Scam app

2024-09-13

According to the support team, Liven used to be called Resolutty, which no longer exists. I tried Resolutty - it was janky and offered minimal useful information in a really boring way. I recently remembered that I had paid for Resolutty content and didn’t finish the course, so I tried to open Reaolutty, and it didn’t work. I downloaded Liven but couldn’t log in. Liven said that my account “may have been deleted.” (It appears that is the case.)

The developer clearly had no plan to switch over user accounts. They didn’t inform me that they were doing away with Resolutty and replacing it with a new app (this one), so it doesn’t seem like I’ll get to finish my Resolutty course.

It’s not worth subscribing or paying anything for Liven or any app from this developer I believe. Resolutty offered minimal helpful content, and the developer clearly just doesn’t care about customers (or maybe even has a sound business plan). They’re just taking money and recycling poorly written material. Try an actually helpful app! Don’t fall for the Instagram ads.

Very low quality, shady refund policy

2024-09-13

Like others have said, this is essentially a scam. The content in the daily lessons is extremely basic (with questionable accuracy, at times) and it's obvious that the recommendations were not written by anyone with clinical qualifications. I did not learn anything new during the 7 consecutive days I followed the "program" in order to qualify for my "Money Back Guarantee," which constituted 25% of the entire ADHD lesson content. What then, would the remaining 5 months of my 6-month subscription be paying for if the core content is completed in the first month? No idea. The daily tasks section is barely usable, especially when there are other apps out there that support habit tracking for free or for much less than this but have leagues more functionality. Do yourself a favor and Google it before you purchase... I usually research things more thoroughly, but I made a grave mistake with an impulse purchase here and now I'm waiting over a week to hear back from customer support about my refund.

I should have read the reviews…

2024-09-13

This was an impulse purchase. Can anyone else relate? I should have checked the reviews. I would’ve never bought this. As someone with ADHD who has been doing work on themselves, Liven is overly simplistic. If you’re just learning to handle ADHD, I rate Liven a two out of five. as soon as I started using Liven , it was not user-friendly you are restricted by day and you can’t go back or see what’s coming up. Apparently the designers have never had ADHD. I am going to try to see if Liven gets better because I already paid for 3 months. I’m not expecting much. There are better apps out there. Oh and their upsells? I bought them purely bc I wanted to see how far they’d go. Talk about a money grab. Upsells not worth the price. Please don’t waste your money. Oh I messaged them 3 days ago on how to cancel because it’s NOT intuitive and you can’t cancel in Liven . Still haven’t heard back. I don’t want to pay for Liven. If it was $2/month total, I might. With the ebooks included as resources. Summary, you need more value on a product you are going to charge a monthly fee this high. Your app isn’t there yet so I suggest a higher discount because these negative reviews are stacking up.

Tough to cancel, with no warning on renewal

2024-09-13

I purchased the “trial” after being led to it via an advertisement. I attempted to use Liven but realized quite quickly that I just didn’t need to learn about theory, I was easily bored with the apps presentation, when I put it down I never wanted to pick it back up to continue to learn. Most of the information was very basic stuff I already I knew through previous education (having 2 separate bachelors degrees in science), along with years of living with ADHD and doing my own research. I actually only used Liven for a week or so and have paid for 3 months because I forgot to cancel as this apps subscription does not show under your current Apple ID subscriptions where all other subscriptions show. I asked for a refund and subscription cancelation and they required me to explain to them why I was canceling. So I sent the an email with all the information above. The offered me a “50% refund as a token of their appreciation and for my patients and understanding”, and tried to offer free “Upsells” that I just don’t want or need. Overall it was a terrible experience and a waste of $150. I definitely don’t want to experience anything like this in the future. Please do not use Liven.

Thieves!!!

2024-09-13

If I could give negative 5 stars I would! I never do reviews but I’m at my wits end and want to protect others from their corruption! I told the company I never authorized charges and they REFUSE to compensate me. After I sent them an email, they responded about not refunding me, but right afterwards, they are now trying to charge me AGAIN! This is only 2 business days later!! (last charge was Friday of last week new charge appeared today, Tuesday)$60 each time! I don’t have Liven on my phone and never used it!!! It’s not even under my app subscriptions in my iPhone (their link directs you check under iPhone subscriptions). They are frauds and thieves and causing a hardship and refuse to help me! I will never recommend them to anyone. Don’t fall for their scam!! I had to cancel my card and go jump through so many hoops to try and protect my money. They have even made another attempt I was able to block, so that would have been a total of 4 unauthorized charges within a 3 weeks time span! 3 of the 4 were within LESS THAN ONE WEEK apart! STAY AWAY! I am reporting them to BBB and may need a lawyer because I don’t know when it will all end. I can’t afford $100’s of dollars every week for something I NEVER used and NEVER authorized!

Ads and quiz are misleading

2024-09-13

I got this app thinking it was going to be a good supplement to another goals-oriented app I use. The ads I saw made this app seem like it would help you create routines based on quiz answers, but instead of sending a routine or information about your quiz results as promised, the quiz dumps you into a paywall to use Liven . I was naive enough to pay for access thinking it would show me my personalized results in Liven . Instead, Liven turned out to be disappointing; at least in the procrastination section, the user does the heavy lifting to populate daily goals, and the suggestions are extremely limited, and none of the exercises feel personal or even slightly aligned to the quiz that funneled me in. It’s so similar to other apps I’ve given up on that I decided to cancel the subscription an hour in, but was told by customer service that they don’t give refunds for “personal reasons” (aka not feeling that Liven delivered what was advertised). No free trial and the amount of effort this app put into their funnel instead of into Liven itself… I’m waving the red flag in hopes that people who really need help with goals and mental health won’t end up in my situation. There are way more apps out there with more considerate and robust features and onboarding.

Scam - don’t do it.

2024-09-13

Liven is a scam. They charged me $99 in May, where it NEVER shows on my Apple ID like every other app/subscription. There was nowhere on Liven I could figure out how to cancel the subscription so I didn’t think I would have a renewal (also sketchy). I asked for a refund and was refused. They said they had permission from my Apple ID but can’t seem to explain why it doesn’t show anywhere in my subscriptions or in Liven ? I don’t consider that permission. I was then under the impression I had at LEAST a year because $99 is ridiculously expensive. And it doesn’t show up in my subscriptions so there was no way to know otherwise. I find out last night this was for 3 MONTHS??? And now it’s $59 for a LIFETIME? So what did I get charged $99 for? Such a scam. The customer service responded but didn’t offer any assistance either time. Just a “sorry we tricked you and now it’s way less expensive but wasn’t when we took your money”. I am extremely unsatisfied with Liven. Not only with the way they conduct business, but the fact that the few times I tried to use it, I got nothing out of it. Didn’t learn anything new. I would highly advise to not give Liven any of your money. Nice to see someone else was offered a refund but neither time I was so I wouldn’t trust that as an option.

Money grab-should not be a paid app

2024-09-13

I am very disappointed that I purchased Liven and am requesting a refund. You can only complete items once every 24 hours. That seems absurd for a paid app. My schedule changes daily and I never know when I’m going to have free time, so for instance, I didn’t get to work in Liven until after 11 pm last night. I assumed it was fine since it was still yesterday but it’s now tomorrow and I’m still unable to move on and if I want to be able to complete items during the day rather than after 11pm every night, I have to skip today all together. The only reasoning I can deduct from this is that you want users to be forced to renew their memberships to get thru the material, so you ensure they can only do so much at once. This feature alone was enough to cause me to pursue a refund.

In addition to that, Liven is also lacking in features. For a paid app, there should be a lot more content and resources. The mood options are limited and I cannot go back and look thru any of my mood journal entries or course assignment submissions. This further supports my theory that Liven is just a money grab.

I think this is a good starting idea; I don’t think it’s ready to be a paid app. It does not deliver what it promises and it’s limited content and capabilities is very frustrating and much more representative of a free app.

Not Personalized, Inattentive Customer Support

2024-09-21

I took a quiz online from an Instagram ad to receive personalized content for my situation and needs of procrastination. The plan I received was very generic and activities to program did not fit my needs. There was no real instruction on how to use Liven , and certain parts I didn’t feel were relevant to me, yet I had to answer the prompts and do the lessons (which was high level content most people would be familiar with) before I could move on. Additionally, it repeated the same day twice, and the wording in several moments felt awkward. I reached out to customer service for a refund but they refused it, saying it was actually personal to me. They didn’t correct the bug I experienced, they also did not answer several parts of my email and questions after they denied me the refund. do NOT recommend. Sleep / focus sounds are nice and the concept itself is great, but this company lacks integrity in my experience.

Credit Card Fraud

2024-09-13

I don't normally write reviews for apps, but I have to for this one. I used Liven for about 20 minutes before I decided it was junk. Definitely not what I thought it was from the advertisement. The customized plan is not customize. It is cookie cutter.

Also, I thought I had canceled the trial, but I have not (admittedly that is my fault). I didn't catch the reoccurring charge for a few months. I went into cancel the subscription and was unable to because for some reason the email address that I use was not on file when I contacted customer service they told me they wanted the first six digits of my credit card and the last four digits in order to look up my account. That is a lot of credit card information to give someone via chat online, which was the only way to contact them.

It's looking like I am going to have to cancel my card to get them to stop charging me for something I didn't want, didn't work, and honestly unsure at this point if they are even legit.

WORST APP EVER DO NOT BUY

2024-09-13

I rarely ever write reviews, however. This “this app” app tries to show you that you can get help and that they care about your well being. It’s all a front just to get money from you. I have downloaded Liven , used Liven , have not received anything beneficial from it and wanted to stop using Liven and get a refund. I asked them and their customer service immediately refused because I haven’t met their terms. Their 3 terms are to contact/email them about refund within 30 days. Use Liven consecutively for 7 days. Then to show proof with screenshots that you have used Liven for the 7 days. I have done all 3, and after emailing them after 7 days, they didn’t care, and just said that “you didn’t meet the 3 requirements”. They’re thief’s and just want to take your money. They don’t care about your well being, nor anything you say after! Don’t even care that their platform isn’t helping anyone whatsoever. DO NOT DOWNLOAD NOR PAY THEM ANY MONEY! THEY WANT TO STEAL MONEY AND WHEN YOU TRY TO ASK FOR A REFUND THEY WILL REFUSE NO MATTER WHAT.

This company takes advantage

2024-09-13

This company that claims to improve the lives of people with executive function issues is actually taking advantage of them. I canceled this within the first week because I found it to be time-consuming and not helpful. I was still charged the following month $59 when I contacted customer service to have my money returned, they gave me a runaround and kept requesting that I tell them why I wanted to cancel which I really don’t think was necessary. They refused my request for reimbursement because I didn’t respond to their email in enough time I’m talking about a matter of a day. I have never had to deal with such a runaround getting my money returned to me. I called the customer service again today and basically told them that I was going leave a bad review and call the Better Business Bureau, then they told me that, my account was canceled and that my money was going to be returned to me. I checked my PayPal account and the money is processing back now. This has been very, very stressful. Maybe Liven will help some people, but beware of this companies predatory practices.

TERRIBLE APP! And quite possibly a scam

2024-09-13

Liven doesn’t do what it promised. I took a quiz and was told I would receive a personalized plan of action in my email, but there was no email or plan. When I did download Liven and log into my account, there was no report there either.

The features of Liven are very, very poorly thought out, with little room to personalize the features. For example, I was supposed to choose tasks I wanted to complete—the closest option was “clean house,” but there was no way to make it more specific (e.g., wash dishes, clear off table, clean bathroom). “Clean house” is not going to help anyone who procrastinates take action. Liven is so poorly thought out that it makes me wonder about whether it’s just a cover for some type of scam.

I contacted them for a refund, and to their credit they responded promptly, but they wrote me back that they had canceled my subscription (I signed up for one month only – I did not sign up for a subscription!). I wrote again reiterating that I wanted a refund of what I had already paid (I used Liven for less than an hour). I am still waiting for them to respond… I made a complaint to Apple.

Does not offer what it advertises

2024-09-04

I unfortunately experienced what many others here have. During the onboarding for Liven, you are promised a personalized plan, but what you receive is a very limited user interface with no personalization, minimal resources, and a basic daily mood tracker. The lessons have many typos, and the advice they give is all over the place.

I’ve contacted support several times for a refund given that Liven does not provide what it advertises. The refund policy is incredibly suspect, stating that they don’t allow refunds for “personal reasons” which they state are Liven not meeting expectations.

I usually research more before purchasing an app, but I was pretty desperate to break my cycles and have some support since I can’t currently access therapy. I’m hoping that leaving this review will give others pause to stop and evaluate. There are free apps and resources that provide much more than Liven. I wish it had provided what it said it would.

Just another mindfulness app

2024-09-28

Exactly the same thing as Sensa. Same daily exercises. Same half-baked user interface with obvious glitches, non-intuitive functionality, inability to avoid erasing progress in an exercise if you want to back out of something halfway through a survey. Same light-on-content daily programs. Same frustrating sales pitch where they tell you it’s on sale, you make the purchase, and then they try to sell you a bunch more stuff, which causes you to wonder, “how much of this stuff do I actually have to buy for the purchase to be worthwhile?”

There’s value in any opportunity or routine of checking in on yourself and deliberately relating to your emotions and these apps do help with that. But the crappy UX, very light content, and sales pitch makes them feel scammy. I’ll keep using this one but I think writing about your thoughts in a journal for five minutes over breakfast is cheaper and at least as effective as using one of these apps. Save your money for therapy copays.

Not for me.

2024-10-11

I was a bit disappointed with the this app app after subscribing for $30 per month. While the money-back guarantee policy is standard, I was unable to get a refund despite my dissatisfaction, as the policy states they cannot provide refunds due to "personal or financial reasons” as the customer rep told me.

The daily content and checklists felt quite basic, with limited substance per day considering the monthly subscription cost. I also found the personal quiz to have little relevance to the actual content provided, which could have made the experience more tailored and useful.

Overall, I felt the value did not quite match the $30 monthly fee. A preview of the content before subscribing would have been helpful to set realistic expectations. While Liven seems fine for some users, in my experience it felt a bit lacking and slightly deceptive in terms of the connection between the quiz and the content delivered.

Horrible customer service.

2024-09-28

Sorry Liven wasn’t what it was advertised as. It wasn’t made clear that you had to request a cancellation through their site. For something aimed at ADHD patients you would think those processes would be clearer. I have emailed them 6 times and yet no response. I called the number on the PayPal app and got to a rep that obviously didn’t want to be at work that day. He yelled at me because I couldn’t hear him well and then said he put in request to cancel my account and I said what about the refund and he quickly said what warrants a refund? I said the fact that I don’t want the services and you just pulled the money out of my account yesterday so if we are canceling today I should get a refund. he told me that I would have an email with my cancellation request and I would get a email once I made a decision about the refund. I have not received any emails from any part of their company yet.

So much potential…

2024-08-31

As a mental health counselor, I love the premise of Liven and believe it is spot on with how it guides people through traumatic experiences and processing repressed emotions from their childhood. However, the way that they structure the subscription and make it a pain to cancel is just a really poor business model. They be would be much better off in the long run to just make it like every other app out there where you can easily cancel it through your apple account. People are subconsciously going to just feel put off by any subscription that requires you to send an email to cancel it and that’s a shame considering Liven has so much potential to help a lot of people. Additionally, perhaps I am just missing something but I cannot figure out how to view my previous days’ journal entries which kind of defeats the whole purpose of a journal. I think if they fixed these 2 things it’d be an easy 5 stars!

Customer Support Helpful

2024-08-31

The this app app has a great premise, but Liven is not ready for prime time. You receive ads for up-sells before you get access to the real content. For $29 per month, the up-sells should be included. You complete questionnaires which are supposed to personalize Liven to your needs. It does not. Then, you are told to set goals from 5 or so categories, but there are few options in each category to choose from. If none of the options apply to your situation, you still must select one to proceed. There is no option to personalize. I thought I must be missing something, but there was no way to find out unless I selected answers that did not fit my situation. I reached out to their customer support, and a week later, reached out again to see if they received my first inquiry. I received a response asking if I would rather receive a few of their up-sells than a refund. I responded that I wanted a refund. I did receive notice of a refund. I hope Liven developer can program a lot more personalization into Liven (and slow down on the up-sell advertisements). I had been willing to pay a premium for what they promised. I wish Liven developer well as they continue to make improvements to their app!

Quality and speedy customer service

2024-10-11

While Liven wasn’t what I needed, it could be useful to some. I do wish Liven could be more personalized and I’d probably try it again if it was updated. I reached out to customer service pretty quickly after downloading when I realized it wouldn’t work for what I was trying to achieve. They responded almost immediately and brought to my attention that the terms and conditions state that expectations not being met does not qualify under the conditions for satisfaction guaranteed refund. They were kind enough to cancel my subscription and refund me anyway and I’m very grateful for that. The matter was resolved very quickly and kindly. I would use their services again in the future because of customer support.

Premise is great, but feels like its missing

2024-08-31

The premise of Liven is awesome. But the lessons sometimes feel like are missing something like examples or more information. The moods options are too generic or specific. There are only six: Angry, excited, sad, calm, happy, stressed. Sometimes I don’t feel like any of those. Maybe anxious or depressed, worried, or even neutral. The Daily activities could also have an update. Like for example, if you’re adding a custom activity/task, it should be saved as a custom option so that you don’t have to write it again the next day.
Anyway, I believe Liven has a lot of potential and I want to continue using it and giving it a try.

LIVEN =HOPE

2024-09-13

I have to say I was skeptical about starting the program. But I believe I’m in my sixth day and it has really helped me a lot with every day task completion and understanding why I do what I do.

For example, why do I procrastinate? I always thought it was laziness, but I’m learning more about perfectionism and really getting to the root of, why I do procrastinate and how to remedy it.

I am grateful for Liven. It’s just the beginning for me and I am learning so much. You will get out of it what you put into it. I really enjoy the short courses. It’s doable , short and to the point so it’s not a lot of reading every day, it’s easy to understand and everything is explained thoroughly then it is up to you to put it into action.
I’m excited for what the future holds. I do feel better about myself after only six days! If you’re having difficulties with organization, completing tasks, or have an ADHD diagnosis, Liven is an excellent way to change your life. How do I know this? It has helped me so much in a short period of time and I have tried many things and they didn’t work, but this is really working for me.
Thank you,

Dr. I

Knowledge and skills! Highly recommended!

2024-10-11

So- I was diagnosed with Combined ADHD at age 58, not long ago. I am fascinated with the human brain and mind interconnection. So- of course- I hyper focused on ways to manage it. That lead me to Liven.
Liven is sensational at educating my ADHD brain. I was able to change the focus of Liven to better understand my specific reason for procrastinating. Once I complete the Procrastination and Dopamine course, I will return to the main ADHD course.
Liven provides structure yet allows for personal preferences and changes in priorities while learning.
It incorporates reading, quizzes, self selected daily tasks, and positive feedback to help me make progress in managing ADHD.
I am finding Liven very helpful, fun, and encouraging. Highly recommended for anyone newly diagnosed or simply interested in how the brain and mind work to better manage the symptoms of ADHD.

Insightful & Kindly Challenging

2024-10-11

If you are aware that you need to improve your outlook about yourself, others and life in general, Liven is for you❣️Usually, I don’t sign up with apps which require payment. At least this one gives a sizable initial discount so that you can decide whether its plan is personally relatable. (Actually, the price is quite affordable. I can be a miser).😁When compared to the help I’ve received from my therapist, this far exceeds my expectations. If you are having to take a back seat in order to survive daily responsibilities, Liven will help you value and evaluate your own personal needs. That way, you’ll release the mental pressure of feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders. Give it a try. Why? Because you’re WORTH it❣️

Game Changer for my daily life

2024-10-11

I recently started using the Livin app, and I can confidently say it has transformed the way I manage my daily tasks and goals. The interface is user-friendly and visually appealing, making it easy to navigate through various features.

One of my favorite aspects of Liven is the personalized goal-setting feature, which allows me to break down my long-term goals into manageable daily tasks. The reminders are a lifesaver and help keep me accountable. I also love the community aspect; connecting with others who have similar goals has been incredibly motivating.

Liven is constantly being updated based on user feedback, showing that the developers truly care about improving the experience. Overall, Livin has made my life more organized and productive, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their routine.
