You used to be able to add unlimited images or your work. Now you have to pay a subscription to add more than 6 progress photos.

I am beyond frustrated. I’ve used ClayMade for a while to keep track of my important records, and I woke up this morning to find that it had updated itself without even asking for my permission.
I thought I had accidentally deleted something or pressed the wrong button. I spent an hour blaming myself, but then I started reading the other recent reviews and realized it wasn't me at all.

I downloaded ClayMade and it REQUIRED me to update to the latest iOS version before I could even use it. I didn't realize this would happen until it was too late. Now my phone's storage is completely full from the iOS update and I can't undo it. I've had to delete photos and other apps I actually need just to have space again. Really frustrated and feel like I had no choice in this. Please add a clear warning about iOS requirements!

I'm a ceramic teacher and pretty tech-savvy, so when I say ClayMade is confusing for no apparent reason, that's saying something. Basic functionality is bizarrely broken. I accidentally entered a stage wrong and now I can't delete it - I'm just stuck with it forever. I tried entering it again as a completed pot thinking I could merge the duplicates, but nope, no way to merge them either. So now I have duplicate entries cluttering everything. The tabs are buggy too. How does something this fundamental not work?

I'm new to the exciting world of ceramics and an experienced friend told me of an app that can help me track my progress called Clay???
(I honestly forgot the last part of the name which is a very important part mentioned at the bottom of this review!)

So I found this app on ClayMade Store and honestly I was pretty disappointed in a number of things:
*Once I opened the categories ClayMade would freeze forcing me to close it.
*After restarting ClayMade and then my phone after still encountering this issue, I was sad to see the issue continued and would sporadically continue depending on what category I selected.
*When I FINALLY got ClayMade to work I just didn't feel it offered a lot of options I was looking for like there are a limited amount of forms and clay bodies etc.

It lacked so many options that I felt like although it gave me the ability to add my own, I was simply offering them intel to upgrade their app with or better yet....
I felt like a complete test dummy filling in data that in my opinion should have already been on there!!

I don't know....this app is just not what I'm looking for!

**NOW....HERES THAT IMPORTANT PART I MENTIONED EARLIER**
So after hours of frustration I decided to admit to my friend that I was partially listening LOL and asked for the name of ClayMade .... ITS CALLED CLAYLAB!
So I downloaded it and it made a WORLD of difference!

Apparently "this app" is a just sad knock off off ClayLab and it seems the developer is either lazy and/or has no actual experience with ceramics.

(Probably just another tech bro trying to make money ripping off an already created and established app!)

Sad! Wish I could give it 0 stars!

This is a great app. I’ve had others but this one is my go to that I use to keep track of all my work.

Easy to track all my pieces over time. Clean interface, intuitive, solid. Haven’t looked back since I downloaded.

Overall, I love ClayMade!! It keeps things super organized and I love how the tiles move through the process. Only thing I wish was that you can log in and it saves things!

I LOVE ClayMade! I recently switched to this app and can’t say enough good things about the it and Brian, the creator/developer. He went above and beyond helping me migrate my old pieces into ClayMade . The level of detailed automation in this app is such a timesaver. The fact that Brian is constantly making updates and enhancements is not only amazing but also SO reassuring. (The other app I was using was last updated 5 years ago. So, whenever there was a iOS update, I would cross my fingers hope ClayMade would still work.) If you are a potter or ceramic artist, ClayMade is a must. Don’t hesitate, it is 100% worth it. Not only are you supporting Brian by giving him the means to keep doing what he’s doing…but also you’ll be supporting all of us who use it.

ClayMade is exactly that I’ve been needing. Super smooth, customizable, intuitive, and easy to use. So glad to finally have an app that does everything I need it to!

I love ClayMade for helping me keep track of my ceramics work. It’s intuitive and easy to use. Special shout-out to Brian for emailing back and forth with me readily about wishes for future functionality and cheers to the team for the new update!

OrchidPotter’s review made me laugh. Not sure why anyone would want to shill for ClayLab, an app that imo is only marginally less ugly than a spreadsheet and has an absurd yearly subscription fee for its “pro” mode which literally has less features than this free app 💀. I appreciate the devs of this app including so much for free and with such a nice UI.

My only request is that the creators of ClayMade allow a log in and storage to be saved permanently. My phone broke and when I added ClayMade back all my stuff had been deleted and I had to start all over, I would pay a small fee to continue using it if that made a difference.

One of my students told me about this free app. It’s great. I’m always losing track of which underglaze (or glaze) I used on which piece which makes it hard to duplicate or make matching forms later.
This helps with that and with tracking where I’ve boxed up or if I’ve sold work or have it on loan.
Only one revision I’d really like to see: allow us to click first or second layer on surfaces (instead of just inside or outside)

this app is an absolute game-changer for me. It’s the best app for project tracking my ceramics. It has streamlined my process, I now spend more time shaping clay and less time trying to manage my logistics. The interface is so clean. It integrates features like stage tracking, allowing me to organize and track my pieces so much better than before. Honestly, there are so many great things in here. It really feels like an app built by a ceramist who thought about every detail!

I find that if I enter a stage wrong I can’t delete the wrong one. I can enter a new one but I seem to be stuck with the wrong one too. I wish there was a way to merge duplicate entries. I find I have one at bisque then mistakenly entered it again as a competed pot. Then I can’t merge the two. At least I don’t know how. Also the the tabs are a little buggy. When I press greenware or any tab that came with ClayMade it works, but if I press a tab that I created, ClayMade crashes

Fantastic app! Super useful for organizing and keeping track of your work through each stage. The latest update made everything even more intuitive highly recommend for any ceramic artist.
