Extortion ring playing corporation+tax fraud

So turns out this company has been putting ghost charges on peoples bills in Lou of anywhere from 60 to a couple hundred dollars and basically demands that they pay them the money or they get their power shut off. I’ve been going around with them and they have refused to respond to me in anyway, they have blocked my emails. They do give me phone calls whenever the city of New Orleans basically forces them to but they block their numbers so if I missed the call I can’t respond. I’ve got a State investigation going on on my account right now because are threatening to turn off my power on Monday if I don’t pay them an extra hundred dollars that is not even on my bill. I am being blackmail and extorted I have been forced to open an investigation with the city of Louisiana. I’ve also been forced to report them to the FBI and the IRS because if the money is not being recorded then that means this is massive tax fraud. They are basically holding the city of New Orleans hostage and threatening low income families with cutting their power if they don’t pay this app whatever money they demand. This is an extortion ring posing as a corporation.

Where is my account?

I know this is COVID CULTURE but no one still answers the phone. Ever. Also i get a text on my phone which would be great except I have 3 accounts so it automatically goes to the two other accounts that are on my account but are not even active. I always have to go off Entergy and go online to the website to pay. My app apparently will only allow two accounts to be linked at a time even if both are inactive. Theyadd account never works by putting my address in and says it can’t find that account even though I get text messages with this account and address. I wish they had tech help but no one is available or choose to answer the phones.

You guys are awesome

This apps great and all but this app as a whole deserves some serious recognition for simply being an excellent company.. I can’t think of single interaction with customer service that wasn’t above and beyond expectations, they are always nice, helpful, quick and informative.
On the rare occasion I lose power, even in extreme conditions like today with the winter storm hammering NE Arkansas, I’m notified immediately and have power restored within the hour.. With all the political bull here lately I just wanted to say Thank Y’all, yal truly are under appreciated..

Entergy is a rip-off

They just keep charging what I don’t use every month. They will say they’re sending someone to check my meter. I never see anyone comes in to check it. Also when I call to complain their representative always speak rudely, no customer etiquette at all from them. I don’t understand maybe that’s the way their trained. My experience with this app since have been with them is POOR!!! If there is different electricity in New Orleans I would have switch to them. Rude customer service, poor this app electricity charges. I am so frustrated with their service. Safe yourself stress, if you know any other company go with them.

Not a Great App…

Since this app came out with their new and revised app about 2 years ago, I have never been able to change my password. Initially, I changed it and it worked one time, but never again after that. After calling the company ( and being place on hold for about 25 minutes), I was always told it was fixed now, but never was. I’m frustrated by it so I gave up. It’s a shame because the old app worked just fine.

Needs improvement

Seeing only a rolling 7 days and the projected energy costs falls short of what is needed. Need to be able to see each days usage since the last bill and compared to the previous year and previous month. The usage figures shown don’t appear to be accurate and may change as a new day is added. With a digital meter, accuracy and timeliness should not be a problem. I have left several comments in the survey that pops up as you close out of Entergy , but am doubting anyone monitors those.

App and website are poorly made

It’s amazingly difficult to update one’s own contact info on either Entergy or the website. Entergy gives errors about having an invalid address when using a suite # for the mailing address (states “invalid address”) and it forces a user to input 2 phone numbers even if you only have one. Otherwise you get an incorrect error pop up stating “phone numbers must be in valid 10 digit formats”. I’ve tried on both Entergy and website but the website isn’t any better so good luck to all on accomplishing small but important details.

Routine Maintenance

For the past two days, both Entergy and website have been unavailable for me to pay my bill because they’re undergoing “routine maintenance.” Entergy is often unavailable because of routine maintenance. If this app performed that much maintenance, Entergy should work. Why in the world would this app make Entergy and website unavailable at the same time? I certainly expect that they won’t charge late fees to people whose bills were due during this episode.

Further, they should spend more time and money upgrading the power grid, instead of tinkering with an app.

Paying through app

My only problem with Entergy is, it does not let me pay through Entergy . I always have to call the customer service number in order to pay. Whenever I try to pay on Entergy , it just gives me the run around and keeps taking me to the same screen that I have previously been on. It’s frustrating

Fuel adjustment

App needs to include “fuel adjustment” and “energy charge” combined, under the usage part, when you see your daily, weekly usage, it just uses “energy charge”. Like that I can see the cost of upcoming bill, as of now I just double the amount I see. Like Entergy a lot and is very helpful and useful!

Entergy app

When I first got Entergy I loved it. The daily usage part of Entergy stopped working 3 days ago and I can’t get it to work anymore. This was the feature I liked the most because I could keep up with my usage. I really hope this feature can be fixed.

Updated Past my Available OS

Was terrible when I first got on it. It just clicked on a link to go to the website. Then it started working beautifully with an update. Everything was convenient and worked. Easy payment, easy to see usage and alerts. Very useful. The new update uses an OS beyond what’s available on my older iPhone. So now right back to not working. And not only that, now I don’t even get the link to website...just Entergy Store. Ugh!

Usage appears to be way off

Entergy is well put together and easy to use the issue I have with it is the projected bill is way off. Not only on the days remaining but the amount as well. It seems like everyone is fighting these new digital meters and this app is burying the cost in the fuel adjustment. Every month sets a new record bill for me now, even though I’m using less Kw than last year.

After they changed Entergy , I had to sign up again and all my old accounts are deleted but this new does seem impressive.

No colorblind option

Left 3 stars because there is no colorblind mode. It would have been better to have have street by street with only an outage line than to have a red and a green color showing status if you have deuteranopia.

No usage data! You advertise I can see my usage and then...

So they keep sending me notes to download the wonderful new app that will show me my usage. So I go to all the trouble of downloading, building a new user/password setup, etc. only to find that they lied...usage data is not available.

Please do not waste people’s time, this app. Tell them what Entergy will do and do not tell them it will do something if it will not.

App is only good as the people writing the bill

this app billing is the largest group of people that can’t help with any problem. 8 times the normal bill on one commercial account and no bill for the other commercial account for three months after a meter change and no one knows anything. Entergy works, but the billing needs someone that can rub two brain cells together and make a spark.

Been using Entergy now for about 5 months. We report outages but Entergy says power is on in your area. Call customer service and they say same thing but still sitting with no electricity and no heat with it being 30 degrees out and power line down on ground and still telling us we have power. Useless app !

old version was better

Entergy at least used to work like it should. Since they updated it, it would take me to like 3 different screens to be able to sign in & was beyond difficult & time wasting. Much easier to just sign in through the internet browser. App is pointless.

Doesn’t let me pay in app or on iPhone

I have to get on a computer to pay my bill each month. Every time I try to use my debit card on Entergy or mobile phone it just doesn’t work and same thing for my fiancée. For as much as we’re paying can someone fix this? I don’t understand how your website can be this bad in the 21st century.

Good for paying bill but not much else

Greetings,

For the most part, my use case is just for checking my bill on the go, as well as looking up usage statistics when I am away from my computer. That being said, I have had no issues with paying my bill through Entergy (its almost the same process as through the website), but the most frustrating aspect of Entergy is the lack of TouchID/FaceID authentication to securely logon quickly and easily. Since I use an offline password manager across my devices, this becomes a pain since I have to go into my password manager app, authenticate to the password manager via Two-Factor Authentication, copy my password for my this app account, go into the this app app, enter my credentials, and then once I am authenticated I can view my account. For me, this is the most tedious part of using Entergy and is long overdue for product improvement. Please look into implementing TouchID/FaceID in Entergy . Thank you.

Payment option is fixed

After the 5th time of downloading Entergy, I am now able to pay my bill through it. This was the main issue with Entergy for YEARS. Sad it took this long to fix but it works fine now. I paid through e-check so if there are any issues with others accounts, try that instead of a CC or debit card

Using for April 2020 Outage

I downloaded Entergy so I could view outages in my area and find out when service would be restored. The person running their Facebook account points commenters to Entergy instead of answering questions, to the which the answer is the same “we don’t know”.

Entergy often crashes. It’s weird to navigate (for the outage maps). And you have to type in your location EVERY TIME you want to view the map.

I'm not sure if all the other reviews were maybe before an update was pushed out? I just downloaded it and it's works perfectly for me, I also paid my bill with no issues at all. Very well laid out imo. Great job this app and thanks for restoring my power really fast after the great flood in Baton Rouge Louisiana!

Overpriced and Undervalued

Seeing as I live in a township that has actually contracted with this app, effectively thwarting capitalism and competitive rates, I am forced to abide with this company. However, the application as well as site has “updated” recently, making it virtually impossible to pay a bill. The links lead no where or to a loop right back where you started. Want to set up new service? Sorry, that link is dead too. For the money you extort, you would think this app would provide a viable way to collect their fees. Useless.

Awful

Trying to pay my bill with Entergy, which I thought was suppose to be convenient, but instead it’s causing more problems. Prompted to repetitive sign in pages, and agreement sign in’s, is super agitating. Not sure how big the developer team is for this app, but, having a fully, functioning app to pay our energy bill and maneuver through Entergy without any issues is a reason worth the money so, please, either pack your team with a more minds or or invest in the best. This is a headache.

Got the following when I tried to view my bill. No idea what it means. I guess we’re not allowed to see our bill now. What a joke of an app.

Useless

I’m not sure what happened to Entergy but it is horrible. The last time I had their service, it was actually useful for paying bills and the other capabilities it had. Not the best, yet it was actually useful. Can’t do anything really on Entergy. Directs you to the website, which is also in my experience useless. I’m not able to do anything I need to with this company if it isn’t by phone (after waiting on hold for 45 minutes -1 hour).

This app blows 😡

After 10 or so clicks and punching in all your card info every time you still get to a page that states “Sorry but this page is not supported at this time.” Then you still have to go through the whole thing all over again in the web page. With another 20 some odd clicks and info. Get your stuff together this app. Your the reason my password is “Imissdemco”!!!! 3 clicks and your Bill was paid with the demco app.

Is anyone at Entergy paying attention?

This "app" is part of the public face of your company. These problems have been ongoing for many months -- so how long would it take for management to respond if the front doors of your corporate headquarters were jammed shut or if your corner office toilets weren't working? Obviously the person(s) in charge of this aspect of your company have quite a bit of leverage with top management or they would have been fired months ago.

Dysfunctional

After creating a new account, it keeps bringing up my old one after we have moved and started a new service. I set up a new service a month ago with the new address and my phone number. Now it doesn’t even exist...or it is not allowing me to request access on myEntergy account. Either way... Entergy designer and web developer should be fired. It shouldn’t be this hard to log into a new account.

I read the poor reviews from others but haven't seen any of those issues. Entergy has worked flawlessly for me from the beginning.

What’s the point?

Ok. I can pay my bill, view outages, blah, blah, blah. I love those abilities but I can also do all of that on the website.

Whats the point of having an app if I have to sign in every time? I could just go to the website and sign in. Please consider an automatic sign in after the initial sign in. It would make Entergy worthy of 5 stars!

Never works

I've never been able to pay my bill or move my service through Entergy . I give them the benefit of the doubt every time and try it but the problems are never fixed. You'd think that your energy supplier would have a better working app for their customers. But what do they care? Where else will you buy energy from? Don't waste your time on this garbage.
