CBT i Coach Overview


CBT-i Coach is based on the therapy manual, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia in Veterans, by Rachel Manber, Ph.D., Leah Friedman, Ph.D., Colleen Carney, Ph.D., Jack Edinger, Ph.D., Dana Epstein, Ph.D., Patricia Haynes, Ph.D., Wilfred Pigeon, Ph.D. and Allison Siebern, Ph.D. CBT-i has been shown to be efficacious for insomnia for both Veterans and civilians.

CBT-i Coach is for people who are engaged in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia with a health provider, or who have experienced symptoms of insomnia and would like to improve their sleep habits.

CBT-i Coach is for people who are engaged in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia with a health provider, or who have experienced symptoms of insomnia and would like to improve their sleep habits. The app will guide you through the process of learning about sleep, developing positive sleep routines, and improving your sleep environment. It provides a structured program that teaches strategies proven to improve sleep and help alleviate symptoms of insomnia. CBT-i Coach is intended to augment face-to-face care with a healthcare professional. It can be used on its own, but it is not intended to replace therapy for those who need it. Great app for vets/first responders

This is a great sleep app for veterans or first responders. The sleep tracking section is very helpful. Also the suggestions are not annoying like with some sleep apps. Some of the sleep prescription stuff could be hard to understand if you are using it on your own without a therapist. The notifications are buggy but there’s a way around that which is every time you get a notification if you click on it (like to open the app) then it will work correctly.

Fantastic

This program is the first “non-pill” isolution to insomnia that studies have shown works as good or better than its control arm. Warning for contraindication to cbt-i is diagnosed bipolar disorder so speak to your healthcare professional before attempting the program. So glad we have this resource at our finger tips and for free!

Great sleep app!!!

This app is wonderful not just for veterans but for anyone who has trouble sleeping. It appears to use many scientific and evidence based measurements, Travis multiple dimensions for sleep and has a notes section. This is exactly what I was looking for!! I’ve already recommended it.
