An app that forces you to update or else it won’t work

Not a fan of an app forcing you to update in order to “bank” with them. Bancolombia isn’t great at keeping your data private either - the amount of spam I’ve gotten since I had to use BancolombiaPersonas, has been off the hook. Meh.

Horrible Bank, hostile to customers

On July 7th, I bought a new iPhone 12. Since my iPhone 10 was in the Apple Public Beta program I had no choice but to upgrade to iOS 15 Beta to transfer my data.

BancolombiaPersonas stoped working completely on iOS 15 and the bank flat out refused to do anything to make it work until iOS 15 was released to the public.

I begged them to provide me with the beta version. They refused.

For more than 2 months, I have been unable to use the Bancolombia Mobile App. And the bank could care less.

Since BancolombiaPersonas on my phone is merely a front end to the website, they did in fact fix their website the day iOS 15 went public. There was no notification that an update was available. They simply did the update in the background on the server side.

Due to Apple’s prohibition on submitting reviews on beta software, today was my first opportunity to give Bankcolombia a much deserved one star review.

Unfortunately Bancolombia does have a virtual monopoly on consumer banking. So while they are a very bad and uncaring bank, I am afraid I am stuck with them.

Never works/ nunca trabaja

This application never works. When you try to log on 95% of the time it has a connection error. Their even a work around that people have come up with just to connect (turn on airplane mode and log on with a Wi-Fi only connection.) how does q national bank have such a bad application? I have no idea. Other banks actually have working applications. To bad Colombians for the most part all have this bank.

Esta aplicación nunca funciona. Cuando intentas iniciar sesión el 95 % de las veces, tiene un error de conexión. Incluso es un trabajo que a la gente se le ha ocurrido solo para conectarse (encienda el modo avión e inicie sesión con una conexión solo Wi-Fi). ¿Cómo es que el banco nacional tiene una aplicación tan mala? No tengo ni idea. Otros bancos en realidad tienen aplicaciones que funcionan. Para los malos colombianos, en su mayor parte, todos tienen este banco.

Not finished, customers forced to migrate without a backup system

BancolombiaPersonas has issues to access, personal settings and functionality. it blocked my dynamic key, it block my principal key, and blocked me to perform a transaction that I perform regularly, after two hours and six calls to customer service, the only that I got is that probably my device is not compatible. But what do I know... now I have to send device model, operative system, update version, wifi carrier and who knows what else.

Bancolombia IT people, you MUST consider before launching a new APP that people require adaptation period, suddenly now you are FORCING me to adopt this new app to do my regular transactions which worked fine on the website "sucursal personas" until today.

Bancolombia doesn’t understand UX nor customer service.

Why are you forcing users to update BancolombiaPersonas ?
If there’s no update, you are locked out of your account. It’s a bid communist, don’t you think?

If you think their app is bad, wait until you use their “website” which is much worse, full of dead links and bad UX, and if you think their website is bad, wait until you go to any of their branches in person. This bank is all over the place, yet they provide no customer service - however, they charge you for nearly for any “service” they provide. Horrible app, horrible customer service. Thieves, that’s what they are.

The worst customer services

I had the worst customer service in this bank, the employees of call center are terrible, they didn’t know what they need to do and give bad information about the problems we had, I had my account blocked because an employee gave me the wrong information and they blocked my account for this person and I can’t send my money for this problem. Please, the President of this company needs to know how bad your employees are training and they didn’t solve the problems to “Colombianos en el exterior”. We don’t have a good support and your employees don’t understand that we’re far away from our country and we can’t go to your office to solve our problems.

Horrible Services, not just the app

Honestly I had just minor issues with BancolombiaPersonas but, I’m so disappointed with the services, specially with “Colombianos en el exterior”
After Years of being using my credit cards in Colombia, I just opted for canceling the 3 of them. I got more headache holding them. The service is awful. Don’t get credit cards from this bank.

Makes me wish to switch to other bank

Man this is the most obnoxious and complicated bank app ever, I guess it was made by a graphical designer with no clue of handheld online personal banking key features. Bancolombia needs to work on serious improvement to make BancolombiaPersonas not just to be beautifully designed but useful...

Frustrating app and customer service

English: The Bancolombia app won't let me log in because there is always a system error. I have tried to ask for help three times and have not received any help. I have a little money in the account. I need to make a transfer, but I've never encountered an app or bank so frustrating. I apologize for being rude, but I'm really losing patience after several failed attempts with customer service... not to mention that they are rude on top of not reciving adequate help. There are better banks, this one is not worth it.

Español: la app de Bancolombia no me deja iniciar sesión porque siempre hay un error del sistema. He intentado pedir ayuda tres veces y no he recibido ninguna ayuda. Tengo un poco de dinero en la cuenta. Necesito hacer una transferencia, pero nunca me he encontrado con una aplicación o un banco tan frustrante. Pido disculpas por ser grosero, pero realmente estoy perdiendo la paciencia después de varios intentos fallidos con el servicio de atención al cliente...

Not user friendly

It’s hard to do anything from BancolombiaPersonas. The stupid “clave dinámica” never works, I’m not able to register a phone number from a different country that’s not colombia through BancolombiaPersonas and that’s extremely inconvenient for Colombians who live in other countries. Do better Bancolombia, invest your wealth in your customers. The ones that you profit so much from.

You didn’t fix the crash!!!

BancolombiaPersonas immediately crash when you try to open it with iPhone 12. And none of the things you recommended to other users fix this issue. You need to update BancolombiaPersonas and fix it!!!!!! It’s been several weeks since your update broke BancolombiaPersonas and you released a new update but still didn’t fix the crashing issue.

Can’t Spend Money in App Dev...?

This seems like the case Bancolombia makes so much money off of their fees on transactions that you’d expect for BancolombiaPersonas to work! But it doesn’t!!

It crashes often, can’t use the “touch id” function. I can do a simply transfer and this is the only reason I keep BancolombiaPersonas .

App unresponsive with IOS15

I had to use internet banking BancolombiaPersonas is not compatible with the new iPhone IOS 15 upgrade. He only choice at the moment is to not do any new updates to your iPhone for BancolombiaPersonas to work. Hopefully the developers are already working on this

No Face ID completely destroys the experience

Before I used to have an iPhone 8 and was able to access my app with Touch ID quickly, easily, and safely. When I switched to my new phone with Face ID, I was hoping I would get the same experience. I was wrong. Even if BancolombiaPersonas does have the Face ID button in the log in screen, it appears that this functionality is disabled because it always gives me an error message when I try to use it. It’s really annoying since it completely takes away the practicality of the feature. Another thing is that BancolombiaPersonas is poorly adapted to the iPhone XR so BancolombiaPersonas ’s design looks like it’s blown out and not as clean and defined as in an iPhone 8 or 8 Plus. Please fix quickly, having to manually type in delicate bank information such as log ins and passwords makes BancolombiaPersonas useless in practical day to day, any place use case scenarios.

No fingerprint-crashes often

I’ll give it 2 stars since when I can get into BancolombiaPersonas it is useful. The problem is exactly that, getting access to BancolombiaPersonas . The fingerprint no longer works and half the time i can’t log in with password…

Does not run on iOS 12

When trying to open BancolombiaPersonas on an iPhone 6 running iOS 12 BancolombiaPersonas closes after 2 secs of touching it.

I tried on two different phones, fully uninstalled BancolombiaPersonas and its data and even reset my phone. Nothing worked.

Probably this is an easy fix, considering BancolombiaPersonas is supported on the iOS 12 version I use.
Although I know it is an old operating system, many people still use these phones specially in Colombia.

I would appreciate your help to fix this, as this is impacting my experience with the bank.

It’s a very handy app

I like BancolombiaPersonas and I use it very often, but since de update the biometric log in is not working for iPhone X, before I use to log with my face. Also I think we should be able to manage the prepaid e-card by BancolombiaPersonas not only the website.

Your service is excellent. I love my bancolombia. Please have in mind that I made an error when I had rating before this comment , and marked several times errors please dont have in count those errors.

I do not agree with the advertizing with the new changes, that do not permit enter to my account. If I am in a huury this is very very inconvenient. Please quit that advertizing from my virtual sucursal

BancolombiaPersonas works great. Face recognition works perfect. Can’t wait the new app to navigate more options. I highly recommend it... I give 5 stars!!!

Awesome app. Wish it was multi device

App used to have some issues a few years ago but now it works flawlessly. ( hope I am not jinxing myself). My only problem is that it can be only installed on one phone. It works from other phones but needs “clave dynamica” from the original device. Most bank apps don’t need that.

Do not chance it! I have not had access to my money for over 40 days, no access to the app and no access to the website. The “customer service” person told me yesterday to “be patient” JAJA. It is absurd and I am seething. There is no way to file a complaint at Bancolombia. When they get sick of trying to fix the problem but clearly have NO CLUE, they send this huge email asking for a giant list of information that they already possess, essentially making THEIR problem into YOUR problem. When you answer their email, it bounces back saying not to reply to that email address but they don’t provide any other contact information. Bottom line, your money is much safer and accessible under your mattress. Calling themselves a “BANK” does not make it so. They are HORRIBLE.
