The app requires you to keep a sleep diary for five days before you can get into the sleep coaching. However, if you are an insomniac who cant sleep or can’t even get yourself into bed before 12 am it doesn’t work. If you enter a bed time after 12 am it thinks you went to bed on the morning of the the PREVIOUS day and therefore slept for over 24 hours. There’s no way to indicate that you went to sleep early that morning. I can’t make accurate entries in the sleep diary and therefore cannot use the app for its intended purpose

All that entering in the sleep diary caused me to fret more about my insomnia. Nighttime awakenings increased in length as anxiety increased. The app is also like a scolding school teacher e.g. “warning!” “looks like you have insomnia (duh) talk to your provider”. Tells you NOT to look at the time but how are you supposed to know how long you were awake in the night (worrying about not sleeping)? If you have anxiety and some OCD tendencies, I cannot recommend this app. At all.

My job begins at 1:30am. I tried to submit a sleep log off getting in bed at 6:30 pm and walking 3 hrs later unable to go back to sleep before getting up for the day at 1:00am. The sleep app thinks the wake time was for the next day and there isn’t any way to let it know it was for the same day. It will not accept the entry. So I can’t even begin to use the app because I can’t complete the first task.
