    Disappointed is an understatement

    I really wanted to like this app, but disappointed is an understatement! After missing a package I needed to sign for, I was livid, the driver was at my door according to my ring for 31 seconds, when I got to the door he was driving up the street! Guess what!? You can NEVER get a driver back. This was a critical delivery for that day, but the pickup location was in another city,in another state I might add and an hour away. You could at least have a facility in this city of a million people! So I decided to wait for delivery on the second attempt. I downloaded the app after the site implied for more details, get an account, get the app! Determined not to miss it, I fell for it and downloaded the app, BUT the information provided was exactly the same as just tracking the regular way. This “awesome” tracking app shows it left this morning at 4:30 am, it’s 1:25 pm and not ONE single update, I’ve used better tracking apps, what’s the point if the information isn’t even available? Useless waste of storage space on my phone, back to the cloud you go. FedEx, I hope you can get it together and join the gps world. I cant imagine you don’t gps your precious trucks on such a tight schedule that a package that needs signature gets a 31 second window to get to the door. Its 2019, you have the resources, make easy to track for real. Your customers deserve at least that.

    Seems like an account is required to track shipments

    Update: after creating an account which I don’t recall being a requirement, it now retains and saves tracking numbers. And after looking over the description in the App Store, it seems misleading to me. The way I understand it is if you want to create shipping labels or want special deals then you’ll need to create a profile but if you just want to track shipments and get notifications then you don’t need an account. Wrong. Evidently you need to create an account to do anything in the description therefore I find it misleading, make it clear fedex! I don’t know why but on my end when I search for my shipment and tap the star to add it to the watch list but as soon as I leave that screen it shows up no where else. I can re search the tracking number and sure enough it never saved or retained what I did, nor am I getting notifications because of it. But it sure can retain old tracking numbers and shipments. I don’t know if it’s just me or what but I highly doubt it. It’s a useless app at this point with this issue. I can’t even say when this became an issue as most of my packages come through usps and some ups, not my choice either.

    FedEx Terrible Experiences

    I’ve had multiple bad experiences with Fedex, this week is just the latest in a history of bad service. One of my packages has had zero updates for almost a week and no one can tell me where it is. I was also lied to when I called in for another package I’ve been expecting before I travel for the holidays. I was told the driver attempted to deliver the package and left a note. I’ve been in my living room watching football so I know that no one came to my door. I walked outside to check if there was indeed a note, as I expected, there is none to be found. It’s bad enough that I paid for faster shipping and have yet to receive it, but now I need to leave work early and go out of my way to the warehouse to pick up the package. I can understand that they missed one of the deliveries due to high volume during the holidays, but now that’s turning into three days and to do nothing to try to rectify the issue? Not acceptable. Again, this is not the first time I’ve had issues with fedex. Unfortunately, calling them leads to nothing. So I’m commenting on the app that has nothing to do with their actual service... it seems to be the only available forum to complain about their terrible service.

    Login after login after login

    The app used to keep me logged so I could quickly check the status of items I’m tracking. Now EVERY TIME I launch it, I have to login. After providing login info I get a screen asking if I’d like to enable Touch ID, I’ve selected to enable it multiple times, yet every time after I login (without the option to use Touch ID despite the fact that I had previously selected to enable it), I get asked again. After realizing it didn’t matter if I chose to enable it, I selected to option to not show that screen again and not enable Touch ID in hopes of streamlining the new need to log in every launch, and yet the screen still pops back up EVERY TIME! Either retain my log in for 30 days so I don’t have to log in every time I launch the app or actually honor Touch ID preferences previously selected. Also, why are shipments I deleted months ago randomly showing up in my list? I’m glad you still remember a package I was tracking previously was delivered back in December, but maybe you could focus on remembering my log in info/preferences instead. As for now, I’m just using the website because this app is frustrating.

    Worthless

    I was waiting for a package delivery that needed an indirect signature. I downloaded the app, set up an account. There wasn’t anywhere on the app to download a door tag to sign and leave on the door with a signature. So I went to the website and was able to download a fedex door tag that I signed and left on the door, in case I wasn’t home or didn’t hear the doorbell. They texted me several updates on the upcoming delivery. The next thing I know I get another text that the delivery will be the following day. I must have not heard the doorbell. So I checked the door and they had left me a new door tag to sign that was attached next to my old door tag stating they will attempt the next day. It would have been nice to receive a text that fedex is at the door given all the other text notifications I receive. Having the app was totally worthless. It didn’t notify me of the updates. I contacted customer service and they apologized that the driver did not use my door tag. There was nothing else that they could do. Overall, very disappointing.

    The App

    App is perfect you can do anything you want except have it get a Pepsi out of the fridge. You can track. Set up a outgoing shipment and you don’t have to leave your house. It’s great for us retired people. Everything you can do on the main website you can do here. What I like is it contacts me when any shipment is out for delivery to my address no matter who it’s for. Keep it up. Right along with the other two companies UPS, USPS. There apps do the same. So it doesn’t matter who it’s from cross shipments when all three companies pick up and ship out to delivery it done by all three companies FEDEX, UPS, USPS they all work to get finally. They let you know Keep it up perfect communication. The only problem I have is to get them to pick the package up I’ll figure it out soon. Let’s see I give it ❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️ 5 Stars I have no worries with the app. Thank You!

    LOVE THIS APP

    I have been using this app for a few years. And lately it has been a God-send because often I won’t get notification from a company and so I often check this app to see if any shipments have been done. For example: my major diabetic CMG supplies come from another company. They never send me notifications about my stuff being shipped out so I go into Fed Ex app and it will show me whether the items have been sent out for delivery. I get a little red number shown on the icon and then I go into it and there is all the information I need. These delivery apps make life easier knowledge wise instead of guess the delivery dates. Highly recommend using the app!!

    Absolute TRASH

    Edit: after this review they Locked my perfectly fine website account LOL keep your garbage, I’ll keep reposting my experience and these are just a handful of why many people do not choose to work with your company!! Oh and I finally got that email back from support after my review posted and nothing was resolved LOL!!! Let’s not forget the delivery delays for absolutely no reason making the packages days past the delivery date. Throw out the whole app. DOESNT WORK. You cannot even SIGN IN!! However you can go to the website and log in with the same credentials the app tells you are wrong!! YOU CANNOT RESET password through the app either but YOU CAN ON THE WEBSITE. Get it TOGETHER FEDEX!!! UPS has a working website and app lol REMOVE THIS APP FROM THE APP STORE IMMEDIATELY IT DOES NOT WORK. Guess what you customer service for your app does??!?!? NOTHING! Fire them too. Sent a support ticket a week ago. Auto message says 24 hours I’ll have a response. DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH OR YOU WONT BE ALIVE IF THEY EVER RESPOND. They also delete reviews as I posted one last week and today it’s blank.

    This app is worthless I’ve tried it over and over again and deleted it then redownloaded it again just now 8 months later and it’s worse than before I never liked FedEx because 8 times out of ten my packages arrived damaged and this app is a true representation of FedEx it doesn’t work at all and isn’t worth a crap Iv scared the bar 200 times on a few different packages and it never has worked not once. You guys absolutely don’t listen you your customers and you have problems that time and time again by not fixing anything with your delivery’s or you app all you compilation by putting this app out is make me want to use UPS even more. It hurts you more than helps you because if you took the time to read the reviews you would see it hasn’t worked in a long time and by you doing noting about it just shows a lack of professionalism and an Abundance of laziness to do anything to fix any problem you have except to ignore it. You guys really need someone in charge that actually knows what there doing over there.

    No other means to report a glitch

    No matter how many times I enable Face ID on the app, it keeps acting like I never did when logging on though the settings shows enabled. What I have to do is use apple keychain password with my face id to add the info. Login shows. Face ID shows the check mark as if its working on the app but it won’t login, then i use saved on my iphone password, click done, then login. Get the message AGAIN to enable face id. I really hate skipping reporting glitches and going straight to review. As I like to give developers a chance to know and correct. Oh, the delivery dates being tracked can be way off base and I feel sure that is not on the apps end. Eventually, the tracking catches up with the truth. Showing a delivery today that if it comes I will be impressed as only last night started on the way here. I am not the only one who finds the tracking info not accurate.

    Error message after error message

    The app had an error when I tried to create my account, so I deleted it and reinstalled. I was able to create an account this time, but when i tried to write package delivery instructions it asked ridiculous security questions including “which phone number are you associated with” with no phone numbers i recognized... i guess one was related to a previous job from years ago? Maybe? I had to try again and it asked more stupid questions, including a list of 4 people to ask who i was associated with. I didn’t recognize any of the names but i guess i picked right this time because i got through. Then the app said my address was incorrect... but it isn’t. It’s my address. Long story short, I couldn’t leave instructions for a package that didn’t get left in my secure apartment building’s garage, even though the exact same package from the same company gets delivered monthly with no problems. Great.

    i deleted the app but each time reboot my iPhone the app's ghosted icon keeps Re appearing on my iPhone's startup desktop, ill delete it and notice the ghosted icon will again be there after i reboot my iPhone, i also noticed that when the fedex app was still installed on my phone i noticed my phone is always WARM to the Touch and noticed my data allowance for the billing period month consumption is unusually high even if i don't use my phone and there are times my phone will insist on reverting back to 4g even if i keep setting it up back to LTE, i have noticed a pattern, it seems "SOMEONE" or some "ENTITY" is using the app as a backdoor access or launching point TO Break into my phone that is why i had to delete it but it keeps re appearing as a ghosted icon each time after i reboot my iPhone, this is a warning to others, BigBro Could BE using this app as a trojan backdoor by Piggy backing on it.......

    How am I supposed to know half of these answers?

    I downloaded this app as a way to electronically sign for a package and stead of leaving the paper on my door. The app didn’t seem so bad at first but then I had to validate my address. I find it slightly concerning that you are able to tell when my parents birthdays are, where they live, my old phone numbers, my professional licensure, and the previous cars I have owned. However, how am I supposed to know who lived in my house previously. I know who owned my house before me as it’s on my paperwork from when I bought the house. However, I have no idea who lived here before that or who rented the house before I moved in, so why do I have to answer those questions in order to validate my address. I find that to be a bit ridiculous when all I want to do is electronically sign for a package. I have deleted this app it will not use it again in the future unless this is been fixed.

    Nearly Unusable App

    I can see tracking info on this app when I enter a tracking number. But that is as far as it goes. Any attempt to add or get further information (i.e., delivery instructions) is impossible. Attempts at logging in inevitably fail and so do attempts to reset my password. Using the email method, where I am supposed to be sent a link to reset the password are never received. I have tried this multiple time and different times of day. I have never received the expected email. No, it is not in my spam folder. The virtual assistant they offer is useless. Very frustrating. Update: I have been contact with an apology that there was a system problem which caused my issue. However, I have tried again to log in and change my password only to be disappointed again. As before, I never received the necessary email from them with a link to update my password.

    Vacation Hold doesn’t work

    I’m only rating this at 1 star to get attention to the experience I had a week ago using the mobile app. I was notified of a shipment that would require a signature on a date I knew I would be away. I saw the vacation hold option and thought it had been activated with the dates. The app showed it was set. I kept getting messages about delivery while I was away. I called customer service and they told me it took 24-48 hours for vacation hold to enter their system but it never did. There were several unsuccessful attempts to deliver while I was gone. Finally, I changed the option to hold at location, which worked and I was able to get my package when I got home. I called customer service again. They told me this is an IT problem that customer service cannot help with. This review is to feedback to IT to get this highly valued feature to work.
