After upgrading XMEye early summer of 2020 I’ve been unable to view the camera over Mobile Data. The camera asks for password and XMEye fails to recognize the password and does not open the camera. If I’m using local WiFi there are no problems. I’m using an older version of XMEye on my iPad and it works both on local WiFi and Mobile Data (WAN) so there’s not a problem with the camera.
The developer refuses to respond or fix the issue which according to reviews, many users are experiencing. There has been an upgrade since but the developer fails to address the issue.
This renders XMEye unusable and hence one star.

I just installed a new update and XMEye is still broken.
If you have a version that works, then DO NOT UPDATE your app until this problem has been fixed.

Unfortunately I updated without reading pervious reviews. Doesn’t seem to be any difference except the addition of a very large add banner prior to camera access adding one more step to the process.

Just as others have said, this update wastes more of your time due to add loading.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to revert to a backed up copy of the previous version.

I’ve been using XMEye for a long time now and it has been taking a turn for the worst.
1. Now we get ads before you see your cameras and that takes 1-2minutes before they load up. With no option to remove them of any kind.

2. You can only see the HD camera when in WiFi and does NOT work well with mobile data. So if you are away from your home, good luck! Was not like this before the update!!

3. You can NOT, I repeat you can NOT reach this people for any assistance. Bad customer service. Buying a different system that works better moving forward.

4. This company does not fix anything, you update to fix bugs but it is only truly to show ads and to disable the features they say they will fix.

5. This review is for the people who are stuck with this problem with no resolution from the company and to those who are interested in buying the set up for their use. Stay away!!

6. 1 star is one too many IMO.

Every time I open XMEye it give me advertisements. Then you have to click the top section after that it does not take the password you need to select local then the camera and after so many clicks view camera. Why, why, why so many clicks. Other cameras is only one click and you have all the cameras then you select one or keep viewing them all. XMEye work the opposite.
They need better programer the current one are doing terrible work. The camera is good XMEye is terrible don’t waste your money on this product.

I use to be able to access my cameras without being on the same Wi-Fi network. Now I have to have the same Wi-Fi to be able to view my cameras. When I message them about it I was told that it’s my internet with can’t be because I can view cameras on a different device without Wi-Fi. The second problem I am having is the alert notification, I can receive the but when I go to click on it to see what it could be it tells me no picture or video found. I really like XMEye and would keep using if this is resolved thanks.

had no issues for the past 2 years system worked great now i cant view the cameras anymore when away kinda use less now whats the point if you can fix this issue asap that would be great or i will be purchasing and different brand system asap !!!

So i got XMEye due to heimvision recommending it. It was working fine. I would get notifications whenever there was motion detection. But now, i get no notifications and the quality of the video has gone down. XMEye is a complete joke and i hope they update it to fix all these issues. I just need notifications when there is motion detection, is that too much to ask?

XMEye has barely worked as it is over the last few years but I was stuck using it because I was cheap and bought a cheap camera system. Takes forever to load. Interface not user friendly at all. Scrolling video timeline is horrible.

And now you have ads playing before XMEye even opens half the time? If I could give negative stars I absolutely would. Remove the ads and then this will go back to like a 2 star app.

You’re pushing ads now? So now I have to like, wait in upwards of 15 + seconds to get to my cameras? Ya no. I’m shopping for new cameras lol. Update. The ads are so bad and slow now that if you need to check anything in any kind of hurry it’s useless. If I could give it zero I would. What a joke.

And now I can’t use XMEye at all without an account? So now you have forced ads and you’re selling our email addresses and info?

Who do I contact about a refund on the entire security system?

If I can get XMEye zero out of five I would it is a horrible application. It never saves the logins. I have to reset my password every time I open up XMEye and it doesn’t actually save it for the following day. I have to go back to reset a new password once again because it won’t ever take the same password, but it takes the same password on the computer in order to login and reset it just fine.

Been using this for our business for the last 4 years and not once has it ever worked 100%! Currently after updating XMEye as required I can no longer view past history! What do you mean no channel found?! Getting a new system installed and will definitely not be using XMEye!

I paid for 30 days every day for one year, 6990 and soon after it stopped working. I’m trying to get in touch with XMEye company about this problem. Are used to receive notification, but the video could not be retrieved. So I decided to delete XMEye and reload it up again. Now I don’t even get any notification. I don’t want to pay for something that I am not going to get service by. Please fix it or give me my money back thank you, shygirl7

The badly translated English and the fact you have to open your system every time you launch XMEye is so stupid. I really want them to also remove the popup “Push notifications disabled” where you have to press “I know” every time as well! If I turn off push notifications I don’t need to be reminded they are off every time I open XMEye !

About every 30 days or so XMEye stops working, or it will ask you to login but it won’t accept the password and eventually lock your account. I have found that when these things happen if you unplug the power to the system for a couple minutes and reinstall XMEye it seems to get everything going again. It is inconvenient and ridiculous that this has to be done, especially if your leaving the house for a trip and it decides to act up then. It would be a pretty good little system if this was not an issue.

When you look at cams,it turns your screen max bright you have to go into setting and put it back where you like it(iPhone) Shouldn’t do that.

After the last update, I can no longer access my cameras with XMEye unless I am connected to the same WiFi as my cameras. Pretty much defeats the whole purpose of XMEye if I cannot view my cameras remotely. Please fix this issue!

It was a good app until the latest updates which forces you to see ads once you open it up. Now they put more ads in another page. If XMEye is working fine for you, DO NOT update because it’ll just put more ads for you to see.

My VCR is located in a shop and is connected to several cameras and one microphone. I could watch the shop live with sound, but there is no sound in playback. It is very important to have sound in playback as well. Would you please explain how is it possible?

Solid system. Does work remotely. Please ignore the comments about Ads as this option can be shut off under settings. Simple and easy to use.

I have not had a problem one time. During setup I had connection problems but soon realized I was stuck behind a firewall. After forwarding the correct port I can view in real time and watch playback perfectly! XMEye is very well put together! Thank you to all who helped creat it

I purchased this security system. It has been hardwired installed and it doesn’t work 3 out of my 4 cameras work and XMEye will not connect to my box. We have had a huge string of theft and I really need this to work it junk!

After the update, I’m unable to access the cameras from my phone. It gives the message that the device maybe offline. Does anyone have the same experience? My cameras are useless now. Does anyone know of another app that works?

Yesterday morning as my routine checking my cameras to view my house in the country and there XMEye did not work well nothing in the camera it is all blank until this very moment. What happened after this latest iOS update? please kindly fix it.

Was considering to recommend for a friend for a more inexpensive product but after reading all the review here and the no support, I wouldn’t recommend you buy it. Always look for the reviews and do your research people. Like Guardiola went bankrupt according to the BBB File Report online. I’d recommend Ring or others out there.

I wish I could give no stars because XMEye no longer works. All of the sudden, it tells me my devices may not be connected, which they are, and will not show me any feed from my phone. Yet, I can still see the feed on the monitor. XMEye is no longer functional. Something needs to change.

My camera has a sd card and saves video on board. In the new version I can’t find how to playback that video. Please advise how to fix that or please bring back the old version. XMEye gets 4.5 stars the old way but only 1 after the newest update, if fixed I’d review again and give it higher rating

XMEye will only let you view cameras locally when you are connected to the same WiFi network. If you’re looking for an app to check cameras while you are away, this is not XMEye for you

My unit ask me about update I click on it and now it doesn’t work at all. I have a big paper weight. Unit doesn’t connect. I don’t recommend this product. It has been wasted money. 🥀 weight

There was a recent update that has affect the ability to review prior video recordings. It just buffers and doesn’t allow you to review previous video footage. Please fix the problem. Thanks

No matter what the okay back feed always has a lag like my internet connection is awful but i have tested that so that’s not it. Could it be the engine running this platform

XMEye works with my NVR which allows me to view most of my inexpensive ip cameras. For the most part it works well. But the developers need to fix some issues.

🙁 XMEye turns automatically turns up the screen brightness all the way on both the iPad and iPhone, which does not revert back even after you have closed XMEye . You have to turn of the device and turn it back on to go back to normal settings.
🙁 The main page is only in portrait mode, and once you view cameras you can rotate the iPad or iPhone to view in landscape. Often times you have to keep adjusting the angle to get into landscape mode.
🙁 Video playback is almost impossible in XMEye . It either is super sluggish or doesn't work at all.
🙁 There are just too many clicks required and screens to go through to perform basic functions. Enabling and disabling cameras, turning alarms of and on, and viewing alarm pics and watching videos should have shortcuts.

🤔 Is highly doubt the developer reads these reviews, so I have probably wasted my time writing this. Hopefully they keep making improvements or I might finally have on give in and scrap all my various cameras and NVR and buy a supported system.
