Coupa Mobile Reviews

I’ve been a user of this app Expenses for a couple years now and I feel compelled to write in because I’ve read a couple of the nasty reviews and I just can’t believe what people have written. I love Coupa. It’s easy, intuitive, fast and above all I love the fact that I can just talk my expenses into my phone and it transcribes my voice into an expense line item.

It’s so fast and easy that I even find myself using the phone app even when I’m doing my end of week audit against my credit card bill because it’s just easier to talk or take a picture of a receipt than it is to do it online. And that’s saying a lot because online is super easy too but I love my phone so it’s my preferred mode of doing everything these days.

Honestly, if I ever have to go back to the old ways of doing expenses I’ll be super bummed.

For the love of god, WHY does Coupa only give you two options for attachments: camera or photos? I have to attach receipts for my expense reports, which are automatically generated but not for several days after purchases. I scan all of my receipts to PDF, but this aren't stored in the Photos app... they are either in cloud documents or in Evernote. So essentially, I have to hang on to the paper receipt until the expense shows up in this app and then take a photo. So inconvenient! Otherwise, the camera works well and I like the options to convert to B&W, etc. I just wish I could do this when I get the receipt so I don't have to hang onto it.

I work for a large organization where all employees have to use the system. The web based platform is fine. Coupa is terrible. We all swap tricks to how best get through the pain that is using this garbage program. My recommendation would be to do all you can on your cpu and only use Coupa if absolutely necessary OR just to attach the pictures. As someone who travels about 75% of the time I find myself having to do my reports late in my hotels on my cpu or a week later at home. 90% of the the time Coupa takes 5 min to load one page, or even respond to me clicking a text field.

I have messaged them about this in the past and the answer I received was essentially 🤷‍♂️....

Blessedly my company will soon be moving to a new reporting system. If you are considering this app, do your employees and yourself a favor and skip the migraine that is this system.

ALSO!!! a bunch of the 5 star reviews for this came on the same day (3/14)... Maybe if the programming team spent half the time they took to write fake reviews on fixing the bugs they wouldn’t have to pad their terrible app with bs reviews.

this app mobile save me a bunch of time from having to manually log my expenses in batch at the end of the week. Please make sure we can add screenshots as attachments to expense items! I would love to add my Uber receipts directly to Coupa but right now I can't because those are sent as screenshots on my phone

I avoid expenses at all costs, primarily because Coupa is so painfully slow, freezes and crashes repeatedly. Shows one thing in Coupa and something different in the website. It’s unbelievable. I’ve used competitors at previous jobs and found their apps MUCH easier to use, more intuitive and don’t think they ever crashed once. If you are Finance and considering this app I’d look elsewhere based on app performance alone. I’m months behind on expenses because it takes all day to get stuff entered due to issues with Coupa .

I’ve been using the this app app since 2015 to review req and expense approval requests. The expense features allow me to actively capture my expenses and quickly attach receipts. Coupa is also functional offline which allows me to update my expenses even when on airplane mode and submit for approval when I am back online.

Abacus is superior in every way for user experience for expense reimbursement speed and AI accuracy. I travel a lot and we switched to this app for expense reimbursement recently. It is difficult to create trips and submit expenses as the occur during a trip. The photo feature almost never finds the vendor and the wallet will not do anything but hold a picture...can’t expense out of the wallet? What’s the point? I had high hopes for this since I’ve used this app for procurement...but expense management is horrible.

In the past few months, Coupa has become almost unusable for doing approvals. It used to work fine, but no longer does. There are extreme latencies that feel like Coupa is frozen, which makes navigation with Coupa a terrible experience. Many approvals that appear on the browser do not appear in Coupa . Coupa ’s badge notification number does not correspond to the number of pending items in Coupa due to the sync’ing/refresh issues.

I use this almost every day because i travel so much for work. Works great, gets me paid on time, and lets me get rid of the scraps of paper I used to have in my pockets. Pretty much all I could ask for.

Pretty straight forward to use. I like that it tracks my mileage on a trip, the speak to text works much better than Siri and I only have to snap a pic to start my expense without having to type all the data.

I don’t get how a company has made it this far and has this bad of an app. I don’t know what people’s benchmark but terrible UX/UI for just trying to take a photo of a receipt and add an expense line. I’m sticking to emailing receipts 1-1 because I can’t for the life of me figure out what the designers were thinking with the flow. Please do better because I’m stuck using you!!

Makes entering expenses simple and easy. You take a picture and the data on the receipt goes into Coupa . Even the handwriting. How do they do that? Very cool. I used to pay my ex-wife to do my expenses!

Love Coupa , so simple and straightforward. I can add pics of receipts to my wallet as I go, and simply talk to Coupa to tell it the expenses. I used to dread expense reports and now I get them done at the end of the trip because it's so easy to capture expenses on the go.

The interface is very smooth, especially the voice entry option. I usually track my expenses on the fly, which means that I submit my report as soon as I land home

When it works, Coupa is great. However I have had to delete and re download Coupa several times because it does not update with the new expense reports. After reinstalling the new reports will come up. Is this a bug? Does it happen to anyone else ?

Great experience and super easy way to track and manage expenses without all the headaches other apps bring. The only way to go.

It is a pain to submit expenses and will reduce total reimbursement. however it is doubtful lost production time by employees submitting reports is worth the hassle. System crashes and it easier to use desk top for mileage while phone is needed for receipts...meaning multiple logins. There are also duplicate entries for dates and poor scrolling options for classifications. Easier to use excel template and process paper.

On the road weeks at a time and Coupa makes doing expense reports so easy. No more carrying every receipt home to scan in.

Not sure how you did it but somehow you took a near perfect app and completely jacked it up. Horrible can no longer do expenses on the road. Will not upload the pdf from an email. That means hotel receipts have to be emailed to the wallet. Only problem is, it only will post the first page.

It's so easy to expense in real time, that after my last cab home my report is done! I like the OCR and Voice expensing.

this app has been such a major improvement over the old concur software we were using before. I mainly use it for expenses, but it even has this super cool purchasing feature where I can just take a picture of something and then it uses AI to find the item for me to purchase. For expenses I log a lot of mileage so I love how it has a GPS tracking option to map and log my routes to automatically create the expense report lines for me. If I sit down at a restaurant it even creates a draft placeholder for me so I won’t forget any expenses or receipts at the end of a business trip. I used to wish for the day of having an executive assistant to do my expense reports for me, but now with this app with this app it’s even easier.

This takes forever to enter expense reports. Increased the amount of time by two easily. Photo capture of receipts doesn’t work well. But the MOST annoying is the stupid report score. It arbitrarily scores expenses based on the cost and it has no idea of what is necessary for the expense. For example, if you rent a car for three days it tells you that’s “a little too high”. How the heck does Coupa know whether that’s high or not. Coupa is horrible.
