Schlotzsky s Rewards Program Reviews

Updated to version 2.0. First time I launched app, it requires name, email, & password to scan in receipts for rewards, or a Facebook login (which I don’t use) to use SchlotzskysRewardsProgram . I needed one more visit to get a $7 reward. After setting up a new account, it will not let me login. It keeps telling me not a valid account & ‘re-sign again’ OR crashes & leaves app & goes to my home screen. I appear to have lost my previous reward visits. Bottom line, do not upgrade at this time!

Updated to version 2.0.1 on 8-4-18, 3 days after writing the above review. Same error messages! Cannot log in! Frustrating! Tried to reset my password about 5 times after reading other reviews so I could log in by using my email address, which is also my user name, but NEVER sends a message to my email address to “update” the log in. Complete failure on Schlotzsky’s for a nonfunctional app.

After re-entering the same user name & password many many times, over about 10 days, I was able to log in & access SchlotzskysRewardsProgram . To continue with my disappointment of SchlotzskysRewardsProgram, just as I suspected, all my previous rewards for $7 off a meal were gone & it was over 72 hours after my last visit, so I couldn’t scan in my last receipt. Not really a pun - but it kind of leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

First of all very slow to download. At least 5 minutes with a good connection. Tried website first and completely frustrating. Thought app would be better but exactly the same layout. Not user friendly at all. Try Placing the combo option on the same page with the sandwich instead of it being separate. Tried using it and it kept saying select a drink but the only option was chips. No drink option under combo. Needless to say after 10 minutes I still couldn’t get it working properly so we took our business elsewhere.

1) not accepting the brand’s own gift card
2) during the order process, “Apply this promote” to a specific offer is displayed which is implying that the order is eligible. However, it only disappointments you in the end without a clear message as why the promo can’t be used.
3) when deals are offered at 5.99, it would show the original price til checkout. But it wouldn’t not show the final discount price per item at the check out page, making you guess how the total was reflected.
I like the sandwiches at the place but SchlotzskysRewardsProgram makes me loosing my appetite!

I’ve tried to use SchlotzskysRewardsProgram a couple of times to order online and haven’t been successful yet. Yesterday, when I tried to place an order, I could add items to my cart, but I could never actually place the order for what I’d put in the cart. The “cart” icon was missing on SchlotzskysRewardsProgram screen. I even showed it to the store manager when I got there, and he couldn’t figure out how I could place an online order either using SchlotzskysRewardsProgram . While he was trying to figure it out, he decided to use his own smartphone to see if it would work. It was taking so long to go from one screen to the next, I finally told him I didn’t have time for him to figure out the problem and I would just order without SchlotzskysRewardsProgram (even though I had a $5 online order discount coming to me).
While writing this review, I looked again today, and I do see the cart icon today on SchlotzskysRewardsProgram , so maybe this was a temporary glitch; or they fixed they app.

Lady at the drive thru was not very helpful. Upon asking about the new app I downloaded she pretended not to know anything about it. I asked her if she was to scan anything on SchlotzskysRewardsProgram , she shrugged her shoulders and didn’t say anything. I again asked how SchlotzskysRewardsProgram works, she finally said that I would scan the receipt. As I was reading SchlotzskysRewardsProgram it specifically said I could have my app scanned or scan receipt. Upon asking about her scanning it she again directed me to the receipt. I then pointed out what SchlotzskysRewardsProgram stated and she FINALLY indicated the scanner is broken or doesn’t work. I left it at that. Not very helpful...

I love Schlotzsky’s food but SchlotzskysRewardsProgram needs lots of help! I spent an hour trying to place an order for a family meal, that could only be used within SchlotzskysRewardsProgram . If you go to add extras, there’s no way to go back to the previous page where you left off. You have to start over again. After making it through to the end, extra items has been added in. There is no way to edit your order and see what has been added by mistake, in order to delete them. When I tried to hit order (even though the price was wrong), it wouldn’t accept and kept asking for me to specify a time. Each time I put in a later time, error messages said I couldn’t choose that time. Please get the bugs out and I will visit more often!

Update: game gone now. The little bonus perks were the only reason I kept SchlotzskysRewardsProgram at all. The good news is I can free up space on my phone now and delete SchlotzskysRewardsProgram . I’ll just download it once a year when I might actually use it. Schlotzsky’s is really my least favorite deli anyway. I’m not a fan of the airy toasted bread and the tiny shrivel of cheese also toasted onto the sandwich which is a good excuse for them to use far less of it. The little perks were what kept me coming back. Now that those were taken away I’m out.

I liked the old game. At least once a year I would earn enough points for a sandwich. Now it says the game is no longer available even though it’s still there in SchlotzskysRewardsProgram . SchlotzskysRewardsProgram won’t let you select a default location. It’s just a really poorly designed app

We decided to try the new Schlotzky’s in town now that the hubbub has died down a bit. I have three boys and figured placing an order through SchlotzskysRewardsProgram would make things easier. Also, free promo sandwich, awesome! Instead, I spent a half hour putting together an order, only to have the cart not save. So instead, my husband is going to the restaurant to order so they can hem and haw over the menu there. I am getting a caprese sandwich, but since you can’t really see the pics in SchlotzskysRewardsProgram , I don’t have a clue whether the cheese is shredded or sliced. Online ordering can be a huge convenience for larger families, but SchlotzskysRewardsProgram just isn’t there yet.

ETA: Caprese sandwich was life changingly good. Go with that level of awesome when retooling your app please!

First of all going through a drive-through to order sandwich is ridiculous. I had dressing on my sandwich I didn’t know came on it unless I was inside ordering from a menu but of course it wasn’t convenient at all and The sandwich meat was disgustingly thick I ended up taking all of it off and just eating the edges of my bread where there was no special sauce and dry so I could fill my stomach because I just spent a fortune on a freaking sandwich that I have been bragging to my kids was the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my whole life but that was 20 years ago I should’ve known the sandwich meat would be different and I was ashamed to bring my kids there and spent almost $30Very disappointed

SchlotzskysRewardsProgram is maddening. It is not user friendly. It has the potential to be a good app with lots of optional features. It requires too much guess work. Me and my husband each downloaded SchlotzskysRewardsProgram and it took us at least 15 mins. to place orders after all the mishaps. Please make this very explicit for users. If you put your reward for free chips and free drink under the sandwich tab, there’s a price difference- it’s more expensive- than if you do it separately, but SchlotzskysRewardsProgram doesn’t tell you that. You’re left wondering why your sandwich is so expensive even though you’re getting two items for free. Like I said, it’s a lot of guess work. Hit the wrong button, and you’re starting all over again.

trying to order some sandwiches and when it came time to add payment I would submit the order and it would give me an error on one of the sandwiches, saying that there was no bread to change the bread. but it would charge my credit card. i change the bread to another type of bread on that sandwich and it did the same thing and charged my credit card A second time. so I canceled that sandwich and got another sandwich and the order went through then I called the store and ask them if they had that sandwich with that bread and they said yes. so SchlotzskysRewardsProgram obviously has no idea what the store has or has not and now I have two extra charges on my credit card.

Schlotzsky’s we love…but…I made order online my hubby went to Pick up the order. I had specifically said curbside. When he arrived at the curbside all went well, I had even paid for the order. I had even paid for the orderThen the trouble began. They handed him a bag that was definitely not our order. Then they told him that Doordash had picked up our order to deliver.
I had equipped my hubby also with the order number. They told him that the one that
he had been handed to him was the one with our number. After several calls to me they finally decided to remake our order but it was going to cost us an extra 30%. He said no. They decided to make it for him anyway. We finally got our order, at least we thought we had. But when he got home and unpacked the order there was one sandwich cut in half instead of the two sandwich’s I had ordered. The chips and center of the roll were correct. The saving grace of the situation was that no one had gotten angry and fussy or abused. All left friends. We will have continue to love Schlotzsky’s but probably will not order on line.

I love eating at Schlotzsky’s restaurant and I travel 20 miles to frequent the Kilgore restaurant. The food is always delicious and served with fresh ingredients. The staff is kind and courteous. I was surprised to see the person preparing the sandwiches wearing his mask under his nose tonight. In light of the pandemic and the number of senior citizens being served our safety was not considered on this occasion. There were others that didn’t have their mask pulled up until I addressed my concern to the person taking my order. I want to continue eating there but I also want to be served in a safe and healthy environment.

I love Schlotzkys. I’ve been eating Schlotzkys as a customer for at least 30 years. I’ve used SchlotzskysRewardsProgram before but it had been a while since I used it. When I went to use it I forgot my password. SchlotzskysRewardsProgram would not allow me to reset my password. I’m pretty good at using apps but I ended up having to create a new account with a different password. Oh well. Like I said, Schlotzkys is the best sandwich in the continental United States to me.

I’m staying home due to the pandemic, but your team in Hudson Oaks has been following best practices re: public health safety steps from the start so I feel comfortable going through the drive-thru. Always friendly...some of the few people I see every or every-other week. The food is always good...and a break from food prepared at home. Just wanted to say THANK YOU!

I hate this application! Schlotzsky’s needs to find someone that knows how to build an app that works and is user friendly. I can NEVER get my receipt scanned. I have looked all over the entire app and can’t find the scanner. I have asked employees inside the store and their response is “ I don’t know, I don’t have anything to do with that”. The only time I got points was when I ordered on line.

Awesome and patient service from Arie and the manager at the Rock Creek location in Lott Rock, Arkansas. My app wasn’t connected and not allowing my coupon to be utilized on my visit. Arie and manger were very attentive in helping to resolve the issue whereas another employee was trying to usher me along because there was a “line” developing by the employees assisting me with my order! I trust Arie and the manger on duty will be recognized for their outstanding and attentive service.

I was really “hankering” for something different to eat for supper as I was driving by my favorite Schlotzsky’s eatery in Cedar Park. I remembered that Pizza was on the menu for Schlotzsky’s and I thought “why not” try a menu item that I had never tried before - a 10” Veggie Supreme Pizza! Well, to make a long story short, it was absolutely hot, well prepared, and delicious! It’s definitely something that will be on my favorites list alongside my Schlotzsky’s favorite sandwiches!

I haven’t been to this location for a while. The service was always ok but what kept me from coming back the cleanliness of the restaurant was not ok. Today I came in to purchase a cinnamon roll and noticed the place was quit clean. I ask the lady if something had changed or new management the lady helping me said she was the new GM. I told her thank you for the good service and told her I would be back now that it’s clean and the atmosphere is better. Thanks for giving my schlotzsys a new face.

I didn’t even know they had a store in our town. We decided to give it a try and so glad we did. I got a Fresh Veggie and my husband got a Deluxe Original, my daughter also got the Deluxe Original but asked if they could replace the salami with Turkey and they did. These were the best sandwiches we have ever found. I’m craving one now. I just wish they looked more like the picture in their menu, I mean as big as they show them. Of coarse I always get the cheese soup also. My husband is still talking about them. Delicious. Will go back time and time again.

I tried to use a reward that was expiring in 5 days. It would not redeem so I had to pay full price for my meal. I emailed Schlotzsky’s and they told me to try it again. I just ate Schlotzsky’s and I did not want to go back the same week. They could have extended my reward. They just told me to try it again. It has expired. For over a month SchlotzskysRewardsProgram would not scan because the store didn’t have the new barcode system. Their food is not that great. I am done with Schlotzsky’s.

No scan feature working as others have experienced. Didn’t ask for permission to access camera during install, doesn’t show up under camera in settings. Support only tells me what IOS version I need and how to give camera permission. Just not there. Not worth effort or time, Panera Bread app works and has good food. Sorry Schlotzsky’s your developer’s support and app stinks. Same app was developed for Moe’s and McAllisters don’t work either. Maybe not upgraded to latest IOS version. Erased app!

I love this restaurant, but SchlotzskysRewardsProgram will not give me credit for my receipts. I scan a receipt and it shows up as an earned credit. But the next day that credit will be removed. I’ve tried this about 10 times now with several different receipts and it’s always the same problem. I went by the store to see if maybe I was doing something wrong and talk to the manager and she told me she had no idea why SchlotzskysRewardsProgram is doing that it admitted that SchlotzskysRewardsProgram is more trouble than it’s worth.

I thought SchlotzskysRewardsProgram would be super convenient because I could order prior to leaving work, designate when I will be passing my usual Schlotzsky’s (Lindale, TX location), & be able to make it to my next event on time. Instead, I waited another 20 minutes just for my meal there in the store. So much for convenience!

I realize this is a new location and they are working out all of their kinks, but this has happened on multiple occasions & I am fed up with it. To me, it’s not worth it.

SchlotzskysRewardsProgram is one of the worst I've seen. They layout is pretty, and easy to navigate, BUT it is so slow you might as well just go to the store or order online (although their website is pretty slow too).
You can't use your rewards within SchlotzskysRewardsProgram or when you order online either, which is totally stupid.
I almost always just have to scan my receipt to get the credit so SchlotzskysRewardsProgram is almost useless.

Usually I have no problems with SchlotzskysRewardsProgram and earning punches and getting reward. Yesterday I earned a punch and it looked like I had 2 more to get my 7th. But when I got home I had an email saying I had earned all 7 punches, so I opened my app to find 0 punches on that screen and no reward to be found anywhere.

Yesterday, I attempted to scan my receipt for 11/03 and received an error. I just got an email back today stating my 7th punch could not be validated due to being more than 3 days old?!! How do you figure after 1 day? Then noticed in SchlotzskysRewardsProgram that I only had 5 earns?! Not only was my 7th punch inaccurately disqualified, but my 6th one as well? They reflected my earn for my 6th purchase reflected for the earn that was disqualified for my 7th one? So you disqualify 7th earn for a day old receipt, yet remove the 6th earn that's not even for the same date or associated disputed disqualification..seriously?!

So, I saw bad reviews but they looked mostly old and I gave it a chance. Waste of my time. My local schlotzsky’s isn’t listed. It’s 6 miles away. Instead, SchlotzskysRewardsProgram wants me to order from a different location 22 miles away. Uh, I’ll pass. So, I am stuck wondering if I should try the rewards part and scanning receipts, or will that waste my time too?

Giving a 2 instead of 1 because to be fair I didn’t try the rewards part yet. But ordering from app was a big fat fail.

I can't apply rewards to online orders using the instructions in SchlotzskysRewardsProgram . If a reward isn't applicable to online orders, notice should be given to the user instead of there just being a blank screen once a store is chosen in the offers section, if that's even what's happening and it's not a bug.

Found it a little hard to negotiate at first but I have the hang of it now. As long as I remember to scan in 3 days it's a great benefit. I wish they gave you a little longer to scan. Bottom line earning a $7 reward is better than most rewards programs and I definitely take advantage of the perk. Plus I love their sandwiches!

Honestly, besides the fact that I love Schlotzskys, it amazes me at how awesome SchlotzskysRewardsProgram works. Love the updates and the look of the new app! You always get updated on the newest deals and rewards! I always give in when they have a good deal going on! Definitely a must have! Saves me money, and who doesn’t like an app that gives money back?! Try SchlotzskysRewardsProgram out!
