (Perimeter)are always helpful and pleasant. However, on multiple occasions I have had my order cancelled by Anthro. When I place an order (online or through the store) and Anthro accepts the order I do not expect a week or more to tell me the items are not in stock and that my order has been cancelled. The ‘We’re sorry we’re a bit behind’ note doesn’t cut it; it just makes me want to shop elsewhere. Especially , after it has happened several times. I accept that it can take 24 to 48 hrs. for the inventory to cycle through but 5 to 7 business days is unacceptable!

Not an improvement

The new app is a major step backwards, at least on an iPad. It is very unpleasant to browse since the useless sidebar on the left takes up about a third of the screen and on the right there are three rows of items instead of two. You can barely see what kind of item is being shown much less make out any detail.

And now the latest version is even worse. Still 6 items per page, so not much detail, and when you choose an item the left 40% is description and the photos on the right are small and CAN'T BE ENLARGED! What were they thinking!

Needs an updated system

Items out of stock after purchase. This is completely not shocking. It happens all the time and is completely annoying. For example, I tried to purchase shoes that were in my cart since the night before the start of your sale and when I went to pay for the shoes, they were out of stock. So, again you system needs to be updated. Then my earrings get canceled after purchase and I get an offer for free shipping for a purchase of $75. The offer would have been better for free shipping’s any price or maybe a substitute for the earrings.

Cancellation problem

I was so excited to get all my items after I received an email a couple days ago which says my transaction has been canceled. Really hate to have this problem again and again. No reasonable cancel my order, now I have to wait my refund even I don’t know when I can receive it.
Also, be ware. The return policy was the worst. You need to wait after a month to get your money back, somehow the amount would not correct, you had to call them and figure it out. I was a big fan of this app, I already lost my confidence to purchase anything from here.

Skin Care Buyer (Sephora VIB Rouge + more)

Love your curated Beauty selection, especially skin care. Disappointed in your lack of FULL, complete ingredient lists for your products, substituting “essential ingredients”. If a person has an allergy or sensitivity to an ingredient, or simply wants a full ingredient list, he or she must go to another site. Often, I end up purchasing from that site, rather than returning to this app, which is a shame because your curation inspired the sale. Many of your “Natural” products are about transparency, it only makes sense, in my opinion to offer full ingredient lists under your “details” for those who want and/or need the information.

Nice App, but......

The new app is a lot more user friendly and I like how it displays the different color options of the clothes, as well as alerting you when the quantity of a specific item you’re looking at is down to one or two.

The thing I hate is it won’t show my complete order history. It limits me to my past 10 orders and that’s it. Even if I change the filter, the 10 order minimum stays the same. So if I want to have access to my full order history, I have to log on to the Anthro website. It’s annoying. The old app never had this problem. PLEASE FIX!!!!

Rude Customer Service and App Glitches

The customer service at this app is blunt and rude. It makes no sense to call them at all. Anthropologie is slow. The After Pay payment function is poorly integrated and takes a long time between loads. I tried three times yesterday and this morning to place an order. When I finally was about to declare success, the amount for the order changed as the sale ended 30 seconds before I could hit the place order button after being redirected from Afterpay. It was a frustrating experience. When I called customer service to forward my complaint with tech, they were rude, matter of fact and condescending. I was going to buy the items anyway but I am no longer. They need to train their call center and fix their app.

The app automatically opens

Anthropologie automatically opens after searching for something this app related on google chrome. So for example, if I place an order at the store (so not through Anthropologie ) and I try to go to an order tracking page online, Anthropologie opens making it impossible to track my order. Anyway, Anthropologie is fine for looking at product but for managing orders or returns is lousy. In addition, the customer account through Anthropologie is separate than a customer account used in store, so orders and order history is not synced.

Need to fix buggy review submission

Noticed my score for the fit of a dress changed post-submission from ‘true to size’ to ‘runs a little small.’ Have also seen three star reviews from other customers where the content suggests it was supposed to be four or five stars, and vice versa (complaints with high scores). This suggests that it’s not human error, but a buggy review submission issue. They also need to allow more chars for reviews. Had a very hard time deleting extra characters — cursor kept wanting to overwrite words instead of letting me delete them. Otherwise Anthropologie is very aesthetically pleasing to navigate.
