I used Evernote for my pottery notes before I found out about PotteryNotes. And, boy, what a wonderful app to have! A big THANK YOU to whoever designed it. You understand what us potters need! I could take pictures and write notes on the same page, and it’s so easy to do! I really appreciate how having this makes record keeping so much easier. However, to share this from my iPhone to my iPad, I would have to transfer each page separately (gasp). Could you please please please work on allowing the user to sign in with email so when we open other devices we could see it too? I normally only have my iPhone with me and it would be nice to see the details of the pictures in a larger scale when I look back. Most of the other Apple apps have this in their setting, but I only see unit conversion in the setting in PotteryNotes .

Love PotteryNotes for organizing all the details from my written notes to make them searchable.
Only deducting a star because I’d love an option to sort. Search is powerful but sorting by various fields would be very helpful. Cloud storage would be amazing as well, but I recognize that would likely be a bigger lift!

As mentioned by folks before would be great if works via the cloud so you get the same info.
Also it would be great if you can select glaze combinations. So more that one glaze.
Same with clay bodies. I work with more than one claybody and more than one glaze on one piece. It is nice to have pics with glazing notes in one place though.

Love PotteryNotes to keep track of my glaze combos. It’s very organized and you can delete or add your own fields which is super nice! However, it does take up a lot of space on my phone with all the files and I’m afraid of losing photos of my work so I’d REALLY love to see being able to upload files to the cloud, just in case. 🙏🏻

I enjoy PotteryNotes a lot and it’s a great place to keep all my information on pieces I have made.

However- I would LOVE a separate list option for adding ideas/inspiration for future pieces! I currently keep those in a separate notes app and it would be great to have it all in one place.

Love PotteryNotes and have used it as I learned. Lots of great features you can use as needed. The only thing I really need to to sync btwn devices. Make it a paid feature, I would be in!

I find PotteryNotes very handy but I have a hard time sorting through my list for “in process” vs “completed” pieces. I wish I could
a) order my list numerically and not have the top entry switch based on the last entry I opened and
B) archive entries for completed pieces so that I can keep track of my completed pieces but in another list or on another tab so they’re not clogging up my current “in progress” list.

This is the only good pottery tracking, or frankly tracking of any kind. It allows me to catalog and not lose track of where I am and what I did. The interface is super usable and flexible. Love this tool! I tell everyone I know about it!

I have only just recently gotten PotteryNotes and I love it so far, but I do wish that there was a better way to keep track of glazes when used in combination. I’m currently adding the glazes in the order they are applied and then creating a memo underneath them all to tell whether it was applied to the inside or the outside, and where on the cup it was applied.

For example:
Outside
3x Black Matte: bottom 2/3
3x Saturation Gold: top 1/3

Inside:
3x Saturation Gold

Other than that, I am loving PotteryNotes!

I love that PotteryNotes is clean and simple. I can put in whatever notes I want and find things so easily. I’ve found other pottery log apps to be quite laden with info and descriptions, which can be great for serious potters. But fir me, a beginner just having fun, PotteryNotes is perfect!

I use PotteryNotes and it helps me keep track of the details of the pieces I make and fire. There have been several times when I didn’t add details on projects and I regretted it later.

A great way to keep track of your work(play) including glaze combinations. Now able to share across devices with airdrop, though I’d like to be able to do batch sharing, not only single file sharing.

I love PotteryNotes and have used it for several years. It keeps track of each piece and all that I do to it and glazes I use. From one of the prior fixes, I was unable to duplicate a note and I wrote to Keith and it was fixed within two days! Keith, thank you so much. You made my day!

So easy to use and I love seeing all my pots with photos, glazes, everything I need to capture. Very organized and flexible. PotteryNotes does not limit how many glazes you can enter. I’m very happy with it. I can now throw away my file cards and notebooks.

I love love love PotteryNotes! I use PotteryNotes all the time for my ceramics class. I use it to keep pics of the projects i'm working on or the ones i worked in the past so that way I can go back and see what colors I use for glazes and what clay I used.

I’ve been using Pottery Notes from 2014, it is so great, especially for keeping track of glazes. Recently started importing pictures of projects I find online for inspiration and label them Ideas so I can sort by Ideas when trying to decide what to do next.

I love PotteryNotes to keep track of my pottery. I had a problem where all my records disappeared. Contacted support and got a very quick reply. They requested the database file which I sent. They returned the fixed file within 24 h and it worked beautifully. All records restored. Very easy process with clear instructions from support.

I am a heavy user of PotteryNotes and base my pottery business on it. I just love it. It adapts well to my workflow and I can track everything I need. Also, the developer has been so helpful and really listens to his customers. I’ve tried all the other apps, but this is the best. Can’t say enough about it. Keeping throwing mud!

Doing a lot of things at once in a large shared studio space with clay all over my hands — I found it hard to keep track of my projects until I started using Pottery Notes. I use this app to help me keep track of where my projects are and also what I did to them. It’s a lot easier to recreate something if I have notes on how I made it! I would like to be able to edit my photos within this app or export them to iPhoto for editing. Otherwise, I am very happy!

I love PotteryNotes for tracking all my work, and I love its search feature so I can find things later. The one feature I’d love to see added is an archive function so my current view doesn’t go so far back.
