Bad product, bad company

I used to love HabitDailyTracker, the ui is simple and easy to navigate with little features that distract from the core purpose. But the company has the worst customer service I have ever seen. 2 weeks no response from them. I have spent over $70 on donating to them over the past year of my use of HabitDailyTracker because I love it and supported their product. The main reason I supported it was because they didn’t charge a monthly fee. Guess what they do now. The latest update took away my premium access and now is asking for a monthly fee to use use this very simple app that they have done little to update on a monthly basis. I wish I could get a refund for all the donations I have made to the developers but this is the best I can do. If I have any advice, don’t download HabitDailyTracker, there are 500 just like it that also charge a monthly subscription fee and they offer more features. This was a great app but now it is just another crappy habit tracking app. Horrible horrible people that are vile to this earth, I only wish them a hard time because they used to be my favorite.

I paid for HabitDailyTracker a while ago and now it’s asking me for more money like three times the original amount that I paid for it. I expect all the features I originally paid for including dark mode to be restored. I tried to add the widget and then HabitDailyTracker reset itself *and turned off dark mode* to start giving me messages asking for more money. I will delete HabitDailyTracker faster than you can say price gouging if my paid-for features are not restored. Hitting “restore purchase” does nothing. It brings up a screen that says my purchases have been restored, but HabitDailyTracker functionality remains at the free version.
Update: Restore purchases finally worked. However I am still annoyed with the exorbitant price increase from $12 to $40. What exactly was added to HabitDailyTracker or improved within it to justify charging $40 per year? I will probably use HabitDailyTracker for the rest of the year and then cancel. It was a perfect software, the algorithm that calculates percentage is unique from a behavioral standpoint, but I’m not sure that unique aspect is worth an extra $28 per year.
Recent bug ruined the app for me

I paid for the upgraded Habit in 2019 and I have been using it since. Honestly, it has worked perfectly for me. I love the algorithm and the simplicity. It’s satisfying to fill in your habits.
And then, out of nowhere, the tracker starts pushing me to upgrade... even though I’ve already upgraded. It’s pushing a New Years sale and the notification is persistent. When I went to restore purchases it said my purchases were restored and then... nothing. I deleted HabitDailyTracker and redownloaded it, thinking that would help. I subsequently lost all of my data, all of my habits, and all of their progress. Worse, the “restore purchase” still won’t work. I emailed support a week ago and have had no response.
It’s upsetting because Habit had become a part of my daily life and now I feel so defeated looking at it. I would love to have this resolved but with no communication from the team, I suppose I’ll start looking for a new habit tracker.
Getting greedy

by Margoth1ns
Edit: Seems like many people are having the same issue and the devs are ignoring everyone. What a scammy company I'm switching to Streaks it's better anyways it adds things to apple health and has custom icons and you can set multiple reminders. apple watch support and an updated ios14 widget.
I've had HabitDailyTracker for a long time. I loved it and I even paid for the premium. But after the newest update they decided to change the premium price and make it into a subscription type fee. It is cheap right now only 12 bucks but it shows that the original price is 40 bucks?!?! seriously that's a rip off for a habit tracker. The kicker is that since it changed the price and how you pay it took away my premium and now expects me to pay for it a second time. if they are going to take away peoples premium then they should refund them their money I feel bad for the people who just bought it only for it to be taken away.
I gave 3 stars (EDIT- Corrected to 1 star!). The premium update is disappointing and Contacting them for assistance is useless I would specifically give 1 star (or less) for that.
I had previously paid for premium before it updated to a monthly cost. After the update it removed my premium status and now each time I open HabitDailyTracker it asks about paying for premium. It says the “deal” will only last for a few days yet this has been appearing for months probably now.
I had emailed the developers about how to redeem my previous status as a premium paid app and received no response- disappointing. What’s the point of a contact us option if you don’t actually respond?
I had clicked the redeem my premium option, it said my premium was redeemed and yet HabitDailyTracker didn’t reflect it- disappointing. I had already paid. If you aren’t willing to uphold prior agreements for premium status and payments made for the premium status then given a refund.
Maybe writing an upset review will finally get the developers attention and make them care to respond.
EDIT- I sent a follow up email, after a few weeks they finally responded. At that point it wasn’t worth it. All the comments on these negative reviews seem to be copied and nothing genuine. Disappointing but I just uninstalled HabitDailyTracker for something better.
Used to love until...

I used to love HabitDailyTracker. So simple, easy to add a habit goal, and then check off the days when I met it. Ever since the new year however I’ve been getting pesky “offers” to upgrade to premium that just will. not. go. away. “This offer ends in 70 hours!” Well, it does end after 70 hours, only to be replaced by a new one. I decided to keep using HabitDailyTracker and resign myself to just ignoring the now permanent “offer countdown” that persists at the top, but then I wanted to delete one of my habits and add a new one in its place... HabitDailyTracker let me delete an existing habit goal, but when I tried to add a different one in its place the “+” button for adding a habit reroutes me to.... the latest offer for premium.
Is this a bug? Can I no longer use the free version of HabitDailyTracker ? I’m so disappointed because I had really been loving the simple version of HabitDailyTracker as it was... now it’s becoming more nuisance than it’s worth. Will be looking for an alternative sadly :(
Changed service and took away features I paid for
2022-11-29
by Meeeeeeeeeeeeeii
Edit: They finally got back to me and helped me restore my premium features. I’ll update again in a month or two if their are any more issues.
Original comment: I started using HabitDailyTracker a few months ago because it wasn’t a subscription model. I track habits off and on and didn’t want to pay monthly for something I’m not always using.
At the time you could pay a one time fee of something like 5.99 to unlock everything and if you’re happy with the service you could pay 6.99 instead as a tip. I paid the 6.99 because I was so happy with the non subscription service. After using it for a few weeks I fell off of tracking and didn’t open HabitDailyTracker for about 2-3 months.... (again, this is why I went with HabitDailyTracker)
Now that I have returned I no longer have all the services that I paid for and they are telling me to pay a monthly fee to unlock something I ALREADY paid for. I contacted them to get this fixed but they haven’t replied to any of my emails.
If you offer a something for an amount of money you don’t take it away from people because your prices change. I already paid to unlock everything. Restoring my purchase doesn’t work and they are not responding. Really not happy with this..
Both the Best and Most Annoying App I’ve Ever Used
2022-12-30
by Trekkie721
I’ve been using HabitDailyTracker for a few months now and I’ve found it incredibly helpful! Even the free version is packed with features and it’s so simple and easy to use! I love seeing the percentage go up and checking off the days. The graphs are great as well. But.....
HabitDailyTracker HAS GOTTEN SO ANNOYING
Since January 1, 2021, HabitDailyTracker has been offering a special on premium paid features. It’s a free app with upgrades, so that makes since and I don’t mind the little reminder at the top. But, EVERY TIME, I open HabitDailyTracker (and I mean, EVERY TIME, no matter how long I’ve had it closed, seconds...or hours...) this ad for the special pops up. You have to hit the “x” EVERY SINGLE TIME.
At first this seemed like a temporary special, but no, it’s happened EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE I’VE OPENED HabitDailyTracker (since Jan. 1). There’s absolutely no option, that I can find, to decline the offer for good.
Honestly, I love HabitDailyTracker , but to keep dismissing the ad every single time I open HabitDailyTracker is becoming one of the most annoying things I’ve ever seen. If I have to put up with this longer, I will stop using HabitDailyTracker.
Oh, and I’ve tried to email their support...but it just sent an auto reply that told me to resend, RESEND, my original request to a new email address.
Percentages don’t make sense
2023-01-31
by Thisiscorinne
Great app but I just took a long hiatus to try another app because the percentages on HabitDailyTracker do not make sense. If I have been logging a habit for a while but still miss a few days a week (when I have set the habit up to be every day), it will still show as 100% strength. I just checked back in after 4 months away and one of my habits still shows as 100% just because I’ve checked it off so many times. This has really turned me off from HabitDailyTracker because it’s not true to the behavior. I’m willing to try HabitDailyTracker again because I love how simple it is, but I have to disregard the habit strengths because they make no logical sense. This really needs to be fixed to create a better app.
I have had premium for months and it was great but now with the new update the widget keeps telling me to upgrade to premium. I keep hitting “restore purchase” and it verifies it in HabitDailyTracker but now the widget is totally useless. Please fix this 😢 Also, I feel like if you stop doing a habit, the percentage should go down? Because it stops becoming a habit ? I was very consistent with some things and they got up to a very high percentage but when I became totally inconsistent it stayed at that high percentage and didn’t motivate me at all. In fact I cleared all of the numbers (and data of my progress, which I wanted to keep, but wanted the motivation more)- so that I was able to “build” the habit that I felt should have to be rebuilt and reflected with the perecentage.
Love It, But Hoping for Some Additional Features
2023-04-02
by Itsreinaashley
I love HabitDailyTracker a lot. I especially love the fun, bright color scheme that’s very minimalistic. The bubbles and percentage success is much nicer than a streak-system because there isn’t as much guilt for missing some habits. I also love the new widget feature (BIG reason why I stuck with Habit instead of other apps like Done or Today), but for some reason, only 4 of my habits are showing up on the widget, which is a bit frustrating. I also would love a way to have an account or back up system for my habits so that my progress is saved if anything happens. Finally, I’d love it if I can download this on my iPad as well, but I’m not sure it’s iPad compatible yet. Regardless, I definitely see myself sticking with HabitDailyTracker for a while and am excited to see HabitDailyTracker evolve!
First review of any app! TLDR: This App Rocks
2023-05-04
by Thekevinluv
This is my first time reviewing any app on HabitDailyTracker store and I have used iPhones since the 4s. This really helped me nail the habit I’ve been wanting to pick up the most and thats journaling. Along side journaling, I also implemented drinking tea into my routine. I found that writing myself how long a habit takes to complete in the “Motivate Yourself” section helps a lot in motivating me to get that habit completed. I would suggest taking small habits and building off those. The design is really neat, showing off your percentages of how far along you are into your habit. Reaching a 100 percent is really nice, but I found that I actually have built the habit even before hitting 100 percent completion. Around the time I usually journal I can, almost everyday, remind myself before HabitDailyTracker reminds me and I think that speaks volumes about HabitDailyTracker . HabitDailyTracker is a great tool to have, but like all tools you must know how to work with it. Luckily, HabitDailyTracker is super intuitive and it’s easy to build steam with HabitDailyTracker and get a few wins under your belt to feel accomplished as you see your percentage reach closer and closer to 100 percent. Definitely recommend HabitDailyTracker, poke around with it before you dive in, get a feel then set your first habit you’d like to form, you won’t be disappointed! :)
the best habit tracking app

I’ve used so soooo many habit tracking apps and this is the best one!! I love the algorithm they show with the percentages and the charts. I love simple outlook with minimal design and you can choose the color and the layout of the habits as well. I also love how the reminders can be customized. You can also go back and check off your habit if you forgotten. I love the simplicity yet the effectiveness of HabitDailyTracker so so much! It can be on your apple watch and can be synced through your icloud which I really love. Also appreciate how we can choose to pay how much we want for the pro version :)
I would LOVE LOVE it if it can be on the apple watch!! hopefully that’s a new feature soon :)
Satisfyingly Simple & Aesthetic

If you need a comprehensive, step-by-step, goal-setting system, then HabitDailyTracker is not for you. For most of us, we can use our brains or Microsoft Word to write down detailed plans. HabitDailyTracker is great for TWO things: a daily reminder to accomplish your goal, and keeping track of how many days you succeeded. The colors are simple and the setup is satisfying: check off another day and the percentage grows and the color fills more of the bar. My phone even vibrates contentedly whenever I make a check mark. I’ve been working out for 22 days now, and HabitDailyTracker made me do even more than I was supposed to. I had a goal for 3 times a week, but I hate missing check marks, so I’m working out every single day. 5 stars from me.
I’ve tried many habit trackers and they never work for me, as most focus too much on “streaks” or not breaking the chain. For a perfectionist like me, missing one day and breaking my streak tends to send me into a spiral where I give up and backtrack on my success. HabitDailyTracker changed all that! My goal is now to get to 100 and keep it up! I’ve been using it since January and have reached 100 or close to it on most of my habits and maintained it. The best thing is that missing a day or two doesn’t ruin your score. However, miss several days or a week and you start to see your score go down so you are motivated to keep doing the habit to maintain your score or keep growing it. When starting a new habit, your score grows quickly which is very motivating! I have one habit that I was trying to do 3 times a week but I’m doing it almost every day thanks to HabitDailyTracker! I also love how easy it is to see all your habits at once and quickly check them off for that day because today is on the far right. Other apps I’ve used are not this easy. I enjoy looking at the calendar for each habit occasionally, but mostly just stay on the main screen.
Great App

Hello respected developers, This one of the best habits app I’ve came across. Thank you for the simple to use with marvelous features app. HabitDailyTracker can be more beneficial if we would be able to categorize our habits for example into morning or evening or skin care habits. If each new habit I would add can go down to the bottom it would be great instead of dragging it to the bottom as I have a huge list of habits. Adding the ability to specify which days of the week exactly for certain habits is needed. I wish you add more colors and note taking on each day. It is still so much helpful app, and I only mentioned what I would like to see in HabitDailyTracker, because I love it and I wanted it to grow. Thank you so much.
Simplistic, and ISNT A PAY FOR THING

I’ve went through three habit trackers before I tried this thing, I couldn’t use any of them because even thought they said they were free, they in reality had a giant fee to use the most basic features. One I couldn’t even make more than three habits. This motivates me and has very simple functions, it gets the job done. I love how you can check off your habits from days before in case you did them and you weren’t available to check them of. The layout is extremely simplistic, being only four types of pages you can open, all coming from the opening screen, and leading back to it, but I wouldn’t change this simplistic style for the world. It makes it easy to get used to and get into.
Highly recommend!

I’ve been using HabitDailyTracker for almost two months now, and I LOVE it. I’ve recommended it to a lot of friends already. It’s very straight forward and simple- not a lot of fluff or customization available unless you upgrade, so if that’s what you’re looking for I’d say don’t download. But it’s exactly what I was looking for so I can keep track of my habits, see which ones I need to focus on more if I’ve missed multiple days in the month. It’s great for me to visualize what I want to accomplish everyday, especially because I used to write a note on my phone and then transfer the list everyday. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a way to create better habits in your life and keep track of how you’re doing. Hope this helps!
The best app for Habit Tracking!

I’ve been looking for an app to list my habits and keep track of them throughout the day. I’m a visual person and need the reminders so I’m on a set schedule. While this is app is beautiful with the colors, and has a percentage system, reminders, no annoying ads, and a great purchase system (I could choose to pay 5$ to get the entire thing?! AWESOME!), I do not like how I set my habits to be certain times a week (for example, I set Reading to 4 times in 7 Days) and it says I’ve only completed 22%. Now this is just personal because I’m not a fan of math and so percentages just confuse me lol. But I am giving 5 stars because it’s the best, most affordable app I’ve come across for tracking habits. Other apps make ads pop up every time or you’re only allowed 3 habits and have to pay a yearly subscription for more.
I have been tracking my habits for several months - first on paper, which proved disastrous. Later, via apps. A lot of habit tracking apps try to dress it up with “game interface” or limit the amount of habits you can add without premium. I really like HabitDailyTracker, Habit, because of how straight forward it is. The amount of clicks to check off a habit is exactly two, which I am extremely happy about. And I like that I can see percentages, based on frequency, which are much more annoying to calculate by hand. I don’t use the reminders, and I’m glad opting out is an option. Thankfully there are no premium ads or pop ups! While I’m not a fan of the bright color scheme, that’s easy to overlook. Thank you for making HabitDailyTracker I was looking for! 🙏
Love the simplicity, but needs some improvement

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for to track my morning/evening routines, but it could really benefit from some additional features. For starters, I need to be able to categorize my habits- such as morning routine, evening routine, chores, healthy habits, etc. As it stands, I have one big long list of lots of habits, and it’s not even easy to arrange them. You can drag them, but it only moves as far as the page currently displayed, so if I want to add a task to the end of my list, I have to repeatedly drag and drop it trough one screen, scroll down, drag through to the next, and repeat until I reach the bottom. It would also be helpful to be able to choose specific days of the week for each habit. Aside from those draw-backs, I still love the set up and the ease of use. Other apps have too many unnecessary and confusing parameters. I want to be able to track whether or not I accomplish a task every day of the week, and analyze that progress over time, and HabitDailyTracker allows me to do that.
Minimalist design, ease of use, needs more features

I’m no stranger to self-help and productivity apps. I have tried a great deal of them from Habitica to ToDoist. I was looking for a more streamlined, easy to view habit tracker that wouldn’t take much space, time, nor thought to operate.
Habit- Daily Tracker is great for ease of use, and simplistic design. All of the features of HabitDailyTracker are accessible from a quick swipe or tap, and the learning curve to use HabitDailyTracker is minimal. I enjoy the simple colorful design, and the data charts offered are easy to read and comprehensive.
I do enjoy HabitDailyTracker , however it needs updated features. One such example is the ability to schedule a habit to be repeated more than once per day. For example “brush teeth,” if I want to complete this habit twice daily, I have to make two habits and track them separately. Likewise, you have a limit on how many habits you can track, again stifling options.
I contributed $2.99 to the developer because of the beautiful design and ease of use. I am hopeful that additional features will be added in the future.
For being so new, this little app is great.

The look of the interface matters a lot to me (makes me much more motivated to use it) and the design and colors of HabitDailyTracker are great! I love how simple and efficient it is. My only suggestions so far as it continues to be developed: - being able to set habits for more than once a day (I can set them like this, but every time I go to check it off, HabitDailyTracker crashes. would also be nice to check it off each time you do it per day, somehow) - being able to manually choose which color for each task - love the ability to move tasks around! unlimited habits with no catch!
Best Habit Tracker!

I’ve always disliked other apps because they made you upgrade to have more than 3-5 habits, tracking wasn’t smooth and they usually require monthly subscriptions. Habit is different! Unlimited habits, smooth percentage based tracking, editing habits if you accidentally skipped a few days, and it’s free! I love that the premium is simply offered and not forced, and includes bonus features rather than essential functions. I would happily pay for HabitDailyTracker, but I’m glad the developers saw the need for a free habit app and filled the void. I look forward to purchasing their premium soon to show my support!
This year I’ve decided to become more productive and organized and HabitDailyTracker truly helped me achieve that! It allows me to track my daily and even weekly tasks with new colours for different activities to keep it fun. My one problem is the fact that you can’t choose which colour is for which item. When you put in a new tab, it selects a colour for you. But I’ve learned to time which colour will be selected, so it’s not a major issue. Of course, everything else is amazing in HabitDailyTracker! It even shows you your progress throughout the week AND the month! Great app! You won’t regret getting it.
Simple is sometimes better.

I love this simple little habit app! It’s easy to use and visually pleasing. Some of the other apps I’ve tried either required a pricey subscription or were overly complicated and full of unnecessary features.
HabitDailyTracker does exactly what it says. It tracks habits. The habits are all free text, so you can track anything you want. The text boxes even allowed me to use emoji, to help visually decorate my habits, which I loved.
The fact that the premium version was completely optional (not having premium doesn’t cripple HabitDailyTracker ) and being able to choose from three pricing levels if you do buy was nice.
Amazing!

I just recently started using HabitDailyTracker but I absolutely love it. I love the way you track your habits and it both gives me reminders (literally) of stuff I need to do while not stressing me out at the same time. Unlike other apps that would drop you back go 0 for missing a day or two, HabitDailyTracker gives you leeway. Another feature I adore is being able to choose how much you pay for premium. I don't have a lot of spending money so I chose the cheapest option, but I adore the fact you weren't immediately denied the option of premium if you were poor.
Highly recommend if anyone wants a low-stress but highly motivated way to stay on track!

I have probably downloaded about 20 different apps trying to find one that fits everything I need. I run a business and this helps me out SO much with doing everything I need to do. I do, however, wish that there could be “subcategories” in a way. I have a couple of things to do everyday that require me to do that thing multiple times a day. Such as if I were to put “drink water” I would like to be able to mark off multiple of these, whereas now I can only mark off the task once a day. I could create 8 “drink water” tasks a day but I would feel super unorganized and have to scroll down to find my other tasks.
I like it so far!

I love the visuals when you check off a habit! Like when the colored circle gets bigger. It’s a great way to see your progress and hopefully, I’ll achieve my goals! Hehehe. I’ll keep using the free for another month, if I like it, I’ll buy it! Just give me a little more time to use it. A quick, small thing that needs work is after I make an edit to the habit name, I have to save it twice to see the change. It does t do it on the first try. I can live with that. I just thought it share some light feedback. Ok I’m off to continue using it and I hope you’ll continue to do well and improve where necessary! Great great job developer!
Before I got HabitDailyTracker I tried out the other habit trackers and all of them sucked. Not only were they not as colorful as HabitDailyTracker, but you couldn’t even use HabitDailyTracker because you had to pay a lot of money for everything. Of course to get extra features you can pay money on habit, how else would they make money?! What I love about when you pay you get to pick your price, each price gives the same amount of features but by giving more you are helping out habit. I would totally recommend getting HabitDailyTracker and I’d even recommend paying for the extra features because the widget feature is amazing. 🙂

This is a great app! I have downloaded a ton of apps trying to find the right app for my son who needs to take medication every day. He is a teenager and will only use it if it is very simple and easy to use. HabitDailyTracker hits all my requirements. He is using it and it has helped with his well being. Thank you! I do have one request. Would it be possible to add a snooze function so when the user is unable to accomplish the task at that moment you could apply a snooze with an opinion of like 10 min or 1 hour or be able to input the time of delay? Sometimes you can’t accomplish the task right away and you certainly don’t want to forget about it. Hope this will benefit all users.
Requests!

Would be nice to have Apple Watch support (being able to check things off on my watch throughout the day in case I leave my phone at home or something). Also, the ability to “check in” multiple times in one day for a specific habit as the Today app enables because for something like exercise I might do it two or three times a day and it’d be nice to see the frequency in a given day instead of only checking off a habit one time a day if that makes sense. Otherwise HabitDailyTracker is fairly simple to use and I look forward to seeing it develop even further!
