HomeTrust is not convenient at all for it to be a mobile banking app. I too get locked out at least once a month. It says no connectivity or something. Very frustrating when you are trying to access your account, transfer funds, etc. It seems to occur mostly around major holidays or weekends. I’ve also noticed that it will lock up once a large deposit has been placed into your account.
Will be looking for a new bank soon.
I don’t usually write reviews but HomeTrust is probably one of the worst user experiences I’ve ever had. Don’t bother banking with this app, you can’t even access your account when you need it most. I’m changing banks ASAP and kissing this sorry excuse for an app goodbye. When it loads on my phone, it takes forever, and only loads when it wants to. This is one of the most inconvenient things I’ve had to deal with. On top of that, I needed to renew an account that was backing up 8+ years of pictures and memories. Because I couldn’t get into HomeTrust, I lost all of that. I hate this and I hate this app. 🖕🏾🖕🏾🖕🏾🖕🏾
And HomeTrust immediately shuts down. It’s been this way for years. Support calls me and tries to update it but it’s still the same.
Update. After 6+ years HomeTrust still does not work, my phone is updated, app is updated, I cannot deposit checks, I cannot send money with Zelle, nothing works. I transferred banks and am much happier.
When will this be fixed????? There have been reviews about this for over a year. Not even 3 weeks from my first post, and HomeTrust isn’t accepting my password again. This banking app is so terrible that it makes me want to switch banks totally. If it wasn’t for the kind and awesome tellers at HTB who I have known for years I would.
HomeTrust is horrible. It makes me want to switch banks. It recently updated where it semi shows pending transactions, that’s if you can ever get it to load. My fiancé and I have a joint checking and her balances reflect different than mine, for the same account. This mobile app has even caused us multiple overdraft fees because it reflects the wrong balance, also they claim it is in real time, but it isn’t. I get some kind of error message every time I login. It’d be nice to be able to see our transactions once in awhile, and yes I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
My family has been banking with this app for over 40 years. We will no longer be banking with this app because of HomeTrust. Their app developers are either heavily under funded or heavily under educated. HomeTrust is garbage and has been garbage for 4+ years. this app refuses to grow into the 21st century so I am left with no other option than to leave. I love my local bank, I love the employees, but I don’t want to have to see them every time I want to check my balance.
I’ve had HomeTrust for around 4 years and I’ve noticed with each update, HomeTrust worsens. More often than not, Face ID won’t work, and HomeTrust isn’t working around 50% of the time for me (yes, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and done hard resets on my phone). My balance is rarely reflected accurately. When I paid my last credit card bill, the bill said it was paid but the new balance wasn’t reflected on HomeTrust at all. This is an all too common occurrence that is frustrating to deal with as a consumer.
Setting up bill pay with you has been difficult this time. While associates from ‘chat’ or by phone have been helpful I have had the same problem happen on more than on occasion causing bills I thought had been paid to come back with a late fee because they had not gone through.
Love my mobile banking app, but it has started to make me answer a security question every time I log in. A bit annoying. Uninstalling doesn’t help, so hopefully this is fixed soon.
App is not opening, now since beginning of February. It just has a white screen, then crashes. Not even crash?m, it stays in my opened apps. Very frustrating.
I would really appreciate it, as I believe other customers would, the ability to receive texts from your bank each time there is a transaction or deposit. I’ve had this at a previous bank and it is extremely helpful. It has helped me be aware instantly when there is an on authorized transaction.
I try to get on online banking and it tells me to go a certain number. When I call they can’t help. They say use a different device and it’s an Internet problem No help
It used to work well but now it’s not allowing me to log in I don’t know why if it is the same password🤯😣 I’m disappointed I don’t know what is going on
It is a shame when you have to rely on a app to check your balance or move things around and OVER half the time it won’t even open. I guess they don’t care if your locked out and can’t access your own money. Thanks “this app”
I really like making deposits with this app on my mobile app it makes life a lot easier than having to run to the bank so much.
This is the first time I’ve used HomeTrust to deposit a check it was super easy
This is much friendlier AND easier than the way it was. I appreciate that the software determines when the image is acceptable, not me! I’ve had good success with the old way but the feedback from the new edition makes me feel even more secure. Thank you.
I don’t know what you all did to HomeTrust when you updated it, but you screwed it up! I’ve already left a review but it appears as though you deleted it because you didn’t like my remarks. Fix HomeTrust! It was fine before you screwed it up with the recent update.

For the last week, my app has said that I didn’t have a network connection. I always have a network connection and I can never check my balances unless I go through Chrome or Safari. Will there be a fix for this? I have deleted HomeTrust and downloaded it a second time. This still did not work. If it wasn’t for this, I would give HomeTrust 5 stars! I can do everything I need to do through HomeTrust and it has worked great for the last 10 years, until now. Thank you!
