Please add support for Apple News

I have subscriptions to WSJ and Business Insider (both purchased, separately, directly from the publishers - not through Apple). When I want to read WSJ content on Apple News I get the option to login to my WSJ account. This allows me to read WSJ without getting an Apple News+ subscription. However, there is no option to login to my Business Insider account on Apple News. So the only way to read Insider is through BusinessInsider (which isn’t aesthetically appealing in the slightest). Please add support for using Insider subscription in Apple News like WSJ allows!!! I’m saving Insider money by purchasing directly from you instead of using Apple, why would you not allow me to use this subscription in Apple News??

Good Content with Horrible Technology

Business Insider has well thought out content (forgiving their obvious over the top liberal leanings) for business.

Unfortunately and amazingly even their paid product’s interface on iPad Professional’s or website is just plain bad! Do you guys try logging into your own site without an iPad App (ie your target market clearly has these) you can at least make your safari site version 1) enable you to log into the site (log-in screen doesn’t work), 2) when logged in via iPhones and the automatically opening BusinessInsider having to sign in again 10 seconds later is just stupid. Get with the program and focus more on your business and less on chastising conservative outlook that was legally elected to the White House!

Decent but Biased

Content it good for keeping up with current events and the personal finance articles can be interesting from time to time. Other than thats its just another biased news source. Most articles on politics and the economy lean Left, which is fine both sides are respectable, but it would be nice to either have equal amount of articles on both sides so we can see the whole picture or only have articles that list out all facts without opinions sprinkled in. Not trying to pick a side or anything, i just don't like being influenced by articles that hide information that doesn't support their argument which i see a lot on here.

Auto-Play Audio is awful

Business Insider is my favorite place to go for quality content on what’s important to me. However, as of recently, they’ve implemented auto-play mid-roll content that goes around your phones settings and blares audio at top volume. To turn it off, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of your page and pause the content. I can’t have this when I take the train in the am and hope they can change this soon. Don’t sell out to marketers demand for higher engagement. The user experience is important!

What Happened?

This is my go to for news. Every morning and night for several years. Over the past few, it’s been so aggravating to use.
I’ve had so many problems and I think surely they’ll fix this. Shutting off. Links not working. Twitter post links in articles- hasn’t worked in a year or two. Losing saved articles. Video links and Ad sounds that seem to have their own mind. The constant nuisances I’ve overlooked.
But, when I come here to get some help because BusinessInsider won’t update for 8 hours at a time and the developer link shoots me out of BusinessInsider Store to my home screen... what a terrible joke this application is.

Trumps talking disgustingly about Cummings & Baltimore after listening to Fox News

It was interesting how he has started other vicious attacks after watching Fox’s news programs.
Wish he respected the office of the presidency & other people. He acts the victim so often. He has the biggest bully pulpit & victimizes anyone who doesn’t Kiss his narcissistic behind.
Kat Tenbarge does a good job. I read all her work.

Crash city

For years I have been reading business insider for my daily news, and it is a fantastic news source. The website is great, however BusinessInsider has consistently crashed for years and I just can’t imagine how it has not been fixed yet. I can usually get about halfway through an article and then it will crash and exit. If I try to reopen it and go to the same article, it will crash at the same spot. Does this on about 95% or articles I try reading through BusinessInsider , quite ridiculousl considering it has gone unfixed for years...

Please fix!

BI is my favorite source for news but BusinessInsider needs some serious help. Constantly freezes on launch. List articles with more than 10 items cause BusinessInsider to force quit. Inline tweets and Instagram posts don’t show inline but rather at the end of the article and then cut off. Freezes when swiping between categories. Freezes when switching between WiFi and cellular. It pains me to write this review because I love BI so much, but BusinessInsider has become almost unusable to the point I may need a new source of news. Running iPhone X. Please fix!

Crashes and Useless Search Function

BusinessInsider has been plagued by problems with minimal staff assigned to fix such issues it seems. BusinessInsider crashes every single time I reach the end of an article. The search function doesn’t work as it immediately tells you that your search query has timed out. Minor issues include the inability to keep app settings stored such as font size. At least once a month I open my app to small size font and have to reset it to the size I prefer. After the 7th time/month you get frustrated as you realize that bugs are rarely fixed.

This Used To Be A Go To App - Update Needed To Fix Bugs!

Business Insider has been one of my core longtime favorite sources for business news. And as of the last time the BI app opened, I can say the user interface is clean, simple, and easy to use.

But the critical portion of that last sentence is "the last time BusinessInsider opened" (or launched)! For the second time in the past three months, an overnight push update via the Apple App Store has killed the BI app! In both cases, the application will open to the green screen with the Business Insider logo that I always see for a moment while BusinessInsider is launching.

However, it is again stuck on that launch page. I have to force close the frozen app.

So you have the information: I am using a new iPhone 7 (128GB), I am not experiencing issues with any other applications, nor any issues with iOS.

Look forward to Business Insider pushing an update that fixes this issue!

Not Worth $10 a month

I have been using Business insider for about 20 minutes every other day. It provides decent information that helps you know what is happening in the world though...as of right now I don’t believe $10 is an adequate price a month for news. I do get it though, it is a way to stay away from dumb games cheap people like to play...though I personally would not spend $10 on news, at least not right now.

Expensive App for Little to No Good Stories

The monthly to yearly rate is very expensive. I would suspect that Insider has invested a lot of money in their marketing department, but little in their journalist and reporters. All articles have headlines that make it appear that there will be some good advice or different ways of accomplishing something. After reading multiple articles throughout the past months, they’re all so tone deaf or lack any real evidence of anything. I’ll be happy not to renew my subscription.

Subscription- always a cost....

I LOVE business insider. I’m a loyal daily reader for 4 years but I’m very disappointed that we now have to pay to read some articles...... that’s just unreal... paying to read the news.... I’m really disappointed by BI. Please, make ALL your articles accessible to everyone again!

Frequent App Crashes and Missing Images/Video

I love the site but their app is terrible, as there are frequent performances issues with BusinessInsider. In particular, I’ve experienced daily app crashes when reading articles and it’s rare if all of the images & videos in the article load.

I have seen these issues since I downloaded their app 2 years ago, using it on various WiFi and 4G connections, but I’ve always hoped that they’d fix it before I came around to writing a review.

I highly advise you save yourself the frustration and download another app instead

Enough with advertisements disguised as articles

I’ve been a daily reader for many years now, usually opening BusinessInsider at least 5 times per day. These “Insider Picks” with the ridiculous headlines have become intolerable. I started reading less and less and finally deleted BusinessInsider once Business Insider started removing the “Insider Picks” label and are now passing off these paid advertisements as curated content of only the “best products chosen by their staff”

I come from a B2C background and am well aware of the way that purchased reviews work. See ya later Business Insider!

Great Content but almost had it with this App

Please fix the crashing when scrolling through the lists within the articles! It is so frustrating reading through til the end when 99% of the time that last one on the list can’t be opened and the site crashes. Plus, why does clicking on App Support just go to the actual news site rather than an actual support site? What’s the point of App Support?

Lots of questionable behavior

BusinessInsider is loaded with bugs, including loading of irrelevant videos, extremely common long pauses, and other “glitchy” behavior.

BI is also likely selling and taking as much data as possible off its users, as would be expected for a free app of this nature. And their articles exhibit a clear pattern of bias to drive users to make purchases via affiliate links. Just waiting for the news that they have been doing terrible things. Something very fishy about the whole picture.

Crashes / Freezes on 11.4

Hi BI - BusinessInsider has great content! Thank You. I am experiencing continuous crashes and freezes on iOS 11.4 - scrolling through articles causes screen to freeze and then crash/close. I was unable to assess “app support” through the iPhone App Store - which necessitates this review to ensure visibility and corrective action - upon transfer to BusinessInsider Store to BI the BI App crashed repeatedly. Content rating is FIVE; UX rating is ZERO (currently). Please evaluate and fix BusinessInsider functionality and I will update my review.

New update is amazing

Feels like someone just handed me a glass of cold water. The images are so sharp the whole thing just pops. I didn’t even know they had paid content but I like that you get a free trial and most of BusinessInsider is still free. Whatever they did with this update it looks modern and seems like a totally new app

Don’t Push BI Prime Alerts to Non-subscribers!!!!

I understand that BI wants to make a few extra bucks by charging for certain articles. However, it is wrong for them to push alerts to a BI Prime article to a user who is not subscribed and therefore cannot read the story!

This afternoon I received a push alert for an app about a truck driver shortage in the US making December the most expensive period for ground freight ever. I tapped the alter and it opened BI only to tell me that I can’t read this article!

Please fix BusinessInsider so that I don’t see iPhone push alerts to an article I can’t read!!!
