Lotsa Helping Hands Reviews

We have been using this software for the last four months with over 200 people in our group and had have zero problems.

I like their use of KISS principle which is important given the diverse low-tech user community.

Thank you for this software and our family is truly grateful for it.

LotsaHelpingHands has the basics but there is no way to do any community administration as a coordinator. It would be nice to be able to approve and invite new members through LotsaHelpingHands rather than logging in anew each time I go back to my Safari browser window when I am on my phone. Considering how many community coordinators are likely to be needing to manage their community while sitting in waiting rooms at medical appointments etc. this function would be a real service to have added.

Some of these people are dingle dorks. Works just fine for me. Doesn’t allow for some of the functions the website does but overall it’s functional.

I just created an account. Then I downloaded LotsaHelpingHands . I tried to log in. It said my email and password don’t match. They do match. I can get on the site through the email I received. So I tried to set up my account through LotsaHelpingHands . It said this account is already in use. It still wouldn’t let me log in through LotsaHelpingHands .

The set up is easy the concept is tremendous but all of a sudden the automatic reminders stopped sending for the tasks. Support claims a response in 24 hours. No response 72 hours later and two follow up emails. No phone support either. This is a fabulous tool, but the reminder feature is essential.

As a coordinator LotsaHelpingHands would be better on the phone. But anytime I try to switch between pages or crashes. Like if I go from calendar to activity it just closes or if I click on the comments to read them crash.

I’ve used the Lotsa website for several years and just discovered LotsaHelpingHands. I downloaded LotsaHelpingHands , but receive a message that the community I want to join is not supported by LotsaHelpingHands and I need to open it in the web browser. Too bad

LotsaHelpingHands needs a lot of work. The interface with the website and vice versa is horrible. Updates, announcements, etc. entered on LotsaHelpingHands . do not show up on the website and vice versa. Best to stick with the functionality of the website. Works better.

Disappointed that LotsaHelpingHands doesn’t have either an explore function or a referral to the website.

So buggy! So non-user friendly! I’ve used the website for years and the latest version is just awful.

I have an iPhone XS.. and I can’t get past the sign on ... it hangs then just crashes.
I gave a 1 rating because there wasn’t a zero option and I wanted to rate LotsaHelpingHands .

What is the point of LotsaHelpingHands for the coordinator if they can not approve member request or seethe other information like on the webpage.

My login doesn’t work on LotsaHelpingHands . It works via Safari on my phone. Not sure what’s wrong.

As some people who reviewed the last version pointed out, LotsaHelpingHands is for people volunteering to help, not for the person coordinating the help. Who do they think are the main people downloading LotsaHelpingHands? They should consider it's the coordinators who will be using it most while sitting in hospital rooms trying g to approve members, add activities, and manage caretaking on-the-go. It's a shame since the website is head and shoulders above others of its class. As it is, I can only use LotsaHelpingHands to see who signed up for a meal drop off on what day. Or post an announcement. I'll have to keep checking email to approve new members, then open a web browser on my phone, and re-sign in, yet again, to manage that. I "get" to use safari instead of LotsaHelpingHands if I want to edit an event or even create a new activity on the calendar. If LotsaHelpingHands were useful for coordinating I would be telling everyone about this app. Please, for the sake of your brand, try to fix these problems with LotsaHelpingHands !

I have been considering using this for coordinating care of a loved one for a while so wanted to test out LotsaHelpingHands (iPhone only, no iPad app). Created an event, assigned it to myself and every time it asks if I want to add to my calendar and I say yes, it crashes. Froze upon reopen 2 out of 4 times I tried to get back in. Not useful or trustworthy if there are glitches like this. Thanks for trying, look forward to an update.

I've used Lotsa Helping Hands to coordinate caregiving for years. The mobile app is just as good, if not easier! No crashing, as another user experienced and I've used it a lot since it was released. Great to have on-the-go when you need to check who has signed up for different tasks. LotsaHelpingHands is a Godsend.

I can't believe they call this an APP... It is not an App, but rather a way to access the website... Which is SUPER user-UN-friendly via an iPhone, the website isn't even responsive! You can't pinch/zoom at all, and you have to scroll all over the place to view what you need to find. When family/friends of those in need have to QUICKLY get info out to members or sign people up, doing so via this "App" is not a solution... VERY disappointed by this whole process :-(

How can it be that email notifications are not sent to members, when a coordinator posts a need??? What good is it if you have to constantly check LotsaHelpingHands ? And why do I have to go out of LotsaHelpingHands to post a need? These should be relatively easy fixes that would make LotsaHelpingHands INVALUABLE

LotsaHelpingHands does not show needs created on their main web page. It is impossible to understand who is doing what. It show no needs when in fact there are 5!! Cannot do any administrative functions with it. At first I was so excited about it. I told everyone to get it. Since then I have had to completely retract my recommendation. Take it down or make it communicate with the website.
