Bad app and bad service….

We are a big practice in florida. We have been using Backline for a while. Everything was good until we cannot tap in the phone numbers to call back or click on the links to open them from the msgs…. We have called and called and send msgs and the response was “we were never able to do that” i we have been…. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ when u send msg if u close as soon as u sent it it sends to u too…. When a msg doesn’t go and you press resend deletes the msg…. If u press delete msg it resend the msg 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
If u take a picture from Backline and you are in a probably not good wifi/signal area it tells u sent and then msg has not and when u try to resend bye bye picture as the picture doesn’t save on ur phone for hippa compliance…. That is great but should let u know picture hasn’t been sent so u can either save it retake etc…..

Worst Update Ever!!!

More bugs than a roach motel! If you already have this app installed due not, I repeat DO NOT, install this update! You will lose all of your patient threads and information, group chats, and individual chats. Every time I login my inbox is different, sometimes no messages show, sometimes one or two, but definitely never all of them and definitely never the same ones twice. Thanks this app for making my work life extremely difficult!!!! Grrrrrrrrr

Doesn’t work

Goes to a blank screen when you click the link in your message. Blank screen. There is no way to create a log in - so I guess if you had one you can use it, but no way to create a new user or enroll. It is a garbage app. Does not work.

Simply Terrible

Unfortunately due to an decision from the organization I’m forced to use Backline. It looks like it was developed using the original iOS app developers kit. I haven’t seen an interface this bad looking since the apps on the iPhone. Also, it seems the developers have no interest in implementing features that are fairly standard in most apps such as Apple Watch support.

Buggy unreliable

I use this as a primary method of communication at my hospital. Buggy and unreliable app. Most recently hangs in PIN screen and constantly refreshes, unusable…

The latest update is horrible

You can’t see who responded to the chat from the home screen. It keeps showing that there are unread messages even though I’ve scrolled through the entire chat. Stop trying to Improve things that don’t need improving and only make things worse. If I had an option to use another app I would.

Can’t scroll; needs react function.

Difficult to scroll to earlier messages on iPhone: jumps back to the latest message after three seconds.
Would be improved with react options to acknowledge a message instead of needing to clog up the messages to acknowledge another message: see above regarding visualizing more than three messages back.
Otherwise a good app but these are fatal flaws.

Worse than others

Backline must be cheaper to use for my group than another we were using, because it isn’t as good and there can’t be another reason to use it. Crashes often. Notifications don’t go away after reading messages. Too cumbersome to start groups or manage threads. Too cumbersome to send pics or
files. There are better options.

Doesn’t scroll correctly. Still missing a dark theme.

Fair

Would REALLY like to be able to log in under multiple accounts within Backline and be able to switch back and forth without logging in and out.

Constantly logged off

When this app works, it works fine. However, I am continually logged off with no warning and therefore miss messages until i happens to open Backline and discover I’ve been logged out. Extremely annoying!

NO SIDEWAYS VIEW

PLEASE please update Backline to allow sideways use on the ipad. Would make everything easier

Telehealth during Coronavirus - Quickly

Awesome app.
Was able to get my practice up and running to see patients via video visits within 20 minutes.
The implementation is lightweight and simple and for the patient they don’t even need an app - it launches secure web session directly from the text message notification.

Also does awesome at secure communication and texting to keep things secure and complaint.

5 stars indeed in this time of need.

Awesome hipaa compliance communication

Backline is my go to for hipaa compliance conversations for either text or video / telehealth. Best telehealth app by far for iOS and Apple devices I’ve used.

This has been an easy install and a quick ramp up.

No app for the patients to install which is great! Love it!
