Parrot: AI Voice Generator Reviews

This is one of the better AI voice modulation systems I’ve ever used, and it’s pretty easy to use, but after the first night I paid for pro features there’s no longer any option to remove the watermark. Also the process times rarely seem to be any noticeably faster than the non premium. Anybody know what’s up with the removing watermarks option? That is currently my main concern.

Also, if you get a pretty good result and just want to change one typo there is no option to simply edit your result. If you redo the exact same text it might some completely different (and in my case the result was much worse), which leads you to trying again and again but never quite getting the inflection of the original

I have created several videos saying random things. The videos are generally pretty good, but simple inspection can identify that the video is generated. That is not a deal breaker, but sometimes you need to reword something the sound you are looking for instead of the actual words or phrase.

An issue is sometimes voices such as the Rock disappears from the bottom section where all the people are listed and only shows at the top. On the top in the template section there is no controls to adjust things such as captions and watermark.

I have paid for the pro features, but I am unable to restore purchases when I use my ipad.

They are a good app that has so many things you can do about the bad thing is that you have to pay for the trial and the free trial is only three days so that’s a bad part you shouldn’t download Parrot that the good side is that you can still do it without having a trial but there’s somethings you can’t do but still everything is good on Parrot everything’s is really awesome. You can tell your family I need to put things you want them to say and everything.

I originally saw Parrot on TikTok. I downloaded it and I had a lottt of fun making the clips. I hopped in the discord server and the community is amazing. The devs have been listening to the community on the server and are working hard to fulfill new things people are suggesting. Please keep in mind Parrot is still new. There aren’t many options to pick from, but it’s still a lot of fun to mess around on! 10/10 app and 10/10 devs!

Parrot provides endless fun and works well. I also want to thank the creator for updating and fixing an issue. With an IPhone mini I was not able to access the save tab when I used close to the max character count. I emailed him and he requested a screen shot to understand the problem. He fixed it shortly thereafter. Thanks for listening and keep up the good work. Great product and worth the price. 👍

Having way too much fun to prank my girlfriend with this. I’ve used it to send her text messages in the voices of some of her favorite Celebs and she keeps falling for it lol. Always makes her laugh. The text to speech is so realistic and it’s a blast to see her reaction. In most apps, you can’t really enjoy it if you don’t pay for the sub trip but that’s not the case with Parrot, you can do many things without the subscription the subscription doesn’t do many things so I don’t recommend buying it only if you wanna add captions or take out the mark normally AI apps like this don’t work, but this one’s pretty good

I loved Parrot, it was so fun and great. Until it asked me if I had Discord? I'm sorry, but isn't Discord like 17+? If you're going to require discord on Parrot, please make it 17+! (And when I put 17+ I mean 17 years old and up.) This makes kids like me who can't even get Roblox because it's 12+ VERY disappointed 😔. All I was trying to do was make my life more fun. So please, take this into consideration because there's still younger kids who want to have fun but can't with your app. Thank you.

I have always wanted an app like this bc I’ve seen similar things but they are either hard to find or very expensive this is neither. The fact I can make anyone say anything is awesome and I love Parrot very much. Could always be better but I’m content with it as it is

Parrot doesn’t have too many people to choose from yet, but overall, I’ve been using the Bella porche audio and it’s actually really good ! sometimes the audio comes out a little wonky, but usually if you redo it, it’ll be pretty accurate. i use it for animation voice overs, so for my needs, I like it !

Paid for the unlimited, first ai generation, flawless. Can’t wait for you to add more voices. Also it would be cool in the future if you could take a sample of let’s say my friends voice recording, and make a speech to text generator, that would be incredible. Thanks again.

The AI is good but there’s a limited choice of celebrities. It could improve by having more people to choose from and one of my biggest irritations is how everything is go to pro. I wish there was more freedom in the free version but I still understand how they make money.

Most of the time it works pretty well. Sometimes though I swear someone is on the server drunk and recording their own voice (slurred speech that sounds nothing like the character used). Did this on Kanye so many times in a row that I just gave up trying to even use him. Seems to be getting worse on everything also.

I did this to prank a friend and decided to just use still. I typed this message and lip sync was like a bad Chinese over dub.

“Look Bernie, I’m getting pretty tired of you calling off all the time. Bernie your fired”

Besides that it is novel and cool. It WILL only get better. Since this is Elons app had had an Intern create. I’m sure once Elon touches it, it will be great. He had to crash a few rockets to land two.

I think this is what they used on tiktok. Can I please stop getting the demo every time I open Parrot like ok the first time I tried Parrot it’s a good intro but like I don’t want to have to see the demo video every time I open Parrot

Overall it is a very cool and funny app but there could be more voices like the rock. Another improvement could be mr beast maybe you could change his voice to sound loud and exciting like how he sounds in the start of his videos. Also sometimes at the end of the recording they will ether sound really high pitched or like a high pitched Indian girl.

Half of my responses to people now are videos from Parrot. It’s addicting getting into the mind of these people and making them say things that sound real coming from them but are hilarious.

This is the kind of appthat I would pay for just to support the creators for not being greedy and allowing people to have fun without making them pay, truly a masterpiece

Probably my favorite app ever however I had to cancel my subscription. I’m sure a $5 loss a month is nothing to you but I thought that would solve my problem. Whenever I create a video it just load and loads and never finishes. I would purchase the subscription again but I’m sure that won’t even fix the issue. I love Parrot so much and I’m really bummed out I can’t even use it. It’s my go to when I’m bored. Whatever else will I do with my time. ❤️

Maybe add a record section where you could either record, or upload videos and files and convert them into an ai for speech, also, im waiting on a sonic tts, cant wait! and no, this is not a bot. (suprisingly.)

I bought Parrot permanently so I could send funny videos to my friends, but Parrot doesn’t really do anything right. I did one Ben Shapiro one that was decent at most, but the rest that I’ve done are pretty bad. Parrot can do 3 things:

1. Do the audio
2. Do an still image or video
3. Add captions
4. Delete watermarks

(If u have the paid version)

Usually I want all of these options selected to make something of quality, but it comes out with a glitchy video, no captions, all the water marks on and a whole frame sponsoring themselves at the end of the video. On top of that the most important thing which is the AI voice is in weird pitches, horrible pronunciation, bad pauses and the voice barely sound like the person I’ve selected. Honestly Parrot need to get updated and if not I recommend not getting it at all.

Absolutely would pay for this application. When manifesting, Parrot allows me to create my own content to be able to use as a tool for creating a feel of having a specific sound and recording at by simply tapping my phone and using the applications suggestions and other features.!
Highly recommended and definitely worth the effort. Guarantee that anyone who wants to bring their desires into reality will have success with Parrot!

I like how the voices are actually realistic sounding and they include a video that makes it 10 times more funny. They allow profanity in them and are easy to use as well. Parrot used to be terrible in speed and upload times and purchases wouldn’t work but they came back and it works amazingly now, so I’m glad I waited to review until now because they got their 5 stars.

I like this app because it is easy to use and it is funny to send back and fourth to my friends. My favorite character is spongebob because he can do different tones well, he us realistic, it works well, and It can be really finny to have a cartoon character talk about people.

I’ve seen so far it works smoothly and well. It does have a limit of 300 characters but not a bad deal at all. Also, FYI if you don’t buy the premium version right away, they will offer you 50% off in a little bit.

My wife downloaded it and showed me what it could and it was interesting so I downloaded and got the year subscription. Only when I went to make my first video it was in some unknown language. I thought that was weird but oh well let’s try again and after writing my message I hit continue it asked me if I wanted to go pro. Again I thought that’s weird so I hit restore purchase, it worked and it took me to the video where a different celebrity said the same thing in that other language. This exact series of events happened like 6 times trying to get it to work until I gave up and uninstalled Parrot . Later I tried again I hit restore like three times before it would let me even use the free celebrities. And after confirming that they didn’t ever charge me for the first one year subscription I did the week instead. It worked I loaded my message the video started. And the celebrity said something incoherent that was nothing even close to what I entered. I get that this is a time waster but I thought I would be enjoying the wasted time not getting irritated that I wasted it on something so frustrating.

Parrot was great. Had it for a few days got the premium version. Then it started acting crazy. I’d type in something and then it would say something completely different and using a different character voice. I deleted Parrot in hopes that it would fix the issue. Alls it did was take away my premium status. I tried to restore purchase multiple times but that did not work. They require you to go on discord for their customer support. Lots of people having the same issue. Only heard from two people whom I’m not even sure if they work for Parrot. One gave me a generic answer that did not help. The other asked for my user name. Which I gave and never heard back. I plan on writing as many bad reviews until they either refund me or get me my premium service back. It’s been 5 days already.

First, Parrot was working perfectly. I was having a blast. I went ahead and spent $30 to grab the lifetime premium option and I had no complaints. After a few days, Parrot glitched a bit and I thought a fresh reinstall would do the trick. But it didn’t. Parrot has the option to restore purchases, and when clicked, it says it worked, but it doesn’t actually DO anything. It still tells me - you need premium for that.

Reaching out to the developers for it, I received a mostly “that’s weird” response, and nothing further.

I lost $30. I won’t outright say it’s a scam because when it works, it really does as advertised. But there’s a serious glitch in the programming.

Don’t waste your time or your money on premium. There are not that many voices since a few of them are doubled to make it look like there are more. A lot of the voices sound like the same person and not like who they are supposed too. The tones and tempos are way off. A few of them are good, if you play around with comas and periods to make it match the tempo of the person. Then half of them won’t work at all. They just keep saying “tanking longer than usual” and don’t go anywhere.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you. This needs allllllloooooooottttttt of work to be worth even $2.

It's been a while since I used Parrot because it stopped working as it used to. But I recently downloaded to see if it was good again and it is.

Question: Is there a reason you guys removed RJ? He seemed to be the only good realistic voice on Parrot when he was usable. Is there anyway you can add him back?

I’m kind of shocked. I just saw an ad for this and downloaded it. Tried one prompt and it had a completely different voice and text than what I chose or typed. Redid it multiple times with the same problem.

Parrot also has noticeable bugs. When clicking ‘are the results good’ it spams up and down on how to send feedback — you need to force close Parrot . It also lingers while this happens.

All of this to say it was within the first five mins of loading up Parrot . How can I justify paying anything when fundamentals are broken?

I give four stars because right away it's a lot of fun, and there are a good amount of voices and I think they are doing a great job. But there is always room for improvement. what do I get out of it? I get angry by the deception and hypocrisy of public figures, and this app gives me a way to push back by having them admit what they are really about, as well as a way to make me and my friends laugh to deal with the world today.

had to write a new review because Parrot store would let me edit my other one but i noticed that they have 2 of almost every celebrity but one with their first name only and one with their first + last. all are locked behind a subscription paywall except for 2 which are also duplicated and locked behind a paywall. the ai voice is alright and could use some tuning with the other voices but the devs are clearly extremely greedy people as youre paying pro for half of the voices it displays considering roughly 50% of them are duplicates as mentioned prior.

I’ve only had this a day now. The free trump and Biden are by far the best celebs. About 1/3 of them don’t have available video. Another 1/3 or so do not really sound like the celebrity to me.

The next day, it’s as if I’m getting scripts intercepted from other people. None of the stuff I write is said. Also frequently the voice will be a totally different person. Like Trumps voice on Joe Rogans video. It’s kind of useless when it doesn’t work.

Parrot is horrible. It crashes all the time. Sometimes when you make a video or image, another voice will come through for someone you didn’t select. In Parrot , you cannot search for a celebrity. I bought this pro subscription for a specific celebrity. But you cannot search them. I downloaded Parrot and bought the pro weekly, but apparently even though you bought it, you didn’t have an email assigned to Parrot . That, and Parrot doesn’t communicate to the website. It didn’t recognize my email at all. I contacted customer service and they’re so horrible. They never respond or get back to you. I’ve reached out multiple times. This is such a waste of money and frustrating

I really like Parrot because it’s funny and I like to make people laugh and laughing cures all illnesses at least mental illnesses but it doesn’t cure Trump derangement syndrome which I think a lot of people have but again I like Parrot because it’s funny and yeah and it cares mental illness so thank you It’s fun too and it’s funny but thank you for creating it and thank you for making apps great again. OK I’m gonna go finish the survey. 

Not the best. Only some voices are working. Some voices are mismatched. For example, one character had Biden’s voice. Stewie and Hitler weren’t realistic at all they weren’t even the voices. And Parrot is glitchy. It took forever and eventually quit Parrot when trying to process trump signing a song. The 300 character limit is not enough. The video lip sync isn’t good but that wouldn’t be a big deal if the voices were at least decent. App needs work but it will get there

Great app! Easy to use and navigate! Selections are very good, all current & relevant in some way, or another! Parrot is extremely useful if you are making videos, or nust reels for your social media posts…but its purpose for businesses, is where the value is! If you can create good consistent content, & use this accurate app, you will be in business!!! 👌🏻💪🏻🔥

Thought it was a fun idea when I tried the first couple of people so I went ahead and bought the lifetime subscription to get rid of the ads and the watermark, make the videos generate faster, and unlock more people. The only benefits are no ads and more people unlocked.

The video generation times take just as long if not longer (if they even work at all), half of the voices don’t even sound like the people they’re supposed to sound like. And despite the promise of removing profanity, it seems you’re restricted via the terms of service on what you can make certain people say—which just so happens to be people of a certain political ideology. And yet I haven’t been able to locate their terms of service within Parrot . Overall very disappointing. Wish I had known better.

Title says it all. Used it for a few, free clips, and decided to take the plunge and pay for a “Pro” license. Terrible mistake. Parrot actually has gotten worse after I paid: videos don’t have the words syncing properly to lips, it looks choppy, the inflections are comical, and, overall, most of the voices are absolutely terrible impersonations. Laughably bad. Not worth the price of admission.

Oh, and viewing your video history doesn’t always show which AI Impersonation did the clip. Annoying when you are trying to find the 1 great clip out of 100 bad ones.

Feels a little predatory with how the quality took a dive after paying. Let’s hope the devs can improve it with time.

So far Donald Trump saying whatever I want to say as well as Joe Biden has me rolling, laughing so hard that I’m thinking about just buying a whole year subscription. It’s so like amazing the design of Parrot the voices which I don’t I can’t tell about all the voices because I only only use two, but I can only picture unlock in Parrot with every voice. It’s gonna be so funny to send all my friends messages like this.

I don’t even want a refund. The developers obviously need the money due to the ineffectiveness of Parrot. I spent $30 on premium as I’m a highschool student who’s in charge of making funny advertisements for my clubs. A few months ago I used Parrot to do the exact thing and it seems to work perfectly fine (so I assumed it would be work lol). I went ahead and spent $30 for the lifetime one time charge and was immediately charged $30 on one card and an attempt to double charge me for $32 on another card (it was my Apple Pay and I’m so glad I never put money on that one lol). I then had a 2 hour battle with customer service through email to even receive all the characters. Then to my surprise (not really), I attempted to make multiple videos for hours and I can’t even make one. Right now, it seems like the singing feature is the ONLY THING THAT WORKS. I literally don’t need that. I’m going to keep on checking on it over the days to see if maybe developers will update it or something will be done but this is a big disappointment. I was so tempted to just delete and redownload Parrot but after reading the other reviews, I realize that if I do that I just might lose my premium all together. $30 is pretty significant for a broke teenager like myself but I’m more mad about it not working at all. Even if you contact customer service, they can’t change somethings that’s completely the develops fault. Fix your app, this is ridiculous.

It’s so much fun . The game was fun to watch but I don’t know if it’s the best or the best for it at all but it is so fun and fun and I think it is so worth the effort and I think the only time I’ve had a chance of getting to know the story was the game was in my opinion it really helped a bit more and the gameplay really helps the gameplay was very interesting and the gameplay was really fun and fun to play too so it really was that good for a little time I was

Good app, easy to use. Voices are pretty good and sound pretty natural, faces don’t always line up. Gets the job done though. I’d give it four stars if it wasn’t so predatory. You start Parrot up and it immediately prompts you to pay, with no option to close the screen unless you select a payment option and cancel. Then it had the nerve to ask me for a rating before I even used it once! Then every chance they get they beg for more reviews, or for you to subscribe. If you can get past all that, you’ll have some fun with this novel little tool.

I share the same positive sentiment that other reviewers have posted, so instead of rehashing what others have already said I’d rather get to what fell short which is the AI singing feature…
- With the insane amount of time it took to generate the song, I could have went out and found the celebrity and had them sing it for me and still have time to spare
- Generating a video with the celebrity talking, no problem. Singing, my god, the voices don’t match at all. I had Joe Biden doing a bit from the cumtown podcast and was spot on, then I had Joe sing “Gimme the loot” which is just a rap song so there’s no need to hit some crazy Mariah Carey level octave and it came out just awful.
I can definitely see the entertainment value with this feature so hopefully they fix it in the near future.

First of all, this is a fantastic app WHEN IT WORKS. I’d say a good 25% percent of the AI voices are broken and fail to load. When they work, it’s extremely impressive and convincing the way the videos come out.

My main issue with this app is the “pro” feature gimmick. I assumed being “pro” would grant access to all features Parrot has to offer. I paid a lifetime pro fee of $60, and STILL can’t use the “create ai voice” feature since they make you buy extra credits. Incredibly slimy business practice.

Make the create AI voice available as a pro feature and fix the broken voices, this is easily five stars.

This episode, good and funny I get to prank everyone and make them think that they are saying my name. My favorite is the Joe Biden one because he’s the president and I made my mom think that I was being given the White House for life and I was gonna be the first woman president, Parrot is awesome. Get it now. It is not free but there is still a couple things you can choose from that you don’t have to pay for like Joe Biden. That’s why he’s my favorite get. This wallet is on sale.

I will say that Parrot provided a lot of great video already. However, to make my own voices, I had to pay another seven dollars. That’s fine if you wanna get paid for the work you put in the feature and you can go without. I made one of my custom voices and for some reason the last half of it was Joe Biden saying something completely unrelated. I fixed it after running it through again so I’m hoping things will be smooth going ahead. Parrot does seem to consume a lot of memory and slow down and get sluggish, so sometimes when you want to retrieve something that you’ve created, you have to start all over again. Fortunately, being able to copy what you just wrote saves a lot of hassle and I really do like Parrot overall. Also, I have a couple of custom voices still pending after several days. Hopefully some fixes can be worked in. Ultimately, this is just about exactly worth your money, nothing more, nothing less.

Also can you add a dark mode? It’s pointless frying your whole screen while waiting for things to render.

I am writing this under a 5 star review in hopes that it might end up at the top of a list of reviews and people might end up actually reading it. Parrot is the largest bait and switch I’ve ever seen. Which leads me to believe that they’re paying for people to post positive reviews. Because there is zero percent chance anyone who used it for longer than 5 minutes would ever have a positive thing to say about it.
Parrot is a total scam. I was having fun with the free app so I decided to upgrade to lifetime premium for what was supposedly a discounted price. Moments later my card was charge for $37 and change.
Ok well maybe it’ll be worth it if it works well and at least I have it for life. NOPE. Thing is useless you’d have much better luck with literally any other AI app.

Listen I’m one to buy an app if it works well, so i decide to try the free version, loved it and only got to use 2 people. Took a little bit to say what i wanted which was about a paragraph long. 2 weeks later Forgot about Parrot decided to use it today and it forces me to buy any package in order to use it. I wanted to use the free one. So i deleted Parrot and redownloaded it, i got to use it free again but its been 4 minutes and i couldn’t even get trump to say one sentence lol. PLUS its saying its in a slow queue. A slow queue for one sentence? Foh
