I have to update this thing every other day, it’s starting to get pretty annoying. If it was every other week or month it’d be fine but no. Every time I open YachtWave I’m updating it and I use it for day to day work. It’s definitely not geared towards sportfishers at all mainly large pleasure yachts my ask is it slow down on the daily updates and make it week to week, and add some stuff in for us fisherman!
Overall it seems like a good app although keyboard functionality needs work. So if you’re using the notes category and you have a list of items there’s no way to add a line in the middle of the list.
Love YachtWave . Lot of potential. Using it for maintenance records but also various checklists, such as departure.
One very NEGATIVE feature/bug: if YachtWave requires an update, but we are leaving anchorage in the middle of nowhere to avoid a storm, YachtWave keeps asking for an update with every click of a button. Filling a checklist in these conditions is impossible. This is an irresponsible “feature” for a marine app that should stay lightweight and focus on the critical mission. I may start looking for other apps to do the checklists.
One minor bug with the checklist: if you assign tasks, you can’t see who fulfilled the task. You have to exit the checklist and get back into it to update. This defeats the purpose of distributed tasks.
Downloaded YachtWave last week and started populating everything from my boat data, maintenance history and future tasks. This is a great app to consolidate all records and future maintenance tasks. Would highly recommend.
YachtWave is well layed out and detailed. But the best part is feedback is very fast and updates and changes are pushed out quickly.

YachtWave has kept my maintenance organized. I also put all my part numbers in here so it makes it easy at reorder time. If I ever decide to sell my boat I am sure YachtWave will be a huge selling point.

We’ve found YachtWave to be a great tool to help keep up with service records, and to-do tasks. It’s great to have our information organized and have dates available on our mobile devices. Being able to set and schedule recurring maintenance items will be extremely useful. This is an easy app to load and simple to use. I did have a question about tasks. I emailed the help desk and had an immediate answer to my question. I hope future versions will provide an option to upload photos and store important documents and maintenance sales receipts. Thanks for a great app!
Exactly what I was looking for! An app that tracks your reoccurring maintenance tasks for your engines and boat. Now with a quick glance I can see what maintenance is due this month. Very user friendly app with great user interface. Won’t miss a maintenance cycle with this easy to use app!
I have to say I have never had as good of an experience with an app and app developer as I have with this one. this app is made for boaters by boaters. I really appreciate the communication and dedication to it. I have tried many apps to try and get this functionality but this one does what it really needs to do. Nice job!
If you own or manage a boat, you have to have YachtWave. It tracks all of your equipment, maintenance, due dates, tasks, inventory and is accessible by the Capt., crew and boat owner.
Recently, my boat owner was away from home and needed an impeller for the generator. He was able to open YachtWave and see the inventory, which included generator impeller, and the location was stored.
If you manage multiple boats, the reminders are very helpful to keep you on schedule. I have yet to use the AI, but I have high confidence. It will be a great addition.
To be clear, I have never offered a review on an app, but I feel so strongly about this one, I wanted to share with my fellow captains and boaters.
I have been looking for a maintenance logger for a long time. I refuse to write thing in a journal and most software I tried was either designed for fleet (read expensive) or had major usability issues. YachtWave covers the logs perfectly and other features like inventory is a great plus. Checklists and ability to delegate things is also pretty cool.
I’ve been looking for a way to track parts, inventory and maintenance in one place, and so far I’m really impressed with YachtWave. I love that you can set recurring or one-time tasks, manage checklists (like departure and arrival to-dos), and compile notes, photos, serial numbers, manuals and more. And customer service is great - responsive and helpful. Looking forward to using this as we recommission our boat this spring!
Finally, someone has created a really useful app for boaters! It has everything you may want. It’s easy to enter information about every aspect of your boat including a logbook. Support is immediate and helpful. Not that you’re going to need much of it. A big question is how can this be free? I shouldn’t ask that but am because it has all the benefits of what you might ask for in a paid app.
YachtWave has allowed me, a newer “captain” to keep everything in one spot. Although YachtWave is incredible, the customer service is even better. I had an issue, self inflicted I’m sure, so I contacted YachtWave . I received a response back, on a holiday and then continued follow ups on how the issue was corrected. So look no further if you want a great app to consolidate everything about your boat and backed by outstanding customer service.
