Culvers makes it easy to avoid the long drive thru lines and just pick it up at the restaurant

By

Waste of time

I have a family of seven. We only order by app, but even that takes time. I see Culver’s has launched a new app finally, so we give it a whirl! I take ten minutes to put in my order for seven people on the go, as we travel (I DONT WANT TO WAIT FOR FOOD I HACE TO ORDER ON SITE!!!!!!!). I put in the order for seven, only to get an error upon checkout that says the location is not taking online orders!!!! How frustrating! What a waste of my time. Tell me up front or, better yet, force your locations to get with the times (or continue to fail to offer mobile ordering and suffer the monetary consequences). Last chance Culver’s. You’re losing my business.

Slow, unoptimized, half broken.

A Culver’s just opened in the small town I live in and I always have Culvers for restaurants in town so I downloaded this one. Every single button I click takes 5-10 seconds for it to respond. When I went to place an order, it does not show prices for any menu items at all. Maybe it does in the cart but here’s my next issue. I sat for 5 minutes trying to get to the cart but it would not continue, just a loading icon next to the checkout button I pressed. Culvers should not even be on Culvers Store if it runs so poorly and doesn’t actually work.

Every Good Night Starts at Culver’s

Have you ever realized that every good night starts at Culver’s? Well the experience just got better! Now the boys can order from the table thanks to the long awaited Culver’s app. No more waiting in line. What a time saver on my Friday nights! Didn’t think it could get any butter (lol), but Culver’s finds a way. Rest assured you will be welcomed to delicious.

By

Finally!!

I’ve been waiting for them to make an app for what seems like forever. This is by far the best “fast food” restaurant. Now we just need a rewards system / coupons built in to Culvers .

By

Never works

I have tried to order ahead of time on the Culver’s website and this new app, It’s the same problem every time. As soon as I try to submit my order I get the message “we couldn’t process your order” or something similar. I love Culver’s but problems like this makes me want to go somewhere else more convenient. Please fix your app and website!

By

Good but needs rewards

Glad this app finally released an updated app but really wish they added rewards. Hoping that they add this in a future update soon.

By

Well worth the wait!

Culvers is finally here and it’s so convenient! Plus the great menu imagery keeps bringing me back for more.

By

Clean, easy to use digital ordering

I’ve used several of the fast food app’s but Culver’s app is cleaner and easiest to use. Well done!!

By

Welcome to Delicious!!!

Wowee, I cannot believe this app made their own app 🤩. This is something the boys and I have been praying for😤🙏. That’s what’s up! 🔥🔥🔥 Nothing beats this app 🤤

By

App non responsive

It took me almost 15 min to place an order for two people. Culvers is very non responsive when you click the screen. And there’s no Apple Pay option and there should be. Look to McDonald’s for a good food app

By

Awful; Won’t “Start An Order”

First time I’ve ever reviewed an app. Downloaded it to order lunch and it will not even let me see a menu!!! The location is on yet I can’t select a location. Horrible.

By

Broken

App loads forever after selecting your location and clicking the ‘pick up here button’. ‘Carryout’ button does nothing. Useless app in current state.

By

Doesn’t work

Tried placing an order and it would never be able to add anything to my bag

By

SOOO SLOW

i have never even finished checking out bc Culvers does not work u guys need a whole new app

By

Buggy Interface

Can’t use it to place mobile orders as the section where you put your information (name, card number, etc) is either pre-filled with random characters and you can’t edit it or it’s red and you can’t input any information. Deleting and reinstalling does nothing for these issues.

By

Honest Review

I was surprised to see on Culver’s website that they re-released an app, so I downloaded it today and gave it a whirl.

I like a UI and find it to be intuitive, but the input response time seemed to be delayed to a point where ordering on the mobile website (based on my previous orders) seemed faster and more responsive. I prefer apps over mobile websites, and I’m not sure why Culvers response time is delayed, but once that gets smoothed out I’ll happily adjust my rating.

Couple of suggestions:
• It might be helpful to notify users on first time use to set their Culver’s location and to log in before creating an order.

• I would the “Plan your treats ahead” advert below the menu on the home screen.

• The corn dog item was difficult to find as it is placed under chicken & sandwiches label. I’d list it under sides.

• I don’t want to have to add my payment information every time I use Culvers . I didn’t see an option to store my payment info upon checkout. It’s possible it’s been saved, but I won’t know until I order again. As another reviewer mentioned, Apple Pay would be a nice feature, too.

• After ordering I pressed the button to save my order as a favorite and nothing happened. Might want to have the dev team check that out.

Worst Restaurant App I’ve Ever Used

Literally doesn’t work. It’s like using an app developed for the original iPhone. In 2023 as a fast food restaurant your app should be up to speed. Culvers is slow, buggy, and straight up doesn’t work to order your food. Apps are supposed to make the ordering process easier, and streamlined. Culvers accomplishes none of this. You’re going to be more frustrated trying to use Culvers than talking to the minimum wage drive thru employee trust me.

By

Skip the line

Great app, love skipping the line, especially with a hungry child in the car.

By

Poorly Made and Unusable

Gives you a coupon when you make an account for a BOGO basket, but then redirects you 2 times just for it to go away. Culvers also doesn’t have a rewards tab, so you can’t see any offers that you have earned. Horribly designed.

By

Needs work

12/26/23: many things that aren’t great about Culvers (which is really a shame because the food is great): no Apple Pay, no way to add more than 2 toppings to a Concrete Mixer, very slow & unresponsive, no way to set a pick up time in the future, no way that I can see to order the flavor of the day as I don’t see it under any of the Frozen Custard options, the Add To Calendar for a favorite Flavor of the Day does absolutely nothing, wish there was an easier way to look at another location’s Flavor Forcast (as we’re lucky enough to have 2 very close by) just to name a few glaring issues.

By

Missing Apple Pay

It’s a decent app but it’s really strange that there isn’t Apple Pay integration when ordering. That’s a step backward from just using the website in Safari. I had to copy and paste my Apple Card info from wallet manually which isn’t great.

By

Love Culver’s HATE their app

Not user friendly at all. Not able to submit gift cards as a form of payment. Half the time your entire order just disappears and have to start all over. I am a pretty tech savvy person in general and this is by far the worst mobile food app I’ve ever attempted to use.

By

App is not user friendly

I am a regular customer at Culver’s and would love to use their app, but whenever I add information to it, it deletes it on its own. Because of this I don’t feel safe adding any payment information and Culvers is useless.

By

Cannot order because location link is messed up

And the words are doubled over when trying to order..using iPad Pro

By

Receipt Rewards

We would like to be able to add a recent receipt for reward points/items. We visited the restaurant today. We did not know you had an app until after we sat down at a table and saw the advertisement that we needed to download Culvers . It was too late to have a recent purchase on our account. We visit Whataburger and Chick-fil-A more frequently because we get free food from their app.

By

Underwhelming

This would have been a decent app 10 years ago, in a world where every other fast food app is easy to use, always available for carryout, and doesnt make you use your email to get a coupon, it just doesnt feel worth it to download this one. Making an account is hard, putting in an order is clunky, no option to order for the drivethu, and i can’t emphasize enough that the coupons are impossible and thats 99% of the reason to download a fast food app. Not even just that they are hard to use but there are barley any, i received one for making an account and i still haven't gotten the email

By

Needs some tweaking

I was unable to adjust the pick up time, it kept giving me an error message, but no option to change. I had to uninstall Culvers and redo the order. Then I entered my order, but it kept saying my order wouldn’t be ready in time and to choose a different pick up time. No problem, except it won’t give me the option to change the pick up time. Weird issue that is really aggravating. Ended up just going through drive thru…

By

A little slow and one suggestion

Culvers is a little sluggish but gets the job done. One change that would be super helpful is if it could remember vehicle info for curbside pickup. I’m sways in the same vehicle and it’s a little irritating to have to enter that each time.

By

Barely functions

Absolutely garbage app that barely works. Extremely laggy, barely responds to my selections, and doesn’t have a section to enter coupon codes. Even when it works, I can never submit my order even when changing stores. I’ve switched to only using the website and only when I get coupon codes for free cheese curds after packers games.

By

Works pretty well.

Obviously Culvers will be improved as it ages but for a first release it’s pretty solid. Also I got a BOGO just for answering a couple of questions. Nice job!

By

Easy Peasy

I was a bit skeptical to try Culvers after reading reviews but I figured I’d give it a shot. Went very smoothly; only problem was slightly laggy but other than that all good.
I will be using the Culver’s app again. 😁

By

App looks nice, missing Apple Pay

I will be honest, I order food sometimes while in the car and I am craving a burger. Consider it an impulse buy. If Culvers does not support Apple Pay, no impulse buy. I will go to a place that does. Please add Apple Pay

By

App was kind of slow

Hi
I love Culvers but I would love to see Apple Pay added, also I am hoping that you guys can make Culvers run a little bit quicker
Other than that Culvers was easy to navigate and it saved my favorite order

By

App review

App is super slow and takes a couple seconds to respond to each click. Makes it super annoying trying to click through stuff because you’ll click something twice and both clicks will be 2 seconds delayed so now you’re in a whole different tab. Also prices super high 😅

By

Needs some tweaking

I was excited that Culver’s finally had an app! Using the website, I’d put everything I wanted in my “bag” and then as soon as I was on my way there, I’d place the order. I did the same through Culvers but when I tried to place the order, it kept giving me a pickup time error. I looked everywhere and tried everything and could not find a place to change the pickup time. I don’t even remember setting one in the first place. Wasted so much time and just ended up back in the website where I had to put in the whole order again. Bummer. Hope they fix that soon.

By

Love the improvements!

Culver’s - thank you for listening. I appreciate the effort that you are making to address the things that people are bringing up. It shows that you care.
My experience with Culvers has been good and definitely not like the complaints of some of these people. Makes me wonder if they just struggle with technology or are just plain cranky.
I have signed up for MyCulvers and love that my recent orders are saved AND I can setup favorite orders. Signing into MyCulvers also pre-fills my contact info and payment info - this is handy. Hopefully I will be able to save my vehicle info sometime soon.
Thanks again for the recent updates - I appreciate them.

Doesn’t tell you ahead of time when location disabled online ordering.

The first time I used Culvers to order at the only Culver’s location near my home. The ordering process was perfect. Since then it has failed 4 times in a row.

It’s very frustrating and a huge waste of time to go through the ordering process on an app, selecting all of your items and customizing every order for me and my family of 5, only to hit the checkout button and Culvers say “Sorry an error has occurred. Online ordering is unavailable at this time…” and then tells me to try ordering from another location that’s too far for me to drive.

At the very least, Culvers should run a check at the location you’re trying to order from and let you know ahead of time that the location selected isn’t accepting online orders. Not wait until you’ve added and customized 10 things in your cart and then tell you.

After the 4th time this has happened I’m done wasting my time with Culvers until they improve Culvers to check the location before allowing you to order.

Why Can’t I buy a Butterburger?

I normally order on the website since Culvers was no longer working. On both Culvers and website you can order any other sandwich as just the sandwich, but any of the beef butter burgers you have to order as a value meal? Why? I ended up getting a Rueben because I don’t want to be forced to pay for a fountain drink I don’t want!!

By

No where to let them know you are here!

Culvers offered a buy one get one deal if you entered your personal information, but it would not save my personal information regardless of multiple tries.
Also, there is nowhere in Culvers , to let them know that you are here to pick up your order, and it says that they will send you an email and to press the “I am here”, but there is nowhere in the email also to let them know you were here.
Looks like somebody developed Culvers without beta, testing it, or paying attention to detail.

By

Slow Response, App Could Be So Much Better

The response time flipping between choices and Culvers ’s recognizition leaves a lot to be desired. If putting in a Curdside order, 9:30 pm is the only choice if it is close to Closing Time. It does not tell you there are later times. For example, I attempted to place an order for 9:30 pm at 9:16 and all I got was a reponse saying, “the order won’t be ready in time” and sent me back to the Checkout page to enter in my vehicle and payment details. Again. Please fix! Also, your Rewards program could be so much better!

By

This app is problematic

My main gripe is that Culvers keeps erasing my saved payment info causing me to re-enter my credit card info for every single order now. On top of that, I have to check out several times because Culvers keeps requesting my vehicle info for carry out orders until I re-select carry out and that field disappears. Lastly Culvers is slow. It doesn’t easily register the touch of my fingers, and every button requires several button presses. You can’t easily save meals either. Usually the button is grayed out.

By

Upgrading rating

I placed an order this evening and it went mostly well, a lot better than the last time I tried. I was able to successfully complete it.

One odd thing was that it wouldn’t allow me to order soft drinks. I don’t know if the store was out or what. No explanation was offered in Culvers .

By

Needs Improvement

I was happy to see an app finally. I got to Culver’s frequently and would get a lot of use out of a good app. Unfortunately Culvers has an issue saving information such as favorite location, order history, and birthday information. I think Culvers needs to be evaluated so that these bugs can be fixed. Culver’s is the Chick-fil-A of cheeseburgers when your dining in, but Culver’s is still way behind on Culvers .

By

Please fix your app

We are getting a Culver’s near by and I would love to be able to use your app, but it is literally the worst food app I own. It’s super slow, always has issues and just all around is terrible. Take a note from chick fila. Please fix your app so I can use it in a couple months when our Culver’s opens! I would use it all the time to order ahead if that feature was actually quick and easy.

By

New former customer.

What a dumpster fire of an app. Constantly logs you out. Won’t let you change your order location. EVERY SINGLE TIME I order they screwup because Culvers does not show proper options or allow comments. I have had employees argue with me about what I wanted/ordered and what they deliver. Great burgers but not worth the hassle. If you’re going to offer an app or a website have one that works. Otherwise don’t, stick to burgers.

By

Overcook their meat 4 out of 5 times

This location sold me the first time I went there and got a BOGO Culver’s deluxe. It was so perfectly cooked and tasty. I’ve been there 4 more times since and every single time it’s overcooked patties that have no flavor. It’s like eating a well done steak 🤢 Also, almost no mushrooms are used even when ordering a triple stack mushroom swiss. Almost $20 for that burger! And can’t even fork out additional mushrooms? I thought this was going to be an in n out competitor after that first run.. but ever since, it’s been disappointment after disappointment. The cheese curds are currently all that is consistently good at the location in Lake Park, North Palm Beach, FL. I’ll give the Jupiter location a try next. But as of now, even 2 stars is a stretch. I really wanted to love this place because we need in n out style burgers in Florida!!! For now, the consistency just isn’t there. So much potential tho, for sure! Maybe ask us how cooked we like our burgers? I like a good medium. Burgers should still be juicy and flavorful and tender and not dry, overcooked slabs of leathery meat. I hope they read this and get things fixed.

By

Pretty app, could be better

I wanted to try online ordering, as only my first couple drive-thru visits came as what I ordered. I only add extra onions & mayonnaise to hamburger, extra salt to pretzel bites, but no exaggeration after countless visits, I haven’t gotten it made right again 😕

So I thought I’d try ordering on Culvers , but turns out you can’t add extra anything to your order? This seems like an easy addition, (but honestly what do I know about making an app). I can only hope my thoughts will be considered. Thank you for listening. Consistently great tasting food, surprisingly even the crinkle fries, and those are truly disappointing anywhere else.

PS; If you do make this change, please include an option for extra salt for pretzels. This is because by the time I get them home, the salt has already melted because it’s so fine. Salt choice is perfect though!

EDIT: wow, you can’t even order more than 2 milkshake mix-ins either, but on the website you can..? Curious 🤨

By

Good thing the food tastes good

It’s still a bit buggy. Spent time putting an order together then cursor got stuck in one of the vehicle fields. Restarted Culvers , then I realized Culvers (at far as I can tell) save payment info. The payment settings has no way to pre-save payment info. And then there’s no Apple Pay.

Ultimately, just got too frustrated and uninstalled Culvers . Developers should at the very least achieve feature parity with competing restaurants apps upon release, especially after it took quite a while to released one in the first place.

By

Worked great for 2 months then stopped working

After 2 months of using it, they decided to remove the screen that actually allows you to place the order, so all Culvers is good for now is adding items to the basket and then being let down when there’s no option to actually order and pay for them. they even tease you by allowing you to select a pickup time and location, but when you try to scroll down to the place order button, it’s not there.

By

Doesn’t keep your order in app

Just tried this for the first time and entered 4 customized orders. I was all signed in and got to the submit button. I waited for 5 minutes to submit as I live 12 minutes away and it said it would take 7 minutes. During that time, Culvers completely cleared my order even though I didn’t close Culvers . Now I am waiting in the drive in line as that will be shorter than reentering my order. I use all kinds of other restaurant apps, have not seen this before.

Also, the UI is not good. If you select a hamburger and want to add cheese, you can’t, you have to exit out and select a cheeseburger. Same for trying to convert to a value basket.

By

Slow response time, clunky UI

Culvers has a lot of potential, but unfortunately, I have to say that my experience has been frustrating. The response time is painfully slow, making simple tasks feel like a chore. The interface is overly complicated and somewhat difficult to navigate. For example, when selecting “Curdside” or “Carryout”, it’s not clear which state is the selected one -blue or white? I guessed and got the wrong one. Overall, I hope to see improvements in both speed and usability in future updates.

By

Couple things

Honestly, I’d say Culvers is better than others I use more often. Except for 2 things.
We are traveling. While Culvers told me a particular location was closed (it’s Easter) I got all the way through building an order at another location (including having to type in my payment details. Why not Apple Pay that’s already saved on my device??) for it to tell me that this location was closed as well…

By

Horrible App, Great Restaurant

Amazed that as careful with their reputation as Culver’s is, that they released Culvers. The website ordering experience isn’t great, but it’s a million times easier and faster than Culvers. Culvers is extremely laggy and can lead to accidental button presses, can only add 2 choices to mixers, etc.. Culvers lagged and I accidentally added a favorite order 3 times to my cart. It takes about 15 seconds to remove a single item, and there’s no bulk “clear cart” option or way to start over. Gave up trying to remove 18 items from my cart and went back to the website.

Culvers needs serious UX evaluation and optimization to be usable. It feels like they tried to build this in-house instead of hiring professional app developers, or decided to put a skin on top of an existing set of systems instead of starting with a
mobile-first mindset.

Culvers is an unfortunate representation of a great restaurant.

By

App doesn’t work as well as the website

If I place my order on the Culver’s website, my location has a curbside pick up option. My location does not have that option on Culvers . My location offers that though. Also, when I place an order on the website, it says six minutes until ready. On the Culver’s app, the wait times offered are longer. Why would there be such a discrepancy between ordering through Culvers and through the website???

By

Don’t see why people are having a problem with this App.

Don’t see why people are having a problem with Culvers, I used it for the first time today and found it very easy to use.
So much better then ordering from the website.
Thanks this app for finally having an app to order.
Thanks Adrian this app you are the Best!!
