AvFX has several interesting ideas that are rendered unusable by frustrating design.

AvFX does the things you want it to do, but never how you'd like to do them. For example, you can add music to a video, and you can choose a start point for the music, but you can't preview the start point. Instead, you have to trim the track, render the whole video, and see where in the song you are. If you trimmed too far, you can't scrub back, instead you have to delete the song, import it again, then do the whole process over again.

There's a similar problem with the video. Whenever I would crop the video to the size I wanted, as soon as I would go to export it, it would center the crop and flip it upside down for some reason. There's no controls to reverse it, and in order to preview a video, you have to render the whole thing. Worse, after you render a video, you are unable to make changes, meaning if you want to tweak something, you have to delete the video and start over from scratch.

I love AvFX, I use it mostly just to add brightness to my videos. But, when you leave AvFX while it is uploading a video, there is some sort of bug that stops the processing process. Also, I am only editing a 2 minute video but have been having issues with it crashing multiple times. Other than these, I think this is a great and useful app.

Update from 4 to 2 stars:
Annoying af, the 2 min video can't even upload AvFX keeps crashing at like 1 min and I have to compress the edit the video over and over again.

So bad. It's hard to choose videos, or add music or save videos. Basically I have only created a couple and exported them by tapping on any button possible and then just giving up and using whatever came out. The design is terrible! It's a bunch of features banded together with no logic about how the user would get to them.

With what AvFX can do it works well but the ui is a bit tricky to figure out at first and the fact that it takes so long for a filter to be applied is frustrating also if you want to edit your video yourself there just aren't enough options to change its tough to undo a mistake if you don't like what you have done and have to start at the beginning and import the video again. But overall it does what I need..

i don't know whats up with AvFX but i saved a video from snapchat onto my phone and edited it and added music and i saved it but its not saving??? it says "saved ti library" but nothings there.... i texted it to myself and saved it from there, nothing. i tried posting it on instagram, nothing. i shared it on facebook, NOTHING. why???? help me. everything else is great i love that you can add music but i just want to sAVE MY VIDEOS

When I first went on AvFX it was pretty confusing but once I figured out some things I tried to put a fun effect on my video and it didn't allow me. I'm still trying to figure things out but other than it being confusing it's not that bad.

The filters are pretty nice and it's cool that you can put your own music to the background pretty easily, but the trimming features really need to be fixed because it's way too hard to figure out if you're even cutting it off at the right parts. Some other features could be tweaked for easier use too.

So when I first got AvFX I was immediately overwhelmed and confused but after using it more often it was easier and to get those rainbow filter things you have to write a review so that's what I'm doing, also there is a lot of ads popping up and it is usually their paid version of the editor that they want you to buy.

Very slow to edit music and video. Not visually appealing, it seems too cluttered for me. Music trimming should be easier to manage. Usually vids are short and it's really hard to trim the music down to seconds. Tool is not easy to maneuver. Preview option should be incorporated so that editing can be done without being forced to render the vid and having to start from scratch if changes are desired. It does freeze quite a lot and imported vids lose resolution. Over all it's been the best app of its kind I've encountered. If improvements were made I'd definitely rate it 5 stars.

Free version keeps crashing. Like the features. Hope the purchased version doesn't do the same thing. Be AvFX has it all. Video, photo editing and music, effects, and cropping capabilities.

The interface is relatively clean but it has potential. It doesn't feel like a "cheap" (free) app, however, some of the features were clumsy. It seems as if I'm mindlessly wandering through AvFX . The trimming feature also needs to be fixed,I find it to be a nuisance with how you can't preview the clip before you trim. Other than that, I think it's pretty rad and the features are lovely.

AvFX is decent, but for me it runs really slow... Also, it doesn't give you much effects at all, unless you buy their 'value pack', which costs $2.99, which is actually a pretty good deal for all of the effects, but money is money, and their going to try and make you pay for effects to a video.... So yes, it a pretty good app... IF, you're will to do a lot for it...

AvFX is has seems good so far because I just got it ,but it has this glitch were the flashlight shines for no reason at all. Besides that it has many of filters to choose from ,and it has and pop up (I think that is what you call it probably not) that asks you if you need help. In my opinion this is a 4 star rated app!

I download almost every free video app to try it out because I make a lot of videos with my phone. This is one of 10 video apps I have kept. I like the adjustments you can make to the exposer and gamma. It's very good for fixing dark videos.

This is a really cool app, but it makes you like things on twitter and stuff and it's hard to edit when that keeps getting in the way of getting new filters, i don't have a twitter and don't want to get one. Please do something else!!

On my phone I have lots of videos that have no color at all and I was looking for apps and I came across this and I downloaded it and toyed it and I was like wow this is so amazing I recommend AvFX to every photographer

You've gotta use the helpful hints to know how to move around on AvFX. After you get that it works great, runs smoothly, puts in music, and has sharp filters.

AvFX is very good and I would definitely recommend to download AvFX if you like to create artistic video from your "already made" videos on your camera roll.

AvFX is amazing there are not many video editors but this is one of the best apps it lets you choose to a lot categories and it works not like any other apps That will just give you A frozen app

I love AvFX! Adding music to your videos, and even adding filters! Awesome.. The only thing I would change is to allow people to put background music from other sources such as a music downloader u downloaded from AvFX Store not just ur own library. ❤️😊👍
